We were in town dropping off our older daughter at college. Our 16 year old wanted to get a good hair cut before we returned home, so she looked up reviews at Accolades and we booked online. We got an appointment with Kelly. She was amazing! She talked to my daughter the whole time, listened to exactly what she wanted (she has thin wispy hair), and taught her how to style her hair herself. We were super impressed with the rest of the staff as well. Thanks for such a warm and high-quality experience.

Had an excellent blow out and style from Lamy. It was honestly one of the most relaxing blow dry experiences and she added flat iron curls that stayed ALL day and night. She even offered to show me how to do them. She was so great, I will definitely be back to see her!

Kelly was amazing, kind/calm/professional…listened to me and gave great advice on how to cut my hair to maximize what was left while still being flattering. Great head massage with wash..environment of the salon was professional/stylish without being too intimidating. Highly recommend.

Angela gave an amazing self-healing facial. I enjoyed the lighter lymph massage and her energy was really positive and helpful. I left there feeling very happy and I'm going to see her again. The front desk person was very nice and I felt welcomed. Fun music too!

Got a Groupon for an organic mani/pedi set as a treat for myself, wanting relaxation more than perfect nails, and I'm happy with my experience overall. The spa was nice, staff seemed friendly enough, and I did leave more relaxed than when I came. That said, my nail tech didn't seem to have a lot of experience doing nails. She asked if my nails were smooth enough after filing. I pointed out 6 that were jagged, and she kind of bounced the file on top of my nails to smooth the edges, which in turn filed the top of my nails making them less smooth. The paint job is less than perfect (i.e., paint bubbles and smudges), which again, doesn't bother me much considering my reason for booking the service. But, I'd recommend specifying that you want an experienced nail tech if you are looking for a beautiful paint job.

I’m super disappointed in my recent experience with Accolades. My manicure was terrible. While receiving this service, I could tell the young lady was inexperienced due to the fact that she was leaving MULTIPLE areas of my nails without polish, like she was nervous to get any on my skin. As she was finishing up, I looked at one hand and noticed bumps, missing spots, and terrible brush strokes. I asked her to fix it and she just went over a few fingers and called it good. These pictures are from 1 day after getting my nails done. Multiple paint chips from the young woman going over it too many times to try and fix them, already look grown out cause she didn’t paint the whole nail. I sent good money on this “organic manicure” and the results are terrible. *UPDATE* Manager reached out and gave me a free manicure with a senior nail technician and was super kind about it.

From the moment I called to schedule my appointment to the moment I checked out I had the absolute best service!! Not only were the staff professional they were incredibly knowledgeable and as crazy as it sounds fun!! I haven't had that much genuine fun at a salon in years! Most of the time I cannot get in and out fast enough. So not the case with Sydney and Emily today!! I will be telling EVERYONE Accolades is the place to go! In fact a half hour after I left the salon two complete strangers complimented my hair and my brows!!! There's a much needed pep in my step and I thank Sydney, Emily and Accolades for this! ✨✨

I go to Josy and she always puts in so much thought and effort to give me the best color treatment, she is truly an artist! I’ve also seen other stylists and always been happy. I’ve gotten professional makeup done by AJ for a few weddings I have been in and from the beautiful eye makeup to the flawless airbrush application, I have always been thrilled. She truly makes everyone look like the best version of themselves for their special occasion. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Went in as a new client for a simple haircut. I needed about 5 inches taken off to get rid of all the damaged ends. Lamy did a great job framing and layering my hair just the way I like it. Very reasonably priced, and friendly service from the second I stepped in the door. I'll definitely be going back!

