I’ve gotten my hair done here many times and I continue to go here. Love the sisterly atmosphere and their braiding skills are to be applauded. Im always leaving the hair salon smiling, happy with my hair and experience there. I usually call a week or a few days in advance to schedule my hair appointments and Ive not had any issue with getting in. I think the only con is the location parking for me but the hair is worth it!

Everytime I go hear they do my braids longer and charge me the cheaper price. They last long and look clean. I only get braids once a year but they are the only place I go to.

They are always friendly and do a nice job. The braids are neat and clean. Come washed and blow dried because they don't have a sink.

They were wonderful, Took 6 hours but I was a last minute appoinment. Walk-in and 4 and they commited to working with me. Lovely ladies. Didn't over pull my hair to detangle,very fast a efficent and got me out in time. The style is very neat and every hair is in place. They greased my scaple. Provided the hair. Cut the excess hair and boiled the ends to lock everything in. Lovely ladies, I will be going back 100%. I even saw kids getting thie hair detangled and didn't wince once or shed a tear. Just a wonderful job. Andddddd the Length....beautiful

This is my favorite African hair salon, and I’ve been to many. They are very respectful of your time, and always start right away when you call ahead of time. I’m tender-headed, but they’re always checking on their customers to make sure they’re doing well. The prices are good, and I leave feeling cute every time!!!

I went in with NO IDEA What I really wanted. I didn’t make it an appointment and it was AFTER 5pm , yet they still took me in and when I finally figured out what I wanted they did an even better job than I was expecting! I came in feeling defeated and left with so much joy! The price was more than fair and they did my hair in about 2 hours ! I’m still amazed! Thanks again ladies I will be back for more!

I’m giving them 3 stars because my last experience was not a good one. The lady that’s normally there wasn’t, so someone else did my hair. I got a different style and it turned out okay. What I did not like was the lady telling me that there wasn’t anything wrong with my hair. I’m the one paying for it and I did not like that one of the braids were bigger than the others. It was a simple fix. It’s been a couple of days and my braids are already frizzy! There was also a couple other people in the shop that got the same style as me but I was charged more than them. I feel like it was because I “complied” about the braids. I was very polite during this. I have been going to them since I moved back to MN last summer and have even recommended people to them. That was my last time coming there and I will not be referring anyone else. It may not seem like a big deal but I like consistency and if I cannot get that when the normal people are there then I don’t feel comfortable going back. I feel like no matter who is doing my hair I should receive the same great service every time. I also feel like if you’re going to charge two others one price then everyone should be charged that price no matter what.

I was recommended here from one of my brothers friends. From the moment we walked in we were met with a pleasant, and friendly environment. I had a scheduled appointment, and they worked quickly and efficiently, all the while still paying attention to detail. My mother came with me and had not scheduled an appointment, but they still made time for her. They were kind hardworking ladies and I definitely will be coming back again!

Took my little sister there for the first time on an appointment and not only did they do her hair, they were kind enough to get my mind in as well even though she didn’t have an appointment. They did a fabulous job on both hair and that’s where my mom and sisters will be going, moving forward. First time there. Went for Senegalese Twists. They started right away and had 4 people working on my head for the first hour until the next customer came in. My hair was done much sooner than expected. They did such a wonderful job! My twists are even from top to bottom! My only complaint is they are quite a bit longer than I wanted them to be. Thank you Jankeh! I will see you all soon!!

My daughter and I come here quite frequently. Jankeh, her sister and the rest of her staff have always greeted us very politely. At times there are issues with time management, however, they are a popular shop due to the quality of their braiding, from what I have noticed. My go to hair style are the knot less box braids, and the quality is always excellent at the end. Some of the sisters are more heavy handed than others, however, they always as the client if they are braiding to tightly, and are concerned about the customers comfort. I will be returning soon to get my knotless box braids touched up. So, far so good, in regards to my experience . My daughter and I will be returning. Thank you Jankeh, and team for your services.

My daughter had an excellent experience at Jankeh's Salon! We drove almost two hours to have her hair braided, and it was well worth the trip. My daughter could not have been more thrilled with how her hair looked when we left the salon. She felt so beautiful and confident! And even now, more than 2 weeks later, her hair still looks amazing! In addition to being more than pleased with how her hair looked, we both had such a great experience while she was getting her hair braided. Jankeh and her staff are all so kind, warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this salon and we look forward to returning many times in the future!

The only place I go to get my knotless braids! They are very nice and make you feel comfortable when you arrive. I feel like a brand new person when I leave. I always get compliments and I have recommended a friend who loves their work as well. I’ll be back

I went to this place because of the wonderful ratings. I call at right when they just open the woman said come at 1030 I get there at 1030 on the dot . So I greet the woman by saying good morning she didn't say anything just look at me crazy didn't offer a sit or anything I work in customer service so I found that to be very rude.the woman did not say anything to me until 15 minutes later when the first customer arrived who had an appointment. This customer was a older more boisterous woman . So her sister comes and she started the older woman's hair the sister was more nicer than the one who actually didn't greet me when I came she was the one who did my hair and the whole time she's ripping and being rough with head heavyhanded and the older woman told her sister like oh I I love your energy You give Good vibes and I was wondering like did she want to trade because the lady that was in my hair she was very rough and yanking at my head and then one time she yanked it so hard and she going to say I'm sorry honey your hair is very natural that doesn't give you an excuse to rip in be rough with my head and then later I seen that my braids are not as neat as they looked like as they look right after she was done she is a difference between braiding someone's hair and putting a million braids and somebody head no parting space at all my braids look frizzy two days later and I've been wrapping my hair up and wearing a bonnet. I will not be returning to this place because it's a waste of money. I wasn't impressed at all.

It’s so hard finding a good hair braider after my hair braider moved I hadn’t thought about getting braids in years. However no being on my natural hair journey again I decided to google some hair braiders. I ran across Jackie and her shop I booked an appointment. Went to my appointment and let’s just say I found my new hair braider. They are sooooo GREAT and loving even though my hair took all day because they were extremely busy it was well worth the wait! They are VERY skilled at what they do and VERY thorough. Highly recommend this spot.
