I came here along side my little cousin who had to get admitted through the Emergency Room. Everybody from the front desk to the back; security, nurses, resident, attending, were beyond excellent and had the most amazing patient care. They checked on us every so often which was very sweet. The hospital is really clean, and the room we are in are clean and they are taking all the precautions. Thank you SCH !

I'm originally from Miami, so I don't think no health care or anything can outdo that. But Seattle Children's Hospital is an amazing hospital that I have been to, and it was honestly such a good experience. My son was admitted for surgery yesterday, and they have cared for him with so much love; I can't even explain how wonderful they have been. The nurses, doctors, and staff members have been amazing with my son. My family and I drove a little over an hour and a half, and it was worth it. The level of security and organization here is priceless. I met several nurses, but one that stood out the most was "Sammie" omg. I loved her; she was sweet and made me feel comfortable. She takes her job seriously and is very dedicated to the patients. I know there are many more nurses who were just like Sammie and were great, but there was one that blew me away. My son immediately connected with her, and the fact she stayed overtime is commendable. Thank you all so much for your hospitality, grace, and professionalism. I pray God continues blessing this institution and all the lovely people who work here. May God continue to bless you all.

My child had surgery 07/2022. The stress and worry was pretty intense for me. The Doctors, Nurses, and Staff are God sent and absolutely amazing. We were in excellent hands from beginning to end. My child will need continued services and I will not take her anywhere else. She loves going here. Thank you Seattle Children's Hospital for ALL of your loving support. ❤️

Thank you for such great care of my little Granddaughter. She was transferred to the Children's hospital and she made a complete turn around after be admitted and now is home with my Son's family. Now they are complete once again. Again thanks to all the staff for an excellent job!

The best hospital ever!!! This place is so advanced it's not even funny!!! Also, they treat my nephew like gold every time he's here. This is the only hospital I would recommend really. On top of that, they have the nicest nurses who really know their stuff. This place is the best!!!

We had an AWFUL experience at an urgent care. We then went to Seattle Children’s and had an amazing experience. There was a long wait, but they provided blankets and coloring pages for my sons. So attentive and welcoming. Once they saw my son, he was treated quickly and the ligaments in his arm were put back into place. We went in with him crying. He left with a popsicle and with no pain. Thank you all.

We had to travel feom Idaho to deliver our son at uw and then transported our son immediately after birth to childrens hospital and I have to say from the meetings prior to his birth to our current stay in the intensive nicu unit.. hands down an amazing job well done. The staff is so on top of every little detail, they communicate, bounce ideas off one another, are very caring and supportive of the parents/ family and make this whole process as smooth and stress free as a life saving situation can be. I hope no one ever has to come here but if you do, your little one and you will be taken care of. Thank you soooo much to all the nurses and doctors and everyone in between. I really hope childrens hospital starts to see all your worth and take better care of their staff! They 1000% deserve it

10 years I was diagnosed with GBM level 4, I had an egg size tumor in left frontal lobe. I was 18, in drill team, trying out for track, and was very active. It all started with the crossed eyes and waking up every morning, puking from being so dizzy from seeing two of everything. My dad took us to the optometrist and he said I had to go to ER, went there, got an MRI(after taking all my piercings) he said go to Seattle, so there we went. They took out the tumor, and started with pills I could not touch, those literally killed me. I don't know how many GCF shots I got, I got a ton, and they did not work. Then they put me on chemo, radiation, gamma knife. I was doing chemo intravenously in the arms, until got my port!❤️ Radiation smells like rotting pile of bleep. Gamma knife, I can't remember this part, chemo brain.

We’ve been here several times with our children. Our oldest daughter had an appendectomy here. Also, our youngest daughter was here for sixteen days after birth due to complications. The doctors and staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. The facilities are always clean and well kept. They have a pool and playground for families. I don’t love being here, but I love the way it’s run.