The service is super friendly and wonderful (5 stars for that), and my hair style/makeup experience with Chloe was excellent (5 stars), but the two mani/pedis I have had here were both 2 stars. It comes down to the quality of products and end result that hasn't been great with the manicure/pedicures. Last week i went in on tuesday night, I had to go back to fix a nail wednesday at noon, and the fixed nail then bubbled up within 12 hours (see picture taken the next morning from my manicure). My cuticles still look rough and the rest of the polish began peeling off by friday. Now a full week later my nails look yellow tinged from the base coat. One week after pedicure the polish is yellowing so need to remove. However the hair and makeup by Chloe was so stunning and the people so friendly, I have to give the place a 4 star review with the hopes they will improve their nail service!!

I saw Shelly for a color removal, layers of box colors from red to violet. My hair is coming in gray and the line between the gray and dark purple was too strong. Shelly used microfoils and pulled the old color from most of my hair. Now I have a wonderful range of colors that looks very natural and blends in well with my incoming gray. I couldn't be more happy. She cut and styled my hair as well. The salon has a great vibe and lots of good stylists.

I am happy with my haircut I suppose I would be happy for haircut no matter what because it had been a year since I had a trim even but she was pretty quick oK job I paid $52 for the haircut I wish I had gotten more done for the $52 that I paid but I was very pleased with the place itself and they give you a scalp massage and stuff so that was pretty cool I loved it

When I have an appointment at Accolades, I'm pampered, surrounded by smiles, and respected. Stylists are extremely talented and creative -- Josy has earned my complete & utter loyalty by ALWAYS executing my visions. Pricy? Yeah, but what do you expect? Marc is like a surgeon with getting stress knots out of my neck & shoulders when I go I for a massage. He’s been doing this for a long time and is the best. Julie was personable and friendly but I could tell she was a respectful person who would allow you to just sit in peace and enjoy your time if that's what you desired (we engaged in interesting conversation). Julie did an excellent job with my nail services. The reception staff were very friendly, as well. The salon had Sunday hours which fit my travel plans very nicely. Easy to find and a large, free parking lot. The owner makes a product line of natural skin care which Julie used on my hands and I was so impressed that I purchased an item. I would definitely recommend this salon.

I’ve been a regular client at accolades salon with a long time friend Paige for a year now. I am a low maintenance gal, that USED to get a hair cut once a year, if even.. But ever since I’ve touched base with Paige and started seeing her, in a year I’ve had 3 or 4 more hair appointments than the usual! I just don’t trust people with my hair. I usually let her recommend something and if I like it, we do it! I always leave feeling my best with a nice haircut and refreshed hair color. The rest of the staff is also so pleasant and attentive. I’ve found my hair salon, so give it a try!

They have bios of all the stylists on the website which was super helpful to be able to find my previous stylist Melissa! She could tell exactly what I wanted based off my description and understood how to cut my hair based off the shape of my face, hair thickness, and needs. Lola is such a gem, I absolutely loved her work! She knows her stuff. With her advice, she prevented me from going too gung-ho blonde, like I originally sought for with my balayage. Which was unrealistic on my part with my mess of grown out boxed hair dye of dark brown/burgundy and premature gray hair sprouts. Others with less expertise may have blankly gone for it, but would have left me with three different hair colors on a single hair strand, or dye that left my hair pink or brassy orange. Thank you so much, Lola! I was nervous at first because it was my first professional, non box dye, hair coloring at 28, and I am so grateful for your help and knowledge. I now have the warmer golden coloring, JLo glow vibe I adore and love even more than what I originally sought for. Plus, it matches my dark eyebrows way better. A professional like Lola knows what’s in your best interest! Great atmosphere, a sweetheart and welcoming receptionist that helped me with questions of Groupon and other pricing, and overall friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Chloe made sure to discuss my preferences and did her best to make me comfortable. The massage may not have been as relaxing as it could have been but not sure how much of that was due to her technique and how much is from my knots. She seems a little inexperienced compared to massages I have had before, but worth the value of the Groupon. EDIT after many hours of a sore neck and shoulder post massage that did not lessen, I've decided it was not the experience I was looking forward to.

