I have used New Horizon for several years and have found them to be very prompt in responding to my calls for service, maintenance and replacement for my a/c and gas furnace units. I highly recommend them and will continue to use them. The service men are very professional and considerate when they are in your home and very helpful in explaining the repairs. They were awesome in changing out my a/c unit. They are pros at what they do. If you need to replace a unit they service, please give them a call. They are far less than their competitors.

We had to replace the HVAC unit in summer of 2021 all of the staff from office to field staff for Horizon are professional and genuinely concerned to make the process seamless. That level of service doesn't stop at the end of the sale and installation. We have a maintenance contract with them. I would recommend Horizon for installation and maintenance. Brian is the technician who seems to be assigned to our account. He is professional and answers all question and concerns which you may have. From the time I called to the time of service was just a few hours. They called ahead to give me the heads up they were on the way and then when they arrived were courteous and professional. I had no cooling and left an e-mail message for help at 3 am. I got a call at the start of business and they came out and diagnosed the problem by mid afternoon. A motor was out, took a few days for a replacement but it was installed the day it came into their office.

Marc was an awesome sales rep. He came down TWICE (my fault, not his) to give me an estimate and go over my options. He was patient, answered all my questions, and at the end of the day provided the best solution for my needs - new heat pump, furnace, and AC to replace a 23 year old system. While Horizon wasn't the lowest estimate, they also weren't the highest (by a lot). I'm super happy with the products, price, and warranties I was sold. Marc kept in touch via email, phone, and text, which I appreciate. The folks at the office who handled the scheduling were super friendly and nice. When it came time to do the install, his team worked quickly and were done in two days, as promised. The new system was so powerful, even my Airbnb guests remarked on the difference. I asked for some additional electrical work while they were here and Danny (who is also wonderful) tackled it quickly for a price that was super reasonable. If you're looking to get a new HVAC and don't want to call around and have ten different HVAC companies come out and provide an estimate like I did, just go with Horizon. No muss, no fuss, done & done. Thanks guys!!

I called on a Thursday morning. I didn't expect same day service. They told me Thursday or Friday. It was getting late on Thursday....after 5:30...I thought tomorrow. Then the texts & emails started popping up. Steven came and charged our old leaking system and verified where the leak is (inside coil). We know our system needs replacing, but we are staying cool for now. We plan on getting a quote from Horizon.

Our AC quit working on Monday. On Tuesday, Brint came out and determined the unit needed to be replaced. It was 24 years old. Tripp came out and quoted a new system, but said they were out 2-3 weeks. My wife has cancer and can't tolerate the heat very long, but we were going to be patient. Later after Tripp came out, he called back with great news. There had been a cancelation and they were able to install our new system on Friday. Paul and another guy (sorry, don't remember his name) came early on Friday and had us up and running right after lunch. From start to finish, the communication and process was flawless. Horizon was awesome and I will recommend them everywhere! Thank you for the great service and tell your team we greatly appreciate the professionalism, promptness and quality work.

Update: I came home to find my home hotter than outside. I called Horizon at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning to request service. I was told that they would try to make it same day, but could be Monday the earliest. About 3:30 ish. I received a call stating they we on their way. But 4:30 my A/C was functioning well (just before the downpour) I am going to inquire about the service plan for the future. I highly recommend this company!

Friendly, knowledgeable, capable. My brother resides at one of these residences; he is confined to a wheelchair. We have been using Horizon for several years now. I have no complaints. They’re prices are on par with other companies in the area. 9/10 times they arrive on time. If they are late they call you and don’t just leave you hanging. What I like best about Horizon is their level of professionalism, both office staff and their technicians. I can’t say enough good things about their techs. I’ve used other companies in the past and have found their staff to be unprofessionally dressed, non communicative, and a few that were downright creepy. Horizon staff are always a professionally dressed, friendly and good at communicating.

I put in an emergency service call to Horizon on the recommendation of our condo association management team. Horizon was able to get a technician out the same day (I don’t believe he was able to show up until ~5:pm which astonished me. He quickly diagnosed the problem (wrt no AC on a very hot day) and had all the necessary parts (on his truck) and knowledge to fix the system and get it back online. We had Horizon replace our HVAC system we had three companies bid the work all three companies were very professional and highly recommended but in the end we chose Horizon and we are so very happy that we did. I have worked in the construction and home repair business for the last 35 years and I don't believe I have ever dealt with such a professional and competent company. From the time Mike came to work up the estimate till Joe and Shawn completed the install. The estimate was complete and comprehensive when we needed to make special requests Mike made sure we were taken care of and kept in the loop with every step of the process then when Shawn and Joe came out they worked with such precision and skill each knew his job and got straight to work. When they saw that our existing equipment wasn't installed in the most efficient way they took it upon themselves to repair it so we would have the best job possible then when they were finished they cleaned up so well that you wouldn't have known they had been there the line sets and all penetrations were sealed and all the duct work neat and clean of course we passed inspection with no problem so I would like to thank Mike, Joe,Shawn,Dustan, Kevin,Karen and all the Horizon company for exceeding all of our expectations with such a professional crew and equipment without a doubt I would recommend them.

