Brandon has been my stylist for almost 2 years, and I have never had this quality of hair color before in my life. We have transitioned to very vivid “fashion color”even the more “standard“ colors were tailored to fit my personality with uncanny precision. Brandon is incredibly professional, he works insanely fast with a precision that is essentially that of a ninja. He is a true artist, and takes pride in every single haircut and hair color, I am so lucky to call him my stylist and my friend. The salon is fun, bright, colorful, and I enjoy my time there immensely!

Thanks for another perfect haircut! Jamie has excellent technique and is precise in cutting. He understood my concerns and explained every step to make sure we’re on the same page. I asked for long layers, movement on top, face framing, & slight V shape. I requested he cut all the dead ends (10”-12”) off to have a fresh and healthy look. Even my mom complemented the cut as she’s a VS trained stylist.

Brandon is God 👑 when it comes to color!!! I always leave 19th Ave Salon feeling and looking like a mermaid 🧜‍♀️. The scalp massage after my color service is always a plus and I love the vast selection of Aveda products (EVERYTHING SMELLS AMAZING 👃 ❤️✨)! The salon is super welcoming and full of beautiful light, I love seeing all the cute little kids come and press their little hands against the window and watch Brandon’s magic 🪄. I have been avoiding cutting my hair even though I know I needed it because I’ve been loyal to my friend but she’s all the way in Tacoma. I walk past 19th Ave just about everyday on my way to work and have been intrigued by the energy, so I finally gave them a shot! Immediately I felt so welcomed and loved the vibe. Nicole was my stylist and for sitting in her chair for the first time and asking her to chop my hair off, she did an excellent job and I am in LOVE. I have been getting my hair cut by Tyson for the last year, and my hair has never looked better in all my 40+ years. Tyson knew exactly what I wanted from our first appointment and I walked out feeling amazing. My hair is low maintenance but it ALWAYS looks great. Tyson is a lot of fun to work with, and he is able to understand my vague suggestions and turn them into exactly what I want. The salon itself is lovely, everyone is kind and helpful. Special shout out to Janet at the front desk who is super sweet and always willing to help with scheduling and everything else.

Tyson is by far the best stylist to have cut my fast-growing, awkward hair, and his cuts retain their look longest. (And I have tried a *lot* of folks in Seattle over 15 years.) He's personable, professional, and has a sixth sense about whether you're in the mood to chat or just want to drift off while he sets about transforming your appearance. Highly, highly recommended.

Brandon is amazing to work with! I have Asian hair, so it's very thick and dense, which means I need a special bleach to get my hair light. Brandon was able to have the bleach ordered and delivered within a week. He was able to turn my hair from a very dark brown to a bright, vibrant, stop sign red! This was my first time having my hair bleached and colored and Brandon was very good at explaining each step, as well as the aftercare. I get so many compliments from people on my hair now. I'm probably going to be dyeing my whole head of hair, and I'm definitely going to go back to Brandon. The salon is obviously covid-conscious. I came in wearing a cute, fabric face mask, and they gave me a disposable one so that my cute mask didn't get dyed. I really appreciate the extra steps the salon takes to make sure people are safe and comfortable!

The salon was exceptionally clean and bright. They were following all of the recommended covid guidelines but still made it a fun experience. I love the location also w lots of little cafes and shops nearby. I highly recommend Jamie and his team. Really great experience. Two years later and still the same high quality cut and color. Have been coming to 19th Avenue Salon for over a year now. It was great finding a salon I love within walking distance of my house. Tyson is a wizard with hair color, and as he promised, I need only to come in every four months for a haircut and color (I’m 58 and not ready to go gray yet). He’s lightened my hair a lot, which I love, so as my hair grows out, the grays just blend in. I used to dye my own hair about every 6-8 weeks. My worry with doing it at a salon was that I would need to go in that frequently, and the expense of it, as I am retired now. Going in 3 times a year is really doable, and my hair really does look good for the 4 months. I also love the haircuts and great conversation. The salon is exceptionally clean and professional, and just has a great atmosphere. I’m a huge fan of Aveda products, so this is a bonus. I would highly recommend this salon.

One of the best salons in Seattle! I got the KCMax keratin treatment done here and Jamie did a fantastic job. I have long, dark, very curly and frizzy hair. My hair looks great now, the frizz is all gone and it takes me hardly any time to style it after a shower. The process takes time but the salon has a great vibe and everyone is super friendly and welcoming!

