This curly friendly salon is a game changer for anyone with curly hair. From the front desk staff to the stylists, everyone in the salon is so kind and complimentary of everyone's hair and texture. Celeste is a treasure. I used to be so frustrated by my hair but now I love it and feel confident that I know how to care for it, in large part because of her! I always leave the salon with a confidence boost. I have recommended Curl Power to every curly haired person I know!

I had such an amazing experience with Paige at this location! I came in knowing nothing about my hair or the process and came out with new knowledge and a really great haircut. I've attached some before and after photos, I'm really thrilled. Paige was super helpful and really friendly and made me feel comfortable and non-judged throughout the appointment. Yesterday I saw Leah Berndt for a cut and color. She was super nice and explained everything (I haven’t had my hair colored a neon type of shade before, so it was new for me). I left with easy instructions on how to care for my hair. I teared up when I saw my hair fully completed in the mirror. My hair has never looked this good before! Also, she seems like a lovely person and is very talented at what she does. 10/10!

If you are a curly head girl, look no further, because you’ve found your spot here! I’m one of their very first customers and Curl Power is the best thing to happen to my hair. Rosie is my regular stylist, but over the years, if Rosie wasn’t available, I’ve seen other stylists at Curl Power and the results are always beautiful curls. They do a great job coloring and highlighting curls too. I think coloring and highlighting curls is truly an art because of all the bends and twists. The staff at Curl Power taught me how to wash my curls ( it really is different than washing straight hair) and how to style (using clips while my hair is drying to give my curls lift and bounce). For years I spent hours drying and straightening these curls, but never again. Now I embrace my curls!

I am African American with tightly coiled curls. The hair dresser did an awesome job on my hair as well as my daughter's. I was surprised that I was billed for 3 people. The cost came up to over $300 with tip. I wanted a cut for me, but my stylist wasn't able to do it, however, she said I could wait for another stylist to do it, but she could at least wash and condition my hair until the other stylist was finished with a previous customer. I didn't know I was going to have to pay 2 stylist, which I think was unfair. What do you think?

I've taken my mother three times now to get her haircut at this place. After years of seeing her frustrated with haircuts / stylists that didn't know how to work with her hair, we decided try Curl Power. Read raving reviews of this place and man, what a concept, a salon that caters to curly hair folk (& straight). Life changing. Made an appointment with Miriam the first couple of times (she's great) and the latest with Rosie (also wonderful). I don't believe you can go wrong with any stylist here. Each one is trained well and knows what they are doing. They not only listen to what you're looking for but TEACH you what to do. This is important if you're new to letting your curls BE. I truly recommend checking Curl Power out. They respect your curls. We will definitely keep coming back!

I saw Savannah and she totally rocked my hair! We did a bleach and fashion color, along with a haircut. The color turned out beautiful and very pigmented. She really listened to me about my concerns about wanting to grow my hair out, she took the time and went through my hair and cut off only what was needed to be cut off. Looking in the mirror I see a beautiful shape, beautiful color, and beautiful bouncy curls. Thank you again!!

Such a wonderful experience!! I worked with Celeste and it could not have been a better match. She was so knowledgeable of my hair and what my hair would work best with as far as product and cut. Not only was she able to answer all of my curly hair questions and made me feel heard, she was such a nice and caring individual. Rolando did my hair during my first visit today and I had a great time! The cut was awesome and I’m especially happy about the amount of care he gave me. I don’t really know how to work with my hair, and Rolando walked me through everything! We spent time talking about my curls/waves, what I wanted them to look like, and how to care for them. He taught me a lot and I left feeling like I actually know what to do!!

I went a here the first time today, I was paired with Taylor. #1, she's totally fun to talk to and #2 she's an amazing stylist. She fixed a bad haircut I've been stressing over for months, she asks just the right questions, and is a master of her craft. I will be coming back, also the salon staff is super friendly, the place is very clean, and there is a good amount of free parking.

Tay is the best! She’s the only one to touch my coily curls! Not only is she passionate but she’s educated when it comes to her craft and skills. She gave me extra tips on how to style, wash and maintain. Anybody that has curly hair knows how tough it is to find a great hair stylist and she’s the one. Curl Power is amazing! From the owner, to the atmosphere, to the quality I would recommend this place 1000 times over. This is the first salon I’ve been to where I didn’t feel judged or like I didn’t belong. The atmosphere is calming and the hair stylists are so welcoming and not in a cheesy way, they actually care about you. It’s refreshing to go to a salon where I feel comfortable. The owner cuts and colors my hair and she is fantastic. One time I left my computer at the salon after an evening appointment. I called her frantically after 9pm and she didn’t even hesitate to drive back to the salon to let me in so that I get it in order to make my 7am meeting the next day. Not only was she so kind to have done that, she’s given me business advice as well. She takes the time to really care about her clients and she also does an amazing job with cutting and coloring. My hair has never looked or felt better. If you have curly hair, go to this place and not only will you feel amazing from your new hair but you will also feel empowered and like you belong.

I Recently started going to this salon and Ceyonn did a twist outs and showed me how to do it on my own. She also recommended me some products that will keep my 4c hair hydrated and got a trim. I recommend anyone who’s new to taking care of their hair to go to this salon. Ceyonn has really been helping me with making my hair healthy.