Accolades is incredible! I highly recommend Chloe. I book with her every time and each time is a wonderful experience. The salon provides a very welcoming atmosphere with delicious tea and friendly receptionists. I prefer accolades to going to get a massage because by the time they are done coloring your hair, and providing you with a complimentary hand massage, scalp massage shampoo and mini-facial you feel extremely relaxed with a hair color that will give you confidence for an extended amount of time. Go to Accolades and book with Chloe, she’s the best!

I did schedule my appointment and finally got my hair cut done by Shelly, She is just amazing and is professional with her work. The quality of service matters a lot and I am satisfied with the work done on my hair and the staff is so welcoming! I was there for 1 hour and Shelly does wonders to hair with her magical hands and Scissors! I am waiting for my hair colour to be done and hoping to be the best as well!

After color mishaps, bad cuts and spending $$'s on my hair, I was totally frustrated with most of the "high end" shops in the Twin Cities and suburbs. You tell the stylist what you want? I even ended up with NOT silver toned hair at one shop but purple! I left the shop with purple hair. The stylist had NO idea why. I waited a year before I would let anyone touch my hair again. I found Accolades and said I want the best colorist you have, the top person, the one who trains others. Josie! Well, two cuts and colors in, I'm stunned at the beautiful pixie cut I dared to do and the silver tones in my hair are gorgeous. I drive to St. Paul, love the location, the scalp and neck massages, the hand treatments, but most of all? Josie. Nothing more be said. Five stars for a five star individual. You could tell, though, that the massage piece was really an after thought. I could hear the loud music outside of the private room I was in and it wasn't the most peaceful environment. Got my hair cut today with Josy and I’m so thrilled with the result! Unfortunately I had to come in because of a botched haircut and quasi-bang situation that happened last week at another salon. Accolades was totally different! Josy was so reassuring, did a thoughtful consultation with me, looked at all the pictures I brought and answered all of my questions (I tend to ask a lot). I felt like our communication was great and she understood exactly what I was going for. She made a plan with me to come back soon and improve the haircut even further after some of the bad layering (from the other salon) grows out. She even talked about styling with me and did some verbal troubleshooting about how I usually style my hair, and recommended a nice brush to me that they sell in the salon and taught me about types of hairbrushes too. I got a mini facial from her too and that was so nice, and I was so happy to hear that the products they use in the salon are more natural with minimal ingredients. Everything she used on me felt, looked and smelled great. Plus, they make great coffee there! :) I really can’t compliment Josy enough, she totally saved me! I will definitely be back and I’ll probably drag my boyfriend in with me to get his hair cut next time too, lol.

I got a root touch up but it did not go well I went from a golden blond, which I loved and did not want to change to a dark brown I trusted the stylist who suggested that she will mix two colors to bring up my color. I guess you can PAY to ruin your hair I am not happy at all I will never do my hair there again I don't even know what to do with my hair now and I have to wait for at least six weeks to change it. However, loved the massage and facial service I got Place is nice and clean except for the lack of diversity Its all Caucasians, I've been going there for years they offer tea, coffee, water mostly to their Caucasian customers I had to ask for my tee. Everyone’s experience is different because, we all are different their workers act like they never seen a black person in their life. They give this fake Minnesota Nice smile and I’m like don’t give me your fake smile give me a good service for my hard earned money I’m PAYING for it. Nonetheless, they ask for a feedback but no manager got back to me after I expressed my disappointment of receiving a bad hair service what is the point of asking for a feedback if they do not improve their service???? I love Aveda products and I spend a lot of MONEY on it and I also go there to get service not with my sister. It’s supposed to be a place people feel extra beautiful and pampered it can be stressful sometimes because of how some of the workers treat some customers. The truth is that I loved Accolades Salon few years back and I do not even go as much anymore.

