I've been meaning to write this review for the past 8 months, but now I can add some comments on how our new heat pumps have performed in all conditions. First though...James, and his crew member Trevor (Tyler?), installed three heat pumps at our home in November 2021 (to replace an old propane baseboard system and window A/C units) and it was a great experience from start to finish. James was responsive and communicated clearly. He worked with us to fit the job into a busy end-of-season schedule and had a reasonable quote that did not change through the process (except at our request). We had some related electrical work done separately and did most of the site prep, as planned. Once that was ready James and Trevor were efficient and had the units in before we knew it! I built some movable free-standing roof structures afterward to put around the units (needed in two places with house roof overhangs). Keeps the snow and rain mostly off them and shades the units as well. Pictures are mostly from February 2022. These particular heat pumps did a great job in the very cold January weather, pouring out heat even when it hit -10 and such repeatedly. Of course they have also been amazing on a muggy 90 degree summer day too. They are the most efficient option nearly all of the time. Certainly in spring and fall, but really any time temps are above single digits they are less expensive than propane. More efficient (and much quieter) than window A/C too. As expected our electric bill increased, particularly during the winter months, but the propane bill disappeared and we used maybe 35% less firewood. The propane and firewood savings have almost exactly offset the increased electrical over these past 8 months. In our case the overall heating/cooling costs are the same so far, but we have a better solution with a much lower carbon footprint. We think that is a win and strongly recommend Heat Pump Services LLC and these Mitsubishi pumps.

They installed one unit in June. They were so nice and organized. James has answered all my questions. They are here today, installing the second unit. You should use this company!

James and company installed a 3 head heat pump system for me this month. Their work quality was great, they were friendly and professional in their work quality, and the heat pumps work great. This will save my family a bundle instead of running my oil furnace. At present oil prices are north of $5.50/gallon so at this rate heat pump will pay for itself in 5-6 years!! I cant speak highly enough about these guys and their great work! Don't put in a heat pump without checking with them!!!!!

James and his team have been great dealing with over the last few months working through a heat pump design/install in my house. Going through the quoting process with a few companies it was clear that James was very knowledgable in how well a cold weather heat pump can work in VT and how to properly size it for best efficiency. The whole process was well communicated from planning to equipment options to install. Had some other questions on how to have it interact with my steam boiler during the extreme cold days and he was always quick to respond. Installing the heat pumps on the outside of your house means things like line sets and wiring covers are visible and James and his team did a great job making everything look clean and as short runs as possible with the right covers for painting in the future. Very happy with the units and the work and I always recommend James when people ask about heat pumps in the area!

James Zeno was referred to us after we had a horrible experience with a heat pump company. We had no idea why we had a series of problems lasting three consecutive years (the company blamed it on us and spiders laying eggs in the tubes for three years, which didn’t sound right to us). In addition, we were looking to do another heat pump installation. When James and his team showed up, they immediately addressed the situation as being installation negligence on that part of previous company. He also was able to install the new device in a tricky part of our home with no issues. He made it all very easy and professional. I cannot stress this enough- there is a difference between this company and companies that are incompetent. You will notice the difference almost immediately. Go with with these people- you won’t regret it, and your home will thank you for it. We had to repair our wall from the last company.

After experiencing the comfort and quietness of an AC heat pump for a number of years on our main floor (via a GMP installation program) it was time to do the upstairs (3 bedrooms). A trusted friend recommended James Zeno at Heat Pump Services LLC, and after the installation he's still my trusted friend!! James and Trevor installed a Fujitsu brand head unit in each bedroom tied to a single pump. Before, and during, the install James discussed with me any options there were regarding configurations and piping layouts providing me with choices affecting aesthetics. A nice consideration! You'll find both James and Trevor to be very knowledgeable and easy to work with. As a small company they're also able to be very cost competitive! If you're considering the purchase of a turnkey heat pump system, please at least give Heat Pump Services LLC an opportunity to let you know what they can do for you.

I've used Heat Pump Services for two different installs now and I can't recommend them highly enough. Call them up, send them an email, ask for a quote and guess what? You'll be shocked that you'll actually get a timely response and a quote much sooner than you would think. I wish most contractors and service companies were as responsive as these guys. The guys are very knowledgeable and easy to work with. When it came the install itself, they stuck to the schedule they promised (actually a little ahead of schedule) another quality often not seen with other contractors I've used in the area for similar jobs.
