Very impressed with Schaal. Sales guy "Chris" ... Very helpful and explains thins in plain, simple and straight to the point with no bull. Install Techs "Travis" and "Chris" did an excellent job. Two of them were ripped out the old Lennox and put in the American Standard in what seemed like no time flat. They tested everything and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend Schaal.

During my estimation appointment, Matt did a very thorough inspection of my heating and cooling systems, and took the time to explain the issues and options for replacement. Brayton and Zac were great. They installed our new furnace and air conditioner today. Unreal how quite the new furnace is. They put waterproof runners down on the carpet and cleaned up the work area. Except for the new furnace you would never know that they were here.

We purchased a new furnace and air conditioner 4 months ago. The first heat season resulted I of the units failing. The technician, Kris was able to determine the cause, which was related to a humidifier unit not a failure of the furnace. He was also able to assure equal heating through out our home. He worked diligently and efficiently demonstrating an impressive understanding of our unit and an excellent diagnostic skill. He was professional and easy to work with with a willingness to address our concerns. Because of his work our decision to choose Schaal was again validated. I would highly recommend this company.

My wife and I had our A/C unit go out on us during one of the first hot weeks of the year unfortunately. I called Schaal and they sent out Chazz Machamer to go through all of our options and pick out what unit was right for us to replace. Once we picked out the right unit, then they sent out Chris Beckman along with Zach to swap out our old unit for the new one. These gentlemen did a great job. Once they were done installing the new unit, they walked me through on how to use it very throughly. I’d highly recommend Schaal!

Kristel V was awesome. She was friendly and kind. She asked if I wanted her to wear a mask, she wore shoe coverings while inside and was very cognizant and respectful of my safety concerns about 2 little dogs not getting out. Kristel did a very thorough job in tuning up both the Heating and AC systems. She listened well and answered all my questions, then sat down for a comprehensive explanation (with illustrations) of all that her work entailed, the results, the options available, and her recommendations. The charge for her time and work was exactly what was quoted when I made the appointment. After she left, I received an email detailing what she had told me (very helpful, as there was SO much info), with photos of the systems and illustrations rating the condition of the affected parts. I will use Schaal again and I highly recommend Kristel.

Our furnace stopped working, and since it was an old unit, replacing it with something more efficient was the best option. We had Jesse come out for the initial inspection and measuring. He was great, very friendly and professional. For the install, we had Matt and Graham. They ran into some issues, and it ended up being a longer job the expected. But, they were determined to get everything working before they left. They even escalated their issue to their manager, who also came over to help. They were all very professional, polite, and knowledgeable about what they were doing. They walked me through the new systems and what to expect. Customer satisfaction was definitely a priority for these guys, and I greatly appreciate them getting the job done in one day.

Sewer line replacement. They were very professional, accurate on every aspect. Quoted us a price and lowered it since my husband did the fence and sidewalk removal himself. They said they would be here on a certain day and THEY WERE. ON TIME WITH THE SUPERVISING BOSS and a complete crew to dig up our front yard. We were one of the many who had pipes burst with the recent cold temps. The person who answered the phone was friendly and helpful in getting an emergency repair scheduled, and upfront about the costs associated. The service technicians came by today and were very straightforward and friendly, making sure we understood what they were doing and why they were doing it. Quickly repaired the damaged pipe and cleaned up the dust after confirming the leak was repaired. Great value and will be using Schaal for any future needs!

Everything seemed to fail at the same time in our house and these guys were excellent. Prompt response and reliable service. We appreciated Kevin's multiple visits to make sure our system was operating correctly and then his recommendations to save us money. Dylan was meticulous in his assessment of our furnace and water heater and provided a fair and detailed quote. Chris and Gage showed up on-time to install our new furnace and water heater, kept me informed throughout the process and got us up and running in a few hours. To my surprise Schaal answered their phone and was able to send a service technician out to my house on a Sunday!! Kevin came to the house and diagnosed the AC issues. He took several pictures of the problems he found in the unit and shared them with us. He was very detailed with his explanations of the problems and the fixes. We were able to schedule the work to be done on the following Tuesday. Kevin came to the house and completed the work without any issues. Joe came to our house to unplug a toilet and ended up thoroughly checking the water pressure in the whole house. We ended up deciding to replace the toilet but we have a small space and they didn't have what we wanted on hand. We went out and purchased one elsewhere and Joe came back the next day to install it for us. I needed to have my tub and sink vented as the tub was using my sink as the vent. I had the entire waste stack replaced and had a new toilet installed and it was quick turnaround from my accepting the bid to the work being completed. Everything looks fantastic. The install was completed within 4 hours. They had a roofer come out the same day to make sure the roof was sealed up properly around the new vents. We live in new construction and Riley was showing me how filthy the dry wall dust from construction had built up on the wheel! Unbelievable how bad it was. Schaal came to our rescue! It was upsetting when our water heater suddenly started gushing water late on Saturday night! I went with Schaal last year and put in a new air conditioner, furnace, and humidifier. Paid a bit more to do so with them, but they are responsive when I call and have been very professional throughout. Great units as well. Two maintenance checks a year and I’m on auto pilot with them, in good hands.