I'd like to separate my review into two parts. If you only care about doctors and medical service, just read part 1 and call it 5 stars. 1. Every doctor was understanding, great bedside manner, consoling and supportive. They knew what they were doing and helped us to understand. 2. The consistency in staff outside of doctors is very off. Came into ER with our child and had multiple people ask us if we needed food/drink/comfort and never returned with what was promised. Not once, several times. Room we waited in for 5 hours had 2 office chairs my wife was supposed to breastfeed in. No pillows available, just a thin blanket. Told us we would both be able to stay overnight with our child, at 7:30 pm. After leaving us alone until 12:30 am other than checking in and not delivering services, they told us only one of us could stay. Hotel unbookable at that hour. Once my wife was in the room, asked for pain medication for child 3 times before it was delivered. There was no discussion, they agree it was needed and just didn't bring it. These places make money hand over fist, or else I'm paying someone else a fortune. Invest a bit less in colorful, whimsical fox paintings on the walls and a bit more consistency in staffing and protocols please.

Cannot say enough how amazing this hospital and the staff is. My daughter is a patient here and every single time we are here we are treated with so much care and respect. So grateful for her neurology team. These employees are simply the best.

My 8-year-old daughter unfortunately had appendicitis on the day of boarding a cruise from Seattle to Alaska, and had to go through a surgery at the Seattle Children’s hospital. We were obviously so worried about her health, and disappointed at the same time that she couldn’t board the ship. However, an exceptional level of empathy, kindness and professionalism demonstrated by Dr J. Meehan and his medical team put my daughter and myself at ease throughout the surgery process. We felt so blessed to have him and his medical team treat and care for her. Everyone was so nice, friendly and professional, treating us like their own family members! Our family really appreciate Dr Meehan being such a caring, thoughtful and compassionate doctor during our time of need! Thank you Seattle Children’s Hospital for making this experience wonderful!

My child and I went on a Friday night. It took about 2 hours to be seen by the doctor. My child broke their arm. And another 1 hour for the x-ray and then the cast to be set. While it felt long at in the moment… and we weren’t a serious case, everyone was professional and helpful.

I can’t say enough about our experience at the children’s ER. Upon arrival my son and I were greeted by a nurse immediately while my husband checked in. Even though any ER visit is usually a long one, staff was so attentive and wasted no time helping our little guy. The surgeons and staff in the surgery recovery unit were equally amazing. Everyone was above and beyond compassionate, thorough and informative with us every step of the way for what was already a traumatic experience. If we ever have to take our son to the ER again, this will be the only place we go.

Today we went and saw Jacob Ross for PT and he was fantastic! The receptionist also remembered us from last time and provided coloring sheets for my daughter who had asked for pokemon ones a few months back. The fact that she remembered really touched us and to top it off Ross gave our kiddo a pokemon card pack after PT. Absolutely made her day and ours. Thank you all for being such great humans!

ENT and other specific specialists, along with the 90% of the nursing staff make it a potential great choice. The facilities are great in the sense they are clean, but logistically laid out poorly. If you're here for an extended period of time, it's not a good choice though. Don't expect to sleep and you'd probably have a better conversation with a wall than with the management here. Specifically, the Patient Family Relations Group are full of liars and pretend to be an advocate for you when you're trying to do everything possible for your child's health, but they are like an HR department for the company, they will say whatever sounds good at the time and when you feel like you can trust them, you end up feeling as though you've been deceived, lied to, and that no help is in the foreseeable future. The specialists are what you want for your children, but the management are all about the bottom line and they have no real interest in the patients or their families. If I hadn't been here for months now, with a strong history of knowledge between the ENT team and my daughter, and if I had known more about this place (I just moved here less than a year ago), I would have very likely gone somewhere else. I could go on and on, but it really doesn't make a difference with them. They honestly don't care (they being management, not the actual specialists, which the ENT group is amazing). I have been calling around for pediatric ENT specialists, so if anyone knows of someone who is amazing, I'm praying for a better experience and to get out of here.