A very welcoming and chic place! Doors we're wide open when I arrived. Such a great way to invite in customers. Got my Groupon main/pedi for here. Such a great deal! Staff is very professional, kind, and fun. The only thing I would say is if you're getting a glitter coat on top of your polish make sure your nail tech sticks to the color or coating amount as shown on the finger test. After she finished my pedi it wasn't exactly like the test we agreed upon. My glitter coat was overly done on my toes, though it looked very pretty. It looked more gray than white. I didn't quite notice that until we started my mani session. So I had her do less glitter for my mani and it looked a whole lot better. Overall, my nail tech was very sweet, attentive, and understanding. I had fun with her. Would definitely be back for more!

I have been going here for about 4 years. The staff is very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is comfortable and they give you coffee, cappuccino or aveda tea while you are waiting. I have always had Kelly cut my hair and she is awesome. She doesn't seem like she is forcing conversation like some stylists do. She remembers the way I like my hair cut and does it perfect every time. I had her do highlights once, and they were the best highlights I've had done anywhere. The salon keeps a record of who you have seen and what colors they used for your hair. They also do a mini facial while you get your hair washed and it is so relaxing. The haircuts are a little pricey but not out of the norm for a nice place. I will never go anywhere else.

I have gone to this location numerous times for a facial because the first few times I went it was amazing. The staff there are great and I have always had a good experience with them. I haven't had as great of experiences with the owners. Specifically, Angela doesn't give the best facials compared to the other staff here. One of the facials is supposed to include a foot massage but she doesn't provide that service even though it is supposed to be part of the paid service. Besides those few experiences though this salon is well-run and has wonderful staff. I will return because I love the facials here. It is just a let down when you are hoping for one experience and get something different.

Really great experience every time I get my hair cut. They aren't uppity or standoffish which is what I have experienced at other small boutiques like this. The person at the front desk is always friendly and helpful, I have never had any issues booking appointments over the phone. Alicia does great work so if you're a guy wanting a great 'do that doesn't look like you went to fantastic sam's or sports cuts, ask for her. Highly recommend going here for hair.

I had several services performed at Accolades using a gift card I'd been given for a graduation present. I had a massage, eyebrow wax, eyebrow tint, and pedicure. The massage was wonderful. The individual performing the massage seemed very skilled and also didn't try to have small talk. She just let me relax, which I loved. Moving on to the eyebrow wax and tint. The waxing was fine, but the tinting didn't accomplish anything. When the tinting was over, my brows were pretty much the exact same color. I ended with a pedicure. It was pretty good, but shorter than I have experienced at any other salon. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. I'd definitely recommend a massage!

I was looking for a hair place on Groupon and came upon Accolades. It looked like a good deal and I was excited that I received a facial as part of the package since I had never received one before. When I arrived I was immediately greeted and offered a drink. The staff was very friendly! My stylist found me and was very kind and appropriately chatty. The facial was really nice, and she explained what she was doing and what products she used during the process. My stylist also added an extra product to my hair after highlights were finished because she wasn't satisfied with the color. Over all, this was a great salon and I was happy with my hair when it was done. As long as they continue to offer Groupon's I will definitely go back.

I so appreciate that at Accolades it's easy to know exactly what is in the products, and although there is some salon scent, it's much less strong than in any other salon I've tried. Accolades Salon has exceptional costumer service. The hair stylists are kind, patient, accommodating. I'll start with why I only chose the 4 star rating - the cuts I've received have been okay. BUT. The color treatments I've received there have been unprecedented. I occasionally try a groupon at another salon for coloring and it's so disappointing once you've had the best. Truly, this is THE best hair coloring salon I have ever, ever experienced here or in Denver, CO. I recommend Accolades services to anyone, especially the color services. She gave me a cut that was a little risky for me and made sure I loved it. I don’t ever color my hair so this was a big deal for me. I was pretty nervous because I have naturally two-toned hair that is essentially white on the top. All the salonists remember your preferences and if you have to book with someone else, chances are they'll know what you like cause they're always working and communicating together! Honestly absolutely love the experience every time I go there. They are very happy and attentive artists. I always feel validated and most importantly listened to about what I want done with my hair. I have gotten 2 massages at Accolade Salon and Spa and they were great. I got massages from both Chandra and Brooke and they both have great technique. Chandra did a great job finding my problem areas and listened to what I liked. She also used hot towels during the massage which was wonderful. I saw Brooke after I did a run and she had more of a deep tissue technique which was just what I needed for my sore muscles. I do wish it was a tad bit quieter in the massage room, you can sometimes hear the other noises from the salon but they do a good job with music and aromatherapy to create ambiance. I have loved my massages and have another one booked for next week. Can't wait!

