Went there for preop medical clearance. My name was misspelled in my electronic record. I asked the check in clerk to correct it. She spent 29 minutes and still got it wrong. I was easily fixed by the v who checked me in for lab. Everything else was fine including a very attentive excellent physician.

This was my first time meeting with Dr. Plost - he was very nice...we established care and he allowed me time to ask him questions that I needed to, the appointment felt a little rushed, but hopefully next time its more smooth and not as fast-paced.

This is the nicest healthcare facility I’ve ever visited! It’s located across the street from the Ochsner main campus. There is plenty of surface parking available, so you don’t have to worry about navigating a parking garage (like at the main campus). I scheduled a couple of vaccine appointments here and was in and out in no time. Inside there are various lobby areas, all with plenty of seating. The environment overall was very tranquil! I’ve often overlooked this location, but now it will be at the top of my list for making routine appointments.

Went in to the new Ochsner Primary Care and Wellness building across the street from the main campus of the big Ochsner. It’s a cute mini version of a small clinic. Nice and clean. Covid protocols are being followed. Everyone very friendly and professional. I went in for my yearly eye exam to see Dr. McGee. I first saw her assistant Brandy who was very sweet and performed a series of test to check my vision. Then my visit was followed my Dr. McGee who was very attentive and thoroughly addressed my issues and concerns about Diabetic Retinopathy, and other diabetic related health concerns since it runs in my family. She was extremely knowledgeable. Did not make me feel rushed at all, answered all of my questions, and made me feel at ease. I left my appointment feeling so much better, and equipped with new knowledge. . She was a breath of fresh air. How I wish more doctors were like her. I was truly impressed by her professionalism, her care towards me as her patient and overall concerns for my well-being as a whole individual. I completely do advice every one to go see her for your specialize eye needs and/or yearly eye exams!

The staff here are always courteous. Dr. Leslie Blake takes the time to listen to your symptoms and is wonderful at seeing the overall picture. She suggests treatments, but also gives multiple options for you to choose. I have also seen other Nurse Practitioners here that were amazing. I highly suggest this facility for primary care.

The Ochsner Care and Wellness Center was easy to find. They knew when I arrived and the staff at the windows were helpful in letting me know where I needed to be at. The nurse giving the shot was helpful and explained after care and any adverse effects to be aware of. We were instructed to wait 15 minutes to make sure there were no reactions. This was my 1st time to this particular location and I would definitely use them again.

My doctor listened so carefully. I felt she was really in tune with me and took out lots of time and care to my specific individual needs. I really felt like a much valued and cared for patient. She went above and beyond to be sure I felt safe and taken care of. She really is a amazing doctor!! Thank you, Jenny! Also, ALL of the nurses were such a joy to be around. They really made my day! They all had such playful and kind personalities and makes the hospital an inviting place to be. They take the extra time to show that they care about each person in a special way. They made a couple jokes to make me laugh and smile which also made the experience fun. My doctor and the nurses handled and helped me get all my future appointments scheduled with me to make it all organized and an easy flowing process. They wore masks and had a mandatory mask desk for safety where they also supplied masks for guests. I’m a happy patient with Oschner!

I'm very fortunate to be able to have a medical team that treats me as a person and not a bundle of separate symptoms. I have been able to see my PCP in a timely manner. Everyone involved in professional and courteous. Environment is clean and I at least feel safe that they are doing well in keeping it safe from Covid-19 contamination.

I love Dr Fernandez and her team.She listens and never makes me feel rushed. She knows that I sometimes forget or push off prevenative care with my other providers and schedules the appointments right away, if necessary, to secure me taking care of my health. The entire experience was exceptional, from initial screening to being given the precise time to leave after inoculation. There were several staff members to direct me to the vaccine site. There was no waiting line. The person who gave me the vaccine answered my questions and gave me written information about what to expect. Upon exiting the vaccine room, I was politely told the precise time to leave after my waiting period. I’ve been an Ochsner patient for many years and have had excellent service always. This was my first visit here and I was very pleased. Dr. Alghamdi went over my chart then asked what symptoms I was experiencing. He then went over possible exercises and gave me a prescription that would help lessen the pain. He also printed out the exercise description. He was very courteous and took an interest in finding out my overall health. I would recommend Ochsner Primary Care and this Doctor.