This is a great place. The doctors that I have encountered with are amazing. The stay was nice as well meeting the other doctors. The only thing I don't like is a shared room situation. I think it's odd but it's what has to happen. Clinic is great too.

My daughter was born with a disability. Needless to say we have spent A LOT of time here. With a very few exceptions (like one, and it’s been 18 years) every single doctors has been excellent!! Every single nurse and support staff are incredible!! It is a gem. Thank you for all you do for all children, and particularly for those children who need more and specialized care.

One of the best among hospital for kids in the US. Entire Staff including the Doctors, nurses and administrative staff are really courteous. They took care of my daughter who was having issues with developmental disabilities including several visits and emergency.i really want to thank them for all the help and support they gave us since last few months.The only problem is getting outpatient appointments which will run for months and depends totally on the speciality. I recommend Seattle Children's hospital for the parents who are looking for any type medical help including emergency, urgent care and well child check-up (this depends on the requirements though).

We come about every 3 week and we are so grateful to the amazing staff and medical professionals who care for our loved ones. Every time we've come has been a positive experience regardless of the scary situation that brings us here. I JUST saw an amazing interaction between a young patient and a medical team member that made me smile. The team member introduced herself to the young patient and wanted to explain the procedure so she would not be scared. She was so amazing and caring and kind and I'm so impressed with her demeanor. I wish I knew her name because she is most definitely an amazing person who cares deeply about her patients.

Our 6-month-old son recently had to have an emergency surgery here. I cannot stress how attentive, compassionate and understanding each person we worked with was towards us. Dr. Otjen and Dr. Perez, in Radiology, were wonderful. Dr. Rice-Townsend is an incredibly kind surgeon with great bedside manner. Dr. Meehan is wonderful to work with as well and is very attentive and has a great way of explaining things. I wish I could remember all the nurses as well. Each one we interacted with was great.

Children's HAS ONE OF THE BEST TEAM OF MEDICS, NURSES, TECHNICIANS, OT, PT, NUTRITIONIST, SOCIAL WORERS AND STAFF. Here they work on teams a holistic approach on Medical Services also Advanced Technology . Most Top INTERPRETERS from HCA-WA work here. While kids wait to see their Doctor they can enjoy reading time, coloring and games activities, music, play xbox one, Wii or watch TV ( kids movies and shows) . There is Holloween Party for in patients, Easter Celebrations, Christmas, Activities with Celebrities/Sports Personalities during the year. Most Floors has supervise play rooms (Clinic), CAFETERIA STARBUCKS, GIFT SHOP. The Hospital is Highly monitored with Camaras and Strict Security. PARKING IS FREE.

Without Dr. Park and Dr. Pinto and Dr. Waldhausen and the host of nurses and CNA's and staff, we'd be lost. I was skeptical of this entire industry before coming here. Dr. Boos was an answer to our prayers. Our 3 yr old sone developed a fungus on his head that was cut open (when it shouldn't have been) by a NP. We took him to our local derm (we are not from Seattle) and they did the best that they knew how- but unfortunately they didn't know how to help his head heal. It was very far for us to travel, but it was worth it. In 2 visits, with many phone calls & emails back and forth Dr. Boos was able to help heal our sons head. He knew things that our local derms (we saw 2) didn't know. His knowledge of medicines for children was amazing. Things that stick out to me about Dr. Boos; *He is honest *He listens to parents and the kids * He is not a "know it all" * I felt he truly cares about the well being of our son *He is willing to research for your child * He is kind.

I was nervous to bring my son here after reading some of the bad reviews but everyone was super nice, from the people checking us in and also the random nurses we saw in the hospital after we got lost they stopped to help us even though they were busy and Dr Deen and his staff are truly amazing they put us at ease and really made us feel comfortable also the ultrasound techs were great. I recommend bringing your children here although I hope you never need to.

