Went in for a wedding later that day, with extensions and wanting my hair with big volume curls. After discussing with marina how my hair typically would lose a majority of the curl within a few hours we discussed how to best ensure I would keep my voluminous curls all night long. I appreciated her coming up with an alternative way to curl my hair and taking time to listen to my concerns and how I wanted my hair to look. Ultimately we used a flat iron instead of a traditional curling iron to achieve my desired look, and it was perfect! They last all night and even managed to pull off a more beach wave the next day! Marina was so fun and easy to work with, would recommend her over and over again!

My daughters and I have been going to dry bar at least twice a month for almost 4 months now. We have encountered some great stylists - Charles, Lyssa, and Fatima, and a new girl I believe Aria did a great job on my little girls hair. I love that my girls and I can all get our hair done at the same time but I wish there was more consistency when it comes to stylists knowing how to deal with textured hair. I also wish that stylists would honor product requests and style requests. I specifically asked for a product in my hair and instead got a ton of hair spray and super stiff hair today. I’m also disappointed that the price went up for barfly members. I totally get the changes in our economy and inflation is crazy right now but hair is not a necessity for most people. The customer service is generally great. There is a front desk girl that usually works in the late afternoon or evening that my daughter loves. Today I encountered a girl that did not even check me in. One of my daughters started 30 minutes before myself and my other daughter. There was no apology for the long wait or the miscommunication so that was also disappointing. If you get a good stylist it can be a great experience. I think consistency is key and I’m just not sure that the third ward drybar can offer that at this time.

Drybar is my go to place when I have a few days off work! Once styled my hair last days which is the best part. All employees, especially Carson, are absolutely fabulous. If you need some “me time” this is deff the place to get and get a little pampered. Plus they always play good movies while doing your hair.. highly recommend!!

I enjoy this salon. It’s a nice size space to accommodate a lot of clients. I have been going here for the whole five year they have been open here. I like the membership option to save some money on blowouts as well as products. There is always a fun pop up event happening too. Decent promos offered as well online such as a free add on occasionally on their instagram page. For the most part I like the hair styles I get here. My favorites styles are the old fashioned and the cosmo. I have long hair so doing my own hair is a lot of work. They make you feel pretty and staff is friendly. Some styles don’t work for me but if you find what does it is worth the money.

I have been a barfly for over 2 years. I really love Drybar. I typically switch between the maitai and cosmo and am very rarely disappointed. The girls that work there are all incredibly friendly and their customer service has been top notch everytime. Just this past week my 8 year old daughter and I went for blowouts for her birthday. They treated her extra special! I have never requested a specific stylist and I think there was maybe one out of over 30 times going I fixed it a few hours later. Now the things I don't like about the barfly membership program specifically- they increased it in price (they also increased the cost of a blowout by $5) and I feel like some benefits were taken away. Other than that I don't regret having a membership and the -1 star has nothing to do with this location specifically but rather the franchise itself. Great place, you should go 🫶

I had my hair done here for my wedding and was so happy with how it turned out! The appointment was super quick and my hair stayed all day (about 14 hours) with no touch ups or anything, and we took pictures on Lake Michigan so it held up to some pretty strong winds!

Went to do a bridal trial today and everyone there and the atmosphere was nice but we ended up not being given the $10 first timers dicount at checkout even though we booked through the app and it was applied there. The waves barely held up after 3 hours with 2 coats of hairspray so it wouldnt last through a whole wedding

When I am not wearing braids, Drybar is my go-to salon. No frills, just blow outs. The stylists are friendly, listen to my needs about having extra dry hair and needing more product/moisture than naturally straight hair, and I always leave feeling good about my look! I also enjoy that they're open early and close late, meaning I have time to make my appointment work with my schedule. If you're looking for a reasonably priced blowout that will make you feel fabulous, check them out!

This was my first experience getting a blow out and I was not expecting much due to my heavy hair weighing down any style I have tried. On my drive in I hit some traffic and called to let them know I may be a few minutes late. The girl that answered was so sweet and reassured me that I have a ten minute cushion that they can accommodate. Luckily I still arrived five minutes early. The decor inside was so chic. All of the verbiage is “bar” style like “Triple Sec” the three in one finishing spray. I had a seat and browsed the “menu” for my hairstyle. I was quickly greeted by my stylist who took me back to wash my hair. He was chatty and our conversation flowed easily. He then asked a few questions before I ordered my “Cosmo-Tai,” a combination of their Cosmo (loose curls) and Mai-Tai (messy beach hair). I was offered a refreshment and was given a surprisingly good glass of Sauvignon Blanc. To be honest, he could have stopped after the blow dryer. I already had gorgeous volume and body. He then curled my hair a little tighter so that there was room for it to loosen up without losing too much curl. I have seriously been considering joining the dry bar membership program. One thing to note is that this is in the third Ward so parking is tight. I was able to snag a spot less than a block away but that was at 4:30 on a Thursday. Be sure to give yourself an extra 15 minutes if you schedule anything after 5:00 or on the weekends.

Love Drybar Milwaukee! I highly recommend this business. Easy to make an appointment online, love to have someone wash and blow dry my hair and have a fabulous style when I leave. My blow dry lasts a good 3-4 days which makes getting ready those mornings much faster. The shop is beautiful and clean. The products and styling tools are wonderful. I also like to add on services like an extra scalp massage or a hair mask…..super relaxing and great for your hair. The stylists and front desk folks are talented, helpful and make the experience fun. Joy, the owner and operator, took a dream and turned it into a reality for her amazing employees and customers. Can’t wait for my next visit.

