Casey was very professional and courteous. Last time was here for AC repair, got us up and running in 20 minutes. That was very appreciated since it was 98 degrees that day. He came today to check that the heat is working properly with the change in weather. He checked both heat and air for us today.

So far, so good…. They came out earlier than expected. Rusty seemed to know what he was doing. The were supply chain issues with the part so we will see how quickly and inexpensively the repairs go. I had to pay up front for the part which was under warranty, more to come.

Chris is very knowledgeable, courteous and did a great job. He explained all repairs in detail, including photos. However, management wouldn't take responsibility for an inaccurate inspection report in June that said the heating system was working properly. The system had not been turned on since the inspection and needed a new gas valve. The housing on the gas valve wS cracked and falling off. Since the previous owner didn't want to invest in any repairs, it was reported as functioning.

Every single employee from Kaminer was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. They literally saved us! We inherited a home and unfortunately many of the appliances were not kept up with in years past. One of those things was our A/C, and right as the hot weather hit this year, our A/C started acting strange and we found out the previous installation was completely improper and now on the brink of collapse. Subcontractors were used by the previous owner and we were unable to track down the folks who installed the unit for warranty purposes. Short story long, Kaminer heating and cooling came out, diagnosed the problems, explained everything in a way that made perfect sense, and within 2 weeks we are now up and running with a brand new A/C and completely repaired duct work from the former company’s mistakes. Just in time for the rest of this SC summer. They stand behind their work and the warranty options on parts and labor plus yearly maintenance are affordable and so worth it. We are extremely grateful to this company and I can’t stress enough how kind, patient, and helpful everyone was. From the receptionist to the owner to the work crew, we were treated with nothing but patience and respect. Thank you!!!

Yet, I am concerned about the quality of the Goodman Heat Pump that I purchased 4.5 years ago. The Goodman compressor failed. My prior unit provided service for more that 15 years with normal maintenance required.

This company is outstanding from beginning to end. Our main zone heater/air broke on Jan 21st at the beginning of the very cold weekend in Columbia this year. Another company we had worked with for years let us down majorly and Jim from Kaminer came out on a Saturday to assess the problem, brought us a wonderful room heater that worked very well, came back on Sunday to go over our options, repairs vs replacement. We went for a replacement. Eric and his assistance installed the new furnace and ac/heating unit over a day and half. It is so nice to find honest, hard working companies selling great products at fair prices and not trying to oversell or only provide great service until the check is in the bank. We had Kaminer come out for a second opinion today. My dad met the tech, Jake, and was very impressed with him. (Edit: I got a text saying Jake was coming out, but the ticket says Rusty, FYI). He quickly found the problem with my propane heater and gave a quote to fix it. The last company that came out said there was no way they would fix it, and that I would have to buy a new system. I didn't realize that my father had previously had a bad experience with this same company. For my dad to say he was very impressed with Jake (or Rusty) is a big deal, because he is very picky. I received my fourth estimate/opinion from Dennis at Kaminer to replace my old ductwork and troubleshoot a few issues/concerns we had. I was very impressed with his knowledge and expertise. He was on time, took his time and was very thorough. He showed compassion and understanding to our situation and did not try scare or pressure me into buying or installing unnecessary equipment/ new unit that works just fine. It was just dirty! A good unit cleaning with all new upgraded ducts to properly fit the unit we had already upgraded several years ago with a UV/ozonator to keep the air clean. He hit on point with everything I had read and researched over the past month of looking. The four prior reputable companies I had contacted, one changed their mind on charging me to come out because I stated repair/replace when explaining to them as I wasn’t sure what needed to be done. I would think not assuming you need all new rather than repairing if possible is common sense. Big price difference so why jump to conclusions when your not the expert. They missed the opportunity! Second company gave me a ridiculous estimate wanting to change everything out, including a perfectly good unit! Third company never sent a written estimate like he promised and fourth company quoted me an estimate over the phone without ever seeing my home. When I asked him at a later date to come out and look at everything he never responded. Dennis at Kaminer was on point professionally, they did not charge for the estimates. I felt the pricing was very fair considering everything needing to be done. Thus far you have my approval as a Veteran, Mother and survivor! I have many referrals for you! I will finish updating my review of the install experience next week. Can’t wait to get clean, fresh air back into my home! UPDATE: The installation went perfectly! These guys are the real deal! Yesterday my unit was not cooling the house. I called them at 2:30 and a technician was at my house before 5. He had it fixed by 5:30. I have come to expect promptness, efficiency, courtesy, and competency. I was not disappointed. Eric was able to come a little earlier than required by the original appointment time (after the dispatcher had called to ask whether this was okay) so that he could beat a predicted strong rainstorm. Timing was perfect. While the visit was just for scheduled maintenance, Eric discovered that a drip pan for one of our attic units lacked an overflow valve switch (or something like that), the absence of which could have allowed a damaging water leak. Easily the best HAC company I've ever dealt with. We had furnace problems and had another company come out and give us a diagnostic, for which they charged a fee, but gave us a quote for the work we'd need done, which included (for various reasons) a full A/C unit replacement. We balked at their price, and decided to shop around. Boy are we glad we did! Kaminer was one of the companies we shopped, and not only did their tech, Brian, quote us $400 less than the original price, but he was extraordinarily friendly, personable, and candid. He stayed much longer than we expected, checking every single facet of our system, which would normally indicate he was hunting things to tack on to the repair costs, but he didn't. He simply mentioned that our ducting and furnace were both in excellent shape, and that we didn't need anything more than what we were originally quoted done. He was very quick to show us all of his personal and Kaminer's business qualifications and certifications, as well as background checks on all their techs. The techs who did the install did so quickly, and were also generally friendly. They were very professional, and stayed well out of the way, even in a small house. The job took an hour more than they'd expected, and the head tech apologized profusely, even though I hadn't expected it to take as little time as it did! They were clean, personable, polite, and were eager to show off the exceptional job they did. The tech even showed me exactly what had been causing our problem in the first place (a completely clogged A/C coil due to poor filtration). Later, when Brian returned for a walkthrough to ensure the job had been done correctly (a service I didn't even know they provided), I gushed about the quality of the workmanship and mentioned that HAC filters seem to be very expensive where I had gotten them. He told me in no uncertain terms that I should not have to pay more than $20 a year for all the filters I'd need, and told me what to get and where. I then mentioned that the financing I'd signed up for with them through Wells Fargo (a terrible bank to work with, in my experience so far) had not been set up properly. He IMMEDIATELY got on his cell phone and spoke with Kaminer's financial person, who IMMEDIATELY put in the paperwork to get the problem fixed. Wow! Now, some weeks later, as Wells Fargo is continuing to give me the runaround and dragging their feet, I have since spoken with Christy, who assured me she would personally contact them today and get to the bottom of it before calling me back with the results. This is customer service like I have never experienced before. I wish they did more than just HAC, because I want to use them for everything! To seal the deal, after all was said and done, we received TWO separate thank you notes, one from our original tech, and one from the owner of the company. One even included a small gift card as an additional thank you! Are you kidding me? We'll be working with Kaminer for everything HAC as long as we can, and will absolutely be encouraging our friends to do the same.

