My wife was due June 2nd and we ended up going a week over. They scheduled her to be induced and this was the single most positive experience I've ever had in a hospital. I know that we came to deliver a bundle of joy but the staff is second to none. Every nurse was nurturing and caring and the doctors kept us informed. We all know the best decisions made are the informed decisions. In total this is where you want to have your baby. There is nothing that can happen that they aren't prepared for and I'm proud to have had my baby girl delivered at Mercy Gilbert. A1!

Everyone did a great job on helping me during my recent ER visit as well as my surgical visit a few weeks before. The kindness of the staff is greatly appreciated. They take the stress & anxiety out of the hospital visit. They have it running smoothly & cared for me promptly. Thank you to the staff. The anesthesiologist Dr Sweet Dreams is highly skilled. I’m so grateful to have this staff that makes this facility a wonderful place. Thank you!

Dr. Hirsch did an excellent job. He received two different compliments a few days later about his great stitching. I have healed very well.
The nurse could not get the IV needle in my left hand at first, so she tried another vein. Both times it hurt. Then as she walked around to my right hand, both thumbs caved in, and I knew that meant I was dehydrated. Then a few seconds later, all 8 fingers folded in.
Then suddenly both calves severely tightened, so I had 2 terrible charlie horses at the same time. Four nurses started massaging my calves and one of them called for the doctor. This was the worst pain I've ever had in my whole life and seemed to last 12-15 minutes. I've been severely dehydrated before, but I've never had both hands and calves react the way they did. One nurse asked me to point my left foot and I could not, as they were both stuck in a flexed position. I looked like a severely arthritic 95 year-old.
Dr Hirsch arrived and I asked him why this was happening, and to my surprise he said doctors do not know everything. I asked for something to get rid of the pain. He or one of the nurses said the only way to give me medicine was to get the IV in. I remember looking down on my right hand and just below my wrist was the IV. I realized I never felt it go in due to the extreme pain I had.
Something also troubling me and mostly, what I found unbelievable, was when one of the nurses asked me to sign paperwork. I strongly recall looking at her and my hands, saying how can you expect me to write anything at all with curled-up hands like this? That would be impossible. Some kind of medicine must have been administered, as thank heaven my hands and calves FINALLY relaxed. Later while at home, I recalled signing quite a bit of paperwork in the lobby, so why didn't they ask me to sign everything there?
Dr Hirsch asked if I was having a panic attack, and I said no. He also asked if I wanted to cancel surgery. After several seconds of thinking about it, I said no. I wanted the surgery. I had cataract surgeries in both eyes a month apart in 2018, and a lipoma removed from my right arm in 2019. I was not nervous.
I will also compliment the nurses as they were by my side through everything that happened to me. Once the pain was gone, I remember being wheeled down the hallway and just kept looking at the ceiling, and talking for a bit. Then we moved into some other room and I talked some more. And then before I knew it, I woke up and it was 10:30am.

I had the best experience giving birth here. I was so happy with the care my baby and I received here. Every staff member from the anesthesiologist all the way to the cleaning ladies were so kind and respectful. My nurses who helped me every step of the way showed genuine care and answered all of my questions. I’m so grateful for the amazing lactation consultants who because of them I have been able to be happy with my breastfeeding journey. If you are looking for a wonderful place to labor and give birth this hospital is the best of the best! ❤️

Recently had major surgery at Mercy Gilbert and everyone was amazing! Every single staff member I came in contact with was kind, professional and seemed to enjoy their work. The Hospital is beautiful, very clean and they had staff cleaning all the time. So impressed by the level of care I received here. They made my stay very comfortable. Thank you Mercy Gilbert!!!

I recently had my baby at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, and it was a very positive experience. The nurses here were all kind, professional, and helpful. They never rushed or pushed me into things I wasn't ready for. They always explained all of my options and answered all of my questions. I don't have a negative thing to say about any of the care we received here, both labor and delivery and postpartum. I had a positive birth experience, and the care I received was a huge part of that. I hope to have all of my future babies here!

The Doctors and Nurses at Mercy Gilbert were so sweet and helpful. I didn't have to worry about my dad while I was there. My 94 year old father gave them a serious workout. He's doing a lot better. We live in Texas. I'm glad that he got sick in Gilbert because I had help that I wouldn't have had here. The nurses took extra care of him and the doctors called me a couple if times a day with updates because I had to take another family member back to Texas and then fly back. Our world was flipped upside down and these Angels appeared to do everything in their power to take care if my pops and I am forever grateful . ❤️

Unfortunately we needed to visit the emergency room but fortunately we had a great experience! We didn’t wait too long and everyone we encountered was friendly and kind. I felt they made good choices providing us with a thorough exam and evaluation. They explained what we should watch for in the upcoming weeks and sent us with important follow up direction to ensure safe healing. Thank you!!

I was amazed how quickly I was taken back to triage then given a room. My nurse was wonderful and very attentive. The doctor came in fast also and was so really lovely. She put orders in quickly so I could get relief from my pain. The X-ray tech was the sweetest . She was so good with me and my arm. We were in and out of ER in an hour and a half. That was with getting my arm splinted also. I was a nurse for 28 years in California and have never had such a great ER experience. We will be using Mercy for our hospital for sure. Also spreading the word. Thank you so much

I have had many positive experiences with this specific hospital over the years. This was my first visit as the patient. The amenities are superior at this location compared to other hospitals (both within & outside of Dignity’s networks), for both patients & guests. From the cafeteria to the in room ordering of food. As an experienced nurse who has not been employed by Dignity Health, I should note the superior care, professionalism & knowledgeable hospital staff; along with the evidence-based practice, as well as modern, high tech tools used to provide the best & safest practices & care are all standard at this hospital. It’s a pleasure to be treated at this hospital.
Ruby Chapman
My husband was in the hospital for 5 days. The entire staff was kind and caring.
My family is so thankful for the excellent care my husband received.
Even the cafeteria was so incredible. The prices were very modest and was able to eat without breaking the bank.
Ron Little
Busy, yet everyone from receptionist, Intake nurse, physician, nurses, imaging technicians, and phlebotomist, were friendly, efficient, capable and attentive. That kind of care doesn't happen throughout an entire team by accident. I had the same experience here, 3 1/2 years ago when my wife passed away from a sudden stroke. A special thanks to a compassionate nurse that night, Nicole Savage! Thank you Nicole!! ❤
If I have a need and a choice, I will never use an emergency hospital other than Mercy Gilbert!
😊👍

Hit or miss. And for everyone wanting to go to the ER to use as a pharmacy, don't. Some of us are actually sick and by entertaining yourself with the ER (especially one individual straight from work walking around like nothing was wrong, was asked where their pain level was and she laughs as she answered, "oh, I guess 10, haha," drive yourself to a real pharmacy and stop taking up a physician's time that is best served with someone who is actually sick. Kthx.
You are one type of problem that makes real patients get screwed and questioned and even accused of drug-seeking. By the time they make it to see me, he gave some Tylenol (when they offer me Tylenol pills, after I told them nothing at home was helping and I'm administering IV nutrition through a central line ... Insulting) pills when my charts have continually noted I take NO medication PO and limited medication if properly crushed through my medicine port in a tube coming out of my abdomen.
I never judge people using the ER as I hope they don't judge me (even though they do despite IV lines seen coming out my chest and multiple drains coming from tubes placed in my abdomen). But that situation really rubbed me wrong and she wasn't the only one. Another brought her friend in stating she had a heart rate of 200 and threw up "a good amount" on their way here. I've had those levels of heart rate... When I was crashing with sepsis... I can bet you, I wasn't sitting calmly in a wheelchair. Not to mention she called it wrong... B fib. *Gah*

We have only lived in AZ for 7 months. Once I had to go to Banner Ironwood ER and it was the worst experience in my life! In the waiting room I kept hearing everybody talk about how great Dignity Health Gilbert was! EVERYBODY! When I needed to be seen again in the ER I made my husband drive me to Dignity Health Mercy hospital because I refuse to go back to Banner Health even though it is a lot further for us. It was worth the drive! Very kind staff! A complete difference! I will drive further every time to come here! A great hospital!

Upon checking into the ER, I was quickly cared for and seen by Dr. Frank. Upon his review of my issue he quickly requested CT scan and blood work. ER Nurse Meredith cared for me and was extremely professional and personable. Even though there were others being treated, Meredith made me feel like I was the only patient. Job well done by all of the ER staff but big Shout Out to Dr. Frank and ER Nurse Meredith. Thank you for your care.
Gordon McChesney
The emergency room doctor that I saw had no bedside manner. She examined my eye and was unable to find what was eventually removed the following Monday by an ophthalmologist. The nurses on the other hand were awesome so was the admitting staff. I would have easily given a 5 star review had the ER doctor been nicer and more thorough. I’m only being honest about my experience. I know they care and there are plenty of great doctors at Gilbert Mercy,I just wish my visit went better.

Unbelievably fantastic experience here. Literally everyone that I spoke to or worked with was a pleasure. Everyone seemed to be genuinely concerned about my well being and had the knowledge and abilities to help. I hope to not need the use of a hospital too often but if I do this will be my first choice every time.
Andy Storms
The nurses were very nice cheerful and good care of me the facility was clean everyone in the area seem to be pleasant and happy to be at work. Other than being a little short-staffed like everyone else they did a fantastic job.

We came here on Christmas Day due to some concerns with my pregnancy (granted I know that’s not an enjoyable day to have to be at work which is why I didn’t say anything to this woman). We went to the emergency department first, as this is my first pregnancy and I didn’t know I was supposed to straight to Labor and Delivery instead of the ER given being 32 weeks along. When we came into the ER, it was not horribly busy. We walked up to the registration, saw the sign saying we needed to let the registration people know that I am pregnant, and I did that. I stated why I was there, what my symptoms were, and how far along I am. The woman working there at 5:00 PM 12/25/2022 was very short with me in her answers. We are not from AZ and was told to come to this hospital by some family members who are from AZ. We didn’t know how to get to L and D. This woman very curtly said “you need to be on the 3rd floor.” After explaining my situation. When I asked how to get there as we are not from AZ, she again, very curtly, said “you go through the main entrance. Go to the elevator. And go to the 3rd floor.” My husband and I both felt like this woman was annoyed to be having to answer my questions for directions on where we were supposed to go, but understand that not only was it Christmas, they were probably short staffed as most places are and that’s why this woman was having such a hard time being kind. So keeping our patience, we said “ok, thank you, we will head there now.” To which she responded (again very annoyed) “I have to make sure you get up there safely since you came here first.” And asked us to wait in some chairs in the waiting area. Upon waiting, my husband could hear this woman getting on the phone with L and D, asking if anyone else would be able to come walk us up because “she didn’t want to, nor did she have the time”. We were highly unimpressed by this experience in the ER, and quite frankly we weren’t excited about the rest of the experience we were about to have here. Luckily the saving grace for this place was the kind registration ladies in Labor and delivery as well as Nurse Maggie and the lovely phlebotomist who came in to take my blood for some labs. Overall, I would recommend the labor and delivery department of this hospital, but for an emergency I would suggest going literally anywhere else.

