Got a haircut today and I was really really happy with the cut. Tracy is truly amazing. She takes time to understand what you want and makes suggestions. It' s a bit higher cost, you can check with her before going but I felt it was totally worth the experience. She put in lot of time to make sure the hair cut was right. Would recommend to check out for anyone who is looking for a new look. Especially Asian hair!!

I've been coming here for almost a decade now. My family does too. Tracy continues to be the best. As an Asian male, finding someone that can do an amazing job cutting Asian hair is tough. Not only is Tracy skilled, but her understanding of aesthetics (i.e. what looks good for your face shape and hair type) puts her above many. Finally, she's a fun, great person to talk to and get to know. Tracy is a gem!!

Tracy is the best! She only gives you the suggestions that suit you the best, rather than the most expensive ones. I proposed a perm but Tracy suggested me to have a haircut to creat layers and then used iron. I got the exact hairstyle I wanted! Highly recommend!!!

I went to Tracy's Hair Studio on 10/16/21 for a perm and haircut. I've never gotten a haircut let alone a perm in Seattle, so I was pretty nervous about it. But Tracy was extremely welcoming and very nice. She tried her best to comfort you, and make you feel as relaxed as possible. One thing I really liked was she would talk and ask questions about how I like my hair until she completely understood how I wanted it. She really cares and wanted to make sure it's exactly how you want it. I 100% recommended Tracy for your hair needs, if I come back to Seattle I will definitely stop back here again.

Honestly the best hair stylist and salon I've ever been to... she doesn't just look at the reference image you show her, but she also looks at your overall visage in general and makes adjustments based off of that to enhance your appearance:) She also knew my hair was cut somewhere else and they didn't do a good job of it, so she made adjustments to bring out my style! She really knows what she's doing! I didn't think I would find anyone like that who doesn't just look at the photo I show, so she's really a rare gem! She's also very sweet and friendly, and we ended up talking about a lot of things, even my love interest haha! I really recommend her 10/10! She's hands down the best:) Love you Tracey!

This is my first time here and Tracy was the best! I chatted with her the whole time and it was truly the most pleasant experience. She gave my hair a perfect cut too :) My only regret was that I had forgotten to tip in my rush to my next appointment. I'll definitely be back and tipping double next time!!

Tracy did an amazing job with my hair, I showed her a pic of what I wanted and she suggested against it. She explained why and gave me a better alternative. Needles to say, THANK GOD I went with her suggestions. I have never been happier with a hair cut all my life. She was able to give my thin hair volume with NO products. I live in New Orleans now, so I will wait until I can come home for the holidays to see her again.

Tracy is simply the best! I have been getting my haircuts at Tracy’s Hair Studio for over 10 years now. While once in a while I end up going to other hairdressers if I find myself in a time squeeze and she doesn’t have an opening, I consistently end up coming back to Tracy for my haircuts. Her staff is very efficient, and Tracy’s haircuts are consistently exceptional. She is the most efficient and fast hairdresser I have ever known and it looks great every time! Her haircuts are also very affordable, which I appreciate greatly. Her establishment is clean and comfortable and she is easy to reach by phone and scheduling is a breeze. Most importantly, very few businesses are able to establish personal relationships in the way Tracy does for each and every one of her customers. There is no small talk with Tracy—she is interesting, engaging, and simply delightful to talk to and be around. She remembers every member of my family from different anecdotes I have shared with her throughout the years, and always ask about their well-being! You will never feel like a number in the assembly line with Tracy—she will take the time to know you and care for you! I have nothing but praise and respect for her! Thank you for a decade of haircuts, Tracy! You know I will always keep coming back! Also, hi to little Celine! :)

I always have a good experience at Tracy's Hair Studio! Tracy is stylish, fun to chat with, and talented -- I'm always pleasantly surprised with my haircuts from her! It's so nice finding a strong Asian woman who knows how to cut Asian hair, especially so close to UW. She's cut my hair when it was long, medium, short, and in various states of overgrowth (including my bad lockdown hair). I appreciate how she's not afraid to tell you what she thinks -- if a certain cut or length will or won't look good on you. Tracy's salon is clean and modern. During COVID times, she wears a mask and her customers wear masks, and I felt safe getting my hair cut several times throughout lockdown. Note: Tracy prefers to be paid in cash, so make sure you bring some with you!. For long hair, my appointments usually take around an hour and are around $60. (Which I think is totally reasonable for the quality.) Short male styles usually cost less.

I have been going to Tracy's since 2010. I just found her on Yelp, but she ended up being my new haircut place ever since. She is great, and very intuitive when she is cutting your hair as she will adjust to your own unique look and style. Totally recommend Tracy's. I've passed on the word to all my friends in the Seattle area, guys and gals, and they've all been happy with their visit. If you're still looking for that one spot you can go to consistently get a good cut, this the one!

