I called Ultimate Heating & Air INC after a string of undesirable experiences with another company called Western , and the difference like was moving from dealing with an inexperienced apprentice to a journeymen in terms of quality of customer service, honesty, professionalism, work ethic, job performance and the finished result. This initial phone call was very courteous and professional for the appointment which was next day. I don't remember the lady's name who deserves credit for genuine character over the phone. I was beyond impressed with their sales estimator, Chris W. and how simple he made everything and how much time he spent answering all my questions. He was clearly in no rush to get things done for another appointment, and acted more like a trusted friend addressing all my concerns and questions. The install went just as well, three people showing up, Ernie, Joe, and Thomas. They performed as Chris predicted working very diligently throughout the install. I had my 21 year old furnace and evaporator coil replaced, refrigerant lives and some damaged ducting replaced. Very clean job, very professional, all important information communicated, all sealing work seamless. Nothing but a completely positive experience from start to finish. Very satisfied, highly recommend this company.

It’s 100+ degrees with no relief in site & our air conditioner goes out! We call multiple companies and received multiple quotes for replacement options. Chris Wilson with Ultimate Heating and Air was phenomenal! He was the only company to take measurements of our unit, go into the crawl space & verify with his team exactly what size unit we would need. He was very personable and extremely knowledgeable of the products, Bryant and Carrier, and took his time going over every aspect of a new install. Less than a week later we had a team here installing our new system and within half a day we were up and running! Everyone was very professional and kind and my husband and I would highly recommend Ultimate Heating and Air!

I called and set up an appointment for a quote to get our furnace replaced and add ac to our older home. The quote was fast and easy, the estimater was courteous. The work was done within one day when scheduled which was appreciated. The ac unit had issues but the worker came back and fixed the issue. Now everything works great. Very happy with our new system

After another company was called out for a filter change, and then told us the heating system was no longer working (after it had been that morning) and suggested changing a relay board for $1000, I called Ultimate Heating to look at the system. Brenda, the scheduler, was very understanding and sympathetic to my situation. Frank showed up the next day and inspected the system. He deduced that the thermostat was reset incorrectly by the prior technician and did not reflect the heat pump system. A $1000 new relay board would not have fixed anything. Frank was diligent and thoughtful, and his experience saved the day! I would highly recommend Ultimate Heating!

Frank did an efficient annual maintenance of my heating system. When he was done, he mentioned the option of a wifi thermostat and gave me information about it. He offered to install it now, or I could wait and decide if that's what I want. He was very patient with me. I contacted my sons for input. Frank was understanding of me needing more information. When I made the decision to have it installed, he quickly got the ecobee3 installed and he helped me download the app and gave me a quick lesson. I would happily have Frank return for heating and air-conditioning services.

These folks are professional, kind, and most importantly... smart. They're craftsmen in the truest sense who genuinely enjoy their job. They take pride without being prideful. They also really care about their customers, and understand that working on someone's home is unavoidably personal. They respect that. That's huge. And they get the job done right. A year back we bought a house with a rinky-dink HVAC system that somehow passed inspection, but we quickly learned over the winter it needed a major overhaul (a third party insulation expert straight up told us: "I can't fix this, you need to talk with an HVAC company"). Dale and his team came in, did an extraordinarily thorough assessment before their bid, and gave us multiple options. We ended up choosing them, and under no pressure at all decided on moving the furnace out of the attic (builder never should have put it there), sealing up majorly leaky ductwork, and relocating a new air handler to an unused linen closet so we wouldn't be bleeding heat up to the roof which had been causing all sorts of trouble. Sounds like major surgery, right? Yet they handled it all with flying colors, as minimal as possible mess, and even seemed to be enjoying the hard work of solving these problems. We were in a real bind. And they found a solution that was equal parts effective, efficient, and straight-up elegant. The geometry alone makes my mind melt (see pic of new system in old towel closet)... And it's quiet too. I don't write many reviews of businesses on google. Probably because I've been let down a lot, and there's enough negativity in the world already. I can also be long winded. And nobody would ever read this far. But I will 100% use Ultimate Heating and Air moving forward, and wholeheartedly recommend them. And if I ever need a kidney transplant, I can only hope the docs are cut from the same cloth as these folks.

