Amazing experience. The salon was clean and well maintained, the owner was kind and found a time slot for me. Additionally she has very reasonable prices for all the services. She has over 20 years of experience cutting hair and it shows. I have thick and coarse hair, but she said she has experience with all hair textures. When I showed her a model with different hair texture than me, she took time to talk to me and understand what I wanted/ what I could expect. Seriously, a 10/10 from me. Will absolutely recommend in the future.

I’ve been getting my hair done by Melissa for years before moving out of VT and I recently visited and got a balayage which I love! Overtime, I learned the best way is to work with Melissa is by letting her know what I’m looking for by showing pictures. She is such a kind and attentive hair stylist and I enjoy talking to her about her past whenever I visit. I also enjoy the friendly family-owned atmosphere (support your small businesses!). I always try to book an appointment whenever I visit VT!

The owner, Melissa gave me the best haircut I have had in over a decade! I grew up spoiled with a hairdresser in the family and since that is no longer an option, I not only am apprehensive to trust someone else but also am extra critical now that I have to pay lol YET after a dozen different stylists over the years, I have finally found my new salon!!! This was my first experience there. She was able to fit me in shortly after my requested time yesterday. Melissa also touched up my brows and gave them a nicer shape. She was professional and very very easy to talk to. We talked everything from hair to family then even hunting and fishing! Thank you, Melissa! I will certainly be back!!!

First time customer because it was down the street from work, and the owner slid me in within an hour. Easy cut but I have to say she must have had freshly sharpened tools or something because there was no pull at all. Pleasant lady, good conversation, good prices! 30 minutes before close, I called Golden Scissors, hearing only good things, not expecting an opening but trying nonetheless. You see, I have an interview tomorrow, and am still sporting COVID hair. “I’m with someone right now, can I call you when I’m done? It’s a big job” Well, 5 came and went, I wasn’t worried, the job will want me for me right? Wrong, wrong, RING! “I’m sorry, I’m ready now, come in and I’ll make sure you’re good for your interview ” Not only did Melissa stay open 2 hours after close, but she did a wonderful job (my hair is curly and I struggle to find someone i trust), provided wisdom for my interview, and I left feeling great! I’ve found my spot, and Melissa you have a new regular. Thank you!

I was very pleased with my experience! She's a local lady, that doesn't mind sharing some details about herself. With all the pandemic stuff going on, she was prepared to handle that as well. I did need to wear a mask while getting my hair cut, but it was well ventilated in the building and there was hand sanitizer for before and after your visit as well. I'll be coming back to get my hair cut at Golden Scissors again!
