Spent 27 days there. It was worth it. Recovery is tough, but I've got to apply myself. The staff's unbelievably tenacious investigating led to a diagnosis which produced stunning results. I herd the term "Lucky"thrown around. The art on the walls is fun to see when you are walking laps on your floor as you recover. The pavilion plaza structure is twisty and plays with the sunlight. You do need to ask Dr's permission to go there. Pneumatic tubes that may be in use can deliver canisters of assorted colors to destination unknown. The view from my room at the West Tower 5th fl. An empty hall at night.

This is Beautiful imagines of the campus that’s home to the “Cider-Sinai Medical Center”. This hospital is amazing and very advanced when it comes to Medicine, Technology & Knowledge! As far a your medical records is concerned you have 2 options to choose from. You can choose option 1: “MyChart App” to login or create an account or you can go with option 2: “My CS-Link App” both options allow you to see test results the moment your doctor sees them. Sometimes even sooner if your doctor is busy with other patients. I took some pictures for you guys! The Vending Machines allows you to load money on your phone to make payments, For this a account with PayRange is necessary. My stay at Cedars Sinai last week couldn’t have gone any better and the nurses there were very nice. My nurse whose name is Jackie was one of the most kindest nurses that I have ever met and she was my night nurse for most of the days that I spent there. The service and quality that the nurses provide there was top notch and that it was excellent that they knew about my disabilities along with my epilepsy condition.

My boyfriend is part of a clinical trial here and we are extremelly grateful for it. We are from Europe and everyone in the hospital welcomed us and supported us since the beginning. They explained everything throughly and encouraged us to ask questions. It’s obvious that they put people first, money second. I was worried that our treatment would be difficult since we don’t have American insurance, but everyone struggled to make our experience as smooth as possible and they helped us greatly. All they did was to think what the best solution for my boyfriend would be and got tumor boards to discuss his case as well. The hospital is so clean and the nurses so nice. The digital platform is great and also they are very responsive by phone and email for all questions and especially for emergencies. We are shocked at how amazing the treatment here can be. There’s a huge difference when compared to what we encountered in Europe.

In addition to receiving excellent on-going health care through regular visits, I wish to document the excellent experiences and outcomes I had at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center under the care of my urologist, and surgeon, David Y. Josephson, MD. Prior to a day-surgery procedure, I communicated pre-surgery concerns to Dr. Josephson which he promptly responded to, pledging to address those concerns during surgery. I am extremely pleased with my post-surgical outcomes which include very manageable pain symptoms and an absence of any complications. The pre-and post surgical written and oral instructions provided by Dr. Josephson and his colleagues were very thorough and understandable, giving me great confidence in what to anticipate during and after the process. Day of, everyone I encountered pre-surgery, in the surgery room, and post-surgery provided me with expert care, careful attention, and good humor. Having worked in a teaching hospital, I know how much effort and training is required to ensure that patients have nothing but positive encounters and encouragement at each step of the way. Dr. Josephson and his colleagues are a class act; role models for the delivery of the kind of health care one hopes for. I extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Josephson, and all of his colleagues, for their compassionate and expert care.

Almost lost my leg because of incompetent doctors in the ER. I had MRSA. I went twice, each time they sent me home with crutches and bandages for my leg. No MRI, no bloodwork. Hollywood Presbyterian saved my life as bad of a reputation as it has they had an excellent trauma doctor that just looked at me and knew what was wrong. Don't believe the hype Cedar Sinai is not perfect. They do have some very good doctors at cedars but they're not all good.

