Poudre Valley Air installed an ultra efficient recessed mini-split system throughout my home. Everything is mounted in the ceiling and is super sleek and clean. There is nothing exposed on the exterior walls of my house and there is no chunky box up high on the interior walls of my rooms. The system both heats and cools. Jason designed it. His technical knowledge and ability to design and problem solve completely surpassed everyone else I spoke with. I got estimates from 3 other HVAC companies. When I asked them about the type of system Jason was suggesting, they didn't know what he was talking about. One thought they could maybe do something similar but their estimate was fully double Jason's estimate. No kidding. There was a glitch with getting in all the parts in time (go figure, with Covid running strong) and I had an international tenant arriving soon. The staff of Poudre Valley absolutely bent over backwards trying to get this done for me. They called other hvac companies up and down the front range and were able to source the missing parts from them. Wyatt and his crew did the install. They worked almost around the clock to get my job done in time because they knew I was in a serious pinch. Their work was outstanding. This was a huge, complicated job and when they left, it was so clean I almost couldn't tell contractors had been there. Wyatt walked me through everything and taught how to best use and maintain my system. The service I received from Poudre Valley Air was unmatched. In this day and age, service like this is dying. They took the time to understand me and get to know me and they gave me and my project what was needed. It was an absolute pleasure to work with PVA. I can't recommend them enough!

Amazing, professional, on time, and even covered ceiling repairs that had to be opened to install the A/C. This company kept us informed about everything and never changed the quote of the cost. There is a great credit card they offer for home improvements with zero percent interest. Drove 40 miles to install. Came out for installation within a week of calling for service. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Also, very cleanly and asked before they did anything that they thought would mess with the aesthetic of out home. Thank You Poudre Valley air!!!

I truly feel blessed to have had such an awesome crew that completed the first part of our AC/Furnace installation. Caleb, Trey, Seth, Nathan, and Dustin were amazing. They were professional and did a great job working in a really tight attic space and snug living area. There’s a little work left to be done, a couple touch ups here and there as this was an odd retrofit but nothing I’m concerned about. I am so grateful that they stayed until the AC was totally hooked up, even though it meant a 14 hr day for them. I was also really surprised and grateful for how clean they worked. I’ve had other company crews out to the house before and had to spend most of the following day cleaning up. Not this time! A little bit of vacuuming here and wiping there but nothing compared to what I’ve had to do in the past with other companies. I look forward to having them out again!! And I’d highly recommend calling and asking to speak with Jaysen, the solutions specialist that came out to the house and guided us through the whole process.

My furnace stopped working on Thursday of this week. A technician came over and it seemed like the problem was fixed but that night the furnace stopped working again. I called Poudre Valley Air and the technician, Steve, came out twice. He ended up replacing the blower motor. He was responsive and very honest. He explained everything he did. Our Trane furnace and air conditioning unit were both installed by Poudre Valley Air in 2013 and we get a maintenance contract with them because they are dependable. I can’t speak highly enough about Steve, the technician. He was terrific.

We have a service contract with PVA for our HVAC system. Furnace gets serviced once a year in the Fall and AC gets serviced once a year in the Spring (or in this case due to the pandemic, Summer). Today we had the AC service completed. We've owned this home less than a year. We knew the AC was old, but we did not know it was 25 years old! It's a York. They certainly don't build 'em like that anymore. Our tech was quite surprised to see how old it is and said it's 10+ years beyond it's expected life, but working perfectly. All tests spec'd out. We had PV Air come out initially for maintenance on our furnace. They were great! Timely, honest and low pressure. Due to the age of our furnace and the cost of the needed repair we decided to install it new furnace and add a/c while at it. We shopped around and their prices were as good or better than other companies. We had both installed and decided to have the ducts cleaned since we were having the rest done. They were so polite and kind to each other, constantly asking if they could borrow this or that from each other--I've had a lot of contractors/technicians in my house in the last 5 years and this was by far the nicest bunch. Also, possibly more of note, the air conditioning works great and is my new favorite thing in life. I had some quotes that were over double what we paid (granted it was for mini-splits not central, but we wanted central anyway!) Some quotes said it would be nearly impossible to install central air in our house. Glad that wasn't the answer here! If you need me, I'll just be hosting people in my icy cold home this summer. 💁

I had an excellent experience with PVA with the installation of my new furnace and AC. They arrived on time with all their equipment and new units. After a short tour of the old equipment it was determined that the new AC unit needed to be relocated and electrical run to the the new location. They quickly arranged for technicians to do the electrical work while they continued on with their work. Both of technicians understood their roles and worked independently to efficiently install both units and to test them prior to giving us a tutorial on our new equipment. They were friendly, courteous, and respectful to us and our home, while displaying the depth of knowledge you would want from someone doing this kind of work. Additionally, they completely cleaned up after themselves, not leaving a scrap behind. They are welcome back in my home anytime.