Staff was very helpful, kind, and efficient. They made sure I was in a room and comfortable ASAP. Doctors nurses all staff including a little gentleman that swept the floor in my room, where is kind and compassionate, as could be. if need be, I will definitely return to Mercy Gilbert Hospital if I need emergency room care. Thank each and everyone of you for all you do every day.❤️❤️❤️‼️‼️‼️

This hospital took great care of my father. The nurses and all the staff including physicians were fantastic. However, they are a representation of their service providers and Apria Healthcare is a terrible reflection of the otherwise fantastic service we were provided. I have worked both on the hospital and physician services side for 25+ years and would highly consider evaluating for a different partner than Apria for those critical outsourced services.
Dorothy Topness
Wonderful hospital. Caring and knowledgeable staff. Very clean. I can't tell you how impressed I was. The only negative was that the toilets are what I call "grade school" height. Need taller toilets. Thank you every one there.
Dave Parton
Just so you know I spent 30 days in Banner Gateway last year at this time. They were mixing up my medication, tried to give me Oncology medication out of the blue…they had me walking 4 to 5 times total. I even had a nurse tell me one time “you just peed 2 hours ago, you don’t need to go yet”. Mind you I am 65 with a prostate the size of a grapefruit…LOL. It was a zoo, my family was furious. Some of the nurses were fantastic…if I could remember their names I would tell you!! Could not be happier here.
Christopher Baldi
The staff and Dr. Kristin Hanson were excellent. They kept me comfortable and informed throughout my hospitalization and were willing to help me with outside the box requests. I'm very appreciative of their efforts.
Cassy Williams
Nurses and staff have been awesome. Pre surgery nurses and doctors were wonderful on process going into surgery. Great care after surgery, nurses and other staff have been wonderful in my personal care and pain management.

I was recently admitted to Mercy Gilbert Hospital and it would not have been my first choice because I live clear across town on the west side. It was the hospital that had the first available bed. All I can say it was the most wonderful unexpected travel for treatment possible.
Everyone I had any contact with were wonderful. To be honest wonderful doesn’t seem high enough praise, I am not talking about a specific department, when I say everyone i mean “everyone “. My physician talked to me and was kind, my nurses were not just concerned with my wellness but my families wellbeing.
I actually work in healthcare and can tell you I would be applying today if I lived closer., and would be honored if they accepted my application.
Thank you all the staff at Mercy Gilbert Hospital you are all true examples of Human kindness.

By far one of the best hospitals in the valley! I had a twin delivery here on 11/23 and when I say the staff was amazing! All the nurses were friendly, the doctors, midwives, anesthesiologists EVERYONE was welcoming. They need to hurry and open the new wing of hospital labor and delivery. But ladies and gents please this hospital is simply amazing. I’m a patient right now and haven’t felt neglected not one bit. Thank you for everything. If you’re on the fence about delivering at Mercy Gilbert let this review be all you need to make your decision. YOU WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF!

Excellent staff. Very caring. I wouldn’t recommend being hospitalized during a holiday when staff is short and communication has a tendency to be limited. Looking back I should have insisted on staying another day. Had problems with syncope, pain. Didn’t really know the plan until nurse brought in my discharge papers. I was dehydrated and really needed fluids yet my port was de-accessed. When an attempt was made to RE-access the port there was not a blood return, yet fluidics were started and I believe the fluid was trapped in the chest and not flowing into into port. Felt like I was having a heart attack. Today I have been struggling with SOB, pain and a fever. And I don’t know if I have a functional port. Guess I will find out when it is accessed on Dec 5 for my Infussion.

My first visit to Gilbert Mercy Emergency Room. I was impressed with the fastest service I have received for any one in our family. Very efficient system, excellent Doctors and Nurses keeping me informed thru the whole process.
Jane Koepplinger
Having been admitted to Mercy Gilbert-I encountered a remarkable staff behind its walls. From the ER to my room for a few days my experience with the doctors, nurses, technicians, and food service was professional and CALM. I cannot emphasis this word-each employee I encountered was kind, knowledgeable and soft with their words. I highly recommended this hospital.

I can not say enough good things about Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Dr. Shahlapour consistently went out of his way to ensure I was receiving the very best treatment possible. He was very “hands on” when it came to my care. He is also very funny and almost makes you forget that your in the hospital because while talking to him, everyone is laughing. I never felt judged or as though I was an inconvenience, which I have definitely felt at other facilities.
Thank you Dr. Shahlapour and your team for making my health a priority.
Ev Michell
Excellent hospital staff! Dr. Joseph Nelson, Orthopedic surgeon is outstanding. He does your knee replacement using robotic hand. He’s high tech! 😊 …
Louise Robinson
Mercy Gilbert Medical Center was excellent during my recent joint replacement surgery. From the receptionists, to the surgeons and everyone else who served me, I was treated with kindness and respect. I would definitely choose them again, if hospitalization is needed.

Not only a beautiful hospital but wonderful care as well. Efficient and kind staff, my nurse Heather in the emergency room was amazing. Thank you for making me feel so better 🙏 …
Martha Brock-Leftridge
Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center are the best in service. They have the best doctors, nurses and other specialists who go beyond normal care. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you, Martha Brock-Leftridge.
Marcela Valencia
I just like to say that Dr. Pineda was very helpful and understanding as well as the nurses from post ob and after in recovery every one was so nice and helpful to me.they were very caring I wished DB was like that and I hate to say that I wouldn't recommend zDB to no one we had such bad experience there. But Mercy Gilbert was the best and I always tell people its one of the best in Gilbert and anywhere else.
Jacquelyn Rosenthal
Staff in the ER were caring and efficient. Every test/ procedure was well explained. I felt well cared for and the atmosphere was friendly, even an occasional sense of humor.
Leslie Hirsch
Excellent staff who are very professional and personable. The nurses were amazing along with the physical therapist who instructed me in a safety checkout before discharge.
Vesna Paunovic
My husband was experiencing DKA. We came through Emergency room to ICU. Every single person who work in the hospital, from front desk in ER, through ICU doctors and nurses and cleaning stuff, EVERYONE was amazing.
Joan Thielen
Everything about my hospital. She has been perfect. I’m very happy with the staff. The way they treat you. They’re very friendly and the food is good too.
Cindii Harrison
Every experience with them has been excellent. Their patient contact is awesome, even texting videos about upcoming surgery. The techs and nurses that I have talked to have been professional, informative and very nice people.
Susie Gasch
I was brought in by ambulance and until discharge it was a 5 out of 5. Even the techs, transportation, imaging were terrific until discharge. That’s where the ball was dropped and ruined my entire stay!! We are working on changing the way it was handled with me.
Kathleen Deaver
Went for a Prolia injection. The nurse who administered it was professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. I did not have to wait long. The registration experience was fine.
Cynthia Stevenson
The staff was kind, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Yolanda went out of her way to get me an US appt the same day. Kathy in US accomadstrd me for that day as well. I was treated as a human being throughout
Debra Beckerdite
Doctors and nurses are very knowledgeable. Ran every test they could think of on my gallbladder before doing surgery. No surgery was needed.
Irving HersHershkowitz
I have been to Mercy Gilbert several times since I live here for the past 6 1/2 years they have always been Cody is kind and do that job to the upmost. I don’t think I would go to any other hospital to have anything done. I praise all the nurses and doctors there And thank you
Jami Meyers