My son was being seen by cardiologists from other hospitals, He has a heart condition that a lot of cardiologists do not want to even touch or try to repair it. Eventhough my dad is still in Neuro ICU and critical after days, the staff, doctors, surgeons, nurses, all personnel, security guards and all have been compassionate, thorough, understanding, give time to answer questions and are making aggressive decisions in a healthy recovery and progression. I thank you staff, I see Saperstein nurses back and forth and team communication for patient comfort and recovery on a constant basis. You make a world of difference in nearly tragic situations, I don't see nurses and doctors running around these buildings, I see angels. Thank you many times

Cedars delivered our child in 2021 and provided excellent service. The nurses and doctors are excellent and very friendly. It was during a COVID surge so there was no visiting of family nor friends so the friendliness of the staff was so valuable. Food was OK but it’s a hospital so it was pretty good for that! Very grateful for Cedars making this life changing experience even better!

At CS for the last week off and on for preop, operation and post op care. The reason they aren't getting 5 stars is their food, and pain management team. In patient food is the worst I have ever seen and we have had multiple hospital stays for children and various surgeries. I don't know how you can make chicken noodle soup taste like cardboard, but they did it. When patients need to eat to balance post op medications, having unpalatable food is a problem. At one point my husband just had one roll at a meal because it was the only thing decent (likely purchased and not made on site). The pain management team was also awful. Post back surgery where four discs were cut into, it took over 7 hours for the to show up and address his pain. Then when we left they gave us no pain killers to go home with. We had to wait over the weekend until our surgeon's office reopened to have the called out. Our lives were much better after and he could rest. Our neurosurgeon and his team were wonderful, as were all of the nurses and nursing assistants. We had to come from Dallas for this care because no other surgeon would touch him for fear of detrimental consequences. Great care in general, but obvious issues fro improvement.

Had to have pre surgery labs done here prior to a procedure because I cannot have my phlebotomy done without an ultrasound machine. I also had chest x rays done in addition. Although the request was not routine they were able to understand the orders and what was going on and they were able to perform the tests as requested in a skilled and professional manner. I was in the hospital there for 6 hours, which was a little long but was worth it to complete the surgery which happened just yesterday.

While no hospital visit is perfect, the staff at Cedars saved my kid this week. We went in for appendicitis and quickly learned it was more serious. The ER team was excellent, the nurses, technicians and general staff were all remarkable. We stayed a week and got so see a lot of people and areas- not one single complaint. The art collection is notable and worth visiting if you have time to spend while recovering. If you have a child in the pediatric wing- you’re in amazing hands. Nurses are so amazing and Sandie with child life services is an angel. Start to finish Cedars was incredible and I wholeheartedly recommend going there any time you need care. The wait for the ER is long but worthwhile.

At the end of a 4 day stay after my c section. All the nurses were outstanding! The team in the delivery room couldn’t have been more professional. It’s my first baby and I felt in such safe hands. I love this hospital but the admission process is awful. I was was in and out 3 times on Sunday for my wife's emergency appendicitis. On Monday I was denylied entering because I am not boosted. All signs say "Vaxinated" non of them say "and boosted" There is no law or science to support this .

I had to take my daughter to the ER due to a back injury a couple of days ago. My daughter couldn't even get out of the car without assistance. I have to say that the staff were wonderful! Going to the ER can be a really stressful situation even if it's not you personally that needs help. The staff were so professional and compassionate. The level of care my daughter received was excellent. Hopefully we won't need to go to the hospital again but if given a choice this hosptial is the one I would choose. Can't thank the staff enough!

I just came back from there to see a new doctor. I loved him; he was great. But I was very unhappy with the security there. My husband went to park the car. I went in and saw no one; no one at the front desk and no one to see if I was wearing a mask 😷 or if I had proof of vaccinations, nothing. I felt like I could go in there and do brain surgery and no one would know. On the other hand, when my husband came in, they took his temperature, they gave him a new mask and he had to wear a sticker that said what floor he was going to. Also, I think they should have security at the elevators. Maybe not more than 2 people at a time because you can’t social distance in an elevator. I love Cedars all the time but I was very disappointed today.

They were amazing to my sister she gets very nervous around doctors and they were very patient with her. She had brought her doll in which she takes everywhere with her and they treated her doll as a patient just so my sister would be happy. The wait was a while but it was understandable. Overall great experience.