He always works to get that right shade of auburn. The mini facial, shoulder massage and, if I like, soak in the pedicure tub while my hair is under wraps is all part of the wonderful experience. The scheduling is easy, friendly and the hours fit very well with my schedule. Great experience, great place - won't go anywhere else!

Part of what I pay for is the relaxation, pleasure, experience - not just the improvement in my skin. Was told by email that the facial is 45-minutes, but it was under 30. Happy with the results, but would've preferred 15 more minutes of attention. Still, will be back!

I have gotten facials at Accolade in the past and have had great experiences. I love that they use all natural products. I have sensitive skin and have never once had a problem with breakouts. More recently I have been there for massage and LOVE seeing Chandra. She is amazing, and as a new client their "triple play" promotion makes 1 hour massages affordable. I would HIGHLY reccommend her for massage services. The only reason this review is 4 instead of 5 stars is because the massage and facial rooms are not very well sound proofed. If the salon isn't busy the noise level isn't too bad, but if you get a loud conversation happening near the door you can hear every word. Interrupts the relaxation a little bit!

I really like Accolades. Right after they check you in, the receptionist immediately offers you a drink and makes you feel at home. My stylist was very meticulous when cutting my hair. He took his time, looked at all the different angles as he was cutting. The haircut was very good. Thank you!

It is always hit or miss. The girls that work there seem to frequently leave so when I get a new one I am usually not happy with my hair. It would be nice if when getting a new stylist they would listen as I KNOW what works and doesn't work for my hair. It would be nice if they would stay with the same color company so it can be stored in the computer for the next person doing my hair. I do like the product line created at Accolades minus all the dye coloring on the label running off.

Accolades is one of the best salons I've visited in the Twin Cities. I moved here from Duluth, and was worried about not being able to find a salon that had the same quality as the one I left behind. Bought a Groupon for Accolades, scheduled an appointment with Alecia, and loved it. Alecia knows how to do blonde hair which is very hard to find! Not only did I end up with amazing hair but I received a free mini facial and foot scrub! This place has a great environment, staff, and I will continue to go back!

Jenny and her staff treated myself and my large bridal party right! I have gone to Jenny for years. She's friendly, remembers my life-stories, is personable, and does a great job on my hair. The facial that accompanies the cut is always a nice touch and adds to the relaxation! It was an easy choice to do our hair here the morning of my wedding! The staff was accommodating and fun. We got in and out in the time needed. Only downfall, one of the stylists, a male, was horrendous at doing updo's. He should have spoken up that he was uncomfortable doing them. We returned to the church and called back to ask for a re-do style with a different stylist. They absolutely agreed, told her to come back right away and they would get her right in. My bridesmaid's hair ended up looking fabulous!!

I booked a 90 min massage and when it was all done and I was dressed and out of the room there was still about 10min left...so I really only ended up getting ~70min massage. I mentioned I didn't like to talk and to focus on my back, she talked to much at the end, trying to sell me some oil and didn't do much on my back at all. It wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best. The salon over all looked nice, the massage room was nice, but she played music similar to what is on Cities 97, not relaxing music that you usually get at a massage. Everyone was super nice, but not sure I will be back.

I was instantly greeted upon my arrival and offered a beverage, I happily accepted a cappuccino, which was wonderful! Since I had never received a facial before, I had no idea what to expect. My technician was very helpful and explained the process and the products she was using very well. I was completely relaxed and was so sad when it ended. I just wanted to stay there all day! I was also given a $10 off my next visit - so that was a great surprise. I have taken a look at what all the salon offers and I don't think I would ever pay full price for anything. So as long as they remain on Groupon, I will remain a customer!