He evaluated our old water heater and provided an estimate to repair it but as it was 18 years old, we chose to replace it instead. Gave us pricing options for the work a then went and got a replacement and installed it quickly and efficiently. Scott was very friendly. We'll be using Schaal in the future for our heating and cooling service.

I had my water heater break (and spill large amounts of water everywhere) on a Sunday. Sam came out same day. Even though it was a Sunday, he took his time explaining options with me and made friends with my kids and dogs. Later had my heating and cooling system replaced by them because the experience was so good.

Jonathon Van is absolutely the plumber you want to call. Since he works at Schaal, call them and ask for Jonathon. He arrived to fix a drip from our upstairs bathtub faucet. He was also tasked with discovering the source of a leak inside the bathtub wall that was damaging our downstairs bathroom ceiling and wall. He found an improper type of pipe had been installed that had rusted out inside the wall. This made the job much more complicated. He figured it all out and cut a small square in the dry wall of the dining room to come in from behind the bathroom wall. This eliminated any possibility of damage to our bathtub or the tiles on the shower wall. He installed brand new (proper) pipes and hot/cold water valve system inside the wall and included a new shower head and pipe! He cleaned up everything and replaced the dry wall square back on the dining room wall. It’s now a simple matter for a dry wall contractor to make it like it never happened. This job was double or triple the difficulty of the original job, but we were only charged the original quote amount. Jonathon and Schaal Plumbing, Heating and Cooling are highly recommended.

I have been a Schaal’s customer since purchasing a new furnace and A/C from them in 2017. Every employee with whom I have interacted through the years has been cheerful and eager to accommodate, and the level of service always has been top notch. Yesterday’s heating inspection visit was no different, but I must call out the technician, Isaiah, as being a particularly commendable representative of Schaal’s. Isaiah proved to be a personable and technically proficient young man. He explained the results of many of the key tests he conducted on my heating system, and he recommended a minor upgrade that should extend the life of it. I work from home, and I was impressed at the polite and respectful way that Isaiah went about his inspection. In my view, Isaiah’s conduct and performance during this service call reflect great credit upon himself and the Schaal family.