Dr. Corey Walker is excellent. By far the best specialist I have ever seen. Definitely exceeded the Cedars-Sinai reputation immensely. Very compassionate and really tries to understand your problem and comes up with a good roadmap of options. Makes sure you understand what’s going on. Takes a lot of time with you as well. I am very fortunate to have found a specialist like him.

Cedars has taken for good care of me during my procedures. I had Kidney stones recently and their staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate me. Their Urologist department is top of the line. The care I received from the nurses and doctors made me feel at home during my stay. I highly recommend Dr Benway.

One of if not the best hospital in the Los Angeles area definitely in my top 5 favorite hospitals always treat me with care and respect and the doctors are the same way as well as they should be last time I went there was for my hand which had a fracture in it and now it's healed because they put it into a splint. Highly recommended by me no question about it.

The diagnostics were comprehensive, the doctors responsive (and they listened), and the nursing staff conscientious. In general I felt like I was surrounded by smart people who knew and did their job competently. So grateful I selected there for the medical attention I needed.

Decided just to pop into the ER here during the pandemic for the experience, had nothing to do with the fact that I had probable food poisoning from Go Get em Tiger (GGET). Cedars was top notch best ER experience I’ve had in my life and I love visiting ERs in every city I’ve lived in. Sense of urgency, clean, friendly. Yes, you read correctly, you forget about your being in a hospital when you are dining here as you are healing.

No one can ever tell me this isnt the best hospital ever!!! Been going here for emergencies. PROS: Best Doctors, best practicing doctors kind nurses! Doctors do a complete evaluation of you. Nurses explain and are willing to listen and not brush you off. Once you get a evaluation from them meaning the MRI's or whatever tests the run on you even if you are not admitted there after there findings and are transferred the other hospital has to do what Cedars Sinai recommends otherwise they could be held liable.CONS: Expensive 16k plus whatever the doctor separately charges you, long wait time depending on how crowded it is as well as how severe you are hurt. Make sure you are insured. the best doctors they live up to the expectation. No hospital is perfect but this one is Damn close.

I had a very heartwarming experience with Clinical Partner, Carlos on the 4th floor, South Tower, Oncology floor. I am currently receiving chemotherapy with a steriod that has given me the munchies appetite. The snacks on this floor is not very appetizing for my appetite! There is a cafe name Ray Charles Cafe that is open downstairs! My clinical partner, Carlos took the time to take me down to the cafe. That was very kind of him. He did not have to go over & beyond the call of duty to make sure I received snacks that I could eat! Medical staff like Carlos make you feel so good & full of hope! It is learly after 9pm. I should be sleep! This steriod has me hungry!!! I thank God for allowing him to be my assigned Clinical Partner! Good job Cedar Sinai for hiring such kind & compassionate medical employees that care about their patients! I would recommend this hospital to all my family & friends anytime!!!❤😊

The first time they were good but yesterday they gave bad service. The 1st doctor didn't even want to see me since I have been there before and wanted me to leave asap. The second doctor which was nice the first time on second time didn't even want to give me proper treatment since they already did it the 1st time. Got a call form quality control today 08/18/16 and they stated that they will take care of issue. Raised score based on phone call.

If you have to go to a hospital in LA this is the best one Staff is pretty friendly Heavily guarded They just need alkaline water and cold pressed sugar free coffee and some led lighting and lounge music .. The police are friendly The k9 well trained Nicest emergency room in Los Angeles Except only one guest at a time in the ER... Plastic surgeons on site if you need to be repairs Not a bad place to go after a accident

Not only the hospital is beautiful but superior service and care. You may be lost in the campus if you are new, but there are plenty of volunteers and staffs who are very helpful. All I can say is they specialize in everything only if you let them care for you.