He needed a part but due to new years the parts store was not open and we were looking at tuesday, the 3rd of Jan. before having heat. We were only out of the house 1 night with a friend instead of a possible 3. This was definitely quality service over and above what we expected. Have several ductless units on upper floor,few problems but they came right out.service has been great so far.technician and service mgr. arrived.thanks kaminer: Well it's been 3 years,3service mgrs.10-12 new employees,they want 170& for SERVICE,only the new guy each time with a different story.Last service was 170x5 units.the service man had cleaned plastic filter,which my wife does every week,then blew some air through indoor evaporator coils.i asked him to leave after paying the 850$,never checked outdoor unit.ive been asking to speak to the owner since installation never available in 3 years.soaked dry wall,new unfinished wood soaked and swollen.So the new service manager brings me a check for exactly half of my 525$ VIP plan.when I call about it he doesn't realize what the check was for half of membership,he reads me service charges and says that's half of service charges,I've retained a attorney for constant lack of service.the women in office run business while young heir lives at beach.This at one time were the best during 60s,70s,80s,only to have the spoon fed brats to run it in the ground.Shame on you TODD KAMINER.maybe you will show up in court.

Dennis was fast and found the problems with the system I new were there. Nice young man. The problem is I installed a new system at 1811 Berkshire Dr. The unit eas not secured properly to the house. The base did not sink. I pushed the unit back against the silicon and the metal lines up with the grove on the silicon. It is under warrantee and I want it fixed without any further excuses. Dennis called and was gave me the option of install a new system at my home and they would fix the Berkshire unit. Can't believe a company would offer that kind of alternative. Why would I have you install a unit when you don't stand behind your previous work. Fix the Berkshire unit and I would consider installing one at my home to my standards though. A court will support me against your company. I have a wife and numerous lawyer friends of hers who agree. I don't want to do that but now its pride. I can fix it in 20 min. Don't believe its my job to fix it.