After -13 temps and 40 mile an hour winds we had a cold water pipe to our upstairs bathroom freeze up. They gave me some tips over the phone that were very helpful and had someone here the next morning despite being incredibly busy. Scott arrived and promptly evaluated our situation and explained our options, as well, as how to minimize the risk of this one pipe bursting. He checked the outside walls and made sure we were doing everything appropriate to the situation. Although he didn’t actually do anything, he gave us peace of mind that was well worth the trip cost. Juan, Gersham and Maurice were awesome! They were professional, genuinely polite and extremely good at their jobs. If you're looking for a company to trust for your HVAC needs, look no further! I needed help within a few weeks to have a new HVAC system installed. I choose Schaal because of their large positive review base and their flexible availability. A consultant came to the home and was very friendly and informative. He showed me the options and I went with the most basic furnace/ac install offered. A few days later, Adam and Gage came to install the system. They were also very courteous and helpful. I was very excited to have the new system up and running! This is where things got complicated. I hate to report about troubles, but it's really the way the company relentlessly handled the issues that makes me speak so highly of them. Unfortunately the new system was failing to keep up cooling of the home. The first service visit revealed a strange issue where the furnace would fire up for just a few moments every so often, interfering with the cooling. The techs replaced the thermostat, but the issue persisted. I have to say everyone on the Schaal team really impressed me. They were so friendly and polite, and I enjoyed seeing them during the several service visits to my home. When the issue still couldn't be fixed, Cody the manager came himself to investigate and see what could be done. He said that because the size of the AC unit was slightly underrated for the space according to one of several complicated calculations done, the company would upgrade the size at no extra cost to me. I was thrilled with the offer and all my fears of an extended back and forth trying to get satisfaction were assuaged. During the two days Cody was over investigating the issues, he and the tech he came with the second day even helped me replace a broken bathroom circulation fan that I had bungled trying to do myself. I was so thrilled and thankful that they would do that, but Cody was happy to help on account of my troubles and good faith in the company. It may not seem like much, but it wasn't an easy job for them and I just can't say how thankful and impressed I was, and what a load of trouble they saved me by fixing it. The entire team I dealt with - Bailee and Angie, Cody, Bryce, Sam, Ryan, Dave, Adam and Gage - were all the most friendly and dedicated people you can imagine. Angie especially really brightened my day each visit just with fun small talk about my family and my hobbies, especially since I was feeling stressed about getting a lot of things squared away. She and Bailee were the last folks I saw so far addressing the issues, and Bailee impressed me so much by going the extra mile and rerouting some old ducts to avoid possible condensation issues, because I had said how concerned I was about any moisture wicking into drywall. The kindness of the team along with the company's persistence and dedication to fixing my issues has really been a huge blessing in my life. I know you might think - sure a company should make sure its service/product is working, but in my life I've had stress a handful of times getting contractors to make good on stuff. They arrived on-time with professional communication when on their way, and protected my home from any damage that could occur when bringing in the new, and taking out the old. Their installation job was done to a high quality of craftmanship that I very much appreciate. These folks don't re-use old valves just because they still look good, they do the right thing and replace the appropriate parts to ensure a safe and proper job. Being thorough and doing the entire job properly didn't slow them down, as the entire project was done within a couple hours. The product itself is a quality water heater from the world's largest manufacturer of water heaters. While I can't expect that I'll always get 20+ years (my old one that failed was the original with the home when constructed 23 years ago), the standard warranty of 6 years on the water heater, and 1 year on their service will give me peace of mind. Don't waste your time...go with Schaal, ya'll!

Our furnace quit working on Monday night before a big winter storm/blizzard was to hit on Thursday. I used Schaal's on-line reservation system to set up an appointment. I was concerned that with the holidays and bad weather I might have trouble getting an appointment but to my relief I was confirmed for an appointment Wednesday morning. On Tuesday morning I followed up by phone to tell Schaal that I was more interested in replacement rather than repair of our 28 year old system. Within a couple hours, Chaz was at our home to discuss replacement options. Chaz looked at our current set up, made some measurements, then we sat down to discuss our options. Chaz was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. We decided on a system that fit our needs and budget and scheduled an installation for the next day (Wednesday)! Wednesday morning at 8 am sharp Michael his work pardner (I apologize for forgetting his name) arrived to do the install. Once again I was impressed by their punctuality, professionalism, and efficiency as they proceeded to remove the old system and install the new. In about 6 hours we had a new system installed and warm air blowing from our vents! Today is Thursday with temperatures below zero and very high winds and we are warm and comfortable thanks to the new system. I can't express how happy we are with the service we received from Schaal's. With the Christmas holidays AND a major winter storm bearing down on us they were able to insure that we would stay warm and safe for the holidays. Thanks so much to Chaz, Michael, the technician who's name I forgot, and all the folks at Schall's Heating and Cooling! We will not hesitate to "Call Schall ya'all" for any future needs. Overall a stellar experience - from Joe's initial consultation to Steve and teams removal and installation. Everyone had a great attitude. I have not an issue with the workmanship or system performance. Only small issue (and it is small) is we were scheduled for a Friday and they called Thursday (the one day we said was not good for us) to see if we could help them out and have our installation moved up to that day as they had an opening and wanted to keep their install team busy. As my manner is I said, "Sure, we can make that work though I'll need 10-15 minutes notice to leave my office to get home to let them in. Do I get the standard 10% discount for being so helpful?" Todd said he'd have to run that request up the tree, I replied "great" and we both chuckled a bit. Upon arriving at our home Steve provided an excellent overview of what to expect including timing. The same lead time to get me back from my office to be provided a system tutorial and pay them was shared. At that time I mentioned that Todd was running the 10% discount up the tree and then offered I would be most happy if they simply installed the surge protectors at no charge which was a much better value for them - $600 retail value as compared to a $1100 discount. Apparently it was decided that our helping them out had no value beyond what they would have provided the next day, the scheduled day. Again, not a huge deal, simply a bit disappointing as it seems as though our inconvenience had no value in comparison with their need to keep their crew busy. Now the GREAT news is that the system seems to be amazing! Very happy with the end result.