Went to their ER and didn’t had to wait to much. I had bronchitis and the doctors there prescribed me really good medication, I couldn’t sleep with all the coughing, and after one day if taking their prescribed medication the cough was gone almost instantly

Its truly a blessing and I truly believe that the people that were operating on me were dedicated in making sure that they did whatever they had to do to make sure that I stayed ALIVE. I died 2 times before arriving there and even once again after arriving there there and even watched them cut my outfit off from above. Like I literally came out of my own body and was dead and watched them cut my outfit off to find out what they had to do to save my life. I was shot in my chest from about a foot range away with a 40 cal and the bullet actually went in right on my collar none because the guy who was trying to rob me in Beverly Hills was aiming for my head but I jumped back just in time that it hit right where my head just was which was my Collarbone/ (neck/ chest area ) and the bullet actually broke my collar bone right in half and bounced off my shoulder blade and went into my lung and threw my lung and then was lodged in between my lung and back, where they later cut it out. But I now live in Arizona and they have the I hospital here called Banner mesa desert Medical and I went there the other day and after seeing what they operate like I know for sure if I was brought to a hospital like the once out here I would not be alive today. I honestly should not be here today and its a miracle that I am here. And I owe it all to cedars Sinai Emergency/ intensive care unit. So please don't read these people's negative reviews and get the wrong impression because those are mostly older people that don't realize that they are in the biggest hospital in LA that have people coming in there that are literally at risk of losing there lives or limbs so obviously if there are full then u are going to have to wait if there is no room for u and other people are dying. But I promise you that they will definitely be dedicated in making sure that your alive. God bless this hopital I love you guys and owe you everything I own. ( literally half a million dollars what you guys charged my insurance) lol.. But seriously this is one of the best hospitals in the entire US. I wish every hospital had your guys training.

Honestly this hospital is amazing. We went to the emergency room after my boyfriend was experiencing chest pains. They found triponin in his blood and diagnosed him with myopericarditis. When I tell you from the very beginning we were taken care of. They took his blood and ekg and did an ultrasound right in the extra room by the waiting room. So before we even were admitted to a room we already had results rather than waiting hours for a piece of mind. They were incredibly attentive and treated us like absolute royalty. I know you’ll see a few bad reviews but personally, I have nothing bad to say about this place. Not to mention we got a beautiful private room with a shower and amazingly comfortable reclining bed seat for an overnight guest. This place is the real deal. And this is coming from a Boston girl where we have some of the best medical facilities in the world. Unbelievable experience! Thank you Cedars Sinai for the incredible care.

I’ve been a Cedars-Sinai Medical Group patient for 10+ years. I’ve seen different physicians for different specialties and for the most part all of them are great. The electronic medical record system, communication between primary care and specialty care is fluid and effortless, I would say the best I’ve seen from a medical group. I also have their CSLink app that gives me access to my my medical information, letters/referral requests from physicians, direct messaging to your physician or their nurse. It’s so easy and I love it! I went to an MRI appointment yesterday. Once my referral request was approved, I called that evening before the office closed to make an appointment. Luckily they had a last minute cancellation the next morning. The staff were so friendly and great and the MRI service was done with no issues. I’m always pleased with Cedars and their constant patient identification verification. I also work in healthcare and find that being a big issue and it can either be a HIPAA/privacy or patient safety concern. I always get my wristband and identification verbally checked, whether it’s at the Cedars Urgent Care or hospital. I’m super happy with my care and the great staff.