Great customer service and very personable. It was my first day in a new home and experience bad condensation leaking around the furnace. Later to find out the drain hose was left off by the home inspector. I called ultimate because they had just serviced the unit a few months prior and they repaired the leak free of charge. My 18-year-old furnace was beginning to have some issues. I was torn between dumping money into it and hoping to make it a last another few years or getting a new one. We decided that we would go ahead pull the trigger on a new furnace. The person who originally took my call was pleasant and helpful. My appointment was the next day with Chris. He took his time, carefully reviewing my situation. He made me feel like he was looking out for my needs. When we finally made the decision to go with Ultimate, I contacted Chris. He was at the airport heading out for the holiday, but he still took the time to set aside the equipment and get me set up with an install appointment. When the day came the installers, Stetson and Thomas arrived on time and immediately went to work. They were meticulous and made sure they kept me informed of what was going on. They were very conscientious about their work both inside the house and in the garage. The install was very well done, and their cleanup was amazing. Chad did an awesome job. He went through the final steps with the installers and took plenty of time to go over the Ecobee and the furnace and made sure I totally understood the functionality. I know there were many others involved in making this happen seamlessly. Many thanks for a job well done! I cannot say enough good things about the Ultimate crew. Ultimate Heating and Air has shown what good service is all about!

We needed to replace our HVAC system after the extra hot 2021 summer. I received numerous bids and was impressed with Darin and his customer service when he stopped by to bid on our job. He sold me on his attention to detail, and explained different options that would give us comfort in our home for years to come. I decided to go this route as they also offered financing at zero interest for 60 months on a loan. During the install, Jeremy and his team were verify proficient on the install and answered all questions I had. Darin also did a follow up after the job was completed to check everything out to include the ducting under the house to make sure everything was good to go. I was recommended this company by two close friends, and I would also recommend them to others. This company is detail oriented and focus on customer needs, so you cannot go wrong with hiring them.

My experience with Ultimate heating and air was great. Chris showed up on time, discussed with me the different services he was going to perform that day and he knocked them diligently and quick. He also dialed in all my vents and thermostats so we received a balanced amount of air flow throughout the home. He was very professional and easy to chat with. First called them for AC maintenance. They were courteous and FAST. the service Tech explained what He was doing and showed me all the issues/problems with my 22 year old system. Scheduled for a bid on replacing the entire system. Darrin was very thorough on His initial inspection and explained what they would do and what exactly would be needed . Explained all options and did Not try to sell me more than what was needed. The install techs were on time, Neat ,and very professional. Had a New HVAC system, Furnace/AC, Duct work etc. installed in 4-5 hours. The new system works great, very quiet and already seeing cost savings on my utility bills.HIGHLY RECOMMEND. New HVAC system-In general they were great. Price wise they were on the high end of estimates that I got. But the finance plans were great with several options. I liked that they didn't try to up sell me on things I didn't need. They pointed out options on how to make things more efficient (in my 1920's home). Some of them they did without charge. I had several questions and they took the time to answer and explain things on a deep level. When they installed it was done very quickly and they did a great job of cleaning up after in the house! In regards to the duct cleaning I wish they would had explained what the process looked like (step by step). I left them to do everything and wish I hadn't. They forgot to cover two vents when they cleaned them out. One of them I caught before they started the process and the other one didn't and it was a mess. that they didn't see or clean up the mess.

I called Ultimate Heating base on reviews I read. They did not disappoint! Brenda was friendly and efficient when I called for am appointment and took time to explain all of their services. James texted before the appointment time to let me know he was on the way. He was very efficient, and respectful while he was here. He took time to explain what he did, offered some options for the future but at no time did I feel he was trying to "up sale". He even took time to answer additional questions. In March of 2020, Ultimate Heating and Air removed our old oil furnace and installed a gas furnace and air conditioner. At that time the workers were professional, efficient and cleaned up every time they were involved with the project. During the last week of January Ultimate contacted us about servicing our heating unit. Because we haven’t had any problems and the system was still new to us we were going to decline the service call. It was during the phone call we were convinced we should have our system serviced. An appointment was made for later in the week. Prior to arriving at our house, the technician called to let us know when we should plan on his arrival. He arrived when he said he would and went right to work inspecting our heating unit. He informed us of the adjustments he made, replaced the filter and was finished within a half hour. Not long after he left, we received an email from Ultimate containing the information about what was done by the technician during the service. There was no charge for the service. We have been very pleased with all of the work/service that Ultimate has provided us. We will definitely recommend them to anyone using a gas system or is considering having a gas system installed.