Actually, everyone we had contact with at Poudre Valley Air was like this, including Dimitri who diagnosed our old dead furnace, and Rock who provided well explained options and an estimate for the work — even the person we first talked to on the phone asking for help! We were really relieved to get a new furnace before the single-digit nights the past two days! Someone up that line deserves an “atta person” for hiring an outstanding team. You are the ones we will judge other services by in the future! (Edit: I have had several more interactions with PVA and they have all been as good as the first two years ago.)

Dominic and the crew did an excellent job of removing our old furnace and air conditioner and installing new equipment. They were very careful of our floor coverings and cleaned up after the work was completed. Rock was our Project Manager and he helped us select new equipment that was significantly better than what we replaced (28 years old), but he did not try to upsell us beyond what we needed. A great cost effective solution was provided by the team at Poudre Valley Air.

Their folder's cover says, "When you just want great service...", and Poudre Valley Air lives up to that slogan. We called them one day to get our furnace serviced. Well, it was old and leaking a lot of hazardous carbon monoxide. The service tech, Brody, shut off the gas then and there. Yikes! But from that moment on we never felt abandoned. Brody called the office and got us set up to choose a new furnace that night and install it the next day. Then he left us with space heaters to get us through the night. That evening Andy came through with a lot of options, which he helped us navigate easily. We put in our order. The next day, Dominik and Dustin worked the entire day getting us set up with a new furnace and air conditioner. They were extremely professional, keeping our carpets clean, carefully routing all pipes and wires, responding to all my questions and concerns. They even hauled away my old evaporative cooler. Start to finish I could not have been happier with my service experience with Poudre. Thanks everyone!

Just paid the electric bill for the first full month with our new PVA second-floor mini split system. The upstairs office is comfortable for the first time in 15 years. The year-to-year power usage over the same period last year was 127 KWH less (27% reduction). The bill was $17.56 lower (37% reduction). We could never get the upstairs below 78° no matter how cold the downstairs was. Now it is perfectly comfortable upstairs and down with significant savings. The old unit doesn’t even come on until evening on these 90+° days. We didn't know going in whether we would save anything on electricity, but the new system is ultra efficient and is carrying the bulk of the cooling during the day…quietly…inside and outside. We picked Poudre Valley for their reasonable bid on the system and would go back for their excellent service.

They are a wonderful company to work with. They do excellent work. Wyatt was such a delight to work with, kind respectful hard working and made sure everything was done properly. I cannot say enough good things about them. They put in an air purification system into my home. this literally saved my life. I did not think I would live thru the winter, They were understanding of my needs and worked with me. I originally contacted Rock, he listened to my needs and came up with a solution for me. We have been customers of PVA for awhile now... every time we have an issue we call them. Most technicians are good, but Trace was the best by far. It is 100 degrees here, we had two technicians out in two days who couldn't figure out the issue. He came out, figured out what the problem was right away, and fixed it. Joe came to help us with our furnace. He had such great customer service skills. My little guy got his first wasp sting and Joe immediately got some mud for me to apply to his neck to help reduce the sting. Joe connected right away with my son to get him distracted and gave him a Gatorade and granola bars which stopped the crying and got him on the mend. Last year, on another unit, Poudre Valley Air placed duct work to get heat upstairs in our old old house and replaced our heater there. Rock was great. He was able to came promptly for an estimate and gave me a very reasonable quote right there before he left in a print out. They also have an on call tech 24/7. Phillip was awesome. The minute he got here I knew we'd hired the right people. He was friendly but worked efficiently and was even concerned the duct cleaning would scare my dogs. Our vents definitely needed some TLC and I already feel like I can breathe better. He also serviced the furnace and made sure 100% that is was in working order before leaving. This is a trustworthy company that provides quality, friendly service. I've had great experiences with every interaction. My latest interaction was with Brody W., who came out to service the A/C unit on our new home. He was patient with my questions and answered everything thoroughly, which was great because I'd never had A/C before and I had a few questions. He also explained that even though the unit was old, it did not necessarily need to be replaced, where another company might have tried to upsell me a new unit. This is one of many reasons I trust this company.

Best heating and air service in town, hands down. Service personnel are trained experts. They'll come when needed, repair and/or install the best equipment at very competitive prices. If your existing equipment passes all checks, they won't try and sell you something new. However if something is needed, such as a replacement furnace, they'll gladly sit down and discuss your alternatives without commitment on your part. They offer 'second opinions' as well as reasonable 'service contracts' too. Honesty and trust is paramount in this business, and you can trust Poudre Valley Air.

Incredible staff, and knowledgeable technicians. But they do not stock parts for anything but the line they sell. So plan in waits for parts. Also like everyone else they are stretched thin for employees and so plan on a wait for an appt also. Staff is super nice. Also they do a maintenance program that can save you money on calls and head off some problems.