Very, very well taken care of. The staff & my daytime & nighttime nurces were outstanding. Made a couple of good friends. I would recommend this hospital, hands down. I don't want to visit again anytime soon but you know what I mean. Thank you for EVERYTHING 😊😊😊😊🥰 …
Laurie Laurent
No body likes being in a hospital but my experience with Mercy was great the nurses and all the techs were very professional and made me feel good about being there
Aspen Cok
After being released from 4 other ER’s, Mercy Gilbert did a full evaluation in the ER, then admitted me for 2 days. Finally someone listened. If I or anyone I care about needs emergency care again I’m going straight to Mercy Gilbert.
Sandra Ramirez
Hands down one of the best hospitals to get medical care at. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I know I am receiving the best medical care when I am at Mercy Gilbert. Always an awesome experience.
Robbin Young
We’ve gone to the ER there two times. Once they were very busy and today they weren’t. The courtesy, genuine concern, and speed with which they got us the heck out of the waiting room, even if just to a bed in a hallway, was a huge contrast to other ER’s we’ve used.
Patrick Hogaboom
5 stars just for the way it looks. It doesnt look like your typical hospital. The wait to even see my wife would have taken me an hour with the line. Meanwhile, my wife was in ER, and she had to take kids with her and she needed to stay. I was just trying to pickup my kids.
Randal Brady
The care and compassion shown to my dad during his final days here with us was unmatched. Always have a good experience at this hospital, but they really showed how competent and caring they are.
Rebecca Garlock
Everyone in every area of Mercy was extremely helpful and very nice. You couldn't ask for better care and support making you feel like they really care.
Liz Schiavo
Mercy Gilbert hospital is, by far, the best hospital. I always know when I come here for any type of service I will be treated with care, dignity, respect and kindness. They are #1 foe me.
Sharon Martinez
Gilbert Mercy offers compassionate outstanding service from the moment you walk through the doors until you leave. Outstanding staff, clean facility, just a good overall place to entrust your medical needs and health care with.
Tarina Warby
I felt I was seen quickly and treated correctly. Unfortunately they sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy, had told them my pharmacy had changed. They also sent my paperwork to the wrong doctor, I told them my doctor had changed and gave them his name and number.
Heather Mckee
This is my second time being treated in mercy Gilbert for diverticulitis, the staff and doctors are very caring and informative. The room is large and clean and private so therefore I would come here for anything.
JC Maddox
It was recommended by Teledoc through telehealth visit that I go to the ER and be seen. Due to my symptoms. The people there were very nice, but really did nothing to help me find out what was going on for me. I had been attempting to deal with the situation for quite some time at a lower level of care so even though the workers were kind, I feel like I wasted a visit
Debbie Santone
I was very fortunate. The Emergency Room was not busy so I got right in. I was checked in, triaged and seen by a doctor within 30 minutes. I am always impressed by their efficiency so I drive the extra way just to go here.
Russell Horning
The outpatient surgery department is beautiful! The admissions, nursing, transporters, really everyone I had contact with was helpful, friendly and made an other wise unexpected procedure less distressing!
Darlene Alonzo
I have but a sincere thank you to everyone there. From the admitting young woman to the Dr and the staff. You will always be in my prayers again Blessing and a sincere thank you .❤️👮🏻💙😘🎉🎊🥰🚓🥳🥂 …
Ramona Ketsdever
My surgical team was terrific. Pre-op nurses were the best and I felt well cared for. Way to go Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert!
Nicole Butts
If you find yourself needing emergency care, go to Mercy Gilbert ER! The doctors and nurses are AMAZING! 10/10 highly recommend.
Charlene Clausen
Care and communication has been excellent.
The food is what I expected...not very good. Scrambled eggs were rubbery and flavorless (probably powdered).
Ronda Owens
Wonderful staff and skilled medical professionals. Fully answered questions and gave me excellent advice upon my continued journey for pain relief.
Antonio Bersani
The hospital takes care of you not only from a medical standpoint. Wide and relaxing spaces, a lot of chairs and comfortable waiting areas. The personnel is professional and kind, from doctors to nurses and volunteers. Visit and pray in the small but welcoming chapel.
Dennis Burns
My CT with TAVR protocol went very smoothly. Both the nurse and the technician were very friendly and professional. They explained things well. Thanks
Mailani Fernandez Dailey
Absolutely amazing staff! Every single person’s bedside manner was wonderful! The anesthesiologist John (Allen), the nurses Abbey, Lori, and Jan were awesome and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I’ve never had a better experience in a hospital. Kudos to all of your staff at MGMC!
Milo Saulter
I have the choice of where I want to trust my health and life at and I choose to use Mercy Gilbert Hospital because they treat me like family and honor my religious beliefs. Thank You.
marisa felix
Over the past several months I had been to multiple Banner Health facilities with no luck in resolving my health issues. At the point of my worst symptoms, I visited Mercy Gilbert through the emergency room. It unfortunately began with 2 different Front registration and nursing staff members that were less than helpful and belittled my concerns. Once i was given a bed in the ER the staff experience changed dramatically. They listened, were patient, and better yet, they understood my situation and admitted me to ensure my health issues was reviewed to the fullest extent. I left 3 days later to recover at home from surgery. I owe the staff at Mercy Gilbert full gratitude for their kindness and care. Dr Bryan specifically was the best provider I have ever encountered. Thank you Dr Bryan for helping me to get back onto a path of living a healthy lifestyle
Rigo Ramirez
Love this hospital. My second and third baby were born here. The service to mommy's and dad's is amazing. Visiting is 24 hours. And cafeteria closes at midnight.
Bill Besnard
Doctors and Nursing staff were terrific. I was kept up to date with test results and admitting and discharge went smoothly.
Russell Hammer
Entire staff from the front desk to the Operating Room was friendly & professional. Everything went smoothly. Would highly recommend Mercy Gilbert Hospital.
Chana Robison
I had my baby here 11 years ago now I still go to get lab work periodically. The volunteer staff are very friendly and they’re pretty punctual. We also have the benefit of a quick stop in at either the cafeteria which has healthy and not so healthy food for good prices, and the gift store is really pretty amazing
Melodie Bogart
Hands down best ER in the valley. The staff is so kind and caring that it is almost* a pleasant experience (as pleasant as a hospital experience can be anyway). Even though they were busy the doctor took time to listen to me and keep me informed of my care. I was terrified but the attitude and compassion of the staff helped me to feel supported instead of dismissed (like some other ERs). Obviously I hope you never have the need of an ER but if you do I recommend Mercy Gilbert. I really can't say enough good things about the staff and facilities.
steve hughes
Facility is great, Dr's / Nurse's are friendly and knowledgeable. Would have been a 5 if not for the disaster surrounding their MRI dept. My wife had an MRI ordered Saturday from ER and as of Monday and 9am still hadn't had it. She literally sat in the hospital taking up a bed/room for 48 hours waiting for a 15 minute test. They rent their machine to another hospital (I'm sure for a hefty fee) and ICU and ER patents jump to the front, which I totally agree with, however no other patients ever get theirs done because of it. Outsource to simon-med, pretty ridiculous.
Jane Kenner
What a great experience, the nurses were great, the phlebotomist was so professional and nice. The Doctors were very thorough and attentive. I can't give the food 5 stars but it was tolerable. Radiology was also really great as well as the transporter. Everyone showed great concern and compassion.
Robert Keezer
The whole atmosphere of the hospital was friendly and upbeat making for a good experience if you have to be hospitalized. Thanks Gilbert Mercy
Rachel Freeman
Great hospital! Received wonderful care by all the staff! Thank you! Room was just beautiful and so clean!
Kate Kresse
I just did a sleep study at the sleep center. I has an excellent experience because Maggie took excellent care of me. She explained everything thoroughly. She is kind, professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate.
Robert 1 Family
The entire experience was great. Check in to surgery . The nurses and doctor were awesome.
Linda Lakey
They were efficient in finding out what was wrong, but their bedside manner wasn’t that warm. I asked for a pair of socks over and over, never got any. I had to ask for a blanket many times before I got one. I was very cold the whole time.
They pushed me out of the room really quickly and I was uncomfortable waiting in the lobby waiting for my ride
Chico Mills
I just had a surgery two weeks ago and everyone there made me feel super comfortable.🥰 …
Ryan Barmore
Attended a Celebration of Life last night in the healing garden for Dr. Terry Happel, one of the surgeons. Such a gorgeous setting. It was nice listening to his fellow MDs, hospital administrators and family speak about his fantastic life. Thank you Mercy Gilbert MC for hosting such a great event for a spectacular man.
Dory Hendricks
Had shoulder surgery. Couldn’t be happier with Mercy Gilbert. Great nursing staff! Drove all the way from Prescott to have my surgery there.
Jennie Snedecor
For ER visits, it could not have gone better!! Thank you Dr. Zosky and my nurse Chloe for being so attentive, caring and EXCELLENT at their jobs.
Jhennicea Morrow
Emergency care and hospitalization can be quite chaotic and overwhelming, at the best of times, but my experience at Gilbert Mercy was the best possible. Doctors took the time to listen ( as did all other staff) and courtesy was abundant. My needs were well addressed and I was treated with respect. My future medical needs will definitely be covered at Mercy Gilbert hospital. Great service and wonderful people giving the care a patient needs.
stephanie drayton
I was visiting my daughters from California and ended up in excruciating back pain..I went to this hospital'ER and left with relief..within 3 hours..The staff and Doctors were amazing...Thank you for being your best on one of my worst days..👍🏽 …
Dixie Hart
Everyone was so nice, thoughtful, helpful, and the BEST! They listened to this old ladys stories and we had a great time thru my pain. Physical therapists are also the BEST. They are kind, gentle, and understanding! My time at Mercy Gilbert was "extended", but so wonderful thru it all. That says something when I had a hip replaced!!! Thank you all so very much for your care, time, and expertise!

Excellent care by extremely efficient & knowledgeable staff. At 87 I have made that my “go to” hospital. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to the doctors & staff there

I had hip replacement surgery at Dignity Health Hospital a couple weeks ago on May 11th 2022. This hospital is wonderful. It is well organized every step of the way. This hospital offered a 2 hour inservice orientation for patients having hip or knee replacement surgery. All questions could be addressed as to the procedure, which professionals would be involved, exercises to be done pre and post surgery at home. Very streamlined process. I was pleased with the quality of care from all staff that cared for me.
Most recently, October 2022, I had to return to Mercy Gilbert due to a diverticulitis problem. I spent 4 days being treated for that infection. The care was superb. The home health care following the hospital stay is great . A good feeling as a senior citizen that patients get followed a few weeks to make sure we are completely recovered.
I’m glad this is hospital close to my home-very convenient.

Staff was amazing. Sweet and comforting. Got me in fast and out in a timely manner. Very professional and explained everything to where I understood. Amazing experience
Crystal Sterling
I felt the help was really nice, very professional. Although I am still feeling headache's, almost every day, morning. Thank you for your guidance.
Bob
The wait to get into the colonoscopy procedure room was a couple hours longer than expected. Otherwise it was great, but I was very hungry!
Virginia Moore
The facility was very clean and neat. I was explained how everything worked. They made you feel very comfortable..
Thomas Hoerman
Very nice and helpful staff. Surprisingly ran very efficiently. I had three separate tests done and waited no more than 5 minutes for each one.
Nancy Rafter
2/27/2023. Dr Nelson did a wonderful job on my 3rd L hip revision. Prev surgeries were done by a different doctor. 1 day after surgery my BP is 110 over 75, no dizziness, oxygen 95, pain level 1-2! May be going home today. Food is quite good and help is exceptional! My thanks to David, Megan and Ivana who took great care of me! I would like to give Bee and Daisy awards to all the great people that took care of me!
Heather Kent
Everything is so easy, from registering to discharge. All staff members were kind and helpful. I love this hospital !
Richard Speer
The staff was friendly and extremely efficient and professional. I hope and pray people don’t need medical help, but that when you do, you get the treatment I got at Mercy Gilbert.
Dorothy Major
The staff was exceptional in terms of care, compassion, and concern for my well being. This will be my hospital of choice should I ever have to be hospitalized in the future.
Susie Evans
Hospital stay was fine but billing department didn’t fill out insurance claim correctly so Humana denied my claim.
Roni Knapp
I had surgery at Mercy Gilbert. From preparation to recovery they were caring and professional. They explained everything I needed to know so I knew what to expect and alleviated my fears.
K McKinney
I can not stress enough how pleased I am with the nursing staff here. My mother received top notch care. The staff was there quickly if button was pushed. Very pleasant, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They Stopped in several times to check to see if any of the family needed anything, just great. Staff also took the time to explain any questions we had. If I could give them 10 stars I would. The facility was also in very good condition. My mother did have to wait a little while to get a room but darn Covid has created this issue.
I was at a larger hospital not far from here, a year ago, with heart issues, and that Hospital would get a minus 5 stars compared to here. I would highly recommend this Hospital.
rx schager
Very efficient facility. No gaffes. Need more volunteers early to guide patients through waiting process.
Once through the registration/insurance desk , some anxious folk need a wait board to see how close they are to being called.
Nursing at staging area is great.
Anesthesia staging is great
Surgery arena is clean
Recovery area nursing is great and also at assistance to pick up doors.
The star rating is close to 5 than 4
Thank you to my team for a 1st time
Experience with your hospital.
Barb Estill
I go to the outpatient lab for my lab work draws. I have difficult veins due to chemo therapy. The staff is always kind, courteous, listens to me and my suggestions as to make the draw easier. They always go above and beyond and are exceptional employees. They truly care. The staff in admitting is also top notch. Because of my frequent visits I feel like they are friends. Everyone makes my time there pleasant and less anxiety ridden.
Mary Flores Pimentel (Lil'Mary)
The ER Doctor and nurse were very nice and attentive. They were nice and explained in detail what was wrong with me. Nurses on the floor after being out in a room they were all nice they showed they care. They were very helpful as well as the attending doctor. This hospital is very clean and I would recommend it to anyone who needs medical attention.
Paul Uphill
All the nurses and surgical team were very courteous caring kind attentive and helpful throughout my surgery and my recovery thank you for being so nice
Ariel Jane
I have never felt it truly necessary to leave a review for a hospital, let alone an E.R. visit but considering how AMAZING the WHOLE STAFF was, I had to.
I brought my daughter in for a fever that I could not get down. No amount of medicine rotation, bathing, skin to skin, or cool cloth could break. And once that thermometer said 103.8 for the 4th hour straight, I knew I had to do something so off to the nearest E.R. we went.
We got there and everyone was just so helpful and considerate. I LOVED being able to check on our status throughout our whole stay. They kept us well informed and welcomed. I have never had such a pleasant experience.
I hope I don't have to return any time soon but if I do, I'm coming here. 100%.
Philip Duffy
Wonderful experience, except for the being sick part. Staff were amazing, and the Drs., all seemed to genuinely care. Especially Dr. Shalapour, what an exceptional caregiver. The nurses, food staff, and the cleaning folks, could not have been more kind.
After 5 days in hospital, I was sent home in a home care program. There again, the staff could not have taken better care of me. They even brought treats for my dog!!!
Mercy General, I am forever grateful for your kindness, service and care. I am finally mostly better, and give all the credit to the amazing people from the Dignity group.
Debe Savage
From the time you make an appointment you are promptly greeted with a friendly front desk person. The nurse who called me back was very nice and understanding of my problem. The doctor is also nice and understands your reason for being there. They give you their time and knowledge of your situation. Promptly let you know the results of any test and how they plan to treat you. My husband and I have gone to this facility several times and always liked it. We definitely have recommended it to friends and family.
Mark Zanders
Over the last 6 years I think I've been to most of the hospitals here in the East Valley, both Banner and Dignity Health, by far Mercy Gilbert is the best.
Alicia Mathews
All the doctors and nurses took very good care of me. I appreciate ever they did got me!
Larry Aubuchon
Great team of providers. I was cared for in a way that made my unexpected stay much less burdensome. Great hospital.
Allison Smith
My daughter was seen right away after checking. The doctor and PA included my 10 year old daughter in the conversation which kept her calm and made her feel important. Each staff member we encountered from check in to the therapist that splinted her fractured wrist, was excellent. Our visit was less than 1 1/2 hours from the time we checked in to the time we were headed home; that they provided such exemplary care in such a short timeframe is very much appreciated.
Tamisha Hill
The best medical care EVER! I had my surgery performed in October, I was nervous but the ENTIRE staff was AMAZING! From the volunteer desk to registration to everyone in between. My surgeon has the best bedside manner, Dr. Leavitt truly cares about his patients, explaining everything to me and my mom, thank you.
There was a room shortage, me and another patient stayed the night in a make shift room but the care from the nurses made up for it. (We should get a discount for not having a room with a door) Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful and thankful❤️
I feel like this hospital really cares for patients, the nurses were attentive and caring. Everyone was so great I thought I was in the twilight zone.
Thank you all so much for the care. You are appreciated.
Leatrice Smiley
Went in for a outpatient laparoscopic surgery but ended up having to stay overnight because my doctor wanted to make sure everything was okay internally before releasing me. The staff was great they were all very prompt and attentive the hospital was clean and sanitary the only downside is that the patient food was terrible 😔 but the food my wife was able to get for herself from the cafeteria was good. One nurse even let my wife borrow his charger for a few hours since she didn't have one.
mark ellis
I was treated so well Mercy Gilbert Medical . It was amazing, the doctors, the nurses, the hospital staff, everyone were always highly professional and caring.
Everyone displayed an incredible amounts of empathy for me and never hesitated to go above and beyond my expectations. Also, my wife was very pleased with the high level of communications she received on a daily basis regarding my current status of health and the progress being made on a regular basis.
Thank you all so very much,
Mark Ellis
Mark Whitehurst
An amazing hospital with a very knowledgeable, caring staff. At every level they treat you like you were the only patient they had.