Excellent hospital. I was pretty skeptical coming here at first, but the drives (4 hrs) and navigating into the parking area was not very hard. Easy access & totally worth the drive. The security staffs were excellent and very helpful with my questions and willing to help me navigate through this hospital. The administrations staffs were excellent and made scheduling very helpful. The doctors and staffs were very knowledgeable and helpful with my son. I love how whenever you enter this building, feels nice to be treated like a family instead of feeling out of place or not belonging to be here in the first place. This is the best hospital that I wouldn't take my son anywhere else. Very outstanding and professional care in this hospital and I highly recommend this place.

This place is AMAZING! All of the doctor were very nice & helpful. We had to stay for 3 days. Nice playroom for the kids. If they can't leave their room, you can bring borad games & other things back to their rooms. Whenever they had a group discussion, they would include me. Went to the emergency unit of Seattle Children's in Seattle. Since, it was pandemic time , there were clear instructions that only one parent should be allowed to go inside. They were very considerate to let both me and my wife accompany our daughter who was ill . We were let in with the condition that only one of us can accompany our kid to the laboratories. Starting from the office stuff, receptionist , nurses and doctors everybody was kind not only to the kid but to us too. The doctors were patient to hear us out , patiently explained each and every test and the course of the treatment. I am thoroughly impressed at the same time I regret that they cannot be my kid's primary care because they either work for specialized treatment or in emergency.

Nice place. Very nice doctors and nurses. They all treat you nice when you are their. I have gone here ever since I was a baby. The place is still the same but more updated and they are adding on. They have one new building and building another one. When you have to go to the doctor on your birthday they give you a little present for your birthday. The play room in the main building is amazing for kids of all ages. You can even go outside and play. They have a swimming pool too.

This place is amazing! Every nurse puts our child their first priority. They treat you like family. I must say there is a few characters that need to work on their people skills. Food at cafeteria is expensive but they do have fridge so you can store food so bring food from home. I felt so comfortable my son being here i went back home 3 hours away back to work with no worries.

Our son’s heart failure and transplant team has been nothing short of amazing and we are looking forward to the next 18+ years with them. Our nurses in the CICU and on the medical floor created the warmest and most empowering experience they could as we were inpatient for 6 months. COVID was a pain, but they worked with us as a family in many ways. The nurses and doctors would provide a consistent experience between dad and myself. Therapy would often come twice a day so they could work with the two of us while we were on rotation. With all of the challenges that were presented, we always felt reassured and hopeful. We’ve been readmitted a couple times since discharge and still love being with our friends at Seattle Childrens.

There have been 2 times that I've had to bring one of my kids into the ER and although it's a bit of a wait (as in most hospital ER's) to see the doctor and get tests or results; they've been very thorough. Outside the ER, their cardiologists are great, their nurses are amazing, their vascular anomalies team is super knowledgeable and patient with my questions, even their check-in staff are friendly. Amazing service here! They truly care about your child. They take their time and give them undivided attention. He even got juice, a snack, and a toy. Not to mention all the on demand movies that were available while in the ER room. Doesn't sound like much, but compared to other hospitals, this is definitely quality service.

Absolutely love this hospital. They really take atheists time to talk to my 10 year old and explain things to him instead of just talking over him to me. Which I appreciate. It's hard as a parent to watch your children frightened of medical procedures that they are required to have for their health and well being. The child life specialists are always available to help assuage fears and make children feel comfortable and in control of their health and environment.

We were on vacation from California when our 3 year old got really sick and was having trouble breathing. We brought her to their emergency room and I can honestly say that this is one of the best hospital experiences we've ever had. EVERY single doctor, nurse, and staff member was amazing. Bringing your child to the ER is never a good experience, but they really went above and beyond to help us and get her back to good health. Thanks Seattle Children's❤

Our toddler broke her arm and we were transported here from a smaller community After midnight 3/13 advised Childrens would be the best people to surgically repair her break. Every single person we encountered was amazing. They're kind, professional, prompt, and 100000% there to make the children they see as comfortable as possible while treating them like a normal little human being. They explained things to my child every step of the way and we're gracious and accommodating every time I had panic attacks or emotional breakdowns due to stress and lack of sleep. Hands down the best hospital experience I have encountered after years of ER visits and surgeries I went through as a child and young adult.