I love this salon for so many reasons! First and foremost, the stylists are best in class at what they do. I have loved every cut and color they've done for me. The location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The décor is bright and chic. The scheduling process was a breeze and the products are amazing. I was changing my hair up a bit so I had a consultation 2 weeks before the service and throughout the service she communicated well and told me exactly what she was doing. Great salon that I wish I’d found a long time ago. It can be hard to find a place that does good shorter/bob styles, but I’ve been super happy here. I’ve been to 3 of the stylists and they’ve all been great. After my last cut I got home and decided I wanted the back a little shorter, and Jackson very obligingly got me in the next day. Everyone is very friendly, and I’m super happy with my hair.

Rome is literally my hair savior. I was traveling to Seattle and decided to use a color conditioner that stained my hair a really ugly orange that faded to a yellow (I was going for a nice ginger hue to tone my blonde). I’ve never made a mistake like this before and had no clue what to do. I went in to a consultation at this salon and Rome was super professional and knew exactly what to do. I asked for a strawberry blonde tone to match up with my roots better. And she delivered and gave me a killer point cut. My hair was so messed up by a previous stylist that over-cut my bangs. Rome fixed them up and cut my hair so my natural wavy texture could bend nicely. I’ve seriously never been more impressed with my hair. I added some pictures. The last one is what my hair looked like before with that nasty yellow that wouldn’t come out after 20+ washes.

The best hair salon in Seattle. I had never experimented with hair color all my life and was very skeptical about it. There are very few colors that look good on long curly hair for Indian Men. I read all reviews and decided to go with Brandon. He explained me the whole process in detail, put my mind to ease, showed how AVEDA products are totally safe to use and help maintain healthy hair. Then he did an amazing job with balayage and I got exactly what I wanted without even needed to bleach my hair. Now onwards this place is going to be my go. Jamie did my husband and son's hair a few weeks ago and they both looked great. So I make the difficult decision to give him a try. Why is it difficult? I am pretty particular and have been seeing the same amazing person for years. I do balayage, cut, and keratin. If anything went wrong with these services it would be a nightmare. Everything about my cut was wonderful! Brandon is a true wizard with the shears. He listened to me, and was spot on with giving me the perfect cut and of course a wonderful blow out and style, he even explained to me that he was using a new technique to texturize the lower half of my bob. Thankfully he was able to fix my covid, do it myself haircut, and what a relief to have great hair again! This is the place to go, and I will continue to see Brandon!

After all these months being in quarantine I felt like I needed change... I needed help! My hair was long, dry and dull. After reading reviews I decided to go to 19th Avenue salon for a change in my hair. What an amazing experience! From a great and relaxing wash to an amazing cut and blow out with Jamie. He made my hair look good again. The staff did a great job with the covid-19 reopening, everyone is wearing masks, they provided hand sanitizer and they took your temperature when entering. Very kind and professional staff! This salon is officially my go to salon now. The stations are clean, music is great and everyone is professional and friendly. Highly recommended to anyone! Oh.... and they have the most amazing reclining chairs at the wash basin. LOVE THIS SALON!

Above and beyond. This was my second haircut with Jamie, having had the good fortune of being referred to him three months or so ago. He is a quick study and observes even the slightest styling detail. His shampoos are more like scalp massages, so lengthy and relaxing and worth a visit for those alone. My daughter has had a bob style for years and has been wanting a ‘pixie’ type style. She was determined but a bit nervous going into the haircut. Jamie was so helpful and supportive while explaining options and cuts that would be shorter but help her ‘bridge the gap’ and get used to shorter hair. She ended up with a short pixie in the back with and angled cut/bangs in the front and I’ve never seen her so happy and excited. She said ‘mom I never knew a haircut could affect your spirit so much, this is exactly how I wanted to feel!’ If that isn’t a glowing recommendation for 19th Ave Salon, I don’t know what is! We love it there.

What a great haircut! Booking an appointment for the first time at an AVEDA salon I went in expecting great results, and wow did they deliver! Jamie is a master stylist, I’m totally going back for my next cut! The entire staff was super friendly, the product selection is incredible, and I felt totally safe getting my first haircut post-quarantine with ample hand sanitizer, no-touch temperature checks, face masks on all employees, all in a beautiful and relaxing environment. Such a great experience at 19th Avenue Salon! Brandon did a haircut & a bleach/tone on me - saving me from my quarantine DIY! I really appreciated how straight forward he was and how he explained the entire process to me before beginning and while he was working. He was also super helpful with tips for care at home for my hair and that of my partner. Also really appreciated that they provided face masks, hand sanitizer, and checked your temperature at the door. So happy to have found this place! :)