Elaine Stockett

Heather Vincent-Niven
Very Beautiful Building. Friendly and professional staff members. I felt well cared for before, during and after my procedure.
Corinne Lamont
They agree that I have the pain they are treating me for but they send me home eith the pain. I’m a pain patient why can’t I be treated like other patients with pain or call my pain physician? There’s a double standard of care,
Donna Badaglialacqua
I’m an RN. My husband a dr. On a scale of 1-10 we give our review 17.
Nurses ER and ICU excellent at nursing. Chatted like we were girlfriends while watching everything they did. I was on triple IV antibiotics and IV NS by the barrel to rehydrate and fight infection for five days while also hooked to tele. I’d pass another ER the get to Mercy

I am and have been a "hard draw". (blood taken) most my life..Having my blood drawn is VERY traumatic for me, the only way to get it is to use an ultra sound machine... Which means I can't go to your typical labs...
Mercy Gilbert is where I have to make an appointment to get any lab work done..
They are absolutely the best ... They treated me with utmost respect & WITHOUT judgement... Making sure I felt safe and unafraid was a priority... From check-in downstairs to the room they draw blood ( upstairs) I was treated like a V.I.P. THANK YOU Mercy Gilbert
Ciku wa Mukimo
Hi this is a good place cause you are taken care of very well.Your questions are answered well and they will always ask if you have a problem. Thank You So Much For Your Service And Care.
Carol Malone
Most caring staff ever! Explaining everything in detail. They are all very loving and want the best for you!
Kim Pugh
I have only good things to say about both the hospital and their other facilities. Very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you all for everything!
Lindsay Hill
They took good care of me. They were all professionals at their jobs. Thank you for taking care of me. Lindsay Hill
Joanne Robertson
The staff was great the timing was expedient and the hospital was clean. I had a very good overall experience.
Tracy Boyd
The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. The Mammographer was excellent & that means a lot to me because I’ve been a Tech for 15+yrs. Nice facility as well. I also received my results within a few days. I highly recommend this location for any women that need to have a mammogram.
Adrian Gutierrez
I have had several surgeries this past year and the surgeons and staff are amazing. My nurses were very tentative and knowledgeable. The follow ups with my surgeons were professional and listened to my healing progress. I have completely changed my lifestyle and regained my health. I am forever grateful for everyone that was involved with my procedures and recovery.
Linda Vindiola
Excellent care received from all medical staff. Hospital stay was comfortable and very clean
Mary Bergman
While I was at my visit my NP yawned through my whole exam. She was nice enough but I felt very awkward.
When they called for my blood work they made a telemed appointment. As I was waiting for the NP to get on zoom my phone rings and it was the NP apologizing because she got me mixed up with another patient. She explained my blood work and said that I would not be charged for the visit
The next morning I get another call from her explaining my blood work again. I told her I spoke with her last night and again she apologized and said I thought your name looked familiar.
Then to top it off I get an email from the medical group telling me I was a no show for my appointment.
Very leery about going back again. Will probably change doctors
Jon Holiday
Great experience. Well taken care of nurses and doctors very friendly and understanding.
Evelyn Purser
It’s a Great hospital. The staff was friendly. I had a fantastic nurse. The doctor explained everything in detail.
Judith Gottsch
Staff friendly, efficient, professional! Couldn't ask for better care! Thanks for your support and caring for my husband, Virgil Gottsch. Before and after his total hip replacement!
Debbie Hunt
ul as I got older, and Dr. Patterson said that operating on it and building up the ankle joint would eliminate the pain I was having in it when I walked.
Thank you Dr. Patterson & his Staff for your assistance,
Debbie S. Hunt
Christine Denney
We received prompt and excellent care from the staff and the MD overseeing our daughter’s care!
Jeanne Poe
Everyone, starting with the phone call to make the appointment, to the front desk staff greeting me, to the technician doing the mammogram, is so friendly, welcoming, making me feel comfortable. I was in & out in a timely manner. Love the all-female staff. Received my results letter in just a few days. Couldn't ask for more!
L Thompson
Kind and Friendly staff from start to finish. Staff will explain things in detail.
The environment has changed since Covid-19.
This hospital never had overflow seat along the main hallway. (changes the look and feel of the hospital)
Although, it was busy on the day of my visit, I did not wait anymore than 10 min before I was seen. The doctors did seem rushed to provide information on my health luckily I could understand.
This may not apply to everyone. For those who may be in extreme pain or other critical health issues, it maybe better to have someone go with you. This way someone can explain what the physician said once you are feeling better.
Britney Barragan
The staff is very attentive and keeps you informed every step of the way. The physician assistant Daniel has amazing bedside manner and talks to you like you are a human not a number. I was thankful to have my experience at this emergency room.
Erin Gibbs
I was in for a surgery and stayed overnight. Everyone was very nice. Clean room. The only problem was it was hard to get attention of nurses. When using call button it took a while to get help. I attributed this to them being very busy. I hated to call, but needed help. Also I was supposed to get help walking every hour but didn't mind not having to get up and do that every hour as they were busy and I could rest. Could have used water refreshed more. Overall it wasn't a bad experience. Just the only time I can remember not having attentive care givers. First time at Mercy Gilbert so not sure if this is normal.
Pat Crabb
I had a wonderful surgery staff thanks for taking good care of me!!
Alva Medley
Five years ago I gave birth to my first born at this hospital (I cose to not have my second child delivered here for good reasons!) My experience was awful! I came in with contractions and and the phlebotomists was very detached with with no bedside manners. She poked me 3-4 times to finally get a needle in. Not once did she apologize or showed any sympathy and not once did I complain! Then my doctor never showed up (Valley Women for Women) instead I had a doctor who I had never met with. I pushed for hours towards where I ended up with an infection and she finally called for an emergency c-sec. She did say I was a trooper 👍🏽 Yep! That’s how I was a trooper. After baby was delivered I was put in a room with a nurse and a training nurse. I was heavily numb from the epidural etc. I struggled to keep my eyes open, and I personally hate feeling like this when I have no control over my body and so I freak out inside. I asked the nurse how long it would take for this to wear out…she said three hours but she was more interested in the conversation she was having with the volunteer nurse, asking her about school/classes. Instead of actually being a nurse and working on making me feel better. Perhaps a soft touch to my shoulder would have been very human of her. I still have hard feelings over her attitude! In my opinion some nurses shouldn’t be nurses. They handle many pregnant women that come in for delivery but this was my first, the addition to my family. A new life!
Ivonne Terry
Working with dignity health on my weight loss journey has been nothing short of amazing
Patricia Brett
Mercy Hospital was fantastic the nurses stayed in the room with me overseeing any changes checked my blood pressure every fifteen minutes went over all my medications what they were for went over my history. I highly recommend them there are no other hospitals that compares to them. Checked on the test results the doctor ordered. Other hospitals take you to the room and you don’t see anyone for hours at Mercy the nurse and doctor came right away. The hospital was super busy. They didn’t just leave you in the room and don’t come back for hours, give you attitude telling you you aren’t the only patient here and that there are worst patients here.
Jessica Michaels
Greatly appreciate all of the staff at Mercy Gilbert, our RN's Shannon and Andy were fantastic, it was a difficult evening for us but everyone made everything so much easier. Steve, who fitted my daughter for her sling, just was so nice to talk to. Monica, who just came to say hello to my daughter, as a fellow softball mom, recognized my daughter in her uniform. Dr. Jimmy Nguyen was a great doctor and walked us through everything. Thank you to everyone for all the care my daughter received.
Fin Sondergaard
I am a bit conflicted here. The staff and the facility were absolutely wonderful! I'd give them a five out of five.
Unfortunately at the last minute my anesthesiologist said that I had not been past covid symptoms for long enough. I don't know what communication was missing that would have me to be in a gown with a needle in my arm and then to be turned away from surgery. So I would give that communication factor a two or a three out of five.
Gary Gepner
I know that the hospital is full and bissy but I was always in a room and well cared for
Lydia Stell
I visited Gilbert Mercy for the first time this month. I went to get labs done & a week later had an endoscopy completed. I can’t rave enough about how thorough & experienced all of the staff was. The check-in was easy, the waiting room volunteer was kind & informative & the pre-op nurses were thorough & extremely experienced. The hospital is well marked with signs & directions, extremely clean & in pristine condition.
P
This was the best urgent care we have ever been to. The entire staff from check in window to doctor were absolutely incredible. They made us feel like family there. We waited no time at all. Thank you to the entire staff for being an example of what an urgent care should be. I will always come to this location.
Kudos to the entire staff!
Sandra Sandweg
Everyone was kind and very professional. They kept me informed from start to finish as to what would happen and how I would feel. Some of the nurses made me laugh, which helped in calming me down.
If I had to have another procedure I would definitely go here again.
william O'Fallon
The entire staff is amazing. Can’t say enough about everyone there. If you have an option to have your baby here do it.
Terri Needham
Had such an AWESOME experience here. The staff and Dr. are so AMAZING. I would highly recommend it here.
John Schile
With a very painful dislocated left shoulder the ER nurses and doctors tended to me very quickly considering how many people were in the waiting area. Thank you all very much!!
Palometta Fleming hackert
I am totally impressed with the level of care I received at Mercy Gilbert. My stay was actually somewhat enjoyable if that is possible . The system with the Drs and infectious disease Dr and the hospitalization is amazing and informative , you are very involved with your care. Very informative and efficient, I felt like I was at a 5 star resort minus the mini bar! I will never go to another hospital, this was top of the line and I thank all the Dictors and amazing nurses for the care and care ❤️❤️
Steve Gray
Everyone was so nice and they were responsive to our questions and needs. They treated me AND my wife more like family than just a person I a bed. Being across from the nurses station I got to see several people come and go and the nurses would treat everyone with kindness. Highly recommend Mercy Gilbert!
Amanda Johnson
Took my daughter MGMC and I'm so glad I did. I was worried with the current pandemic that wait times would be extremely high as I experienced as a different hospital in early November waiting 13 plus hours for care. At MGMC I was able to check in online and be seen very quickly. My daughter was well taken care of and the staff was amazing. Even with overcrowding and lots of demand the nurses and the doctor were kind respectful and patient.
Carole Wheeler
Given a choice, I would ALWAYS choose Mercy Gilbert! Wonderful accommodations, clean and quiet. Great staff.
S Pollack
A excellent place, thorough and caring. I know it’s the ER , but it is a good place to be when you’re hurt. Dr. Frank was on top and informative
NINJA
I was having chest pain and a severe headache. I came to Mercy Gilbert Hospital for care. When I arrived at the hospital I was greeted by some very professional front end staff. They showed concern and empathy for me and I was given a room right away. The backend staff also treated me with respect and professionalism. The Doctor was very punctual and was very helpful to me. The place was very, very clean as well. I will use this hospital for further treatment from now on. Thank you all for taking great care of me.
Jason Zook
I went in with stomach issues and a hurt knee because I got dizzy and fell and all of the nurses and my doctor were excellent!
Marisol Blackmon
The service and care by the ER team was absolutely phenomenal. They were ALL so friendly and caring towards my poor son. From the front desk check-in, to the nurses, doctors, insurance lady…everyone. They were patient, informative, everything I would have wanted in a healthcare team. I was dreading going to the ER because…duh, it’s the ER. But they made my experience so pleasant. They brought such peace to a worried mama. They all seemed to be happy workers and the culture of their work environment was so welcoming. Best service I’ve ever had in an ER situation! Thank you for healing and CARING about my son. I am so grateful!
J Ball
I was admitted last Sunday to Mercy Gilbert thru the ER Dept.
Beyond excellent to ER staff. Thank you everyone... way to talk with and at times Crack a few jokes.... than it's off to the fourth floor I go !!! Greeted by the amazing Jake R.N. so very very kind. Welcoming me to the unit getting me set up in my room, etc. When he saw that I was in pain, he was able to get my medicine, and he even stood by my bed and prayed for me!! You Jake are my MVP!!
Than from there I had the same two nurses am and pm ladies.
Well start with the AM nurse, COURTNEY R.N.(she's a traveling nurse and has been at mercy for almost a year if in remember), anyway, so very very kind, compassionate, caring, willing to check on me at any given time, stayed on top of my pain when needed, educated me on diabetes, helped me at any time, right on the spot!!! Your kindness shows you love your job, thank you so much.
Than my night nurse Camille R.N.
You were so sweet in making sure I was able to sleep, showered, and out of pain, your smile is contagious, it was so nice to share stories with you.
Thank you for you true caring ways, and your professionalism.
I can honestly say, you love your job and you love working at Mercy Gilbert!!!
All THREE of the above staff, deserve a medal for their work.
I miss you all and hope that we will see one another again.. just not in the hospital lol
Thank you for being a part of my journey to get healthy...
You're the best of the best!!
Jacqueline room 419

