My boyfriend and I both needed haircuts, so I called and asked if they had any open appointments next to each other. They offered me a choice of back-to-back appointments with the same stylist, or simultaneous appointments with different stylists. He and I both really appreciate that they were able to accommodate my special request! We both got our hair cut by Johnny. He was great. I think he could tell right away that I was nervous to get bangs and he calmed me down. He looked at pictures with me and talked it over. I didn’t feel rushed at all, the way I have at other places. I also had a lot of questions for him during the cut and he happily answered them all. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re at all nervous about getting your hair cut. They are super chill and you’ll feel at ease in no time. :)

These people are hair Geniuses. I'm the kind of person who doesn't really do a lot with my hair. So, I came in not really having a clear idea of what I wanted. Luckily, Johnny is a hair whisperer and set me up with the perfect most gorgeous cut and color I could have asked for! Also, the ambiance is incredible!

Jonny and crew rock this town for hair and records. HiFi is, hands down, the world's coolest hair salon and record store. There is so much rock & roll memorabilia on display that, after 5 years of getting my hair cut there, I still haven't seen it all! Jon also happens to be a stand-up cat who gives so much back to the local community and local music scene. In this modern business world, he's a rare gem.

They give your hair the attention you never do, and it always looks amazing. I was researching places for my girlfriend to get her hair done for her birthday and I saw pictures of their work on Facebook and was impressed so I thought I would give it a chance it also fit her aesthetic. I couldn’t have been happier with the whole experience and results and neither could my girlfriend. She wants to go back from now on to get her hair done here. So worth the money. Wonderful people and wonderful atmosphere.

My wife and I have been going here since they opened and we'll never go anywhere else. Johnny and his merry band of styling bad-asses make us look amazing every time. We love the rock music, the rockabilly yard sale decor and the adjoined record store where we always pick up a vintage record or two. Shout out to Lindsey for making me look and feel like a rock-star after every visit!

Johnny is fantastic. Went for the first time yesterday wanting to cut off my very long hair. Had a blast. Got a very short pixie with a hint of punk haircut. Great ambiance. Everything about the experience was wonderful. Will definitely go back.

Loved the vibe of the place. I went in and got the tips of my hair dyed multiple colors and it turned out to be so good. I HIGHLY recommend going here for any kind of hair styling. The people are cool, the music is cool, and the decor looks awesome.

I don't think I've ever actually felt inclined to leave a review for any place I've ever been to- but I can't NOT share what a wonderful experience going here was. The salon itself is lovely and has such a positive atmosphere. Lindsey did my hair and I truly think she is a hair angel on earth. I wasn't happy with what had previously been done by another salon but she took the time to listen to me and she gave me exactly what I wanted. I haven't been this happy with my hair in years. Both the cut and color are perfect. If you're feeling frustrated and like you can't find a stylist that'll help you achieve your hair dreams... please try this place! I'm sad I hadn't gone to Lindsey sooner! I'll only ever be going to her when I'm in town from now on ❤

After several poor haircuts from other salons I finally decided I needed somewhere new and chose to go to my fiancé’s favorite place. I did not regret it! I have received the best haircut in years! They pay great attention to detail and you will leave happy :)

I got my hair cut short for the first time after I came out as lesbian. I’d come from a small town and always been told my face was “too fat to pull off” a short hair cut. I can not say enough good about the owner. He really put me at ease when I told him my fears. “This is my shop. I would refuse your business if I didn’t think it would look good.” Half way thru chopping off the hair I’d wanted to cut for good decade, I started laughing. I laughed hard. This had turned from terrifying to exhilarating. This really wasn’t scary after all. Here we are a week later. I feel liberated and thrilled. All of my queer friend love my new style and so do I. HiFi will have my business again, that’s for sure. I encourage everyone to check it out. Great place!

Really interesting place. Get your hair do ne and either while you wait or after look for a few used recordings. They have both CD and vinyl and shine very unusual and eclectic stuff at vey reasonable prices. Found at least 10 disc without looking hard. Make a plan for a visit!

Hifi Hair is my new favorite salon! Where else can you get a sassy new cut while listening to kick-ass music? And then go record shopping afterwards? I'm still recovering from a bad cut at another salon, and Lindsay was great. Love my fresh, new cut. You all rock! Can't wait until my hair grows out and I can come back.

Seriously?! A salon could be this cool?! I got to choose my own music from this awesome juke box they have there, chat about pretty much anything under the sun with no pretentious BS...seeing Rock-n-Roll images hanging on the walls (Replacements, Husker Du, Johnny Cash, Elvis....), sitting in faux leopard old style barber chairs and getting the best cut of my life!! All of this in one spot! Nice!! Coolest people ever...Thanks Jonnie for an amazing job!