I can't say enough about how friendly and professional John was. He did regular maintenance on my furnace but I made a comment that I probably needed to get in touch with a Schaal plumber and he asked what was going on. In 5 minutes, he strapped the pipe up toward the ceiling so my sump pump didn't back up and also fixed the cold/hot water inputs into my washer that were screwed up by another vendor. He didn't need to do that on his time but he went above and beyond to fix it. I would recommend using Schaal for any service!

Schaal proved to be a very professional residential HVAC installer. I've always thought their slogan is a little goofy, so I was hesitant at first. Dylan from their office came out to provide a quote for a replacement Furnace/AC. He provided me many different options and didn't push any services that I didn't need. He provided a quote for a variable speed, two stage furnace that was very competitive compared to the other estimates I received. Chris and another installer (didn't catch his name) showed up right on time the day I was told they would show up. They were both young guys but really did a quality job on the install and all sheet metal work. I was really happy they sealed around the furnace exhaust with spray foam insulation. They even swept up the area around the furnace before they left. Overall, I am very happy with the quality and price of the HVAC install!

Thanks to their thorough work, we now know the furnace has a cracked part and it isn't safe to run this winter-- this inspection literally saved us, and we originally called about the AC! No repairs performed. Just paid 500$ for sink water shut off and disconnect and removal of a very lightweight sink so laminate can be installed on my countertops. Then they will put sink back and reconnect. Again, no repairs, just removal and place sink back when laminate has been replaced cost that much money. The only reason I give 3 stars is Joe Burkle. He is a kind person who did not talk down to me. He reconnected my plumbing after the countertop was installed.

Our two furnaces are 17 years old but they're still working like a champ thanks to Schaal's extra TLC. However, the furnaces will need to be replaced at some point and they’re helping us prepare for what is needed when the time comes. The technician, Christian Abbott arrived on time, was very friendly. He wore a mask and shoe coverings. Asked appropriate questions and if we had any problems with our furnace. I directed to the furnace room. He explained the maintenance procedure he was going to complete. After he completed the inspection he explained some minor items he found. He explained normal ware for a unit of the age of our furnace. He did recommend replacing a capacitor on the blower motor, explained what it’s purpose was and gave me the option to replace it or not. No pressure, just a full explanation that it was weak and will possibly fail at some point. He did have the part on his service vehicle, and installed it. His work area was clean up like he found it. He explained everything he had done, and asked if we had a question. Extremely satisfied with the technician, and as always, very satisfied with Schaal Plumbing Heating and A/C. I would highly recommend them.

The technicians installed my A/C and furnace all in the same day. They went above and beyond and even sealed up some gaps that i had in my walls around the pipes that lead to the outside of my house. They also had to redo some of the ductwork right where the system went and made sure it was done right and made it look professional. They were able to answer all of my questions about the proper way to care and maintain the systems and made sure that i knew how to use the digital thermostat too. The sales representative that sold me the units was also great and didn't try to pressure me into something that was costly just to make a sale. They made sure that i was put into something that would work well for my home and provided financing options that would fit my budget. Overall the whole company was awesome.

TLDR:10/10 would recommend. Jakob took the time to explain the job and any questions that I had about my plumbing. I really valued the educational piece he provided because it helped me understand my house a little better. He explained what was normal, what I needed to keep an eye on, and how to take care of the existing plumbing so that it lasts longer without issues. My fixtures are quite old so While he was very knowledgeable, I appreciated that he took the took the time to check with his coworkers to make sure he was dismantling it correctly. This saved me money because he didn’t break anything all in all it cost me $507.97 to repair/replace the shower faucet that was leaking into the basement and to saw off and cap a pipe to an outside spigot that was removed a long time ago and had started to leak. I felt that this was a very fair price. He was at my home for about 4 hours. Jakob also made a Harry Potter reference, so he should probably get 11/10.