Great People working at this hospital I really appreciate everything they did, especially Tiffany who is one of the nurses she went above and beyond and I wanted to say thank you! What a kind heart.
Yvette Meyer
This was an amazing experience considering the circumstances. I had knee replacement surgery. The nurse there were very attentive and made sure all went well. They also made sure my pain level was under control. The morning nurse on my last day was a bit busy and was a little laxed, but over all things couldn’t have gone better.
Kellie Walker
The five star rating is due to the kindness received walking in the front door and engaging with the check-in staff. Then as you progress through your time at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center nothing changes. The entire medical staff is engaged with each patient. They actually make you feel like you are the only patient in the building. Very engaging, actually listening to what you have to say, making sure you are comfortable and going the extra mile to relieve anxiety and nervousness. Everyone working there has so much to do, yet when they are with a patient they make you feel like nothing else but you matters to them. Thank you for a great experience!
Sue Warner
I was taken here by ambulance after a fall and had to have emergency surgery. Everyone from the ER to the nutrition staff were awesome! Helpful, polite, friendly, clean, professional , I really have nothing to complain about. I’d like to give a shout out to the nurses on the 4th floor! They took such great care of me and were always so kind and caring!
Summer Nicole
I delivered my third baby here in January and it was such a great experience. My first nurse I wasn't super thrilled with, but my nurse while I was in active labor and delivering was AMAZING. Heather, you're a rock star and thank you for helping me get through my delivery med free like I wanted.
Whitney and Eddie Fearing
They were quick and professional and pleasant. We are thankful for the kind nurse who helped us and the quick response.
Ana MA
My visit to the ER was painful but had an overall positive experience with Savanna and ER staff. She was friendly and had a warmth spirit.
Dustin Rodgers, AG Ret.
Awesome, we avoid MDs and hospitals for good reason. But when you need them you want the very best.
My wife had a serious emergency, could have lost her. 18 days and a successful surgery and they did an incredible job.
Fantastic nurses like Austin, Taylor Shandrie, Lisa, Carol, and all the rest were so very kind, gentle, caring, a pleasure in every way.
Dr. Bhoola, Dr. Singh, Dr. Mandel, so many more great staff.
Don't trust your life to any other hospital... these folks are the very best... they live up to the motto do no harm and so much more.
Cecil Baird
Despite being very busy the service was quick, comprehensive and respectful. Hopefully won't need their services in the future but would absolutely return and recommend others do the same.
richard parker
Intake was seamless, everyone was very nice and ready to answer questions. Quality of care has dimished since I was there for a knee replacement oct 2019. They appear to be short staffed, they still did a good job. Checkout was very easy, the group has added more technology to the processes to help streamline.
Amy Padilla
I had my first baby here this past March and it was the absolute best experience. It went better than I could’ve imagined. My nurses were all so amazing and comforting. I recommend delivering at this hospital to all my friends that are expecting!
Cassandra Denzeler Camargo
Nurses and doctors have been patient, caring and helpful. When I arrived at the emergency room and was screened they rushed me to the tests and imaging a needed ASAP. I have nothing bad to say. It was a busy weekend with so many patients but they managed to find a place for everyone. The nurses came regularly to check on me and we’re genuinely caring. The only think it would be better is the waiting time to see a specialist doctor when needed. I had to wait quite a while. Otherwise this is a great hospital and I am glad I chose it.
Betsy Wells-Gephart
The clinic lobby is decorated for comfort, Pink is their color. Everyone there is knowledgeable and compassionate. They appreciate timeliness while respecting our time as their patients. They are efficient, and take time for questions and reassurance. When I have an order for a woman’s image to be done, I chose Halsted Women’s clinic. They do a professional job that the physicians like, I appreciate their timeliness and passion for their work and compassion for me 😊.
(And, I’m not paid for this review!)

Came in with chest pain told me less then a hour into me being there it was valley fever all around great care
Victoria C
My experience at Mercy Gilbert was nothing less of amazing. Kayla, Joanie, and Cathie of the Labor and Delivery nursing team were amazing to me and my husband the entire stay. This was my first pregnancy and they made me feel validated, safe, and well taken care of. My son was born a month early so they kept a good eye on me the entire time. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and hope if I decide to have another baby that they are my nurses again! All staff were very nice and accommodating to our needs for our stay. :)
Sandra Nabboud
I want to thank each and every nurse and staff member that cared for my mother during her stay at the hospital. You made her smile, you made comfortable, you held her hand, you talked to her, you made her laugh and most importantly you cared. Thank you to the Chaplins that comforted her. Thank you for the amazing and compassionate staff that did everything in their power to make her comfortable and ease her pain. You are all amazing, God Bless you all!
Jill Bloom
I highly recommend Mercy Gilbert for any of your Medical needs. Their outpatient services are extremely prompt, professional and the nursing staff is top notch. I would not go anywhere else. Thank you for taking care of me!
Rick Wasylenko
The most professional staff I have ever had work on me. Everyone in that hospital at every level was outstanding. Even the food was great. Everyone I came in contact with there had my best interest at heart. I hadn't spent the night in a hospital in 50 years so I really had no expectations but I was blown away by the compassion and caring displayed by the staff at Mercy Gilbert. I can't really compare this hospital to any other in the valley but my care there was so good I don't want to ever go to another. This hospital deserves a review like this because they truly are a caring bunch of great people. I was in extremely competent hands. Thanks Mercy Gilbert Hospital for making my stay comfortable and safe. God bless!
Ron Rindfuss
A wonderful hospital to be in if you have to be in a hospital setting. Everyone was personable and anxious to see that you were as comfortable as possible from answering all your questions to the completion of your visit. The whole culture is aimed at making your experience as stress-free as possible from check-in to check-out.
Rita Gerber
Everyone I came in contact with was kind, intelligent, knew what had to be done and did it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or to return should the need arise to Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert.
Linda Norris
I really like Mercy Gilbert Hospital. Have had tests their and I will be having surgery. Everyone is so nice and helpful.
Laura Blumberg
I am a former patient at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ. All of my medical needs were addressed, and I was treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. I highly recommend this hospital for urgent medical care.
Vicki Lewis
I was in the ER on Friday and everyone was attentive and caring. Although it was busy I didn’t have to wait long to see a doctor and was kept comfortable throughout the whole visit.