My son was born with Esophageal Atresia in Montana. He was medflighted to Seattle Childrens Hospital and had a 6 month stay. They are one of a select few hospitals that can work with patients like my son. Because of my son's specific and rare birth defect they had to do an experimental surgery which was tailored specifically to him. Seattle Childrens Hospital allowed my son a second chance at a normal life with a working esophagus I cannot recommend this Hospital enough. The staff, building, organization, etc... all of it is the highest quality. The people here are miracle workers. Rest assured your child is in the best of care here.

Words can not describe how much I love this hospital! Everyone who works here from check in to nurses to doctors are beyond amazing! A hospital is a scary place for kids but Seattle children’s makes it feel like a second home. The care is impeccable and they are straight up and treat my kids with the upmost care! The cafeteria is so good. The food is amazing and makes it seem more like a restaurant then gross hospital food. There is a Starbucks and the sitting area is huge with microwaves and an outdoor seating area. There is a sibling play room, video games for kids to play and all the decor is so fun and makes kids feel comfortable. Honestly best hospital I’ve been to!

I went there to pick up a kid to bring somewhere else and the staff was not only polite and willing but very helpful in giving me precise directions and help on how to get to the room. Facility was very clean; and very warm for adults and children. I hope no one has to bring their child here for being sick; but if your child does get sick; this is the perfect place to make sure your child gets well taken care of. Highly recommend.

Our 6 year old hit her eye at school and it was swollen shut. Urgent care sent us straight to Children's. She received excellent care from the moment we walked in, and every step along the way was explained to both her and me. It was such a positive experience that she wants to go back to the hospital. Simple things such as giving her a snack as she was being discharged made her day, much less all positive interactions with every adult she saw. Thank you!

Wish There was more stars to rate them. Best doctors ,nurses and staff EVER . they cared for my son as if it was there own. They make the parents feel welcomed and comfortable also. My son had difficulties breathing and was wheezing and they took great care of him and he sounds so much better. They really go above and beyond for these kids. My son was diagnosed with Leukemia back in June 2016. I wouldn't trust anywhere else besides Seattle Children's to care for my son. The nurses, doctors, and entire staff have been amazing and so caring. All surgeries, hospital stays, ER visits have been exceptional. Everytime we come in for a visit everyone treats us like family. My rating for them is beyond five stars.

Obviously, I hope you never have a need to go here. But, things happen. And if you need your child to be seen by the best, then come here. The doctors and nurses have passion and truly want to help. The staff stopped at nothing to get my daughter the care she needed, even though that meant the doctors and nurses had to learn about her condition and network with doctors and specialists around the world to find answers. My nephew has been going here since he was very young for bilateral cleft palate! He is 9 now and has been thru so much so far in his short little life! The staff is mostly very professional, but a few can be a bit gruff or rather blunt! They are all very well trained and work very well with families! Overall, I have no complaints and look forward to working with the staff at Seattle Children's Hospital!

I am a nurse and I've worked in 6 different hospitals. Our daughter was a patient at Seattle Children's Hospital in May of 2019. The quality of care, communication, and amount of consulting physicians/residents was outstanding. Our daughter was misdiagnosed at a local hospital and I took her here instead. Our daughter received prompt, exceptional, and correct care from the moment we arrived at the ED to the moment we walked out of the hospital.

Amazing hospital with amazing staff who care and do an excellent job. I originally had written a bad review because they would not let me see my brother when he was transferred here as I am his guardian and his parents would not answer the phone or show up to verify. I should’ve been angry with the parents and not the hospital as it’s just policy, but my special situation with the condition of my brother made for a ton of stress in a critical time. I’ve been here for a week and my brother is doing much better, I am so grateful for all of the staff here.

