Mikes Heating And Air conditioning repaired a mini split system that was that was incorrectly installed by another company. Their work was outstanding and their prices were fair. After the sale we had a couple of small issues and they were immediately dispatched within one day to address the issues and fix them correctly. They also installed a heat pump AC unit and the work was done well and quickly with a fair price. We highly recommend Mikes AC for all your AC heating and air-conditioning needs.

He was knowledgeable' ,clean cut professionally dressed and even carried his tools in a backpack! Efficient. One of my heat pumps installed in 2006 along with the gas furnace needed replacement due to age related problems. I asked their salesman Billy to inspect the house and make recommendations on a new system. Since cooling is rarely used because of our elevation and heating is our primary use of the system I asked him to quote equipment that will handle our heating needs without a gas furnace. He quoted a Trane system with a Heating Efficiency Rating (HSPF) of 11, one of the highest ratings currently available. Prior to the install start date Gary, the installation manager stopped by to review the work area and explain the installation process. The installation team arrived just after the new year and got busy. I was impressed by their professionalism, their abilities and how they kept the job site clean and organized. They worked well with the electrician Chris and his assistant Donny. The startup was handled by Josh who got the unit up and running. I could not be more satisfied with their performance and the performance of the system. Billy had quoted a thermostat that does more than turn the system on and off based on temperature. It manages the variable speed fans on the air handler and condensing unit for maximum performance and energy efficiency. It's loaded with features but simple to operate. The installation was a team effort and everyone did a great job.

Just thought I would update my review. Mike's has Always been very responsive to our calls and getting a tech out as soon as possible. They kept our old Heat & Air system cleaned, Repaired, and running. Now, Thru Mike's, we have a brand new HVAC system and service contract.

Good service that would be expected from most companies. They replaced our original unit completely except the ductwork and zone controllers. Work was excellent. Occasionally I had to call them to ask when we would be scheduled for semi-annual service.

Mike's Heating and Cooling did our original installation and then when the time came to finish our basement, we called on them again to add a second zone for heating and cooling that space. They are profesional, reliable and reasonable. When a glitch developed with the new zones outside air temerature sensor (required for the system to switch between Heatpump and gas furnace) they installed a wireless sensor and a new thermostat to link to it, all at no additional charge. We have no reason to look for anyone else to do this work for us.

Billy Fryar and his team were great. Mike's Heating and Cooling acted quickly when our 30 year old heat pump went out during a snow storm. They told us how much to fix it and how much for a new system, and we decided not to fix an old system. Had the entire project finished within a week of Billy figuring out what was needed. It is an older house and installation was tricky, but everyone, from the receptionist to the project manager to the technicians to the installers was helpful, competent, and FAST!

Mike's Heating and Cooling is my go to for repairs on my heat-pump. They're always prompt and respectful. Christian was very helpful when I had to replace my thermostat. He took time to explain why my old thermostat died, and explained the more involved programming steps on my replacement. Before coming to Mike's I had tried another locally owed company. It took over a week to get service. When the tech finally came, he was rude and condescending. In my opinion, Mike's is the best.

Mikes put in a new HVAC system for us about 10 years ago. They asked how long we planned on being in the house, our budget, how we used the system, etc. Came back with a bid with 2 different recommended systems. They installed it, no inconvenience for us. We got a one year service contract included and have continued that service ever since. They guarantee their work and when a problem popped up a bit later they repaired it under warranty. I am very pleased with Mikes.

Mike’s Heating and Cooling installed our HVAC system in 1998 and they have done six month maintenances for us each year since the install.. We upgraded our system in 2012 and they installed the new system as well. Their guys have helped us in the middle of the night with a work around over the phone and have driven up our snowy gravel road in the middle of a snow storm to keep us warm. I recommend them without reservation.

I knew I was going to need a new HVAC system by the winter of 2021 and began having estimates months prior. Overall I had 5 estimates. Only one was showing me a system and contract that was fair-priced, honest and came with the best salesperson ever. And that was Mike's Heating and Cooling, represented by Billy Fryar. Billy examined every inch of my house, took notes, put together a proposal that was easy to navigate, and left me time to process all the estimates. He responded openly and professionally to my questions and explained the answers in a language I could understand having never been through this process before. I feel today I made the right decision. My system is installed and working well. Everyone from Billy to the customer service people to the installers were exceptionally professional and nice. Josey and Hunter arrived on time and immediately explained to me the task at hand at hand. They were very professional, punctual, informative, detail oriented ,helpful and very knowledgeable. Josey and Hunter installed a Filter enclosure and installed an additional damper to help increase the flow of air throughout the home. They even brought two extra filters for the unit and explained the proper way to replace the filters. These two young men worked diligently to do the job correct and within a timely manner. We needed to replace our 15 year old heat pump that was on it's last legs and I got three quotes. Billy came out to give us a quote and he did wear a mask and shoe covers. He answered all of my questions. Mike's Heating and Cooling wasn't the most expensive or the cheapest. The things that stood out to me though were the installation of heat strips, the smart thermostat was included in the price, and Goodman offered the best warranty. The installation went smoothly and everything was cleaned up. Couldn't ask for anything else!