I absolutely love Accolades. I always get great customer service. As soon as I walk in the door, I'm offered a beverage (cappuccinos or mimosas anyone?) while I wait. The appointments are always on time. They offer a wide array of services. I've had manis, pedis, facials and massages. My stylist is Jenny Aho. She is truly an artist and always does an amazing job. She is really good at listening to what you want and executing it. It doesn't matter if my hair is long or short, I always leave the salon looking amazing. My color is always beautiful and I always get compliments on it. While I'm waiting for my color to process, I get to soak my feet and she gives me a complimentary foot scrub. She also provides the best head massage when you're in the sink while getting your hair washed. Accolades also sells a lot of great products, including Aveda, so I can stock up while I'm there. I highly recommend Accolades!

I change my hair often. I used to go to only cheap, walk-in hair salons. They were hit or miss, but I told myself I was saving a fortune, and I could be impulsive. My husband had been going to Accolades for a bit and convinced me to try it out. They got me in right away. There was a wash and mini facial included with the hair cut. It was super enjoyable. My cut was what I had in mind, but taylored to my face and hair. Best of all, they offer free follow-up bang and neck trims, so I feel like I am not wasting money on a high maintenance cut. I have been comming to Linea with all of my whacky hair ideas for over 2 years now. I am a loyal customer who still gets to be impulsive and doesn't feel like she is wasting a cent.

Always professional. I brought my 4.5 year old for her first pedicure and they took great care to make her feel welcome. They only charged for a "polish change" for my daughter, but still did the prep and primp on her feet and toes. You can't get that pricing in the mall and these products are so much better!! It was a bonus with their new light up iridescent foot soak tubs. I never go anywhere else for my foot care. There are often groupons and I have never had issues getting in for an appointment.

Alana is excellent, the room is comfortable and soothing, and the products are all natural and smell wonderful. The products they use are totally safe for me.] I have also had the Anti-Oxidant Blast Facial which I enjoyed very much.

To find a salon open on a Monday is one thing. To find one open on Memorial Day is another. To get an appointment with someone (Melissa, who has been working at the salon for 10 years) was quite the Memorial Day miracle. I hate cheating on my regular hairdresser, but I must say that I'm close to switching now. For $49 I got a shampoo, facial (with facial massage and hot towel), men's haircut, blow/style, and neck shave with hot cream. (That sounds dirty, but I didn't mean it to be.) To be honest, my jury is still out on the cut itself, but I've been going to the same person for so long that any diversion seems suspect. And any quibbles will likely be minor in the long run; I have a feeling that after I wash and style myself I will be quite satisfied. I certainly appreciated the time and care Melissa showed, and the front desk staff was equally kind and welcoming.

The self healing facial w/Brooklyn was one of the best spa experiences I've ever had. My sensitive skin had no problems with their products, just what my winter skin needed. I especially appreciate that she was not overly chatty and her choice of relaxing yet modern music was a nice touch! I went in for a facial. It was quite busy, so I didn't know what to expect, but once I was in the room, it was nice and relaxing. They didn't do extractions for my first visit, but I was fine with that. The massage portion was great! Really, the whole thing was great. The room was decorated nicely and I loved the music they played. I would go back.

This is probably one of the nicer salons I've gone to, but the prices are pretty steep to match the nice atmosphere. If you want a spa experience with your cut and color, I think this is a good place to go. All the stylists are good, and they have a lot of last minute availability.

I was welcomed warmly, and received a mani/pedi for my wedding. I really enjoyed the relaxing experience, especially the house-made four ingredient organic oils and lotions that were used. I also enjoyed the experience with the woman working on me. She was really nice. I think her name was Jennifer. I forgot to pick up the card that she had for me. I do have to say I was disappointed with the way my toe and finger nails looked upon looking at them later that night. The polish I'd had on was still peeking through, and was not completely removed before putting on the new color. As far as the polish, I really felt I could have (and have done) a better job myself. One fun perk was the free bottle of polish I received!