I have had a positive experience with Mercy Gilbert hospital and I would recommend for others if they are ill and need to be seen that they go to Mercy Gilbert.
Edward Holman
Service was great, my only complaint is that I had to wait for an hour past my appointment time before I was seen.
Jennifer Lakosky
My daughter fell on her arm last night about 11pm. We drove over to this ER and they took her right in, casted her and we were home by 11:45! This place was excellent! Thanks for taking such great care of my baby!
Amy Garland
All the people I was in contact with, were wonderful. From the receptionist to the nurses. Very thankful.
Jill Oliver
Spent several hours in Mercy Gilbert's ER two weeks ago after a problem with anesthesia left me on oxygen. The whole floor was crazy with people on guerneys, including me, in hallways. The nurses and doctors were all amazing professionals who were upbeat, positive, and totally dedicated to giving me the best care possible. I am thankful for the insight into the times we live in. Medical professionals continue to be heroes doing the job they might not have ever imagined.
erica torrez
The staff is very friendly and very thorough. I tried going to urgent care prior but they decline me service due to them closing in 20 minutes. The provider answered all my questions I had and made me feel very comfortable highly recommend to my family and friends
steven woyciechowski
The doctors and nurses in my care team where very helpful in my recovery. Takes a while to get a bed once your admitted. But, other than that I would make this my go to hospital. Location is important to me! If they have the care I need.....and this was 10 minutes away, two thumbs-up 👍 …
Teroka Darthroofius
The staff was completely professional and awesome especially my nurses Jake and Janice.
Jenny Delacruz
I had the best care here. From the moment I checked in until I left I felt cared for and respected.
Michele M
I had really like the staff and Dr. Dibb. It was a positive experience all around, but the follow up never happened. I was supposed to receive a call within a week to have an ultrasound scheduled, and that never happened. I would've given them 4 stars if the follow up occurred for the ultrasound.
Linda house
Everyone took great care of me and were very professional and very friendly.
They were genuinely interested in helping me.

My stay at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center was by far the best experience I've ever had if you happen to stay here PRAY that you get Nurse Peggy. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about her job. I also had Nurse Dallin and Keri who were also good. Nobody ever wants to stay in the hospital but if you ever have to you're in great hands. Thanks,

The initial time to check in was very slow which then caused a delay to my actual appointment. I arrived as instructed at 8:30am for check in with a 9:00am appointment. I was sent up to the appointment at 9:30 without the bloodwork needed. The staff in both areas were constantly busy but seemed several issues came up delaying everyone. In ATU the staff was fabulous and knew everything needed and explained everything very clearly as well as answered all questions. Very clean and efficient. Recommend Mercy Gilbert.
Lori Hansel
I was very pleased with the Care that I received at Mercy Gilbert Hospital. All of the Nurses were fantastic. I felt like they really cared about me. I was

All of the staff was wonderful! Really enjoyed the nurses and anesthesiologist
Vanessa Santos
This place is amazing and the nurses were phenomenal! I unfortunately lost my baby and had to have surgery(D&C) in October 2020, all of the nurses were so caring and informative. They cried with me and even held my hand before I knocked out from anesthesia.💜 We are pregnant with our rainbow baby boy and I can't wait to deliver him here, no where else I'd rather go to. Thank you so much for your amazing team Mercy gilbert!
Wesley H
I had to go in for abdominal pain was diagnosed with Acute Appendicitis.
I was in 10/10 pain, past out in the lobby likely from dehydration and the blinding pain but the nurses were not very friendly, or considerate however another nurse eventually came to give me my Morphine and Zofran, because my primary nurse was busy with a code and she was good, took care of most things.
The internal medicine doctor, surgeon and everyone in Pre-Op, OR and PACU, also the CT department plus techs were amazing. All of them where very nice to me, and made my experience good.
Surgeon was again really fast, got me out some day. Thank you :)
naomi blaine
During my stay all of the nurse staff I came in contact with were awesome. Basically everyone that I came in contact with showed compassion. Nutrition, nurses, surgical and housekeeping were all amazing.
John Massey
My stay at Gilbert Mercy Medical was outstanding. They kept me safe and got me so I could breath better and also o lose some weight!
My blood pressure has improved also with the help of all the Drs. And nurses there. The food wasn’t bad they gave me three meals every day and also a few in between snacks too, all n all it was a very good experience. If I ever get sick again I hope I’ll be able to go back to Gilbert Mercy Medical Center
Tammy Johnson
Great service! Great staff! Quick in & gave pertinent needed critical helpful advice and checkup! Thank you!
Yvette Casteel
This hospital was very nice to be at all the doctors and nurses were GREAT there
Brenda Taylor
This hospital's staff are very caring and make their patients comfortable and important.
Judith Walsh
Gilbert Mercy Hospital is a great place to stay while recouping from surgery. I so enjoyed the helpful kind nursing staff and the encouraging rehab department. I had wonderful care and want to stay in the Dignity Health system from now on. Thank you everyone.
Nona Sanders
The emergency room was not comfortable or attractive. They jerryrigged doors and air filters. The door couldn’t shut the big tube taking the air out was loud and very stressful. I would recommend getting rid of those rooms and just having professional air exchange rooms. I find the existing rooms to be embarrassing for a hospital that prides itself on its beauty. The nursing care was great as was the physician care by Dr. Dowler.
I loved my room on the first floor and the care by my nurses and doctor. He is a hospitalist and gave me his card but now I can’t find it. I believe he is from Africa. The phlebotomists were exceptional and when I went to radiology for CT I was explained to about what was happening and made very comfortable around my difficult breathing.
Kip Leach
Sometimes they want to keep you longer when you feel good enough to go home. There's no life or death reason for keeping you longer yet if you check out then the bill is on you??
Debra Lesko
I went in for a routine outpatient procedure. I was very pleased with the care I got and the speed of everything. I was extremely nervous before the procedure and one of the nurses stayed with me the whole time before the procedure keeping me talking and keeping me calm. I cannot say enough good things about the care I get at Mercy Gilbert.
Gary Kock
Emergency room was very short staffed. I feel like I was there much longer than I needed to be
John Cannady
Everybody was very proffesional and polite. The medical staff was really nice to me and made me feel comfortable. I was kind of scared about my procedure but all the reassurance and kind words really put me at ease.
Robert Sullivan
Very nice group of people that are concerned with your well-being and do everything I can to make you comfortable
Darryl Tattrie
Nursing staff was awesome!! Thanks for taking care of me so well!
Tanya Cotton
The nurses and doctors at Mercy were amazing! They really cared about my well being and listened when I spoke to them about my care. I 100% recommend this hospital!
Marilee Mohr
Excellent caring nurses and admin. Hard to believe this type of Healthcare still exists. Thank you!
Michelle Salisbury
Everyone was fantastic! Very helpful and kind. Hospital is clean.
james stout
The Hospital is great, I was treated like a real person, not a number or another file document. I must say that Dr. Devin Grey is a good Dr. But does not provide enough prescription pain relief. I requested some directly and explained the concerning swelling, bruises, and pain and was told to take ibuprofen. It was a brutal recovery to say the least. Having done a bilateral Inguinal operation with unforeseen complications I was very disappointed to have been treated like I was a drug addict..
BowlinBryon
The staff was wonderful, and received excellent care while I was there, while I don’t want to need to stay there again, it’s nice to know if the need arises that I’ll receive great care.
Art Chavez
Have not had any issues. Very happy so far.
Margo Bann
Excellent Great 👍 Doctor's , Nurses ,Volunteers, They all treat you loving kindness, …
Suzanne K
Needed emergency outpatient surgical procedure. Level of care was amazing, will be coming here first for future emergency care.
Kevin Dunn
It took over an hour to get registered which was unusual and then an emergency patient went in for colonoscopy before me which caused an additional 3 hour delay. This was not the fault of the endo staff so I can rate them as a 5 but the overall rating is 3 because of the delays.
Harold Hawken
Best hospital I have ever been associated with. They do things different there!
Petra Connell
My nurses and caregivers were all so compassionate and kind.
Kari Hall
The out patient department and staff were superb. I’m a RN and appreciate their professionalism and care. I will only go to dignity system in PHX area.
william king
All the nurses were extremely nice. Came when I called them for Pain for comfort and any other of my needs.Only issue I had was food was not that great dry, the bed I had was terrible no support had to sleep in the recliner.
Don Blake
Have made several trips to visit family staying here. Latest have been to visit our son and daughter-in-law, and newest grandchild. The Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert facility is top notch and the staff have been great.
Bruce Hayer
Two family members have received medical service here. They received personal attention and the rooms were nice. This hospital would be my choice if I needed it's services.
Michele Camberdella
Mercy Gilbert and Chandler regional.. saves my life not once but twice.. everyone there is amazing..
Billy Crowell
The three nurses that took care of me for 3 days were wonderful. Shout out to Susan, Tonia and Meghan.
Shannon Stevens
I came in on an ambulance having just experienced a gastric tear after gastric bypass surgery. I had to have emergency surgery and was in a lot of pain. I was triaged in the hallway because they had nowhere for me to go. I was quickly taken to surgery then had to wait in recovery until they could get me a room. I got up to my room and went into sepsis. The nurses called in a CRT or critical response team immediately. I had 10-15 nurses who responded immediately. If not for them, I’d be dead. They had no room to move me to ICU because of all the COVID cases so I had an ICU nurse with me. They got me through the worst of it. The nurses were amazing throughout my 9 day stay. Dr. Oomen and Dr. Ramyshama (sp) helped me a lot. I had the best care during my stay and I’m so grateful for the wonderful people who were put into my path and who saved my life. Thank you!!
Alexander Theodore
As a physician I can certainly evaluate my care
I was treated in the emergency room for chest pain and I was cared for immediately and most professionally the appropriate tests were done I had no major issue but they kept me overnight to be sure
Wonderful quality care
Cheryl Baldwin
I have gone to the women's imaging center for years. No waiting time. Always treated with professionalism and all procedure explained well and in advance.