I had a kidney transplant there in 1977. My my daughter was born there; as was my first grandchild. Everyone has always been kind and considerate and knowledgeable. No complaints!! The rooms are large and the views spectacular. The lounges for visitors are very comfortable and the hallways are lined with wonderful art and photographs. The complex just keeps growing and they can accommodate any patient. I love all my doctors, never had a bad nurse or tech and I’ve spent plenty of time there; once, for 3 months. If you or a loved one find yourself there, rest assured you will get the best treatment available, from the ER, to the most complicated surgeries. Also, if you have to be in the hospital, you can't beat their brisket on Friday nights! 🤤👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Had our first child here over the weekend. Very big hospital. Easy to get lost and confused. And super difficult parking at times of day depending on volume of people here. Parking just is not cheap at 10-20 per visit each time you exit. That added up fast. I give the nurses in labor and delivery and post pardom 5 stars obviously our doctor (Praveen Gupata) was amazing. Overall this is a very nice hospital and everyone in the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I felt assured we were in good care the whole time. Very good communication and education. I would first like to start off by stating that I hardly leave reviews, however when it is concerning your health I believe that warrants a review, especially since I was treated with such quality care. I went to the ER and let’s just say, I was not in good shape. I was immediately placed in a room and my team of nurses started prepping me and treating me right away. I really wish I remembered the names of the awesome nurses and the kind and charismatic MRI man who brought me extra blankets because my body thought I was in Antártica. I love how DIVERSE and FRIENDLY the atmosphere was. It was refreshing and made me warm inside (although not warm enough to not need the blankets from MRI guy). I would like to personally shout out my Physician for the ER visit Dr. Stephen Kefalas, not only was he dreamy to look at (like VERY handsome) he was compassionate and genuine. He also allowed my PA to do her thang (I’m sorry I cannot remember your name but you were amazing). I am thankful for the wonderful team of Nurses, Techs and my dreamy Dr. for helping me to feeling better. Merci beaucoup! Gracias! Danke! Obrigado! Thank you! I would like to recommend that the bathrooms get the TLC they deserve.

New Mom - don't have time to elaborate all the details as to how amazing this place is. Bottom line - I highly recommend it as a place to deliver a baby. It's the Strongrooms of hospitals - quality service every step of the way. Every person we came in contact with treated us with such care - it's amazing that insurance pays for this experience. Dr. Bacon Mitchell is amazing too... And the nurses are incredible. The nurses MADE our experience what it was. Marci, the Lactation Consultant, was also amazing. Breast feeding has been one of the most challenging things (far more so than i had expected), and after lots of patience, we finally got it down... now it works like a charm. (Took 6 weeks to get here and lots of pumping in between).I highly recommend CPMC for your delivery hospital. I cannot think of ANYTHING more they could have done to make my experience better. They are TOP NOTCH!

This hospital saved my mom's life! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. She had a severe accident that required multiple surgeries; if they were performed in another hospital she would have not survived the entire ordeal. I asked her how the service was after the accident and she said that the staff was very attentative with her every need at any time. She continues to see some of the doctors outside the hospital at their private offices for some consultations and they still remember her. I don't think that this quality of service is seen anywhere else. It's an unfortunate place to be, but if I wouldn't want to be anywhere else if I were to have a medical complication.

I have a pretty complex medical history. I switched to Cedars Sinai about a year ago from another supposedly top hospital in the area and have never regretted my decision. My doctors at Cedars Sinai treat me with dignity and respect. I am treated as a person, not a number and my visits are not on a timer. My opinions and questions are never treated lightly. Once I was running late (LA traffic) and my doctors office called, making sure I was ok. More recently I was in a serious accident. After seeing my doctor, a couple of days later there was a message on my phone ... it was my doctor just checking up on me making sure I was doing well. How refreshing!

Ok - this is my second update and third review. The first review (bottom paragraph) was 1 star. The second review a 3 star and now a glimmering 5 star review. 3 weeks ago I had an aortic valve replacement, open heart surgery with Dr Trento and his team. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH POSITIVE THINGS about the entire experience. From first visits to follow ups after I've been home this team has been AMAZING. The nurses and staff in the cardiac intensive care and the cardiac unit of Cedars-Sinai exceeded every single expectation. If you or someone you love are faced with the scary reality of open heart surgery you can confidently trust the talent, passion, dedication and caregiving from this fantastic group of professionals. While the previous review is true, since the original post the team has impressed me with making things right. I have an upcoming appointment with another Dr (turns out after thoroughly reviewing my records Dr Makkar was not the right Dr for my particular case) and have changed the review from a 1 to a 3 as a result. I was referred to Dr. Raj Makkar by an industry friend. I have reached out 5 times to Dr. Raj Makkar and his office team. I have sent my medical history, labs and all other information including my insurance information and have received NO REPLY. I consider my condition relevant and worthy of a response. Apparently they don.t. I'm embarrassed for him, his team and the entire Cedars Sinai Medical Center for this interaction - or lack there of.