This was my first experience with a doctor outside of the VA or military since 2006. I had forgotten what it was like to walk into an office where the people there actually cared. Usually even if I'm 20 minutes early for an appointment I wait at least an hour, with these guys I was actually seen 10minutes prior to my appointment time (this was an absolute first for me). They made sure that I didn't have any questions when I left and in case I had some after they gave me multiple ways to contact them. I can't say enough good about these folks! I will definitely be keeping these folks in my life.

I want to thank Dr Ted Baker for his patience and tremendous concern for me on yesterday. He was not afraid to touch me, as I had experienced before while in the ER. He was a breath of fresh air!!! He really topped it all by taking the steps in speaking to my primary care doctor, Dr. Faye St John (best doctor one can have) I don't believe it was intentional, but divine that Dr St John ran across his path. Anyway with the both of them caring for me, I felt so special!!! Spent quite a bit of time in the examination room but Dr Baker periodically kept me informed of what was happening. I pray for both of their safety and continued service to the Oschner Community, a long with all the other doctors, nurses and other health cate workers!!!!! I would see Dr. Baker again!!!!!

Ochsner needs to be complimented for its super-organized, smooth running operation on giving the Pfizer vaccine to its elderly patients. My husband and I were among the lucky ones to get appointments for our 2 shots and both times it was an amazing, orderly quick on the button operation. Great parking, friendly and helpful employees and volunteers made it a pleasant 1/2 hour experience.

I will have to say that being at Ochsner Center, it was the best experience I have ever had! I do not have much trust in doctor's as the ones I have dealt with in the past never seem to want to help me with my issues and just send me on my way and prescribe medicine every time. With me being a new patient and seeing Dr. Bell put my faith in doctor's again. He did a wonderful job in making sure we covered everything I need to discuss about my health and did not just send me home with prescriptions to fix the issues I discussed. The staff from the Check In Staff, Medical Assistant(s), Nurse(s), Check Out Staff also there is a Pharmacy inside this location. The pharmacy does an awesome job when you need extra approval for medication(s).

Went to this site today for the advertised drive-thru Covid testing from 2-5pm. I got there at 1:50pm. After waiting 6 hours in the car and progressing to about #20 in line, a security guard came to inform me and everyone behind me that they had run out of tests. Six hours of waiting in line just disappeared like that, for me and at least dozens of cars behind me. I don't fault them for running out of tests. Running out of tests is completely understandable -- we all know the high demand for them right now, and running out is no crime. But, I believe that an organization as powerful and "gold standard" as Ochsner is capable of better inventory tracking and communication to the waiting patients. Many of them are sitting in their cars with a yet-to-be-detected Covid wreaking havoc on their system. They need to be informed ASAP of inventory issues so they can make a risk assessment and potentially seek a test or treatment elsewhere. I feel like Ochsner is capable of this. While this is certainly an unpredictable and stressful situation for all of us, it is no small matter to mess with THAT much of THAT many individuals' time. We all deserve some mercy and patience right now...that includes the medical workers, but I think this is something Ochsner can do better. Especially when the solution seems pretty trivial, requiring only a gatekeeper, a radio to home base, and (maybe) a calculator. No data scientists, statisticians, or programmers required. Take a lesson from Chick-fil-A. They are masters of handling a line. And chicken is far less important than this. [update 12/29] Upgraded to 3. Had a much more positive experience there today. As with yesterday, the regularly scheduled drive-thru testing was 2-5pm. However, several people showed up at the crack of dawn (myself being one) as we were directed to by a security guard yesterday. Despite this being much earlier than the publicly posted times of 2-5pm, Ochsner was fair and they adapted to the situation. They got the testing up and running by 1030am, and I quickly got tested with no problems. Ochsner does make an effort to serve its patients, and correct its mistakes. They deserve credit for that. Virtually every other experience I've had with them has been positive. And I'm grateful that they are even supplying tests.