I arrived at the ER at just before 8 am. They were quick in putting me into a room by 8:19 and the Doctors were quick in coming to check me out and determine what tests were needed and provide me with some care. However, around 1 pm I was ushered out into the hallway to wait for a room. I sat there for 7 hours, without any water, or needed IV or medication. I had a high fever, suffered from acute diverticulitis and the only thing that was done they came by twice to check my temperature. It wasn't until I finally got a bed in a makeshift Icu waiting area, that I was provided with water and connected to an IV.
I love Mercy Gilbert and that is why I went there, and I understand there is a shortage of beds, however, when you have someone such as me suffering from a fever and pain, I would have at least expected to receive care while waiting in a lobby for bed.
The after care I am receiving is outstanding and I have no complaints on that end, so that is why I can only give 4 stars.
Andrew Coil
I've had many surgeries over the last 10 years, and in the process, I have obviously had a lot of people to take care of me. This operation was no exception. Thank you to all the nurses, techs, Dr.s, surgeons, receptionists, and anyone else I may not be smart enough to know the important title your names deserve. I am extremely pleased with my care.
Perry Graham
Caring nurses and doctors. 4 stars due to poor food quality
Emma H
My review is exclusively about the birthing center.
Every single person I interacted with was awesome. I gave birth to my first child on Christmas Day at Mercy Gilbert and I could not have asked for a better experience. All of the medical staff was straightforward with me when it came down to making decisions and they were always kind. My husband and best friend got to be active participants by holding my legs and both got to see the baby be born. My son was born without complications, so he never left my room, even for his first bath and all the testing they need to do (foot sticks, jaundice, etc). Even the food was good!
So an extra big thank you to all the staff that spent their Christmas helping me and my husband welcome our baby boy into the world, I could not have done it without you <3
LEVI FRYE
Professional. I go back if in need. Nurses were kind. Happy the doctors were thorough to make sure all health concerns were covered. ER got two thumbs up.
My only concerns is that with a busy hospital I know its hard to accommodate to all patients when needed. Yet, for a week straight it felt very rushed when people came and went. Kind, but hard to get a word in with hospital doctors; ran in, ran out. Definitely think the CNAs should be taking little non-medical needs off the nurses hands to help more often. CNAs were friendly but not around very often and it made me hate calling on nurses/help, which I tried to stay away from doing.
Need to plan schedules with nurses/blood/stats /food together better. I would literally have someone come in every hour from 3am - 9am every day for a week on the hour, every hour. The last 3 days I got 4 hours of sleep in 72+ hours. This can easily be planned were things are taking care of together.
Paula Nichols-Brown
My boyfriend Dave arrived in the ER approximately 1:00 am. He was registered, received vitals and immediately taken back to a room. He was then given an IV with fluids, several blood draws, C-Scan and received a warm blanket. He was monitored for his heart rate and BP as it was high do to pain. The RN, Christopher checked frequently making sure Dave's pain was down from a 10 to a 5. The Physician Katie N. diagnosed Dave with a 2mm kidney stone. He was not rushed to leave at any time do to the stone not passing. He receoved a printout of all of his treatment, his medication was submitted to a 24 hour Pharmacy and a follow up with a Urologist was recommended. Overall this was a great experience under the conditions Dave had experienced. Kudo's to all of the ER for their compassion of care.
Sayda Araujo
Overall great in everything! Drove the hour so my son could be seen because urgent cares could not tell me what was wrong with him. If i could give this er more than 5 stars i would!
brett duncan
I never write reviews, but I have to after the phenomenal care I received from the MGMC staff. I came here with my girlfriend to the ER 4 years ago and vowed never to go back after that experience. Turns out they truly do treat women differently than men in the ER....
I had to have emergency surgery and I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to Deana working the front desk on 7/20/20 at 1030 pm, Mia working the observation room that same night, and Alejandro (Alex) who took care of me the next day 7/21/20. I was never want for anything, and my needs were met with sincere care and empathy. My girlfriend was not able to stay with me or visit due to safety precautions, but they updated her often, and made sure she was able to see me before admittance. They also helped her deliver some heavier blankets to me in my room! It was nice to have something from home. She praised them for their COVID procedures and advised they take temps of everyone and require masks and she said there were many hand sanitizer stations. She said staff walking to another area would stop and help guests in the surgery waiting area even though they looked busy.
During COVID it seems that no one is happy anymore. Nobody cares to spread kindness. That sentiment did not exist at this hospital. I am blown away with the level of care from EXHAUSTED nursing staff and doctors. I hope that Deana, Mia, and Alex see this somehow, so they know how grateful I am for the wonderful treatment I received all throughout this emergency surgery. Wow. Thank you. I hope society can pay you back for your work someday.
Stephanie Rubio
First of all I want to start this review with MGMC is nothing far from the BEST! From the registration, Ro the Nurses, To the Drs, To the anesthesiologist. They where all so nice and kind, I didn't expect the level of care i received December 21, 2021 for my surgery. Nurse Alan, Charmaine & the anesthesiologist & Mr. Dr Devin Gray where OUTSTANDING. I am so pleased and blessed to have received the level of care that I did. I went in so nervous. And by the time Alan checked me into to pre-OP I was no longer nervous. And my anesthesiologist was beyond nice and told me don't worry Stephanie I will take good care of you. I promise! And he did just that. I don't think these nurses, drs, & anesthesiologists receive enough credit for what they do each day. And ESPECIALLY now with this COVID-19 and all the new variants that has come along with it. So I want to THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR WHAT YOU DO. ❤🙏🏼
Tom Kimmerle
Great staff and nurses. I was treated very well.
Oscar Ortega
Staff was very good in their care for me.... thank you all....
God bless you 🙏 …
Lillian Nicholas
Everyone from the registration desk to the discharging nurse were awesome, especially the surgery nurses. Everyone made my nervous experience a calming helpful experience. Great hospital, doctors and staff.
Michael Houser
I was admitted to the emergency room for possible heart issues. I received outstanding care by the physicians and nursing staff. I feel very blessed that I was able to have been in Gilbert and having access to Mercy Gilbert Medical Center at such a major time of need. ❤️
Lad
I was there back 2017 and my wife just had colon cancer surgery there the 18th of this month. The Dr's, nurses, and staff on floor 4B, all had to have been born in Heaven. These people are the best!!!
I highly recommend Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Dale Crandall
Mercy Gilbert, and it's doctors, nurses, and all other related staff took good care of me when I broke my leg and had metal plates attached to my fibula. They frequently checked on me and my pain and comfort levels.
Joni Clarke
I was there today for an outpatient surgery. I received a call a week ago to go over my medical history and any questions. That person was very nice. When I arrived today, I registered and was called back by a very kind nurse (Tara) and also my pre op nurse Juli. Both ladies were helpful, patient, comforting and good at their jobs. Juli kept me giggling while she started my IV and asked me the typical questions. She had a great sense of humor. I was visited by Dr Price my anesthesiologist and Dr Vazquez my surgeon and had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss anything. Then my OR nurse Pauline who was just one more very pleasant and comforting person introduced herself and explained about giving me some medication to relax and moving to the operating room. They were also all very kind and accommodating to my husband through the whole process. When I woke up my husband was by my side and they had already briefed him on all the discharge instructions. I don’t remember my post op nurses name due to the drugs but she was pleasant. I guess they were really busy/full and I felt rushed to get out and go home but that didn’t change my positive opinion of my experience. I was a bit worried after reading other reviews on MGMC but the bad ones seemed to be about the Emergency room staff and doctors. My experience was great and I would have no reservations about going there again.
Jan Orobode
I went in with the idea that I would have to spend hours in the waiting room, but I was lucky they got me right in! I was having some issues with my heart..they took me immediately to get started with a EKG and blood work.. Every single nurse that was there was the most considerate and went beyond to keep me comfortable and informed.
With the long hours these doctors and nurses work im grateful for them.❤
Dan Carrasco
Staff who administerd test was courteous and professional. Appointment was on time and would return without hesitation.
Linda Hughes
Everyone at Mercy Gilbert was professional yet made me feel very comfortable.
Debbi Rhodes
Professional..caring..efficient
All the important factors you hope for when you are forced to make an ER visit.

I love this place! Every medical staff I had to speak with took really good care of me and they are so kind. It’s like they are truly happy to see you.
Maria Alvarado
I went in for a serious loss of blood due to a miscarriage and was seen in a very decent amount of time. I was taken care of by the docs and nurses. Everything was explained and made clear as to what was happening. I ended up having to have a minor surgery and have to say I was pleased with the process and results. Very professional and kind staff. Thank you for taking good care of me and for comforting us during such a hard time.
Maureen Hughes
The Womens Imaging Center is outstanding for my annual mammogram. It was done quickly and professionally. I received a letter with my results in a few days.
Charile Hrvatin
I hesitate to give high praise only because I’d like to keep it my secret but my experience at Mercy Gilbert was excellent. ER intake was reasonable and I felt safe in the waiting room even with COVID concerns. The staff were attentive and personable. I felt through my stay and procedures that I was in good hands.
2gtt
Had a 911 relapse, and was treated effectively and fairly quickly. Very very helpful staff, and I was told by a lot of people this is a great place and better than most
Dave Erickson
Very Professional, friendly , and understanding of my situation. Blessings to all of the staff. Thank you!🙂 …
Jeanne Bentley
I had to get some testing done at the inpatient facility. This place was efficient and everyone was so friendly. The area I was in for my tests had "regulars" that would come in for various reasons. The nurses greeted them by name, spent time catching up on what had happened since they were in last and listened to their stories. It was so heartwarming to see the love and care shown. It made my hours there fly by. Thank you to all that assisted me today, you were all amazing and I appreciate you!
Ken Kane
Entered hospital via the ER in renal failure. I found the medical care to be great. Staff were all extremely nice, professional and caring. Hated the need to be there but was pleased with everything. K
Stephanie Lawler
Great hospital with great care!! They were very attentive with our 9 year old daughter and completely on board about not doing any unnecessary testing. Thank you for a good experience and explaining everything to her so she wasn’t scared.
Rosetta Jackson
My first time as a patient there , it was a pleasant experience.
Debi Buskohl
Mercy Gilbert has always been my number one choice. I just feel a staff has Treated me with respect. So much better than their competitor
Raymond Ortiz JR
We had our son here. The staff is so amazing. They go above and beyond to make you and your family feel at home. We stayed 3 days. The nurses are so sweet you would think they are family. Best hospital ever.
JoAnn Naples
Had emergency surgery while vacationing in Phoenix (Gilbert). As a former ER nurse, I was terrified to go to a hospital I knew nothing about and surgeons I did not know.
Every staff member I came in contact with were professional and wonderful to me. The surgeon was fantastic. Thank you to each and everyone of you!
Natasha H.
Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I experienced minimal wait time.
David Dowler
Totally amazing staff and facility.Wish I could give them 10 stars!!
Kelly Mangan