I've had 4 surgeries here, and I've stayed here a combined month since 2016. The surgeons and internists that practice here are amazing. The nurses are hit and miss, but there are some fantastic nurses here as well. Unfortunately there are as many apathetic, lazy nurses as there great ones. Cedars Sinai medical center is without a doubt the number 1 hospital in the Los Angeles area. Their clinical research departments are some of the most advanced in the U.S. Their staff, their doctor's, their technicians, are among the top 5% in the country. I'm actually sitting inside the hospital as I write this while a close and dear friend is in a room just down the hall, he didn't hesitate for even a second when I asked where to? Cedar Sinai was his answer...I could give you a list of Other hospitals who have ill trained staff with so much attitude that even asking for ice I was given cold stares as if I had asked that the 4th floor be named in my honor...!!! Thank you cedars for having the class that it takes to be giving and understanding without bias, to be compassionate with style and grace, and most importantly for saving my friends life....I will always be appreciatively humble.

I have been admitted via E.R. several times due to a left knee torn anterior cruciate ligament, and what makes this place standout is that from the first person you talk to, to the last, your history is carefully analyzed (repetitive questions are for a reason). After all this is a level 1 trauma center and academic health science center, and did I forget: a dietitian comes to your room with a menu to take your order.....(.I've seen what my insurance was billed)...and you'll receive a get well card plus you have access to most of your test results and diagnosis online or via an Android app How cool is that???, but hey I have been to some famous spas and received a fraction of service! So if you're Ill, feeling you're going to be Ill, then this super medical center is the one to be it in. PS you might run into celebrities.....

My dad was treated here for his heart condition. All the doctors and medical staff here are amazing. They truly care about each patient and go out of their way in doing so. All the doctors I met excelled in their field. And were very professional and courteous towards the patients and their family. They saved my father's life two years ago by performing a valve replacement. He was 90 years old at that time. This gave my dad another two years of his life. Just recently, my dad was brought again to the hospital for a stroke. Even though,sadly, he did not survive his treatment this time, the Cedars staff did not leave any room for negligence. And, treated him with utmost care and respect until his last moments.

Nice place if you need to be there. In one area they have a piano player in the lounge. A Starbucks, deli, Judy's a great place to eat and many more places to eat or grab a snack. They have valet parking also.

I had an AMAZING experience at Cedars delivering my baby; the doctors and staff were all so wonderful and the hospital itself is beautiful. My ONLY issue was with the in-house pediatric staff who were beyond disrespectful and would not give up on my right to refuse vaccinating my child. 30 minute lectures each day on how I was directly risking the safety of my community and how if my child became severely ill or died it would be a tragedy that would severely impact me- SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING and a direct violation of my rights as a parent to choose what is best for my child and to refuse to vaccinate. On top of that they took every opportunity to further harass me since I was not doing what they wanted. Sending in other pediatric staff to try and convince me to vaccinate along with telling me my child's head looked deformed (after speaking with two neurosurgeons who told me he was perfect). The pediatric staff is absolutely terrible, have your own TRUSTED pediatrician see you guys during your stay so you don't have to deal with the bigoted pediatric staff and their power trip! Everything else about my Cedars experience was absolutely amazing, the rest of the staff was so helpful, caring and kind. They really made our stay and recovery so smooth and comfortable. Much appreciated!!
