Mech Tech Services performed a much needed and overdue preventative maintenance on our existing HVAC system. The technician arrived on time with texts updating me on his location and ETA. He did some basic maintenance to ensure our system would continue to operate efficiently, but also found an installation issue that definitely would have caused issues in the future if it had not been detected. Nick showed up and went through several steps to isolate the issue. A few calls later and quick trip to parts house Nick had my AC back up and running by noon or shortly after. The team Jake and Angie have are absolutely the best in the business. I will give all my HVAC work to Mech Tech Services and highly recommend to anyone looking for a honest professional.

Mech Tech was the only company I found that services gas fireplaces. My gas fireplace quit lighting a few days before Christmas. The fireplace was going to be an important part of creating a holiday atmosphere for Christmas dinner. Scott Hale arrived the day after my call and quickly knew what the problem was. The fireplace is over 5 years old, and it's doubtful it had ever been cleaned and serviced by the previous homeowners. Scott gave it the cleaning and check up it needed after repairing the lighting problem. He is polite, efficient, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. Even though I made many phone calls searching for gas fireplace service before finding Mech Tech, it was worth the effort. I think I found the best!

The tech they sent to my home for a thermostat installation was early, professional, courteous, personable, clean and informative. He had no problem showing me how the new equipment worked, and wasn’t running for the door as soon as he finished the install (unlike so many other companies out there). I couldn’t have asked for more.

A gentlemen came out to install a new ecobee smart thermostat unit. Outside my WiFi AP causing a little issue with initially connecting it up to the internet to have access to some of the smart features everything else went quick and without issue. He even showed me a little how the unit works and what to do if I have any issues with the unit. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Our AC went down and Mech Tech was able to have someone out the next morning and a quote the same day. They were willing to work with us and our budget and gave us a good low cost alternative to replace just the compressor, as well as discuss the pros and cons of whole new unit vs just the compressor. We called 3 other companies - all were significantly more expensive for a full unit replacement and would not give us a price for just a compressor. Jake and Taylor were both very knowledgeable and professional.

Taylor Julio came to check our furnace that had developed a loud noise when it kicked on. He had to go to three places to get the part it needed. I was charged the same price quoted when I called plus for the part. He gave us the price he thought the part would be and said he would call if we wanted before purchasing it. He explained that they have a maintenance package I could check into by calling the office. I will be calling Mech Tech before anyone when I need assistance. Taylor was great to work with. Jake at Mech Tech was our third fireplace repair company to come out to look at our fireplace issues. The first two companies told us they couldn't get us the parts and said we had to demo our brick structure and replace the fireplace insert. Jake got us the parts and fixed the issue and added a blower and extra bells and whistles making our fireplace better than new at a fraction of the cost. Highest recommendation! Will definitely call Mech Tech again. Honest, reliable, trustworthy, reasonable.

All I can say is wow. Mech Tech was super responsive and professional. Their work was very clean as if they were working on their own house. Friendly fast service. I have used them for a mini split system and repairs on an existing furnace. I hope to not have to get work done in the future, but they will be my call if I do need. It's nice to see customer service isn't dead.

Had another company come in before him and quoted me over 2,500$ for a bunch of things I do not feel was needed, so a work friend referred me to Jake at Mech Tech and said he trusts him 100%.. so I brought him over. He got what I wanted done to my AC unit & furnace for less than 500$ and even waived the initial inspection fee. He’s good people, I do recommend calling him first and saving yourself some $ unlike me though lol.

I recommend Mech Tech to anyone who needs their heating or cooling systems repaired or replaced. My furnace broke down and I asked 4 different companies to come over and give me bids for repairs and installs. The 3 other companies didn't want to fix the furnace and instead created ridiculously high bids for installing new HVAC systems. Jake from Mech Tech said that he could repair my furnace. He quickly identified the problem with the furnace and was able to repair it. He also gave me a very reasonable quote for a new furnace system, so that I would have options. I will only ever use Mech Tech in the future for my HVAC system maintenance, repairs, or replacements!

Five Star Service Once Again! Fast response to our call for service, and Jake is right there, again, at the time he says he will be there! As the Administrator of the Idaho Guard & Reserve Family Support Fund which provides financial support when our service members have an urgent need they need assistance with, I was overwhelmingly grateful when Mech Tech Services stepped in during an emergency. The service member's furnace was out and while it was in the 50's during the day, nightime temps dipped to freezing. With children in the home, her space heaters were not cutting it and she needed help immediately! When the company that was originally hired to do the work didn't return calls to schedule the work after 3 days of calling them (and we agreed to pay the weekend rate!), I contacted Mech Tech Servivices and they went out within a couple hours and fixed the problem....FOR LESS THAN THE OTHER COMPANY. Mech Tech Services will ALWAYS be my go to company!!

It's amazing how he was able to reconfigure ductwork in a pre-existing home as well as found a way to install the larger sized outdoor unit. took and lot of skill and hard work to pull this off but we are so comfortable now!