Came in with a groupon looking for a new stylist. Got the highlight and haircut deal. She did a decent job on my blond highlights, but hardly cut anything off afterward. Since blond is so damaging to my hair, I expected an inch or two chopped off, but...it was crazy, she highlighted very thoroughly, but didn't cut it in an organized way even though I asked for a little more cut off than a usual trim. It was an ok salon, but even with all the draws they use to get people in the door, I won't be returning because I felt a lack of caring and desire to connect with their clients.

Gianni is a scientist when it comes to color correction! She carefully planned how to work with each section of growth/dye in my hair so I could have a consistent vibrant red (from dark brunette). The person who did my mani/pedi was really nice, but the products they used for the manicure really don't seem to be the best. The polish didn't go all the way to my cuticles and it was literally peeling off on my drive home. It peeled off a ton around my cuticles, but not near the tips of my nails, so I don't have a clue what went wrong there. I ended up taking the polish off that same night since it looked so bad. Kind of disappointed. It was my first time there and I'm not sure I'll be back after that. I did really like the pedicure, they were much gentler than other places I've gone in the past.

I've been using Groupon-type discounts for massages in the Twin Cities, trying to find something different. I rarely have a "bad" massage (although it has happened.) What I found at Accolades with Deana as the therapist was a not just a good massage - it was a SURPISINGLY good massage. Quite frankly, I wasn't sure what to expect. I've been to some very nice spa's. I thought the ambience was just average, but the treatment blew me away. I finally found a place where the service was so unique, I would happily pay full price. I grant you that interpretation of these kinds of things can be very subjective. I raved about the service to my wife, and she went to visit Deana. She ALSO was convinced. My wife occasionally has back pains but rather than go to a chiropractor, she would prefer to go to Deana. I give Deana's service an enthusiastic thumbs up!

Accolades is a nice place, but nothing fancy. I received a groupon deal for a massage and a mani-pedi. I got my massage from Lorena and she was great! She used the right amount of pressure and was accommodating to my needs. Surprisingly, it was quiet in the massage room and I didn't hear the noise from out in the salon. The building is small and cramped, so I was expecting to hear the hair dryers and people talking. Then I got a mani-pedi from Hailee. The salon doesn't have as many colors to pick from as I was hoping. Hailee was great! She was slow and careful. I like that the salon uses healthy organic products for the mani-pedi. I'll come back and visit for special occasions, but the price, service, and distance from my home will keep me going to my little nail salon in town.

I went in and got my hair cut today. It started as a VERY unpleasant experience with Alex. She was very rude to the owner in front of clients and other staff members, and she was not interested in doing a proper consultation with me in the least. I knew that Brad, the owner was supposed to do my hair, so I was about to walk out and get a refund on my Groupon, if Alex was going to continue. I held my tongue and her attitude toward me was uncalled for. She shouldn't be working in the service industry. Brad cut a lot of my hair off and although it is too short for me, the haircut was good. He gave me a great consultation and was very pleasant to work with. However, the Groupon stated I was paying for a full foil ($109) and a haircut ($45+), but I got a full hair color ($79) and a cut ($45+). The Groupon also stated I would get a complimentary facial and foot scrub, but was offered only a foot soak. I like the salon, but the Groupon was not true to what I paid for it ($89). I am looking for a salon to get my hair cut and colored every six months from now on, and I am not sure if I would feel comfortable going back with Alex's cheap attitude.

I have wavy brown hair and he always gets a great cut so it never curls into that unfortunate xmas tree/triangle shape - I can just wake up and go with my curls most days now! He also keeps notes of color so you can always do the same or try something from before. I also appreciate that he is not pushy about products or judgmental about hair-care, just really helpful, thanks! Best gel mani also - I needed a mani for a special occasion to last, so I went a week in advance, as that was all my schedule could accomodate, and Sam did an awesome job! It lasted well past the event, and I looked great for it!

