Betsey and her team were absolutely amazing!!! My wedding was in September 2022 and I had a large wedding party so I needed 10+ hairs and makeups done before 12p. Her team accommodated us and we’re so fast! All the girls absolutely loved their hair and makeup! Definitely worth the money and going with Luminous Beauty!! The morning of was fun and not stressful because of her and her team. Thank you!!!

Betsey did my makeup for a boudoir photo shoot. We went for dramatic eyes and lips and wow! did it ever work in the photos! I felt absolutely gorgeous and it really boosted the vamp volume for the sexy shots. Betsey is delightful to work with and somehow manages to get all the detailed hair and makeup work done while making it feel like having coffee with an old friend. She's not just for weddings!

We hired Betsey and her team for my wedding and we’re absolutely blown away! They are THE BEST! I was the bride. Myself, my bridesmaids, mom and grandma have never felt more beautiful. They did such a fabulous job and were so sweet, the kind of people you want to spend your wedding morning with. They drove 50 miles out of the cities to our location, arrived 15min early and kept to the timeline! The professionalism, the execution, everything was better than we could have ever imagined. Their services were near the top of my hair and makeup budget, but knowing now how fabulous they were- I wouldn’t think twice about it again. If you’re considering booking with Betsey- do it!

We used Luminous Beauty LLC for our wedding and they were amazing!! We had 12 ladies who needed their hair done and 7 who needed makeup. Luminous did an incredible job at doing the requested hairstyles and makeup for everyone. The hair and make up artists were professional, fun, and organized. Everyone was completed on time and looked AMAZING. Their prices were reasonable and the hair and makeup made it through the happy tears and the dancing. I highly recommend using them for any of your beauty needs especially on your wedding day!!

We hired Luminous Beauty to do hair and makeup for our wedding last week and Betsey and her team were the best! They listened to what everyone in our party wanted but also made everyone feel so comfortable and encouraged trying something a little new. Everyone looked naturally stunning and received so many compliments from our guests. They even had a men’s package which worked perfectly for us! We cannot recommend them highly enough!

For my wedding party, we all had different hair and different makeup, ranging from natural to goth. Betsey and her team were more than accommodating. She gave her professional opinions when needed while also providing a very friendly atmosphere. She and her team were very kind and flexible while also very professional and versatile. I would suggest Luminous Beauty to anyone. It is on the pricey side for 9 hair and makeup bridesmaids and myself, but it was so worth it. I had talked with Betsey beforehand about timelines and the team was prompt and efficient, completing hair and makeup for seven women the day of my wedding and on schedule. Amazing. On-time, responsive, clear on pricing and communication, and GREAT WORK! Luminous beauty was my first ever experience getting my makeup done and I had no idea what to expect, so I wanted to share my experience for anyone who is like me who may run into the same issues I had. If you are like me... I HIGHLY recommend Betsey, and doing a makeup trial!!! I spent hours looking at gorgeous makeup looks on Pinterest and had a couple picked out to give as a reference for my makeup trial with Betsey (I was dead set on a heavy smoky eye). During the trial, she felt like an old friend. She was friendly, kind, and happy to give makeup tips that were much appreciated :) however, every time she showed me my makeup in the mirror, it just didn't look like what I expected to look like. I didn't think I looked like myself. She gave me good advice to get opinions from my loved ones and let her know if anything needed tweaking before the big day. I ended up switching my look entirely for my wedding day, and gave her completely different references than I did at the trial. She was completely understanding and kind, and could not have done a better job. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and Betsey and her helper Siobhan were nothing short of incredible. If this kind of experience is new for you, and you are unsure what you want your makeup to look like... DO A TRIAL! I would have been a nightmare on my wedding day had I not done the trial. It's a little extra money, but if you're anything like me... it is WELL worth it. I cannot recommend Betsey and her staff enough.

