First time going for a Brazilian! I made an appointment the day of so I wouldn’t chicken out. Receptionist was super nice. I saw Stacey and she was wonderful! Very good at keeping me distracted with conversation and at the same time checking in to make sure I was OK. The experience was not pleasant (as with any waxing) but the service was wonderful.

I have been coming here to see Sara for almost 6 years. She is the absolute best when is comes to waxing & making you feel comfortable throughout the process. There is no one else I trust more than Sara when it comes to being "all up in my business". Side note: I've been a little nervous going anywhere because of COVID, but they are very, very clean & take all the necessary precautions to make sure everyone is safe. Very happy, as usual, with my results & happy to be back on my regular schedule!

Ask for Mel. She is wonderful! I am very pain sensitive and have had many painful experiences (not at the Wax Bar) and until I went to Mel I always dreaded my Brazilian waxes. Mel is quick and almost painless. I don’t know how she does it, but finally I do not dread my monthly wax! She is very professional, friendly and the best waxing experience I have ever had. Thanks Mel! The Wax Bar in Ballard has a clean and relaxing interior with an adorable little shop in front. I’ve picked up many gifts for friends and family while waiting for my wax and I usually buy a candle for myself every time I’m there. The reception is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend The Wax Bar and Mel specifically.

I go here for my brow wax. These guys are the best, especially Sara. My brows look polished, symmetrical and are done just the way I request, every time. They are careful and detail-oriented. Their COVID precautions are excellent. So glad I found them!

This was my first time at the Wax Bar and picked it based on the great reviews and word of mouth references from friends. I can't say enough about how great the experience was! I admit to having been very nervous since I hadn't this type of service before, but Sarah was amazing and put me right at ease. The place was spotless, the aestheticians wore masks and plastic shields, and it felt very comfortable, which is critically important these days. I'm definitely going to be a regular!

I have been visiting The Wax Bar for years and stopped by for my usual services yesterday. Can't recommend them enough for your waxing needs! Sara is my go-to esthetician and she always does an amazing job! I was also very impressed with the care taken to make customers feel safe and comfortable despite COVID. Everyone was wearing PPE (masks, face shields, gloves), rooms are cleaned & sanitized before/after treatments, hand sanitizer is readily available to all, and symptom checks are performed on customers prior to services.

I have always had a good experience here! I frequently have Deb for my waxing services. She is really great and detail oriented. The whole boutique is super cute and the curated wares are fun to look at while you wait. Quality services, you don't feel rushed by the staff. They take their time and they do a great job.

Great for wax & gifts! I've been a long time client of Connie, but all of the people that work there are great. I also love their gifts and skin care (Somme) - I always leave with something for myself or someone else. I bought several Christmas gifts there this year! They are always personable, and I love the on-line booking. I almost always find parking out front or along the street. Highly recommend.

I stop in here when I have a fancy occasion to go to and I don't feel like doing yoga in the shower to shave my legs. The girls here are very nice and the rooms are very relaxing and comfortable. Been a few times and been happy with the service and results each time!

I was really skeptical when looking at places to get a wax; since it was my first time, I wanted to find a place with quality service, hygienic practices, and decent prices. That's exactly what I found at The Wax Bar! The ambiance is very cute, cozy, and relaxing, and every member of the staff I have talked to is extremely nice. I originally made an appointment with Deb, and still do to this day! She's very down-to-earth and has got a lot of experience. She calmed my nerves about the whole ordeal when I was new. I'm very pleased with the results, and it didn't break the bank!

This place made me an addict. To waxing that is. It's clean, quick and easy. I've been seeing Kayla for a while and she does a perfect job every time. I would recommend the wax bar to anyone who might be feeling nervous about a bikini or Brazilian. They even serve alcohol to calm your nerves and have a nice selection of candles and accessories. They also have happy hour specials on the weekdays from 1:00 - 3:00 if you can make it at that time.

Go in for brows a few times a year and usually get whoever is available and have never had a bad wax with any of my providers. Great happy hour brows deal too! Very friendly front desk.

They use strip waxing method and I’m not a fan of this. Never been to a business that uses this method. Seemed more painful. I was bleeding in multiple places after my wax. However, They were very accommodating to my needs.

I've been getting my eyebrows waxed here for a few years and I can definitely say everyone does a great job. Coming here feels like a little break from the day. The shop area always has cute stuff to buy and nothing is better than a cold beverage while waiting.

Sure the decor is cute and you can get a beer and some earrings if you want. That's nice. But the reason I keep coming back is that Deb does a perfect lip/brow with minimal coaching in 8 minutes flat. It's a dream.

A couple of the waxers are great - saw Karen on Friday and she missed loads if hairs on both my legs and left some sizable pink welts on my skin. Really not worth $125.