Moving to a new city can be daunting, especially when you don't have your "go-to's" anymore. I was worried about finding a good salon, but I saw great reviews for Tracy's and decided to give her a shot. I'm thoroughly impressed! Tracy is a dedicated stylist, very knowledgeable, and so sweet and friendly. Not only did I get a great haircut (and for only $20), but I had a great experience overall. Will definitely be back :). Price is a bit higher than other hair cut places on the ave but the experience is worth it. Unlike other barbershops on the ave, they wash your hair first with scented shampoo before they start cutting it. After your cut not only you will look great but your hair will also smell very nice. Tracy is very nice to talk to and always welcomes you with her bright personality.

Tracy is the best stylist anywhere! She's super friendly and after a little small talk/banter and got acquainted, she knows exactly what looks good on me and suggest what's best for me. For those with egos, this place may not be best suited for you. I told Tracy I was short on time because I have an interview coming in an hour. She told me just wait for a little bit as she finish off another client. I was skeptical when she suggested what looks best for me but going in knowing she got perfect rating and almost two decades of experience, I trusted her to work her magic as she danced around my hair like a world champion dancer and got me the best hair cut ever! I was thoroughly impressed and absolutely trust her skills, judgement and positive professional advise. Highly recommended! Just make sure you bring cash and you'll come out happy! :-)

If you aren’t simply buzzing your hair, good men’s cuts can be really hard to find. Tracy might be part wizard, DNA tests are still pending. I have never had a bad haircut in the 8 years I’ve been going to her. When I lived in NYC I couldn’t find anyone that would cut my hair as well as she does so I would always make sure to schedule a hair cut when coming back to visit. Additionally, she has a way of making hair look like it hasn’t been cut recently, looks natural right out the door. My wife now goes to her and she does an incredible job with her hair as well. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Will not rush. Super friendly. Totally gem all around.

Always nice getting my hair cut here. Tracy is great at cutting hair and is very personable. She works hard while charging a reasonable price. Went to some other places in Seattle, but this is my favorite.

I literally just got my haircut by Tracy. I walked in, waited maybe 5-10 minutes, and then she was with me before I knew it! I really loved how I could tell that she was already thinking what she could do for my hair while finishing up with the previous client, because at one point she paused and asked to feel my hair, when I last got a haircut, etc. She offered explanations for why she wanted to do specific things to my hair, and made it clear she had my best interests at heart! One thing, is if you have a set idea of what you want done and are not willing to accept some adjustments, Tracy might not be right for you because she is definitely the type to let you know that she knows a better way to make you look good :)

I have thick men's hair that that can be difficult to cut and style so up until now, I've been paying $30 - $40 to ensure I get a good haircut. I had a feeling that I should be able to find someone who could do a decent job for less money so I went on Yelp and found Tracy's Hair Studio. She asked me where I had it cut previously, what I liked and didn't like about it, and how long it's been since my last cut. Then she said, "Ok, got it." Let me tell you, Tracy is the Benihana chef of the hair world. As she started cutting and her hands became a blur, I thought to myself, either this girl really knows what she's doing or this is going to be one bad day. Thirty minutes later, I can say it was as good or better than haircuts costing twice as much. $20 + tip = 1 happy customer. She takes drop-ins but beware, I think she said she's been in business there 17 years and it appears that she's developed quite a good reputation with repeat customers so you may have a long wait if you don't make an appointment first. It's in an area of the U-District that usually had adequate street parking within a block of the studio if you're driving.

Tracy is a class act and great stylist. If you're like me, when it comes to finding a new stylist, you often settle. "I've had worse" is something I often say, looking at my mediocre haircut or empty wallet from a $40 cut. Not at Tracy's. She's an artist. She knew what I wanted and described it to me better than I ever could. She was like Edward Scissorhands, jumping around and treating my hair like a sculpture. And for what...$20?! (Plus tip). This might be the best haircut I've ever gotten (sorry mom)! New loyal customer here and I highly recommend!

I would not go anywhere else. Tracy acts like your typical Asian mom! I was getting my hair colored and while waiting for the color to set, she asked if I had eaten yet and made me a bowl of noodles. She is so cute! Not only is she funny like that, she's really good at what she does. She won't be afraid to tell you what she thinks would look best on you, and she's good at making you feel like a priority even when she's super busy. It's very obvious she knows what she's doing, and her assistants are very knowledgeable as well.

When I told her I parked far away because of my terrible parking skill as a new driver, she offered to give me a ride home. Care and attention given to each customer is 5/5 everytime I have been here. Skills and services are also 5/5 everytime I have been here. I have mixed hair (half black, half white) and she cuts it better than the majority of other individuals I have tried in the u district. You can also trust her to give you a good haircut if you sit down and have only a vague idea of what you want but don't know how to articulate it. Of course, this point may not be true for everyone depending on how particular you are but this is true in my case :-)

Good hairdresser. Cuts the hair just right -- not more, not less. And, as a previous customer has mentioned, has a right mix of chatting and concentration. Uses scissors instead of a razor, which means lower chance of hair damage in my opinion. It's getting pricier than before though: $25+ for men and $35+ for women. For the two times I was there, I paid $45 and $40 (plus tips). Also, about the hair products, much better prices can be found online for the same (or similar) products. Would still rate 5. Good hairdressers are hard to find.