Guy showed up on time. He was nice and courteous. Looked at issue and did some basics for 5 ish minutes. He took off a panel to show how it's "not the heater". He noted that issue couldn't be from the AC as that system has been off for well over a month. Then said to call a plumber. Wasted 75 bucks on 10 minutes of "diagnosing". It was obvious as soon as tech showed up that he was the wrong guy for the job. He knew it. But he made a decent effort to try and look.

To Chris who provided my bid and was onsite the day the work was done, for the install by Joe and Ernie, and to Chad who oversaw the project, thank you! Our AC went out in the late morning and I contacted Ultimate to have someone come out to fix it. It was one of those 100+ days in July. Ron H, our technician, called us soon after calling the office to let us know when he could come out. He stayed in touch and by dinnertime he had replaced the capacitor and we were back in business. Ron was very professional and worked quickly despite his already long day. Ultimate has serviced our HVAC equipment for the last seven years. Ultimate did a good job in the install of my new heating and AC system. The installers recommended we use a 4" filter (likely because that is what would fit in our existing Honeywell electrostatic filter housing, saving them the time and cost of installing a new filter housing). As a part of the sales price, they included two 4" filters and a one year maintenance agreement. However, the maintenance agreement only specifies replacement of a 1" or 2" filter. I have had two maintenance visits and in both the service technician said he did not have a 4" filter available and did nothing to provide one, leaving me with the burden of purchasing one. I would have rated them much higher if they had made their maintenance agreement consistent with the installed equipment. October 18, 2020 - I want to update my previous report. I received a phone call from Chris, the salesperson I first worked with at Ultimate, and explained the issue to him. He was very responsive , promising to deliver a 4" filter to my house the next day. The filter was delivered as promised and I have now installed it. Chris also said he would work with the owner to craft a more long term solution to the maintenance agreement. Otherwise, everything Ultimate did was just as they said it would be and in one case even more and did it at a cost that was reasonable and competitive. I am extremely pleased with the work done and the products sold and highly recommend Ultimate for HVAC services. March 4, 2022 - Chris T came by to do maintenance on out heating system yesterday. He was extremely professional, friendly, and concerned for our satisfaction.

I struggle with online reviews (so take it with a grain of salt!), and I usually don’t leave “perfect” reviews (because, there’s *always* room to improve, right?) These guys nailed it, though. I can’t think of any way they *could* improve! We solicited four or five different bids to completely replace our heater, our AC, and our thermostats- a total upgrade. As was to be expected, there was a range of prices and personalities... and in every aspect they delivered. They were prompt to respond (from start to finish) to our outreach. They were transparent with their pricing and services. They helped us manage our expectations. They were quick to usher us through the whole process (from initial contact to “job well done”). They were courteous and respectful. And most important? My wife “felt good” about them and their work. Would recommend to anyone, and wouldn’t change a thing about our experience. They even processed a rebate for us- saving us just a little time and annoying headache trying to navigate that! It was those small details that really solidified it all for us. And... I waited to write this review to give their work time to implode or fail. We bought our new AC and heater back in August 2020! Five months later and we’re still tickled with Ultimate Heating & Air’s work!

Ultimate heating and air is open 24 hours a day and should be your first call. Professional service from start to finish. Brandon was our technician and he called right away to update us on his schedule and estimated arrival time. When he arrived, he was exceptionally professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the service he was there to do. Brandon ended up being at our house for over 8 hours cleaning our air ducts, repairing a rusted drain pan and conducting our annual HVAC maintenance. A few years ago Ultimate Heating & Air came to my rescue and installed a new a/c system after the original company botched the job (they tried to blame me for the system not working correctly and then after three return visits they realized there was an installation issue). The only reason I hadn't gone with Ultimate Heating & Air to start was because the other company could get the job done sooner...and in the end I should have just waited for Ultimate Heating & Air because when they came to install the a/c unit it was pretty much the same day that they had originally told me they could install the unit. They came to the rescue again a couple weeks ago - my water heater went out over the weekend and they were able to replace it on Monday! I was afraid with everything going on with the pandemic (knowing that appliances can be hard to get) that they wouldn't have or be able to get a water heater but they had them in stock! I appreciate that they were able to get me scheduled for that Monday afternoon so that I wouldn't have to go without hot water for any longer than necessary!