My son was referred to the Endocrinologist at Seattle Children’s, after battling his primary doctors for several months in what could be wrong with him. After meeting with the team here, the Doctor ordered one last test just in case - even after we provided answers that didn’t necessarily fit possibly needing that last blood test. I am forever grateful they did though! They discovered very high numbers in a Celiac Disease blood test and had us schedule an appt with the Gastroenterologist at Seattle Children’s who confirmed the diagnosis through an endoscopy. Wonderful Experience!! My son was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor in May. We were in the hospital for 7 days where we were treated by the most professional and kind staff that I have ever experienced. They were experts in their fields. My son's neurosurgeon even works with the Seahawks and has developed a smart football helmet to help reduce concussion damage.

Incredible inpatient care. My son was here for 5 months and everyone who worked there was knowledgeable and so helpful. I wouldn’t take my son anywhere else. Outpatient however is a nightmare. You’ll call and call and leave voicemails and nobody ever calls you back which is frustrating. You don’t get called for follow up appts half the time and have to reach out to them time and time again before you’re helped.

For the most part the staff are professional when you arent dealing with the surgical center. I have had my child here numerous times for the surgery center and that's where I draw the line. The surgery staff really dont take the parents or patient needs in for consideration, especially when your dealing with an outpatient schedule. More that 3 times we have arrived at 0600 for a 30 min procedure and have came home around 7pm, with a hungry child and necessity meds missed, all because of scheduling issues. They dont think about the meds that your child has to maintain to get better and they that when a child is not supposed to eat prior to the procedure, then the procedure gets pushed to a later time sometimes 3-5 hours. Several times my son has had this happen. Communications is not that great also. Especially when we are told that it will be a few minutes. Here a few minutes equals sometimes hours Unsatisfactory!

Doctors and stuff are friendly. Child's Life workers makes a big difference for child's experience in the hospital. The post surgery recovery department's walls, flors and baseboards looks dirty. One of the sink in the room is draining poorly. TV, drapes, and furniture (including patient bed) are very old. Hope, Seattle Children's will renovates it eventually. iPad in the room is greatly appreciated! Main concern, that some caregivers, who are entering patient's room, are not wearing face mask correctly: their noses and mouths are totally visible. Wish this policy was more strict. At least, for patients, who are taking chemotherapy and really cannot afford to be exposed to viruses, in the era, when Covid-19 is sweeping across the country.

I really appreciate that the staffs and doctors who knows what they are doing. Expect the dietician. I'm not sure if this person is still helping with my daughter's diet. But she has caused me to be unable to be with my daughter. She accused me as unfit mom so she told the child services that my daughter was losing weight. I have tried multiple times to call her but she never responded to my calls until after she noticed that my daughter was losing weight. I have done what a mother who was concerned about her daughter health and safety. But she was putting me in a situation where I was looked upon as a unfit mom. I hope that she is not working there any longer. She has no idea what I have been dealing with in the past several years. If any one know this type of person. I hope that they look into it and stop this from happening ever again to anyone else. If the President of this hospital wants to go more information please look into my information there in the record. I will not forget what I been through. Seattle Childrens is woderful!. My son is 15 months old now. He was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, craniosynostosis, and crouzon's syndrome at 6 months. At 9 months old he had his tonsils and adenoids removed to help his sleep apnea; We were at Seattle Childrens for 7 days and the nurses and all the doctors even the cleaning staff were wonderful. He has since had several appointments and two surgeries on his skull and both stays were as pleasant as they could be when your baby is having their skull operated on. We are so greatful for his team of doctors! (we can't thank you enough for everything you've done - Dr. Evans, Dr. Birgfeld, Dr. Perkins, Dr. Ojemann and anyone else I'm forgetting.) also all of the nurses. Oh and don't let me forget the Lab. I have to say that Hector is something special! My sone is a very hard stick and Hector has always done an amazing job. And thank you to the medical assistants and the schedulers they are the first and last ones we see every visit and they are always smiling and very kind. In conclusion we wouldn't want to be anywhere else, we are very thankful for Seattle Childrens Hospital.