Very cool and awesome place! A local salon specializing in just blow outs for all ethnic hair types! My stylist Amanda was very professional yet down to Earth and informative! I was able to come in the same day for a style and the price was right for me! No fuss, just straight to what you are looking for! I am excited that I found a place to go to when I am not wearing any braids or locs in my hair, which also has no chemicals besides color, so that was a plus for me to be able to still get a pretty hairstyle the first time being a customer!

I booked an updo for a formal wedding I was attending later that night. I just wanted a simple top-bun. My appointment was at 1:45 and I got there around 1:35 knowing that I was early and might have to wait. Around 2:00 a stylist and front desk staff member came up to me and asked what kind of updo I wanted because the stylist only had about 20 minutes before her regular came in and wasn't sure if she would be able to do me in time. I asked them if they could wash my hair first because it needed it. I had a different ceremony that I attended earlier that morning and my hair really needed to be washed. I was told they could not wash it because they did not have the time and they typically do not wash for updos. I told them that my hair holds really well when washed and they still said no. I also showed them the text I received from their salon 2 days prior that said updos typically do not wash hair BUT if you feel like you need your hair washed you can tell your stylist and get it washed. They sat me down in a folding chair in the middle of the waiting area. Not the most ideal place to sit, even the stylist said it was not enough room to do an updo. There was no mirror for me to see what she was doing and she did not have the space to put her pins. About 15 minutes into the stylist combing my hair and attempting to put a rubber band in to start the bun, we walked over to a mirror so we could actually see how it was looking. My hair was so incredibly greasy and oily when I looked in the mirror. It was terrible. I asked for at least some dry shampoo and was told they don't do that. That baffled me because the whole place is filled with dry shampoo sprays! I told them there was no way I would leave looking like that. The stylist kept telling me she had no time because her next appointment was already there (she came early too). Eventually I settled for a regular blow-out and was assigned to a different stylist. It was so unfortunate that this place overbooks and does not staff accordingly. I was told that they had 2 people call off the day before. I wish they would have learned how to make adjustments when that happens. It was just complete chaos.

EDIT - Joy reached out to me to discuss coming back to work with a different stylist. I had a much better experience and outcome working with Charles. He asked plenty of questions and paid attention to my responses to create the best result. I left with a smooth, wavy blowout that lasted for the next several days. I would highly recommend Charles to any gals with a naturally curly hair texture. Thanks again, Joy and Charles!! -- Ladies with curly hair - BEWARE! My hair is a natural 2C curl type and the results of my blowout were disappointing, to put it politely. I advised my stylist of my natural hair type and that I had scheduled the appointment because I had an event the next evening. I explained that I wanted a smooth blowout with volume and a gentle curl. She then shampooed and conditioned my hair rather aggressively, as well as aggressively blow dried my hair, to the point where I started to feel pain in my neck. She curled my hair, but missed several sections/pieces. I noticed the burnt hair smell as soon as I left the salon. By the time I returned home, my hair was a frizzy nightmare. Overall, I was very frustrated and disappointed with the results of my blowout, especially considering the amount that I paid for the poor service I received. I would not recommend DryBar to anyone with curly hair.

Needed a blowout for an event. 8AM appointment, Drybar open with clients already having their hair done. My appointment started on time and I was done in about 35 minutes. All went well. Stylist and front desk pleasant to deal with.

Such a fun experience! I tried the dry style this time, which means you wash and dry your own hair at home and then the drybar stylist styles it for you. I tried Drybar in downtown Milwaukee for the first time a couple weeks ago. I would highly recommend this salon. My hair looked great. They offer multiple blow out styles which I love because everyone does not want the straight look. They kept to schedule, called me back right away and style took only 30-45 minutes. I am definitely going back. I can not wait until there is a location in Brookfield- looking forward to it. I hope they keep up with the good work and service. 😁

It looked amazing and I got so many compliments I felt super special all night. I've been to DryBar twice since they opened and I'll definitely be going back again. As someone who can't do their own hair to save their life I appreciate the staff at DryBar so much! Its definitely an experience as well - from the snacks available right when you check in, to the unlimited drinks option, and the movies on the TVs to watch while you're getting your hair done, it's a nice break from reality! The first time I went it was before a charity event I was co-hosting. I wanted to look great but not have to worry about my hair holding up all night. My hair looked perfect for more than 12 hours of running around, putting out fires, and a million pictures. It even looked great the next day! The second time I went wasn't as great but it was just for fun anyways. The stylist decided I had "great hair" and she didn't need to use a curling iron at all. My hair looked more like a style from the late 60s than what I was actually hoping for. That being said, don't be afraid to tell them what you want! Next time I'll make sure to do that. Whatever products they make and use are fantastic - my hair looks and smells great 2-3 days after my visit without showering. A lot of their stuff is available at Ulta however, so I recommended picking it up there to save a few bucks. All I can do is hope they open another location soon somewhere out in the suburbs so I can get my Drybar fix more often!

Words can't describe my experience with Joy the owner of the Blowdry bar! We were in town for my sons wedding in Milwaukee and when my mom and I were done with our great blowouts Joy saw me in front of the salon freaking. Uber couldn't come up the block because of a street fair. I was then late for my makeup appointment Joy grabbed us and drove me to makeup and my mom back to her hotel!!!
