I have been going to Gloriana at Disco Dolls for over a year now. I have gone to so many different hair styles in Tampa over many years and I have never stuck to one stylist because I was never truly happy. That is until I met Gloriana. She has always made my inspo pics come to life. She has given me the most beautiful layers. She really transformed my hair from dull and lifeless to bouncy and voluminous. We also did some money pieces last time and they were exactly what I was wanting. I can not recommend her enough!

First time here and I saw Bryna for my blonde highlights and a haircut. I went in to have some color correction done from a previous stylist. Bryna spent so much time to make sure that my color was perfect and to be sure that I left happy. She was professional and extremely talented. The cute studio and shop out front is just a plus! I already booked my next appointment and will definitely be back.

Where do I start? The shop is so full of things to look at you could easily kill an afternoon hanging out! I got my hair did by an artist who doesn't just cut hair, she completely changes how it falls 😮 I feel CUTE again! I just had a haircut and styling with Bry and this is the first time I’ve left a hair salon completely happy with how my hair looks. I have very thick hair and I’ve struggled to find someone who can do layers without making it look choppy, but she did such a beautiful job!! If you have thick hair please go to Bry, plus she’s also great to talk to!! :)

This was done a while ago but Lindsay colored and fixed a mistake I did coloring my own hair and she did such a good job! I love how she’s also very inclusive of nonbinary people and the LGBTQ+ community as a whole, as the whole salon is. Definitely recommend her!

I am very picky so went for a free consultation first, and then booked appointment with Bry for a cut, color, foils, and style. She DEFINITELY knows what she is doing and I walked out of there very pleased! Finally, someone who knows blondes! She has an engaging personality, yet listened to my concerns as well as what I was going for, and made recommendations based on her experience. The shop is unique and the women are very friendly, acommodating with scheduling, and customer service oriented.

I have very thick, difficult-to-manage hair, and I've been searching for a good stylist for a while. Bry gave me an AWESOME cut, and I'm very happy to have found someone so skilled with textured hair! I will definitely be going back. The salon and everyone there is so welcoming. It's a great, laid-back atmosphere, and I can't say enough good things about it!

Every time i come in for services i leave feeling amazing - both because of my fabulous hair, but also because the vibe is always great. I also can't help but leave with new jewelry every time because they have the best variety of anyone in town. If you aren't part of the Disco Dolls family yet, i urge you to work your way over there. I like that they are very green and local. However, I was not satisfied with my haircut. The stylist was nice, but I ended up with a very choppy haircut. She kept telling me I would get use to it. I asked for side bangs that would still go into a pony tail and face framing layers. I got choppy blunt bangs that don’t go into a pony tail that are now are in my face. She tried to frame my face, but all the pieces were choppy. She kept trying to fix it, but I told her to stop. Once it’s cut too short, there’s nothing you can do. The stylist then said it would look better when she dried & curled it. It didn’t. Hair grows back, but I wish I got a better hair cut for the price ($50 for apprentice level). *I changed my review to 5 stars from the initial 2 because they were very responsive to this post. They responded promptly and were able to resolve this matter to my satisfaction. I went to their salon as a referral from a friend. In hindsight, I should have booked her person. Everyone gets a bad cut once in awhile. They have excellent customer service and I really did appreciate that.

Being newish to the area, I went in to ask some questions and was graciously greeted and listened to and then suggested a consultation. A few days later I was expecting just a consultation but was fortunate to be able to get a cut the same evening. I LOVE my new cut and my stylist and I got along wonderfully. Absolutely fantastic place! I got a stellar haircut with great conversation, and was very pleased that my stylist, Bry, was so knowledgeable about her craft! This was my first hair cut with my newly discovered curly hair and it looks fantastic! The products they use are all cruelty-free which is a huge bonus for me! I hadn't been in before my cut and was so surprised to see so much cool stuff at the store! I wanted to buy everything. Vintage goods, so much great art (I picked up a print!,) gorgeous jewelry and lots of fun witchy goodies! This is such a great place to shop for gifts or to find something special for yourself. If you can't get in store in person, nearly everything I saw is available on their online shop. Come visit this place! Did I mention they produce their own clothing here?! 🤯😍 Update: I loved my haircut so much that I called to see if Bry could give my son his first haircut. They absolutely accommodated my every need and it was just such a lovely experience! His hair looks fantastic and I am so surprised my stubborn boy is so happy with his new short(er) hair! She really did a phenomenal job and I am just so grateful they were willing to find a quiet time for us to sneak in. It was perfect!

This shop is a true treasure and feel so lucky to have it in my SH neighborhood. Kristine is the best hairstylist I’ve ever had and probably the best in Tampa. It’s not your typical hair studio, it includes a boutique store (co-owned by a clothing designer), art gallery and so much more! From their community minded mentality to their sustainable and ethical products and practices, these ladies are the real deal. Every time I leave there (never empty-handed 😂) I feel like I just left a friends house. If you have yet to stop by the Disco Dolls Studio then I recommend putting it on your list.

Such a great place! Nikki does my hair, and it always looks amazing. They also have some super cute things you can get for one of a kind gifts. From nice soaps, to unique jewelry, local art, or even vintage glassware, they probably have exactly what you need for the gift for "the person who has everything". Also, they have a really great selection of hair products - I'm in love with my 2-Phase spray.

The Studio is welcoming and contains something for everyone. Incredibly amazing products, gifts and gorgeous fashion! I have been a client of Kristine for over 10 years and I cannot say enough good things about how talented she is and how she not only cares about her customers but the neighborhood, the environment and all living things. The most well rounded person that is beautiful inside and out. You can enter the studio after a dull day or feeling a bit down and leave feeling enlightened and happy.

Recently visited this awesome woman-owned and operated, delightful shop in Seminole Heights and loved every minute there! Everyone that works there is very nice and helpful. It's a hair salon/art space/shop that has a great, relaxing vibe and is beautiful inside. Their salon specializes in vivid hair coloring, which I'd like to come back for! Purple hair for me please! They also sell thoughtfully and locally sourced items such as jewelry, art, beauty items, clothes, even masks and enamel pins with a bohemian, fun, feminist flair which I just ate up. I purchased small gifts, including a badass RBG collar enamel pin for a friend and couldn't be more happier with the customer service, selection of items and the uplifted mood of this place. I love good relaxing, happy, artsy feels at places so much! Thanks, Disco Dolls! I will definitely come back!

Pre-Covid, I attended a local SH painters works & ran my fingers through many layered feels of merch. Tarot nook w: then weekly store gatherings for readings and spiritual community support. Now they are held virtually. Choices abound for gift ideas made by near by hands. The owners are helpful & are great for conversations. Or not. You do you and that is respected. Within the store is featured a beauty salon for vivid hair color options by any one of the visionary professionals w: your hair in their hands. I haven’t had the pleasure, so not sure what other services they offer but I am certain they won’t leave you jacked up. So happy they are in my hood. ✌🏽