Everyone that we dealt with from office personnel to field service was very informative, thorough, and easy to work with. Very personable and helped us out very quickly. Air con went out on Thursday, called Ultimate and they had someone there within a half hour to check it out. I had multiple companies come out and quote me a new furnace and AC unit and Ultimate Heating and Air were the best for price and a quality product. The gentleman that came out and quoted a new unit did a full inspection, he went down in the crawl space and said I could be set up for dual zones. He also asked if my house had a flood as I had a couple ducts in my crawl space that were sagging. The installers Joe was fantastic as well. They had old units out and new units in and running before the end of day 1, second day they fixed my ducts and installed the flappers for dual zone as well as make all wires look great. Unit passed inspection and works flawless. Do not use anyone else as Ultimate Heating and Air is fantastic.

I got several bids to replace my 4 ton a/c unit. While there are many qualified companies in the Treasure Valley, there is only one Ultimate. Not only was the service outstanding, but the pricing was spot on and fair. That was the difference between Ultimate and the others - fair price and great service. On the day of the replacement, they discovered they missed putting a electronic board in their bid. Rather than make excuses and charge me extra, they said that was their fault and they covered the cost. Not too many companies these days stand behind their bids and their work. Ultimate does. The last thing you want to happen is to have your heater not work when the winter is knocking. Scheduling was quick and painless. Chris came out when he was supposed to and was good about communicating his arrival time. Chris checked all components and found the issue. He was back with the OEM control board and my heater was running within the hour. The price for parts and services was fair as I had done my research. He gave me advise on what I could do to better maintain my A/C system (saved me a major headache come summer), what I should keep and eye on with my Furnace (saved me money down the road) and also a couple of pointers on Fly Fishing. Chris is a great guy and we definitely felt comfortable doing business with him. I cannot say the same for the gentleman with another company who came out yesterday. What a nightmare, I will avoid any more thought to that experience. If you are reading this, save yourself the headache and go ahead and call Chris and the good folks at Ultimate Heating and Air 321-8663. I highly recommend it. Furnace stopped working, again. I called Ultimate Heating and Air. They are located in Kuna, and I wanted to keep the work local. The technician arrived and got the system working. However, my equipment is over 23 years old and on it's last leg. It was struggling along to keep the home at 65 degrees when it did work. The Tech reviewed with me all the issues the system was having. The amount of Carbon Monoxide being emitted into the home was higher than I expected. It had approached dangerous levels. I asked the HVAC Specialist drop by that evening to review all equipment replacement and payment options. I appreciated the knowledge Chris W. shared. Unlike many times in the past with in-home sales people, Chris placed ZERO pressure to purchase NOW. He offered a wealth of information so I could make an informed decision. After careful consideration I ended up pulling trigger on a new Bryant HVAC Retro-fit System. Because of the dangerous levels of Carbon Monoxide being emitted, the system install was scheduled with priority in mind. (December 24th) Chris never discussed the need for Hot Water Heater Replacement but he planted the seed by pointing out that it too was original equipment placed in the home 23 years ago. At the last minute I called Chris and asked him to install a new gas hot water heater as well. Just get it all taken care of at the same time. The installers and job foreman were very professional and took time to explain my new system in detail. Unfortunately, I received a "Monday" Hot Water Heater. By 07:00am Christmas Morning it was leaking, badly. I called Ultimate Heating and Air. The tech was at my house by 10:30am to take a look and fix the problem. Then at 8:00pm Christmas Night I called again to advise the problem was not fixed. December 26 @ 07:00 Ultimate Heating and Air was at my home with a new hot water to replace the factory defective unit. Project was completed by 11:00am. Through the entire process, everyone involved in this event could not have been more professional, attentive, and understanding. Problems happen with new equipment, how my problem was handled is a true reflection of Ultimate Heating and Air's commitment to their valued customers. I'm confident if any new issue arise, I fully expect to be treated with the same respect and dignity as if I was a first time customer. Thank you again to all those people I came in contact with during the last week. Recently had some trouble with our 15 yo HVAC system on a 107° day. Even though they were swamped, Ultimate was able to squeeze us into Donovan's schedule and he was at our home within 30 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the issue and, not having the parts to completely fix it, jerryrigged a solution that kept us cool. Paul then coordinated with us the next week with the options for repair or replacement without undue pressure to upsell and got us a great deal on a new system. They were able to get us on the schedule within 2 business days and complete the entire system replacement, inspection, and Chad showed us how to use it. Very pleased. Only reason I bumped their review down a little is because since the install, I keep finding screws EVERYWHERE, including in the garage where we park our cars.