I liked the salon, it had a very nice and comfortable atmosphere. I had a manicure and a gel pedicure. The manicure and pedicure felt great. Something I would very much do again at this salon. The only small problem I had was the gel french tip I received. I had to pay an extra $10 for it and to be honest, it wasn't that good. There was no shape to it, it's supposed to follow the shape of the nail. Other then that the lady was very nice and I in no way want to be mean. I didn't want to call and say anything because she did work on the french tip a while and she meant well. I would come back for the mani and pedi services, maybe I'll just stay away from the gel.

I have always had a good experience at Accolades, no matter who I have seen. And I have seen several different people because often when I request someone, it ends up being cancelled or changed to someone else. Make sure if you have a groupon, you do not try to use another within 6 months. I went in, and explained I had a groupon I would like to use, they said "ok, great", and I did not find out until I was checking out that I could not use it. Other than that, it is a comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere and everyone has done a great job with my hair and nails.

I've gone to Accolades for haircuts and waxing; both are always very pleasant experiences. Everyone is really nice and professional, and you're offered herbal tea upon arrival (love that). Haircuts come with a free neck & shoulder rub! Waxing is done in a small room with a door (we all know they aren't always set up that way), with low-lighting and a heated, contoured table covered in a sheet. It's very comfortable and pleasant, and their aestheticians have superb technique. Other comments are right -- you pay a little more, but it's worth it, especially when you can pick up an internet promotion/coupon.

OK! I am so so on this Salon. First time I was there I got me hair dyed I went from Black with red to light brown, The guy did an amazing job it wasn't blonde blonde but he brought it back to a more natural color. NOW the last time i was there for a hair, I told the lady on the phone I have a pixie hair cut..OK so I got an appointment I went in and.. ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE, I mean it was the worst hair cut i have ever had. The lady new nothing about short hair, but she acted like she did..All she did was take scissors and started to cut my entire hair, she didn't do any layering, razor shave nothing, I had bald spots all over my head, But it wasn't till i got outside that my cousin realized how bad it was in the back..take me to cost cutters and they would of done a better job.. Thankfully I got my money back

I've had some sensational haircuts at Accolades, and one of the best massages ever, but my last experience wasn't as terrific as previous ones have been. The welcoming staff, great shampoo, very nice facial during the shampoo were all up to standard, but the stylist seemed - well - she seemed disappointed that she had to cut my hair. I don't know whether I didn't seem hip enough, but her disdain was palpable. She cut me off as I was describing the style I'd like, "Sit down so I can see your hair." So I sat. I showed her a picture of the cut I'd like - a picture I've used in the past at Juut salon with good results (as you can see in my profile pic) It's a photo of a woman near my age with a layered chin length cut. I explained that my hair was very curly, and curled even more when it was shorter. It needs the weight of a small bit of length and the heaviness of my hair to allow it to lay nicely. I told Alex that I never blow dried my hair, and that I did NOT want my hair thinned in ANY WAY. I just wanted it layered. (I know from experience that my curly hair will stick out like an afro when it's thinned.) Unfortunately, evidently Alex didn't like cutting thick, curly hair because after an initial shaping with scissors, she gave me a complete blow out and FLAT IRONED my hair before the actual styling. With my back to the mirror (perhaps not realizing I could easily see everything she was doing in the facing mirror) Alex took her shears and thinned my hair. She held a lock out at a 90º angle and chopped into it in 3 places, chop-chop-chop, all over my head. I was so stunned, I was dumbfounded. It was over before I could say anything. Alex said, "That will feel SO MUCH BETTER, won't it, not so much hair!" No, it' doesn't feel better, it feels like someone else's thin hair. The smoothness of the cut lasted exactly until I showered and shampooed, when it curled into a shaggy, multi-length do reminiscent of Melanie Griffiths, circa 1998.
