If you are looking for heating and air unit installation I would recommend Killman Hearing and Air based off my recent experience with them. I’ve had several consultations with different businesses in this line of work and after careful consideration I chose based off a few factors. First Andy was the rep that came out, looked at everything, provided me with options, was courteous, and very patient as it took me a while to decide which option was best for my situation. At no time did I feel pressured into making any decisions. Second, his crew was professional. Each guy had their tasks and they were on point with completing each task. Answered any questions I had respectability and cleaned up after themselves. Finally, the unit I chose was considered the most efficient based off other company quotes and Andy was able to do the same job and saved me $2754 vs his competition. (He is not aware of this, lol). I am not affiliated with Killman Heating and Air nor have I received anything for proving a review for them. Just simply posting to let others know of the exceptional experience I had with them. And it cost nothing to have Andy come out and give me his recommendations. If Killman crew sees this post, I would like to thank you again for doing a great job!

From the time that we had a service call to where we determined that we needed to go ahead and move to the installation of a new HVAC system things were handled in a very professional manner. We have used Killman since we moved to the area several years ago. We have had some bad luck with one of our AC units (not their fault at all), and we have had to call them for both service and maintenance throughout the years. They have always been honest, fair, courteous, and knowledgeable. We have even had to call them after hours on a Friday and they did their best to help us walk through the problem. The team answering the phones is kind and accommodating, and Adam is always pleasant and professional. We are loyal Killman customers!

Cannot recommend Killman Heating and Air more! We had black mold growing inside of our 22 year old units. We did not know we had that problem. All we knew was that our home was stuffy. Andy came out quickly and assessed our units. We decided to replaced both of them. Andy and his team were able to come out the very next morning and replace everything. We can now breath so much better and it feels great to be home thanks to the wonderful job of Killman Heating and Air!

This company is, by far, the best HVAC company I have worked with ever. I have used Loves, Cassel and many others across Columbia and Lexington and this one was the best. The initial meeting was timely and the installation was seamless and professional. The price was FAR below other companies that marked things up outrageously. Killman Heating and air gave me a quote over the phone as well as explained the pros of buying a Trane system. The owner took his time to explain things and answered my questions honestly. The best part was that he had it installed the next day! It was closed to 100 degrees and unlike any of the other companies, they cared about the fact we had no working a/c. No other company in town was willingly to work us in to get a unit installed sooner rather than later. His crew arrived 10 mins early, and was ready to work. They were professional and friendly. We are beyond pleased at the excellent customer service and the fact that they understood the sense of urgency of not wanting to be in a home without a/c when it’s 98 degrees out! I would strongly urge anyone to make them your first phone call!

After 6 months of over 12 companies giving me estimates and advice on what unit to get I decided on Killman. Adam was very knowledgeable and professional and I feel he was doing what was in my best interest. Everything he told happened just like he told me, I had concerns on certain things but Adam was correct on all things. The 2 men who installed the unit were prompt and did a great job, leaving no mess. The price was very reasonable. In this day and age it’s hard to trust people, Killman can be trusted. My HVAC unit was struck by lightning on Thursday evening. Later that night I left a message on Killman’s website that I needed someone to come out to assess the situation. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call back from their office before 8:30 am on Friday. I know they were quite busy due to the extreme heat we were having but Andy Killman came out on Friday afternoon. He determined that my unit, which was an older one, was damaged beyond repair and provided a quote on a new energy efficient Trane. The new unit was installed on Wednesday. Killman’s technicians, who were very polite and professional, showed up on time and finished the install in around 4 hours. I received excellent customer service from each and every person I dealt with in this organization. I am happy with my new Trane system and feel pretty sure it will save on future energy costs. I highly recommend Killman’s for any HVAC needs.

I was impressed with the care and time the crew took to install two new 14 x 20 returns in my ceiling. They also put down painters drop cloths to protect my carpets. We had 2 units installed to replace our aging units. I found Killman’s price to be the lowest between the 5 quotes I requested from various vendors. They were able to do the job in one day as promised. They also accommodated my request to install wood in my attic to secure the new 14 x 20 returns.