I'm a new homeowner with a new construction house that I just moved in weeks ago. I installed a ecobee thermostat then later noticed that the ecobee keeps on restarting. I called a Ultimate tech to come in and looked at what the problem was. The tech verified that the wiring installation on the ecobee are ok. He then discovered that the furnace is overheating because some of the dampers are close or partially open enough to cause overheating on the furnace to cut off power to the ecobee since the ecobee is power dependent from the furnace therefore making the thermostat reboot every other 10 to 15 mins. Now my thought is that if I haven't installed the ecobee then the overheating was never to be discovered until furnace stops working. That could've caused a bigger problem or shortened the lifespan of my furnace. There was no way for me to tell if the furnace was overheating or not because it was still producing heat and furnace is installed at the attic and also the old thermostat was battery operated so It wasn't losing power. So I got charged with a diagnostic fee of 99 $ for an issue that could've been prevented by quality check or whatever . I did not argue for the fee because I was so thankful that the issue was fixed and prevented a potential bigger problem and the tech seems to be a very nice guy. So, I am just writing an honest review.

My only issue was we had the exact same problem within 2 months and I just don't think we should have been charged the second time I thought it should be under warranty. They didn't charge us for the part but we had to pay the service call and labor. I don't think it was taken care of properly the first time. I think the second technician has fixed the problem so that it shouldn't happen again. Just my opinion and I did not dispute the charge with them but I felt like we were over-charged.

My reason for wanting to replace the thermostats was to get the ability to better control of temperatures in the rooms we were actually using by using wireless remote sensors. I called Ultimate (who I had used for years), and Chris came and showed me some stats by Eccobee with remote sensors. I liked them, but didn't have him install them right away because I wanted to do more research on my own. I later saw some at Costco and purchased two (for upstairs and downstairs), assuming I could install them myself. After all, how hard could it be to reconnect a few wires? Answer: more difficult than I thought. During the process of removing the downstairs thermostat, I broke a wire. Fortunately I still had upstairs heat. I called Ultimate after hours to discuss my problem. It was not a true emergency, since we had upstairs heat as well as a downstairs fireplace. But Chris came the next day. I've regularly used Ultimate for semi-annual HVAC maintenance for years, and Chris has been my service tech for the last few years. I have enjoyed working with Chris, and I have developed a lot of confidence, both in his expertise and his work ethic. He was able to get my new stats up and running quickly. He walked me through all the setup including connection to my wifi network. He's a very competent person and takes his job seriously, as well as carefully listens to customer needs.

I want to give them a good review, but they left a bit of a bitter taste in my mind. The dispatcher was nice and the service was timely, but the technician was a little condescending even though he had to call for help to figure out the problem, and they charged us about a 150% mark-up on the part they replaced. I am a contractor myself and the cost they charged for the service call is more than my conscience would have allowed me to charge a customer.

We've just sold our house and the buyer scheduled their inspection. The inspector indicated that some of the vents had little to no airflow. I called Ultimate Heating to come out and check it out. The tech came out and didn't find any issues and indicated they would need to come back the next day and an air-balance which would require two people. One person upstairs, and one person in the crawlspace adjusting. They showed up on time this morning and quickly determined that all vents are actually correct. They never had to go into the crawl space and were only here for just over an hour. Instead of paying $699 to perform an air-balance, I was charged $499. Our tech was friendly, knowledgeable and fast. My issue is what Ultimate, charging me $500 to tell me everything is fine, craziness.