The salesman was the most respectful estimator to bid on my project and didn't talk down to me at all. He helped repair an imbalance with the air conditioner during the estimate. The people who installed the furnace were very polite and efficient. They also cleaned my ducts and my house is 1/10th as dusty as it was before. My new furnace is helping give our old AC more life and efficiency just like the salesman said it would. I was very pleased with the service and the product.

Their technicians are always professional and do a good job with our HVAC systems spring and fall maintenance. I also purchased the systems from Poudre Valley Htg & Air originally about six years ago. I do however feel all their technicians should be fully vaccinated against COVID19 as of May 2021 before entering homes. Today a tech started coming in without a mask. I asked if he was vaccinated and he said "no I'm one of those that don't think they know enough about it yet." Well he is putting others in jeopardy. He graciously went back and got a mask, but as far as I'm concerned, now that vaccines are readily available and free, service technicians entering private homes and businesses should be vaccinated.

I had a whole house humidifier installed on our furnace today. The tech (Dominik) was friendly, easy to work with, and thorough. There were some items/questions he consulted with me on specific to our installation. The result was an installation matching what we talked about and was well done. Including having the unit, lines, and ducting installed in a neat and orderly manner rather than hodge-podge (which I had happen with a previous vendor at our previous house). Also, the entire work area was left neat and clean. Overall, a quality installation that I am very pleased with. And the pricing beat another quote I received by $150.

Our furnace went out. They were there within 4 hours. The technician came out 3 separate times over 2 days with replacement parts - nothing worked, looked like we had a cascading failure - where one part caused multiple failures. He suggested we get a new furnace since the repair was mounting to more than 1/3 the cost of a new furnace. We installed a new furnace, but codes had changed, which hadn't been included in the cost of a new furnace. They had to install an entirely new intake to the furnace. They did all the diagnostic work and this intake work for no additional cost! We went awhile without heat, but I'm a very satisfied customer.

I also asked Larry about a small leak I had in the overflow pipe on my water heater. He quickly fixed the leak by tweaking the overflow value! Overall we were very pleased with the work. So far, I am extremely happy to have switched to PVA from now two local firms who were either completely unresponsive, or charged way too much for inferior expertise and service. I first called PVA for a second opinion on a dead a/c system that was only 5 years old, but was leaking refrigerant in at least two different places. The PVA tech quickly spotted a problem that one of the other guys missed, even after paying to dump 3lbs of (overpriced) refrigerant into the obviously leaking compressor. I could easily tell that the PVA technician knew the equipment far better, AND--best of all, they came out within an hour of calling them, even in the busy early July a/c repair season. Customer service and responsiveness is the best I've encountered so far in Fort Collins. Ultimately, I decided I had to replace the compressor and evaporator units because both had failed. Andy at PVA not only gave me a very good and competitive quote, but discovered the previous system was under-sized. And, as it turns out, was not properly installed either. Cory did an excellent and thorough job installing the new equipment, explained everything they did in great detail, gave me great advice for future maintenance, and I'm finally back in action with a new a/c. I'm likely going to stay with PVA for regular maintenance and any future HVAC work because while they may not be the cheapest, I'm convinced they are among the best VALUE for HVAC work in Fort Collins. They are responsive, give excellent customer service, and get the job done with skill. I'll gladly pay a few extra dollars for that, given how much money I wasted with two other inferior companies.

Ian came out and after running a leak check, found a refrigerant leak in the coil. After discussing my options, I decided to have the coil replaced and was promptly given a quote and replacement of the coil was scheduled for a few days later. The experience began with Andy who thoroughly explained all about variable speed 2stage furnaces versus single stage. He was more thorough and had answers more understandable than the four other vendors. Dominic and Shasha installed a new Trane XV 80 on a 15 degree snowy day and were professional. When it came time for thermostat installation, the correct one wasn't in the truck and after explaining the differences between what they had and what I was recommended by Andy, they went and got what they thought was the correct one. When it wasn't they went again and got the correct Honeywell 8000 and EIM. I was probably a stickler for detail but they were patient and never impolite. Poudre Valley Air delivered exceptional service and installation of a whole house humidifier and a new high efficiency 5" furnace filter system, with accommodating duct materials. Additionally, a modification to the duct system was necessary for the installation of additional laminated beams to support additional weight on the first floor. Poudre Valley performed the temporary removal and the replacement without any collateral damage, perhaps installing the removed materials to a better-than-original state. This happened recently and PVA immediately sent out a technician to investigate. We were very fortunate to have Mike Hybiak as the technician. He fully investigated the system, worked his network to get answers and spent time to understand potential root causes. We highly recommend him on his dedication and persistence on solving the issue. Since the error is intermittent, it is very difficult to trace to root cause.
