It's reassuring to have honest and trustworthy professionals to rely on when you need to replace your system. F&D techs are always professional, well-trained, polite, courteous, clean, and respectful of your home. Jay, Ed & Zack are always accessible to share their knowledgeable advice and personally address all questions and issues. It's time for regular maintenance and I will be calling Farnen & Dermer. They are always ready to work around my scheduling needs.

Farnen & Dermer installed a new furnace and A/C unit. They were the 3rd proposal we received and had the best warranty. We received the proposal on a Thursday and they installed everything the next day! As we are seniors, we were dreading installing a heat pump. My central A/C stopped working right when the heat wave in June began. Since my husband passed away several years ago, I find myself searching for reputable companies to take care of household repairs, some of which are big ticket items such as the replacement of my A/C system. Luckily for me, I received a post card from Farnen and Dermer, advertising their services. I had seen their trucks in my area recently, so I decided to give them a call. I am SO glad I did! I had planned on getting 3 estimates before I made my decision, but after one of the owners himself showed up at my house to give me the estimate, I immediately felt at ease. Not only was he courteous and professional, but he proudly represented his family owned business with passion. I am all about family owned, generational businesses. Needless to say, I never got a 2nd or 3rd estimate. I went with Farnen and Dermer. The estimate was VERY reasonable. The technicians were kind, worked diligently and treated my home with respect. They saw that my thermostat needed to be replaced and some venting components were rusted through so they replaced them also….at no additional charge!! And to top it off, two days after the job was finished, I received a handwritten thank you note along with several premium gifts imprinted with the company logo. They have earned my HVAC business for LIFE!!! 5 ++++ stars!!⭐️

HVAC was making noise and we were having the hottest days of the year I was concerned. I called Farnen & Dermer. Being in sales I knew that part deliveries were being delayed. I was informed every day that they were on top of the situation. Even though I knew it would be a few days or so I felt comfortable knowing they were working on it asap. From our first conversation to the follow up AFTER our new AC/Heating system was installed, EVERYONE was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. My dishwasher was not easy to install and these guys went to great lengths to make sure everything was in tip-top condition and working order before they left my house. We recently had a new heating system installed by Farnen & Dermer and we couldn't be happier! Our steam radiators were heating the house terribly, so we had them removed and replaced with vents and a forced air system. We had six (!!) companies come out to give us quotes, and we ultimately felt like we would be in good hands with Farnen & Dermer. They arrived on time every day, were extremely professional and courteous, and completed the work ahead of schedule. They also took the time to thoroughly clean up after themselves, which was much appreciated! I work from home, and they were also careful to not bother me if I was in a meeting, which I greatly appreciated. We would definitely reach out to Farnen & Dermer again if we ever needed work done. We had our HVAC and water heater units all replaced in the summer of 2021. It was a big job, but Farnen & Dermer completed it quickly, efficiently, and for a fair price. The workers were very knowledgable, and did a great job installing everything, including moving where the thermostat was located and rearranging some duct work. They are very responsive for scheduling routine maintenance appointments. We have used them for years, as they installed a new HVAC and water heater at a former residence as well.

Carmen & Dermer came to my rescue! Our AC unit stopped working on the hottest day of the year and they came out immediately to help assess the situation. Turns out it was clogged because the air filter had not been changed in over a year but they fixed it and got it all back in working order! Lightning strike on electrical connections to compressor unit took out compressor and thermostat. We called at 7am and Charlie arrived at 8 to diagnose the problem. We called Farnen & Dermer Inc. on Monday 7/11/2022 and we were scheduled for the next day on 7/12/2022 at 11:00am. Our Trane HVAC system was working but later had blown a fuse. Our HVAC system no longer was under warranty. Charlie was our Service Technician. He was On- Time, Courteous, and Professional. We were very pleased with his Service. His experience of (29yrs.) and the knowledge working in the HVAC Field was much appreciated. He took the time to evaluate our HVAC system and answered our questions. We knew that repair would be needed going into this job but was looking for experience, some integrity and a fair price, Not A Sales Pitch... If Not Needed on a New System... Compared with other Local companies, we decided to go with with Fern & Dermer. Based on the following assessment: Knowledge & Experience in the HVAC Field Quality of Service... Representation of their Customer Service Personnel and Especially the Work Ethics of the Service Field Technician they sent. We then decided to replace the components that were faulty and proceed with the Repairs. It was a very pleasant encounter, .... despite our Un-Timely Mechanical HVAC Failure.

