MeeRaIt was my first time at BANG SLU for a haircut. Tristan was a gem. He analyzed my hair, heard my requirements. I had long textured/curly hair probably a 3C type curl. I was very nervous to get a short haircut, above the shoulder as it could get poofy with frizz. Tristan answered my questions, explaining how the short hair would work and what products to apply. After the consultation, Tristan cut my hair dry, to set the frame of what the final cut would look like. Then he gave me a very relaxing hair wash massaging my neck as well. Very relaxing. Once my hair were washed, we moved back to our station where he gave my hair the final polished cut and applied EVO products to my hair and styled the curls. At this point I was nervous since the size of my hair reduced a lot and didn't see any volume since they were wet. Tristan worked his magic in styling the hair, was asked to sit under the hair dryer for few minutes to mimic air drying process. I could definitely see the curls forming up and volume in my hair. He then applied another hair product and diffused the curls. Showing me various techniques that I can use at home when styling. My hair looked phenomenal. I already have gotten so many compliments, it changed my whole look. Preciously, I used to wear my 2nd/3rd day hair in a ponytail or a butterfly clip since it became too frizzy. But with this haircut and the EVO products i definitely see that not happening. Love love love the new look!
He then took a few pictures of the new cut. Oh not to mention, Tristan is very welcoming, jolly and passionate hairdresser. The entire time I was there, not once did I feel neglected. They took very good covid precautions. Wearing masks all the time. The vibe of the salon is so fun, with music, and committed employees who are genuinely happy to be there. Destiny, the receptionist was also very helpful and sweet. She ensured the cut hair were clean several times vaccumming and making sure I was comfortable as well. I would definitely be going back for a service with Tristan! I have recommend the salon to my friends as well! I would highly recommend going here and getting treatments done with Tristan, you will not be disappointed and come out happy with lots more hair care knowledge than before.
Ram AnantharamanMadison was excellent. She's a pro with great attention to detail. She listened to what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions based on her experience. All the hair styling tools and products are top notch here as well. Fantastic experience. I will be returning here soon.
V BaileyHeidi is awesome! She is thoughtful, careful and precise, and consistently gives my short, fine hair a really great haircut. She is very knowledgeable as well as artistic, and I always leave the salon with a haircut that I receive compliments on. I highly recommend her!

Took the time to talk to me about what I want, looked at some pictures with me and we chose our favorite. She did the cut step by step then I feel good about every step and I LOVE my hair now. If you have curly hair, she’s the queen!

Megan LandauMadison was amazing!! It’s been two months since she gave me a haircut and recommended some products for me to use. It’s the easiest, most low maintenance haircut I’ve ever had and styles so nicely. Her recommendation for the Salty Dog spray has changed my hair from looking flat and boring to awesome beach-curly waves and I love how easy it is to accomplish this. She’s also fun and entertaining to be around so would highly recommend!
AngelaHeidi is amazing and so warm! It was my first time getting a haircut from her and she blew it out of the water. She doesn't have a huge online presence so I went into the appointment blindly with some reference photos. She checks in at every step and spent extra time styling my hair at the end of the appointment. Highly recommend! The salon itself is small but very clean and busy. They use mostly Oribe products, a special treat!
Amy HainingGO. SEE. HEIDI!!!! I’ve struggled finding people who know how to cut curly hair. I talked to her for about 5 minutes and I knew right away that she knew what she was talking about and knew what to do. Her and I both had the same vision of what I wanted for my hair and she completed it in such a fantastic way. I am so excited for this new haircut and am definitely going to go back!!