Our 10+ year old heating unit went out Wednesday morning; I called Killman Heating & Air mid-morning to see when they could come diagnose the problem. From the first phone call, everyone I spoke with was professional, courteous and friendly. They were concerned about the coming inclement weather and my family possibly being without heat. Adam showed up on time to figure out what was wrong and within 15-20 minutes he’d found the issue. Unfortunately, not something that was an easy or inexpensive fix. After discussing the options, we decided a new unit made the most sense. Adam gave me a price for the unit and installation, explained Killman’s financing options and told me they should be able to do the install on Friday, before the bad weather got here. It took maybe 5 minutes to fill out the finance application online and Adam was able to call and arrange shipping of the new unit from the warehouse within an hour. I was told that the install was scheduled for Friday, but in the event the unit arrived by lunchtime Thursday, they might be able to do the install Thursday afternoon. I definitely wasn’t counting on that happening, so I was pleasantly surprised when a whole team of workers pulled up Thursday a little after 1:00pm. They got to work quickly, were careful not to drive over the septic tank and I couldn’t tell they’d been in the backyard when they were done. The heat came on and warmed the house up, much quieter than the old unit. I had called Killman’s several months ago to fix a gas leak in the line going to the HVAC unit and because I was pleased with their response time and the quality of the repair, called them again. I’m very happy I did and have no doubt I will continue to use this wonderful business in the future. I have no qualms or reservations about highly recommending Killman’s Heating & Air.

Wow! The team at Killman is fantastic! They installed a new AC unit at the start of the summer. We’ve had a couple issue with the heat pump draining since we got the new unit. We had our main AC unit go out over Memorial Day weekend of all times, after keeping it limping along for several years. I heard about Killman’sfrom friends at church so I called them for the first time. The owner, Andy Killman, called me back that night and actually came out on Sunday! He was hoping he could get it going for us right away. What a wonderful man - kind, caring - He was actually concerned with our comfort! Unfortunately it was shot, which wasn’t a surprise. He immediately got in touch with his distributors to find a unit and 1 day later it was installed, despite this being their busiest season. This company installed the original unit 5 years ago and provided excellent service. Although we are extremely disappointed the compressor shorted out barely 2 months out of warranty, they were able to get the part, and install it in 2 days, when another company put us at 8-10 calendar days in 100• heat index. Amanda continually called to update us on the status, good or bad, so we weren’t just wondering, which was much appreciated. We haven’t even heard back from the other company since last week that still has our part “on order.”

It is so refreshing to deal with a family company that cares. I am so grateful, to find an honest company, that offers quality service at affordable prices. The only negative, is the Dominion rebate. I paid cash for my unit, so getting back the $500 is needed. Dominion lost all of my paperwork, and I have to replace it. That means going back through Killman to get them to do their part. I feel that since my job is done and over, that it is not a priority to deal with me. I called the company & sent 2 text messages. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get this rebate. This part of the process has been stressful.

Andy was courteous, professional and answered all our questions and concerns. On installation day the team arrived promptly, and installed both systems in one day. Amanda Killman, (this is a family-owned and operated business) handled all the paperwork for us regarding the registration of the warranties and filled out the forms for the rebates from the energy company. She provided us with copies of the paperwork. They made the process simple for us, which was much appreciated. Highly recommend Killman’s Heating & Air. Just had an issue with my air handler blower motor - programming issue with the electronics on motor still under warranty.. Adam showed up between the time given and was professional as he always is when conducting my annual inspection & cleaning. This time our Trane went down on a hot summer day. Ugh. Adam showed up and within 30 minutes had the unit up and running. He suggested keeping an ear out as the compressor started a bit rough. While they ran into unforeseen delays and snags, they kept at the job and knocked it out in a timely manner. As they were loading up their equipment, we noticed a totally separate and possibly minor issue - a vent that we didn't need and might have been contributing to our heat problem.