Just had Farnen and Dermer out to fix my circulation fan,, Glenn found the issue quickly and replaced the fan motor capacitor!! Back in business once more!!! In less than an hour my AC unit was pumping out cool air!! Being new to the area I wanted to have my heating system checked prior to winter. I checked out several HVAC companies and settled on Farnen and Dermer due to their online reviews and they were the only ones to call me back after contacting them! Eric was here today and did a complete diagnostic/cleaning of my furnace. He explained everything and suggested several tips on how to improve its performance going forward! Very old gas furnace died on a night when the temperature dropped to about 12 degrees, and we woke up to a very cold house. Called three other companies and was told it would be about two weeks before they could install a new system. Ended up typing my information into the American Standard website, and got a text from F&D within 15 minutes saying they could install same day. Within a half hour, I sent them information about, and pictures of, our old system, and they sent me an estimate by email for a new installation, which I accepted electronically. Less than an hour later, James arrived and started taking out the old unit. A second tech arrived with the new unit, and they finished the installation in 4-5 hours. When I had a question about the BTU rating of the unit being installed, James had me contact Zach at their office, who answered my questions. When the old furnace died, it apparently took the thermostat with it, so they replaced that, as well. When the installation was done, James showed me the work, pointed out the new water and gas lines, and we were up and running. In short, the whole process was as painless as losing your heat mid-winter can be -- F&D responded extremely quickly, had the workers and equipment available same day, and the work was efficient and professional. When it's time to replace my AC (which they told me is likely soon), I'll definitely use them again.

Farnen & Dermer Inc. did a great job! My 15 year old heat pump froze over and due to the age and the loss of a defrost circuit board, I needed to replace both the inside and outside units. I obtained several proposals from various HVAC companies and chose Farnen & Dermer Inc. Ed Dermer came out to do the estimate and was very professional and informative. He took the time to explain the differences between various manufacturers products. He didn’t try to add any additional products unlike the other vendors. I received a quote within a half an hour of his visit, and it was a competitive price. I continued to shop around and used Ed as a resource for questions via email for which he responded in a timely manner. I finally decided to go with Farnen & Dermer proposed American Standard 16 SEER unit and the installation was scheduled later that week. They sent out two technicians, RJ & Caleb, to do the installation. Both were thorough and professional. They answered my questions and completed the job within about 6 hours. The only issue I had was getting online with the Wi-Fi enabled Honeywell T6 thermostat. Both technicians attempted to get the device to work with my phone but were unsuccessful. They offered for someone to come back in a few days to either get the device to work or replace it with a different model. A technician was scheduled to bring out the replacement thermostat. Shaun P. showed up and attempted to get the Honeywell device to work. After several attempts he replaced the Honeywell device with a Google Nest thermostat. I was completely satisfied with the service and the customer care I received and believe they live up to the five-star service they offer.

From the beginning, they were prompt in returning my call, very professional when they came out to give the estimate. Also sensitive to covid concerns. They were very patient and understanding about us needing time to make a decision and to get other quotes, no hard sell on their services but just staying in contact with us. I’ve used them in recent years for an all new HVAC system (and its twice yearly maintenance), and also a whole house humidifier, and an air scrubber. I’ve always been very pleased with their work. Our AC went out and we first called Horizon and had a horrible experience with the sales consultant that was in our home for two hours pitching us, gave us an outrageous quote, was flabbergasted when we wouldn’t sign at the table, and was downright rude. Farnen & Dermer - Professional HVAC Technicians with quality HVAC components at reasonable costs. gas furnace died (1987 vintage, may it rest in peace) on a Saturday November 20, 2021. Cold nights were forecasted for the following week. Called several HVAC emergency service companies no luck until called Farnen & Dermer – was I lucky! A Farnen & Dermer HVAC Tech would be there between 1 & 2 pm that day, they communicated by text & phone call. Unit was deemed not repairable by the Tech, Although when he tapped on gas valve furnace sparked to life. The Farnen & Dermer HVAC Tech gave me quote for new gas & AC unit – reasonable price and could be installed Monday/Tuesday. I asked about financing, they had it. The HVAC Tech gave good advice suggesting I go to their website to investigate. Sadly the furnace unsparked its life that evening. I spoke to several friends about quoted cost, one friend recently had that ‘home’ company that gets confused with that “gas” company install gas & AC unit and said the quoted cost was good deal. My dog was not keen on being a hand warmer that evening so I went to the Farnen & Dermer website was ok’d for the financing and accepted their quote. Got a text Sunday afternoon wanting to know if HVAC system could be installed that Monday – SURE CAN - I texted back. Reply was HVAC Technicians would be there Monday morning 8-9am. HVAC Technicians communicated by text & phone call – there at 8:15, completed around 3:05 pm. Again was very fortunate to have contacted Farnen & Dermer

Work was done very professionally. The people on the job acted in a very professional manner. This house can have no open flames due to oxygen use. They complied with a time frame to remove all oxygen before using torches. They were very caring letting know when we could resume oxygen use. The work area was policed very well, no debris was left for us to clean up. They even supplied runners on the steps and cardboard on the floor to hasten their clean up. The estimate, installation and follow up was more than expected. I would recommend Farnen & Dermer to anyone who needs their services. I decided to wait but he said that I should at least get a water sensor (about $10) and keep it next to the tank. Thank goodness I listened to him because I woke up one morning (in Fall 2019) to the sensor alarm ringing. My hot water heater had leaked and the water was spreading quickly across my basement floor. Approximately 2 weeks ago Farnen and Dermer put in a new dual system furnace and AC unit.
