Dr. Jen is the most involved and caring physician I have ever had treating me. She takes the time to sit with you, listen to your concerns, and make a treatment plan. Every step of the way I have felt an active participant in my care not just a "patient being treated." Dr. Jen makes sure she explains exactly why my body needs my treatments both verbally and with pictures and flow charts. I feel well versed and educated in my care and treatment, which is a huge, shift from my experience with practitioners of more traditional medicine. I absolutely love having Dr. Jen as my physician. I would (and do) recommend her to every person I know who is looking for a PCP or just looking for a switch from the traditional treatment model.

Two visits in and I’ve already been treated with more respect, credibility and understanding than any doctor has in my entire life. When I met with Dr. Hogue I was pretty much at the end of my rope and I was skeptical about going the “natural route”. I had been bounced around from my general practitioner to dermatologists to allergists who pretty much had given up on me once pills and creams didn’t solve the problem (constant severe itchiness and hives). Dr. Hogue has helped me realize that mediocre health should not be taken as the norm. The specialists I previously saw suggested that I might just end up having to live with the hives now. Dr. Hogue took a hard look at other factors in my life such as my asthma and anxiety issues and has started to help me piece together a better approach at treatment that will help my hives, asthma and anxiety to start. There is also a focus on lessening my reliance on my current medications which had never even been considered by my conventional doctors. Things that I just took as-is such as “just being an anxious person” or relying heavily on my asthma medication are actually being addressed rather than swept under the rug.