Wow! Amazing! Those are the 2 words when leaving Curl Power salon today! My daughter and I had appointments today and a little on edge because we had never been here and have both had BAD experiences in the past with people not really knowing how to cut naturally curly hair. From the moment walking in the receptionist was warm and welcoming. And then we met Ari, whom was going to be our stylist. What a talented, fun and all around amazing experience she made for both of us today! She exceeded our expectations to the max! I recommend Curl Power and Ari 100%! I promise you wont be disappointed!! Thank you Curl Power Salon and thank you soooo much Ari! You rock!!!!

This place is incredible! As someone with quite curly hair, I have never once in my life walked out of a salon looking and feeling better than than I did when I walked in, until I went here. Curl Power is inclusive and welcoming, and the stylists are fantastic. They really, actually know what they are doing. Really. If you have hair with even a little texture, make an appointment. You cannot go wrong here.

I went in this morning for my first ever Deva cut/wash & style with Leah. I was so impressed. When I sat down in the chair, she sat across from me, and asked me about my hair. The simple act of sitting across from me and looking at me in the face rather than talking to my relflection in the mirror made me feel so listened to. She empathized with my complaints, quickly diagnosed why I was having so much trouble with my hair, and offered a lot of helpful ways to fix it, like root clipping and using a special shampoo to remove hard water buildup. When she wanted to cut off more than a half inch of length to frame my face, she made sure I understood how much she wanted to cut, and made sure that I was comfortable with it rather than just going in and chopping without my OK. When she was washing my hair, she asked me to feel my hair so I could feel the difference between before and after using the special shampoo. She also tested three different conditioners on my hair and had me feel each one. I was so happy that she took the time to really personalize my experience. A lot of curly girl method hair advice that I have read or watched on YouTube is geared to people with high porosity, dense, or dry hair but that is not my hair, so it was GREAT to have Leah help walk me through what my hair needed. At the end, Leah also wrote down all the products she used on a slip they have with instructions on the back about hair care. I will guard that slip like gold. The woman who checked me out at the end (I believe her name is Steph, but I am not sure), was also extremely nice. I truly could not have had a better experience. The only bad part is my hair grows so slowly that I won't have a chance to come back for several more months :-)

I got an EDUCATION at Curl Power with my stylist, Emily. She was extremely thorough, made sure I understood how and why each step is done, and tips and tricks to get the most out of my products. This was my first "dry cut", and I'm LOVING the results. I didn't need to wash my hair (not even dry shampoo) for 5 days straight, and the only reason I washed it today was because I got paint in it. I'm sure I won't master the process Emily taught me for awhile, but the concepts are there, and my wash turned out really nice today. Loving the shape and cut of my hair! Emily and I talked about the needs of my fine hair, my lifestyle, our climate, and how to nourish and nurture my curls taking all of that into account. I have been doing the Curly Girl Method for over a year now, and I wish I would have done this sooner. DO IT! The cut is more expensive, but the education and the process makes it's 100% worth it. Plus, I don't need to get it done that often. You won't be sorry.

The curls were always there, they were just waiting for someone who knew how to bring them back to life. Sam is awesome, she listened to me and what I wanted, checked regularly to make sure I loved the haircut and I ended up with much better hair than when I came in! Rosie cut my wavy hair for three years until I moved from the Twin Cities. A year later, I still miss her. She’s a wizard with curly, wavy, and thick hair, as well as a great listener—always making sure my needs were met, and always happy to make thoughtful, practical suggestions if I asked for them. I’ve never been to a salon, before or since, that cares so much for its clients and its community. Came here for the first time to cover some old highlights and I am beyond happy I found this place. Im superssuper picky with my hair and have had SEVERAL bad experiences in the past at other places who had no idea what to do with dark Mexican curly hair. I was so worried I'd end up with just a terrible all over color or worse. Boy was I IMPRESSED here. Everyone was really nice, the music was super chill and my stylist was so AMAZING! If you are a curly girl and have never been to a curl specialist salon, GO HERE. I promise it will be worth it!!

The cost does not equal results. I've been getting Deva Cuts for a few years now. Over those years the amount of silver in my hair has increased. My first and last trip to Curl Power was about eighteen months ago. When I made the appointment I told them that I had about half a head of silver and that my silver hair was very different than my brown hair. I told them I might need someone with more experience. I was assured that my stylist would be able to do a great job. The stylist wasn't able to go off-script. It was the same spiel, the same products, but now with a slightly demeaning undertones about how to care for my curls. My hair looked great walking out of the salon. I was never able to get it to look even a quarter of what it did that afternoon. One major hurdle is that I can't see the back of my head and know that the curls are forming correctly. I can see what is hanging down in front of my face as I sit in my shower. The other issue for me is that Curl Power does not take hair porosity into consideration. Because of that NONE of the Deva Curl products work on my hair. The brand loyalty that Curl Power - and all Deva Cut certified salons - exhibit are limiting and not in the best interest of the clients. Last but not least is the fact that I keep unsubscribing from theri mailing list and I keep getting added back on. I even get the unsubscribe confirmation page each time it happens.

Curl Power Salon is the best for hair of any texture. All the staff are so knowledgable about all hair types, and take so much time to check in with their clients throughout the cut that I never have to worry about how my hair will turn out.