In my opinion, Dr Cazabon and nurse Linda are among the finest examples that Ochsner has in their system. They treat their patients as they were old friends. Whenever I come in I look forward to Linda's smile as she makes me feel like a guest in her home. Seeing them is a large part of my healing process when I'm not feeling well.

For both my first and second Covid vaccinations I was in and out of the primary care facility in 25 minutes. And the last 15 minutes were spent sitting after the shot. There were numerous staff working: from the beginning to where I had my temperature taken I was directed to the check in, then to the waiting line which moved quickly, then to the room where I was vaccinated. Only the nurse and an assistant was in the room, no other patients. They were both very friendly. When I left the room I was directed to a chair which had been sanitized by one of the staff. There was help everywhere I looked. The number of people was quite large so it had to be planned efficiently and it was. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Had a problem checking in on 6/7/21 when I came in for blood work. Had the same problem checking in on 6/14/21 for my Dr's appointment. Each time I stood and waited for over 5 minutes to be checked in. I was told it was something to do with my Blue Cross Ins. Before this I always had a smooth check-in.

The atmosphere was positive and calm, as each person performed a role in the process of getting us in and out efficiently and with minimal proximity. I feel confident that I was not in danger of COVID exposure, even with so many people visible. The waiting area was filled with chairs properly distanced. Personnel moved about keeping a watchful eye on patients. We were all properly distanced and well cared for. Thanks.

Ochsner has the appointment system figured out! Checked in for my appointment 15 minutes early, was called in to a room 5 minutes early, saw the nurse immediately and then the doctor walked in 5 minutes later. Walked across the hall and then they did blood tests after just another 5 minute wait. In and out in 45 minutes. I remember when this all would be a half day ordeal. And the best GP I’ve ever had.

Ochsner has really thought of the patient during the pandemic. Patients can check in remotely in the car! My most recent visit was great. I had a 30 second wait time and once brought in I went straight in to the doctor! Even when I do wait, the service is wonderful. The doctors REALLY listen to you and do their best to determine the cause of every ailment and treat them or recommend some type of solution. I highly recommend Ochsner and their team of doctors as part of your healthcare!

Have gone to Ochsner for health care since I was a teenager. Love my primary care doctor and the care I receive. Contacted my PCP over the portal late afternoon and was seen the next day at 2:00 pm and before I left the building I had blood test, x-ray and urinalysis done. Have always received excellent care , love the Wellness Clinic, so convenient and great health care.

In my experience I actually would give a 5 star rating for the quality of care given. My biggest concern is that the Doctors do not accept new patients which causes a Huge problem when people move to different areas. This is where they are failing miserably. Come on Ochsner, you can do better for your patience.

We've been going to Ochsner for all of our lives and at one point I was very unhappy with everything about the place but I do have to say since covid started we couldn't be more pleased with all the changes they have made. I feel safe and more important I feel like my mother is safe also. The addition of the portal is even more amazing! If you have a problem and you write to one of your doctors they answer your questions right away. If you need to see a doctor they make an appointment for you in minutes. Bravo!! We won't ever go anywhere else.

I arrived at 810am for an 830am appointment. I was checked in immediately by the receptionist. I waited less than 2 minutes in the waiting area before I got called to the back. After the nurse took my weight and vitals, the doctor came in at exactly 830am. I spent 20 minutes with the doctor and then it took less than 10 minutes to schedule future labs and appointments. I was out by 900am. The doctor visit was very thorough. We went over all meds and all of the blood work results. We looked at where I was compared to where I am now. We talked about future goals. The doctor answered all of my questions and allowed me to speak and listened when I spoke. A great visit.