I reached out on a Thursday afternoon to see if there was any way I could get help for a Friday wedding (a crazy work week got the best of me). Betsey was so helpful in explaining the available options and getting me scheduled. I was lucky enough to have Audra do my hair and makeup for a wedding. She was so easy to talk to and did a magnificent job of getting me dolled up while making sure I still felt like myself. For my hair, I requested an updo that would last through hours of dancing. SHE DELIVERED. I got home 9 hours after she finished with my hair and makeup and both looked just as good as when I left the studio. A few highlights/aspects that really stood out to me: - Betsey able to sneak me in for day-of hair and makeup and for a trial despite being solidly booked, something that others I'd reached out to weren't able to. - Betsey herself did my makeup, while Lacey did my hair. Both are incredible at what they do: I've been a bridesmaid in a few weddings before, and those experiences were nothing compared to the service/quality of hair and makeup that I received here - I was fairly nervous/stressed because of everything going on that day, but I can say without a doubt that the 1-2 hours I spent with Betsey and Lacey were instrumental in helping me to relax and actually enjoy the experience To be honest, I could not have asked for a better experience, and I would absolutely recommend Luminous Beauty to anyone.

I got married in June and used Luminous Beauty for my bridal make up in addition to my bridesmaids. Betsey made me look gorgeous and I am so so thankful I found her after a long search. I opted for the airbrush look and I received so many compliments throughout the night. I also cried during the wedding and the make up continued to look flawless. Wow. Just wow. I now understand why this place is 5 stars! I got make up and hair services for the first time here for a wedding I was attending and let me tell you, those ladies were phenomenal!! I can’t remember the last time I had services this great!! Betsy did my make up and I wish I could remember the women’s name who did my hair but both were very professional, accommodating, personable, easy going, and absolutely great at what they do. Betsy was very clean with her work and quick. I have textured hair and not many solans can correctly handle my hair so I was a bit nervous, but the women who did my hair was very gentle and knew what she was doing. I felt so beautiful after I left there. I highly recommend and will definitely be back in the near future!

Luminous Beauty was absolutely amazing to work with! I was planning a wedding in 90 days and Betsey responded very quickly to my inquiry and was thankfully able to do my make up! I never wear make up so she did a very subtle natural look that was beautiful! Less than two weeks before the wedding, there was a change and I needed to find someone to do hair for the wedding. In the pre-COVID before times, I found Luminous Beauty online while doing some wedding research, and was instantly impressed. So of course, I hired Betsey and her team to do hair + makeup for my 5 bridesmaids and I on 10/10/2020. She was responsive, helpful, and her services were reasonably priced, what's not to love? We were all ready to go, until COVID struck. My fiancé and I, like many other couples, had to come up with a plan b as it was becoming apparent our October wedding date wasn't going to happen the way we wanted it to. Betsey was so flexible as we made the decision to downsize our wedding to from 170+ people to 13 people, meaning she would only do my hair + makeup. Not only was she ok with the down-sizing, but she also rescheduled our bigger agreement of my 5 bridesmaids and I for the following year without any rescheduling fees or runarounds. Her flexibility really helped me feel better as we made this tough decision. While I'm excited to work with her again for my bigger wedding on 10/02/21 (fingers crossed), she and her team did an excellent job making me feel beautiful for my smaller wedding day. I was really unsure about what I wanted when I went in for my trial, but Betsey and her team helped me find the right look. During the wedding day, my hair (which is very fine and hard to keep curled) looked perfect all day. The makeup Betsey did for me was also perfect. It was classy + elegant, and just completed my entire look. Leading up to my small wedding, I booked a few skincare appointments with Betsey to make sure my skin was wedding-ready. I had always wanted to try peels and learn more about my skin type, and Betsey was a really helpful teacher. So even if you're just looking for an esthetician, Betsey's a solid go-to. I'll definitely be recommending her to anyone looking for skincare/hair/makeup needs in and around the Twin Cities.
