About a year ago, I saw Dr. Sullivan for sudden redness and swelling in my lower legs, ankles and feet. He asked me right away if I'd recently had a medication change. When I responded affirmatively and told him it was a certain prescription pain medication, he immediately instructed me to contact the prescriber to request a substitute. Dr. Sullivan told me the swelling is a little known side effect that mainly affects descendants of Jewish people from a certain area in Eastern Europe, and it's very rare. He had me return in a week, the problem had resolved entirely. Not many other physicians would have been aware of the cause of the problem. I'm so glad Dr. Sullivan is one of my medical caregivers! I am a former broadcaster and marketing executive, and I'm not a fan of the new name of the practice, "1Foot 2Foot..." It sounds like a franchised or partnership business name some other doctor's spouse or child came up with, but it doesn't affect my care. It just sounds silly and insufficiently researched. Dr. Sullivan handles my diabetic foot care four times annually. He trims and shapes my toenails and does preventative maintenance on all surfaces of my feet. He and his staff are welcoming and extremely friendly and professional. I actually enjoy my visits!

Best care provided to me since I broke my ankle 2 yrs. ago. The staff was professional, courteous and polite. Right away Dr Sullivan identified the problem I was having, he even knew that I have more comfort wearing shoes with heels than flat slippers or shoes. I recently had my first appointment with Dr. Sullivan for a broken/dislocated toe, after first Googling Podiatrists in Virginia Beach. Based on very positive reviews, I scheduled my appointment. His staff was very responsive and courteous, and the office environment well managed and clean. After spending the initial few minutes with Dr. Sullivan, I quickly realized he is very experienced, caring, and thorough. Following my X-ray, he came back in and spent 15 additional minutes explaining my options, and reviewing with myself and my wife the best path to take. I felt very comfortable with all of the Staff, and especially Dr. Sullivan. I am opting for the surgery, and feel very confident it will be 100% successful. I highly recommend this practice. Good Doctor due to the fact he helped me initially. He quickly identified the problem and offered solutions and explanation. I was not impressed with my follow up visit though. I think the staff should be educated to not jump to a one way fix so fast. One of the nurses informed me I had to wear insoles for the rest of my life because I am now old and more prone to injuries (I am in early 30s and healthy). It may be so, but what about loosing excess weight, physical therapy, stretching, you name it. I wander what they tell people in their 50s? At the end of my visit, the Doctor kept talking about his personal life while moving my foot back and forth (foot was still was hurting) and NOT even looking at it. I did not like that and will probably not come back to this place. I paid for my visit thinking the follow up was a waste of my time.

I have recently visited Dr. Sullivan’s office for an ingrown toenail that has been troubling me for quite some time. Before visiting this office, I have received services from another podiatrist and the ingrown toenail continued to grow incorrectly. However, after my first visit my nail has grown properly. Dr. Sullivan was incredibly careful and kind and I appreciated the fact that the doctor treated my ingrown toenail on my initial visit and did not require me to come back for the procedure which saved me my copay and travel expenses. The office staff was exceedingly professional, kind, and informative.

I honstely didn't know where to begin looking for a specialist. like anyone else I went to google and saw the ratings, reviews, and the stars that all speak for themselves for Dr. Sullivan's office. It is a comforting and very well organized facility. His staff is down to earlth and very conforting in explaining the steps both pre and post check in and out. Dr. Sullivan did remove my in grown toenail and I was nervous but I did not feel a thing.