Mike's installed my Mitsubishi mini-split last fall. The price was very competitive and the installers did great work. This week my mini-split stopped working on.a rather cold night. I picked Mike's Heating based on the awesome Google reviews, and I'm so glad I did. The service on the phone was MUCH better than anywhere else I talked to. Professional, friendly, timely. In the middle of a cold week they were able to get to me two days faster than anyone else I called. Cody checked my whole system to make sure I didn't run into any additional problems, explained what my issue was and how he was going to fix it. He genuinely enjoyed his job, and was professional around my family while working. I had a complex home warranty for the work, and he took care of it with ease. After reading multiple reviews, I was nervous about getting emergency help due to lack of a service contract. I left a message after 5pm on a Friday evening on a holiday weekend, but the phone rang early Saturday morning. A very pleasant professional assured me I would get help today. We have used Mike's for several years. They always leave us feeling satisfied. In particular Dawn came recently and worked through avery difficult problem concerning a faulty circuit board. She communicated very effectively with us and kept us up to speed on where she was in what was to become quite an extensive detective job on an older furnace. In the end it was a faulty part that was under warranty and even though there were exacerbating circumstances, Mike's honored the warranty without question and made it right, ASAP. Mikes is great and Dawn is the best.

We highly recommend Mike's HVAC! We have an oil-fired boiler furnace with a problem that others could not solve, but Vince and his associate were able to fix it. They are well-trained, experienced and knowledgeable, very personable, efficient and neat and clean. Vince communicated the problem and solution very well and we felt comfortable with the work that was done. Vince could have had us change out a unit within our furnace, but instead told us that he would recommend waiting until summer when we did not need the furnace. We'll be calling Mike's HVAC when we need that work done. The price of the service was reasonable and we liked that the bill was handled and paid at the time of service. There were no surprises in the billing as we got previously from a competitor. We are very happy that we chose Mike's HVAC and we'll use them again in the future.

After a thorough review of our system by another company, I received an estimate from that company to replace two bad capacitors and a contactor in our heat pump. The total was over $700, so I declined the repair service. I looked up the pricing on the parts and bought two of them for less than $50. I then called Mike's Heating and Cooling and spoke with Josh who was very helpful. He gave me a price of $50 for the third part I needed and $85 to install all three. Less than 48 hours later, the technician DJ had them installed and our system is now working great. In the end I spent less than $200 for everything, which was significantly less expensive than going with the original quote I had received from a different company. $2,300 to temporarily move an air handler 3 ft over so the floor could be repaired proved that the estimator literally hated us and had nothing better to do than drive al the way out to out house in Waynesville and waste everybody's time. But I can't give them zero stars because at my previous house the air handler stopped working in the middle of the night during winter and they went out of their way to come and fix it within a few hours and they didn't even charge us anything because it ended up being the fault of their service guy who had recently been out. I have had both good and bad experiences with this company. They've been around for a long time are still in business. That's definitely not for no reason.

Sam, one of the technicians, is great and I am glad Mike's wife is continuing to run his business so well. Along those lines, I would like to make a point that they could use in their advertising. Mike's already demonstrated this principle in my experience with the technician. Every customer, and especially single (older) women need to be dignified with clear explanation, as much as possible, of what is happening mechanically. I've cedar shaked my house, repaired roofs, know proper run on gutters - etc. But I do not know everything. I try to educate myself. I watched a few Youtube videos on how heat pumps work so I at least had some ideas, but then I must rely on the technician to interprete. On an annual checkup ($20 more expensive) another company said I needed to replace a piston, which, if I now understand properly, the TXV system in my heat pump doesn't even use. That company was "going to replace the piston" but then I was told the part "was not available". The heat pump is 8 yrs old and there IS aftermarket. I now wonder if that company's technician later found out he didn't even know the system he was looking at, so of course there wasn't a part available that wasn't part of the system. Mike's advertising could state, "We'll explain how your particular system works and fix it if we have to". Kudos to Mike's and Sam
