Just had my first appointment here and loved every bit of my experience with Libby. The service was amazing, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the ambience was very pretty and elegant. I have had a series of stylist that just couldn't get it, it was also my 13yr girl 1st salon experience. She knocked it out the ball park, hands down. She is the owner, so I would assume that she requires the same from her team. I give her and this salon a 💯

Can’t express enough how much I love this salon. Down to each and every employee everyone is not only friendly and kind but they truly care about you and make you feel like family. I’ve tried multiple salons in the area and can hands down say not only does my hair come out the best here but the environment of the salon is just amazing. All around good souls. Never been a time where I wasn’t beyond amazed with how my hair came out as well as friends and family noticing and complimenting it as well. Would give beyond 5 stars if I could. If you’re looking for a salon who is not only great but truly cares this is definitely the place.

The girlies bring such good energy, I have a lot of hair so I am in it for a long haul and actually look forward to getting to chat with these girlies! Not to mention that they absolutely slayed my blonde. The baby lighting is superior and I am particular. I can not say enough good things. I have been going to Emily Majot for two years now and cannot express how happy I am each time I leave her chair. She always asks what we are doing for each visit and truly listens to you. She will make suggestions for what is best for your hair type and is always honest whether your hair can achieve what you are “thinking” about doing. Emily is super easy to hold a conversation with and makes you feel like you have been a friend of hers for years. The salon environment is laid back, clean and always playing good music! The salon itself, strives to stay fresh with new interior flourishes. They are always busy with hair extensions…lots and lots of hair extensions, along with color everywhere. The owner has redecorated a few times in the many years I've been there, and always keeps it looking fresh and current. As a man who cares about my hair and beard looking on point, I would highly recommend Emily. She took the time to talk with me about what I wanted, including humoring me by looking at pictures of Bradley Cooper as I told her this is what I was going for. Then she gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had. Some nice conversation and a few snips later and a star had been born. Salon Hyde Park is the best salon in all of Tampa, no joke. Libby Barrow has been doing my hair for years now and I have NEVER been dissappointed. I think my favorite thing about her is her honesty. Some professionals will just do whatever you want them to do even when they know it's going to destroy your hair. Libby will always take what you want into consideration, but she isn't afraid to tell you how it's going to affect your hair - to me that's the most important quality in a beautician. So glad I found this place and my stylist, Chelsea. I am always a little hesitant when getting my hair done by a new stylist because getting my hair highlighted and making it look natural is something past hair stylists have always had a problem with, but she completely nailed it. Chelsea knew exactly what I wanted and did just that. She used the best color and amount of highlights and in the best spots. Chelsea at Salon Hyde Park totally fixed my hair. At another salon, I'd had my hair taken from medium brown to blonde and hated how it turned out, but Chelsea was able to fix everything I didn't like about it. I love my hair now! I’ve been coming to see Libby (the salon owner) every 6-8 weeks for 3 years. I’m naturally a dark blonde and initially came to see her after I’d let my natural color grow out and was ready to go back to highlighted blonde. She’s super personable and easy to talk to, which makes sitting in the chair for a few hours something to look forward to. I’ve recommended her to friends who now come to her solely as well. I've NEVER had a hair cut in my 48 yrs where ypu can go in and the hair evpert; (FAMI ) can examine your hair then in minute's he KNOW'S what will make your hair look and feel like it never has before!! I've had my hair done by Fami a few times and I will never let anyone cut my hair or color except Fami. He's such an expert I'm sure movie star's would have him exsclusivley if they only new how it feels to walk in then walk out feeling like a movie star. My advice is to prepay for whatever you decide to get done at Salon Sassin so they can't rack the bill up on you. Omar is a genius with hair, I was impressed with the hair cut and style he gave me. BUT I went in for a haircut and during my free consult I revealed that I had never colored my hair before so I was talked into coloring my hair. They neglected to explain what they were doing to my hair or the prices associated with the services. I was taken complete advantage of here, telling them I had never colored my hair before was the worst mistake. They jumped on that opportunity to turn what was supposed to be a $40-$60 haircut into a bill that exceeded $400. After I voiced this to them I was promised a return phone call numerous times to resolve this with them, it's been over a month and no call. I disputed the charges with my bank and got my money back. I will return, like I said the cut and color was AMAZING. But I will prepay before I let them do anything to my hair.

Yes, you get what you pay for and yes, it takes time for customization and creativity. Omar does the most fantastic job on making my super thin fine hair look like I walked off the Milan runway! I have been getting my hair styled by Omar since 1986. I have tried other salons around the world (out of necessity) over the years and always get the best compliments from people with Omar's work. I've interrupted living abroad just to come back to Tampa to get my hair done by Omar. I literally have strangers stop me to pay a compliment and tell me how much they wish they could have hair like me. Omar has worked with me to get a fuller and thicker head of hair and takes into consideration how sensitive I am to chemicals. Omar and Mary Theresa make a visit to their salon an enjoyable experience. They are so nice and down to earth, they will listen to everything you want and make suggestions you never thought of. They stay on the cutting edge of fashion and style, which I feel is very important. I believe you should appear as if you are working for the job that you hope to do in the future. Hair is just important for confidence and success just like your health, weight, clothes, and teeth. No one walks away from Omar every looking the same. He doesn't know the meaning of cookie cutter hari cuts and puts a specializaed flair to every personality and face.

I had the Agavé treatment done and I am in love with my hair. Before the treatment it would take about. 30-45 minutes to blow dry my hair. Now it takes me 15 -20 minutes and I didn't use a brush and my hair is silky flat. Yes it is a little costly for their services but you need to budget for it like anything else you really want to purchase. Thanks MaryTheresa 😊