Yesterday my doctor ordered a covid swab. The drive through option is very convenient. Everyone was wearing a mask and I felt safe. Have been an Ochsner patient since early 70's. With the exception of 3 times I give Ochsner an outstanding review. Have met my needs vast majority of the time. Staff is nice and eager to help. The difference in the atmosphere, scheduling, interactions with all personnel has improved tremendously over what it was in the earlier years. I highly recommend not only the Primary Care and Wellnesss Center but other departments at Ochsner.

I was impressed with the asthetics of the hospital and quick service but I went in for an injured knee and the Nurse practitioner didn't do any test on it, never even touched it. I have waited over a week to hear about my X-rays. It was like they just wanted to fill out their question checklist and ship me out. My Primary Dr. Kim Nuyen I had a lab work 1st than my Primary Dr. 2nd. While telling my Dr. all the symptoms I had she said I know you just did lab work so I will send you back to get another blood and urine lab done. I was at the Primary Care and Wellness dept to see my PC Dr. Gloria Leary, following a hospital ED visit right at Easter. As always, it is the most stressless peaceful environment - all staffers, from the minute you walk in, are there to help you get where you need to be. Very quick registration. You can even do it online at My Ochsner the day before. There are not enough wonderful adjectives to describe Dr Leary, she's been taking care of me since 2005 and I feel like family. She listens, she addresses each concern, she is amazing. In 2005 I really felt like I was circling the drain, I was so chronically I'll but she never gave up on me. I'm still here, a great part of that due to her. She's an angel in disguise. Her staff are all efficient, pleasant, and quick to address any concerns that come up.

Went for a routine, annual wellness check-up a few days ago. I had completed the pre-visit questionnaire online, and simply walked up to the kiosk to check in. The Wellness Center on Jefferson Hwy is very comfortable and aesthetically soothing. I never mind sitting there to relax awhile. But I didn't have to wait long. Within 10 minutes, my name was called and the visit commenced. Ten minutes or so with the PA for vital signs. Then my doctor came in very shortly afterward. Dr. Braaten is always very patient, attentive and thorough. She recommended that I have two tests done, which were set up immediately, and the process was basically in and out. No one enjoys a visit to see a doctor for any reason, but Ochsner makes it as simple and convenient as possible.

HIPPA is not adhered to. You have to give out your personal information at least twice and usually 3 times VERY LOUDLY and it can be heard for quite a distance by anyone and everyone. On 1/7/21 I received my first COVID-19 vaccine .The entire procedure was extremely simple ,from logging onto my ochsner portal selecting a date and site available. Once in th parking lot I was alerted on my phone to enter th building and proceed thru th face identification/tenp check .The pathway toward th vaccination area was plainly marked with safety precautions observed. I received information on th vaccine and a vaccine registration card. My Primary Care Physician, Dr. James Stoll, is awesome. He makes you feel like you're the only patient in his practice - he takes his time and checks everything thoroughly. I can't say enough about what a fantastic doctor he is. Also, the MyOchsner app is so absurdly simple to use, you can schedule an appointment, read all of your lab results, communicate with your care providers through direct messaging. Finally, being seen by your doctor who schedules lab work, then walking across the hall and having the lab work done right then is awesome.

For years Oschner has taken care of my needs. Even when I lived away from New Orleans, an after trying local health facilities, I found myself traveling back to receive care. And believe it or not, I recently hired on at a company in Houston, was found during hiring medical exam. My BP was extremely high, instinct kicked in, I immediately drove 6hrs. Arrived at main campus Er on Jefferson Hwy. And in less than 2hrs, received what was equivalent to a complete physical, blood work included. Medication modified, problem fixed. Drove back next morning, passed exam, was hired. That experience was like a Nascar pit crew. Oschner's really got it going on.