I’m very pleased with Horizon Heating & Air Conditioning. When I purchased my 25 year old home in 2017, I wanted to make sure the furnace and air conditioner were working efficiently. The Horizon workman did a thorough inspection and made a few needed improvements. He took the time to explain everything so that I could understand. I was so pleased that I signed up for a 3 year contract to have inspections twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. This keeps the furnace and air conditioner in good working order. The servicemen come within a week of our call. They are polite, knowledgeable, and excellent laborers. What I really appreciate is that they don’t try to sell me gadgets I don’t need or press me to buy new equipment when what I have still works fine. He’s extremely knowledgeable in advising us about our unit. Our first service he installed an air scrubber in our air system. He was careful to document the filter information for our records, anticipated our probable questions and answered them so that my mother and I could understand. When you purchase a maintenance contract with Horizon, you will receive an automated call reminding you it’s time to schedule your maintenance appointment. This is unlike another service we had for awhile where the customer had to track the maintenance schedule themselves. We highly recommend Horizon!! Thank you Horizon and Alec for helping us remain cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter!!

Latest update: 11/03/21 - Here go: So, after 15 years I started having major problems with my heat pumps and it was time for replacements. My electric bill was getting out of hand. I got estimates from Horizon and a couple other companies. The estimates were similar but Horizon had been my go-to company for heating and air maintenance for the last 10 years so I decided to go with them. Mark came out and did an excellent job explaining what I needed. He discussed several brands in different price ranges and the pros and cons of each. He also explained how the R-12 refrigerant in my existing units was no longer being manufactured and was being phased out. Best of all he let me know about the $300 tax credit and the $600 Duke Energy rebate I would be eligible for. I decided to have Horizon replace both units after reviewing all estimates. Joe and Alex were the installers and they did a great job with the installation. They kept me up-to-date with the installation, answered any questions, and kept to the timeline. I also received great phone support from Karen, Carol and Amanda during the replacement. A couple weeks after the installation Kevin came out and performed a quality assurance inspection where he tweaked the system and answered any questions I had. I have also had my first free bi-annual maintenance checkup and was very pleased with Justin the technician. Horizon also submitted my paperwork for the Duke Energy rebate and I received it about a month later. I highly recommend Horizon. Their prices are competitive and their service and personnel are excellent. End 11/03/21 review Okay, I could not start a new review so I will add to this one. Steve came out for my bi-yearly maintenance and did an excellent job. He was very professional and courteous. He did find a refrigerant leak in my system and Steve explained all of my options. He answered all my questions and told me what to expect from the system as the leak progressed. I have decided to get estimates to replace the unit (because that is what you should do) but with all the excellent past work I have received from Horizon I will more than likely have them replace the unit when needed. Last years review: I have been using Horizon Heating & Air Conditioning for the last 5 years or so to maintain my heating and cooling units that are around 11 years old. I have always been satisfied with their Service Technician’s knowledge and professionalism and the company’s fair pricing. The last technician to perform the bi-annual maintenance on my system was Steve Carpenter. Steve helped me understand the airflow needs of each unit and basically how the units work (in language I could understand). Every time a technician comes here, it is someone I've never seen before. This visit was the end of my three year contract and Robert Dean showed up. He was excellent. The only one in all this time that checked the air flow for carbon monoxide. The only one in all this time who checked to see why water was dripping from the furnace - which had been dripping for the last three years. He said that water dripping could be a sign of two things, one of which would be a cracked furnace. It wasn't that but he determined what it was and gave me an estimate for repair. I don't think my twice a year service was the best it could be until Robert Dean came. One other tech, Steve, who came over a year ago, also was proactive and found mold in the furnace. I wouldn't feel comfortable again unless our tech was Robert.

Horizon is a great company that we were blessed to find. We had another company come out for AC maintenance and was told our system was leaking freon and our outside unit was working at 50% capacity and that we needed both inside and outside replaced to the tune of $8,200 to $11,400 depending on what we bought. We were very preplexed cause our unit was working fine so we called Horizon Heating and Air Conditioning for a second opinion and glad we did. Horizon sent Anthony Tolzman out and he found NO evidence of any type of problem. Air conditioner working just fine. He replaced our air scrubber light which was burned out. Integrity - honesty is so important for any business. When Anthony left we were so relieved that we did not have a problem but so disappointed in the other company.