Kristine Pico
The appointment was efficient and quick. I didn’t have to wait and the process was smooth. The staff was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend!
Maggie Shenker
I gave birth here recently and the entire family birthing center floor has been nothing short of amazing. Every single nurse I've had, from those with me while having my child, to those I had post partum, have all been so caring and sweet.
With having my child in the nursery, every nurse in there was absolutely amazing. They also were extremely caring, and very on top if everything, which can be hard at times dealing with newborns. They all treated my child, my husband and myself with so much kindness. I cant thank every nurse my child and I had enough!
I absolutely would give birth here again!
staci anderson
I really like the hospital as a whole with the exception of the young lady taking covid symptoms when you walk through the main entrance. I don't know if she was just having a bad day the day I was there but she wouldn't smile to save her soul. And I know she knows where outpatient services is, she sent me left instead of right, thank God I saw it from the parking lot and I'm not directionally challenged. But otherwise everything and everyone was fabulous
Roger Juhl
Scheduled for 0730 knee surgery today. Had to be cancelled due to a blood issue. The staff that were prepping me were fantastic. Lori & Anita, "the fun nurses"! Thank you for making it a pleasant experience. I think they were more upset than I was when the surgery was cancelled for today. Hopefully they will help me again when I get to reschedule! What a great experience!
Joey Sanford
Was in and out in 3 hours for a dislocated ankle. From the front desk to the nurses and Doctor everybody was great. Thank you for your urgency in getting the pain to a manageable situation.
Teri Frost
Impressively fast. ER visits were 60 min on average for many patients on Labor Day/weekend.
BROOKS SCOFIELD
Been here for 2 outpatient surgeries and one er visit for dehydration during the height of covid. Excellent care. Gental nursing ❤.
I stayed in outpatient because my doc is afraid of covid. My last visit was 5/14. Everything was explained to my satisfaction
My nurse even dressed me on this last visit while my hubby brought the car around. He remarked that the cafeteria served an excellent breakfast so he could stay in the hospital while I was in surgery. My primary care doc sent me to the ER to treat dehydration from spoiled food and because I am also a cancer patient on chemo they put me in a room with self contained air so I wouldn't be exposed to covid. I would recommend Mercy anytime. There Ck in is both smooth and fast compared to some hospitals. If your visit is planned you will be tested for covid. Ever time a new baby is born a melody is played throughout the hospital. Soo cool! Pre op lab work was fast too.
Vanessa C
I absolutely love this hospital! I had both of my children at Mercy Gilbert and my experience was excellent. I was always treated well by the nurses many where very compassionate and on top of things. The room was very comfortable and spacious I was able to have my family and visitors fit comfortably.Even the food was great! I would recommend Mercy Gilbert to anyone. It does cost a little more than the Banner chain hospitals according to friends but well worth it. Not quite a Mayo but I also loved the upscale feel and it was very easy to get a priest to bless the pregnancy before I had my c-section surgery.
erika hall
Staff and everyone was very nice and the procedure was as comfortable as possible. It took a few tries to start the IV from the younger staff (possibly students) which sucked but the other nurse got it done quick and painless.
Lori & Dain Patterson
The check in process was quick and the staff was very attentive during my unexpected ER visit. The check out process was fairly long, but that is to be expected.
Gerardo Carvajal
My wife and I decided that this would be the Hospital where our child would be born and I honestly feel we could not made a better choice. The staff was amazing every step of the way especially helping out first time parents dealing with everything we did not know was coming. From the amazing delivery nurses and doctor to the nurses that assisted my wife in her recovery. I can only hope that we will be lucky enough to have our future children delivered by the great people of dignity health.
Rosa Teran
The people involved with my treatment were absolutely professional at their best. I loved the x-Ray lady she was so attentive to me needing a blanket because I was cold. Loved her.
shane sargent
had the best visit of my life.. they saved it!
i had to self discharge from a different hospital, that after 2 days, and several issues, told me they couldn't treat me.
i arrived at mercy Gilbert on Saturday informing the ED check in/ triage that i need to be admitted to their hospital because i had a blood cpk count of 21000.
they took my information and took me back quick, immediately took blood tests and found a bed to admit me to.
they informed me the previous hospital had nearly let me die and go into kidney shutdown. had i not left to come here.
ALL of the staff at mercy Gilbert are AMAZING. they put me on the right treatment plan, and were very communicative with me the whole time.
all my numbers are in reasonable levels, and i just got discharged.
THANK YOU EVERYONE AT MERCY GILBERT.
jerry Brawn
Very friendly and professional hospital … hope I don’t need to go to a hospital but if I do I hope I end up at this one !!
Heather Nofftz
Mercy Gilbert Medical Center was so helpful in my husband's surgery. They were very informative and moved along with the surgery in a timely manner. The contact they made before and after the surgery was great. Thank You for helping my family with a successful surgery!
Charles
The Mercy Gilbert Medical Center has a very nice facility. The grounds are well kept and clean on the outside. On the inside the hospital is well-maintained and everything looks sterile. The staff is also courteous and professional. Although there was one challenging employee, it doesn’t take away from all the other amazing team members. Overall, everyone was helpful and provided lots of information and assistance. Hope you have the same experience!
Claudia Ortiz
I receive an infusion at Mercy Gilbert's ATU every month, and I have been doing this for several years now. I would not go anywhere else to do this. The staff is phenomenal! The nurses go the extra mile to make sure all goes well, and the staff in registration do their best to make it a speedy process. They are truly patient advocates.
Julie
They were really busy, but I feel they took there time with every patient, They used every safety measure to protect the patients from the coronavirus. I even had x-rays and all the staff was friendly caring I am a high risk patient and they were awesome about protecting me. I would recommend this hospital to all my family and friends .
ghislaine gilbert
I read the reviews on this place before going and have to disagree with some of them. Now I haven't dealt with billing so my review is based solely on my experience. I had to bring my daughter there on Sunday March 8th. Due to stomach flu she had been unable to keep any fluids down including water. We arrived at 10:00 a.m. to the emergency room and were able to speak with the lady behind the counter right away and get situated. Within 3 minutes we were in the back getting my daughter's vitals taken. The nurse who was taking my daughter's vitals was amazing and made her feel completely at ease, he then took us to a bed in the ER where everyone else nurses and doctors were very attentive to what was going on. We spent a total of 3 hours there where they were able to get my daughter the fluids she needed, and discharge us all the while with her never once feeling scared or intimidated. Hopefully we never need to but if it does arise we will most likely come back here.
Sherri Feldkamp
Everyone was so nice and genuinely concerned about the patient.
Mary Foley
I was treated very well, compassion and respect. With the compassion came caring, which was important for me at that time.
Daniel Scott
I had an excellent experience having my surgery here. The nurses were very friendly and comforting. They even put on my favorite music before putting me to sleep. Haha my wife had my son here as well. I've had very poor experience in the emergency room.

I have unfortunately had to be hospitalized there more than once, I have had major surgery there a lumpectomy about seven years ago which ended up being lymphoma cancer fortunately the operation was a success and my follow-up was even better I am still here today to write this review. In late 2017, i was told by a different hospital and their professionals, which they called doctors, that I would not live past the next two or three months that was October 2017. Of course they fly a different (" Banner "), but less not mention any other Hospitals name. Then I was discharged, good luck, and goodbye is what I was told, with no follow-up, no medication, no portable defibrillator, no anything, just that I had congestive heart failure and i was operating on less than 10 to 15%. Wow, so after discharge I decided to take myself to Mercy Gilbert again, thank God that i did and I am still here today one year and 4 months later and still feeling healthy and fine. The staff was very soothing and comfortable and carrying they made you like everything was going to be okay, just as it was and I AM still is. I personally will not go to any other the hospital in this area other than Mercy Gilbert it is a wonderful wonderful Hospital their personal and professional staff are friendly helpful and courteous and with all intent and purpose, they definitely do care about your recovery and comfort. WAY TO GO, MERCY GILBERT, GREAT JOB. I would and I do recommend Mercy Gilbert Hospital to everyone I meet, that needs medical attention and I will continue to do so. THANK YOU FOR ALL, THAT YOU DO FOR YOUR PATIENTS.

It took a long time to schedule, but all went well on the day of procedures.

Escorted a family member to the ER here. They were quick to get her into the back. The nurse was kind and very helpful. The doctor was thorough, kind & answered all questions completely & courteously. It did take awhile to get taken back for the necessary CT scan but the nurse checked in regularly during the wait to make sure all was good. Once the results of scan were back & the doctor had came back to explain findings, it did not take long for the discharge paperwork to be completed so we could get out & back home. As far as ER's go I would recommend Mercy Gilbert.

Overall, I really like this hospital. The hospital itself is great! However, I had a bad experience with one of the doctors. I went after a horrible car accident and needed stitches. The EMT, nurses and some doctors were very friendly but the doctor who gave me stitches was very rude and made unnecessary comments. She told me that she was using dissolvable stitches but fast forward three weeks later and the stitches had not dissolved. So I went to a oral surgeon, he said they were not dissolvable and had them removed. I am not sure if she was mistaken about the stitches or what but... Anyway! The hospital staff was very friendly for the most part. I am sure I just caught the doctor on a bad night.

Mercy Gilbert is my choice for emergency care. My two-times experience has been good; quick check-in, triage, and testing. Thankful not to have to stay overnight, but if I did, this would be my choice.

We've had two of our three babies here, and each time has been great. Nurses are friendly and considerate. If they see you and your baby are asleep, they'll come back later to do what they need to do. The hospital's maternity is all about doing things naturally, this was a big draw for my wife and I. I wouldn't recommend another place, excellent hospital.

I've been to the emergency department 4 or 5 times and each time the staff was so supportive and helpful. All of the times I've been there except once they took me back within a few minutes. The last time I went I had a miscarriage in the hospital and this is the part about my experience there that I feel makes them deserve a 5 star rating... So they used to be a Catholic hospital and even though they are not officially affiliated with the Catholic church anymore the vibe and some of the practices are still there from the days when they WERE a Catholic hospital. One of the procedures or practices they still have is that they treat any miscarried baby - no matter the gestation - as a person. This is not always the case at every hospital. Some people just don't know what to think about babies who are born too soon - but Mercy Gilbert hospital treated my baby born at 12 weeks gestation with all the respect and gentleness that they would treat a full term baby with. They brought a councilor in to talk to me who cried with compassion for me. They also have a connection with Queen of Heaven Cemetery and the hospital will keep and preserve your baby's body for 3 months while you make arrangements with the cemetery for your baby's burial - all of this is completely free and optional. They hospital employees and doctors were very clear that everything was up to me - but that I had those services available if I wanted them. All the services the cemetery provides is also free. It means a lot to me that my baby was treated like a person and as a grieving mother it helped a lot to know that they care. They also gave me a really beautiful box of memory things to take home in honor of my baby. I recommend this hospital to anyone - they have a firm grasp on the value of life.

If I could rate this hospital higher I would . This is going to be towards the labor and delivery floor . I had my daughter there in 2016 and had the most amazing Experience ! And this past Wednesday morning 6/24/20 I now gave birth to my twins at the same hospital because of how amazing the first time was .
And this time it’s even better . You truly cannot ask for a better staff of caring nurses !!
I would highly recommend this hospital for having your babies at ! You and your little loves will be in the BEST hands .
Any of my future children will likely be born here because this hospital has just sealed me in for life !!!
Thank you mercy Gilbert labor and delivery staff for everything !!

I went to the E.R. for an ectopic pregnancy. I was rushed back immediately (I appreciated the haste). The staff in admitting were very kind to me and patient. Ryan, my nurse was top notch. I was scheduled for surgery a few hours later. I'm not going to lie, I've heard some bad things about the OB at the hospital and was pretty nervous. Ryan made sure I was comfortable and checked on me frequently. I then had an ultrasound and we were off to the races. The first doctor that I met with made me nervous but then I met the OR doctor, Dr. Guzman. 1st of all, the ENTIRE OR staff was incredible (I'm sorry I don't remember your names). They were caring, soothing, and so very accommodating. They were patient and I could tell that they genuinely felt sympathy for what was happening to me. Dr. Guzman took his time to explain everything to me. I have worked for many different doctors in my career field and know that this is so rare. I instantly felt safe in his care. I could tell that he really cares for his patients, has a passion for what he does and likes to research. The anesthesiologist was also very friendly. This was one of the worst days of my life but these people (who didn't have to give a hoot about me) truly cared. Thank your all so much!!

I gave birth at this facility in 2014, To all of the staff, doctors, nurses, pediatrician, anesthesiologist, custodians, including the employees who supplied my meals and took away the trays, they were all nice. The room I was assigned to was clean. When I called the billing department after a month or so, they answered all my questions and were very courteous.

I visited the emergency room on the evening of Thanksgiving with what turned out to be kidney stones. I was in a lot of pain, they admitted me quickly and addressed the pain first. All of the staff, nurses and doctors seemed to genuinely care and I felt at ease knowing I was in good hands. They explained everything thoroughly and made sure I was well informed of my diagnosis and provided me with everything I need to deal with it. Aside from the fact that I was in an emergency room, they made it a less stressful and painful experience.
