First time i ever got waxed was at hello sugar with the promotion of free bikini wax and I've stayed with them for years. I did *cheat* on hello sugar when i saw a Groupon. It included 3 wax sessions and i only used one. It was terrible and I'm loyal to hello sugar now. I've seen several beauticians for this service and i have zero complaints on any of them. They are all literally amazing. I have the membership and it makes it so convenient. You can also pause or reschedule by text which is awesome. There is a fee if you're a no show but I've rescheduled the day before and they've been more than accommodating without charging the fee. If you've never been waxed and are curious definitely give them a try.

The tech that did my brazilian did an excellent job and was very professional and nice. We did have an embarrassing incident thats never happened to me before where a guy (guessing he was looking for a customer) accidentally opened the door as I was getting waxed and his child was standing right next to him🤯 Though this random guy accidently walked in on us the tech remained professional and was very apologetic so I'm hoping that was just a horrific one off because I'd like to go back!

I used a Groupon and before booking I had the option to do wax or sugar. But after booking I got a text saying because of Groupon I would be put as basic wax. I was fine with that. When my services started my esthetician offered me either. I never had sugar before and tried it and it was a great service! My lady was very professional, personable and great conversationalist. Edit 12/28: giving 5 starts because my aestheticians have been AWESOME. Business model is not great. 50% of the time I don't get a text back to schedule an appointment (I try to do that after an appointment but I have kids and sometimes need to work with sitter on better day). Your membership billed/credit expires after 60 days - sorry - just not being able to use $50/100 after only 60 days is wild, not cool... Especially when I cannot get a response to schedule an appointment. I appreciate the efficacy of a text message but the literal system doesn't work. I cancelled membership today - this impacts your employees and that SUCKS. My service was great, aesthetician was lovely. But I have been calling for three days and cannot get a text, I've left a message, pressed one to speak to receptionist... And it hung up after 2 minutes. It's starting to feel like a scam - I have a membership and I only need to reschedule, but at this point I may have to cancel completely. Very frustrating.

***Update after 9 months of coming here I missed one appointment. They have a cancellation policy, they notify you about from the beginning. If you miss an appointment they charge you $10 for not showing. They give this to the technician as a tip, completely understandable! My only negative response to the company would be that if a customer is a faithful customer for 8 months and then randomly misses an appointment maybe it would be good etiquette to reach out and inquire as to why the person missed the appointment prior to charging the fee. I think this would have shown care and consideration for the faithful customer. Lack of human touch is a lack of care for customers. I will not be giving my hard earned money to a company that does not show common decency for human beings. Super offended. Previous post: I’ve been a member at their Tempe location for about eight months now. I pay a $49 a month for a monthly membership fee for a monthly Brazilian wax. You can also get a second wax per month if needed at a discounted price point. Overall, it’s the most inexpensive option I’ve found in town for waxing. Kaylyn is the most amazing technician. I’ve had two other girls and they were alright but Kaylyn is certainly the best, super pro.

I made a last minute appointment. Truth be told, I hate scheduling over text 100%, but that's is just me, some may love it...for me this is in general, not specific to the platform they use. I was scheduled with Jessica. She was personable and did a great job, answered some questions I had on a service I didn't know a lot about. The location was clean clean clean and there is a parking structure with an elevator for the location. You could totally make a day of it as it's near a Dry Bar for hair, a nail place and food. So a little pampering and snacks before heading out for a night with friends or a vacation.

This was an awesome experience! I also found out that they do facials for your lady parts and since I have a huge problem with my ingrown hairs that is a definite benefit. The process was quick and I love that there's a combination of different type of waxes they use to give the cleanest results possible. I will definitely be back. They even went above and beyond when I accidentally parked in tenant parking and I got my vehicle locked in. They made the phone calls and got security to be able to get me out otherwise I would have been totally stuck. Thank you!

I absolutely love Hello Sugar! I normally go to the Old Town location, but this time it was more convenient to go to Tempe. Their system still had all my information stored which made checking in and paying after very easy. I love that no matter what location I go to I always get an esthetician who is kind and understands when I tell them I have anxiety to pain and I get uncomfortable very easily. They talk to me through the whole appointment about life, work, hobbies, etc. which keeps my mind off the pain, all the while gaining a good rapport with me as a client. I got the Brazilian and oh Lordy! If you’ve never had a Brazilian, get one. I was super nervous about the pain and I’ve been shaving my whole life but in reality, you’re so worried about trying to maintain a conversation you kind of forget about the pain (which really isn’t that bad) I didn’t really feel much until it was time for the top of the pubic bone. To be honest, that part stings but it’s done within like 4 minutes. Overall, the process is manageable and the results? WOW! The Aestheticians were also incredibly professional and sweet. Would definitely recommend this place and I will be coming back with my subscription to them ❤️

I was totally against waxing "down there", but I think its one of those things you have to try once in your life. So I did. Samantha made me so comfortable and put me at ease immediately. She told me everything she was going to do before she did it. Our conversation was funny and inappropriate because there is no good way to talk about what was going on. I only go to Sam because she’s always bubbly and nice and truly cares for my skin “down there” I’m giving 3 starts because when you arrive on time you wait 5-10 minutes for your waxer to come out. But when you’re 5 minutes late they tell you you cannot get your wax...when you’re at the front desk...I drove 15 minutes for nothing. Send out texts or calls saying if you’re 5 or more minutes late call to reschedule because that would have saved me a lot of time and gas!

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I recently went in for a signature facial for the first time and it was not a great experience. The esthetician kept telling me how much she doesn't like doing facials and really making me feel like I'm hugely inconveniencing her. That really lessened the quality of the facial and the whole time I was thinking about it. The facial itself was fine but no one wants to be told that what you're paying for is a pain to do. **UPDATE** The issue was resolved and I'm extremely happy with the end result. I have had a mixed experience. I made my appointment 8 days ago. This morning I get a text message (the same message from 3 different numbers) saying that I have to reschedule my appointment for a week because in my consent form I stated that I had used a tanning bed. The reason why this was upsetting was because it had 1. Been already over a week since I last tanned in a bed. 2. Why do you wait to tell me that and cancel the day of my appointment? I’m going on vacation in a day and have no other time. I submitted my consent form over a week ago… why was this not relayed sooner? Luckily, I did not tan in the last week, otherwise this would have messed up my plans. So immediately I call and explain that I have not tanned in over a week and I need to keep my appointment because I’m going out of town and have been planning this. So the woman over the phone rescheduled me with someone else that same day. I had Cat, and she did an amazing job. I got a Brazilian Wax and it was not bad at all. I did it without any numbing. Cat is fast, She just knows what she is doing and is great at talking it through. I would highly recommend booking with her. She also just seems like a cool person. She is five stars. When I went to pay, the price was Extremely misleading. When I booked over a week ago, I mentioned to receptionist that I saw a Groupon, she told me not to buy it and then they would honor it. Then I got an email, with total price on the bottom $16.20 (which I did think was cheap). But my friend who also goes here said it was a promotion they were running. I assumed that I would be paying that price considering that’s what it said I would owe in the email. When I brought this to the attention of the girl at the front desk after my appointment, she told me “that’s their commission”! Okay, then maybe stop sending that to your clients? That is so misleading to send a total and have it not be what the client owes… Just felt scammy. Anyway, $30 is not a bad deal either, so I paid and tipped. I couldn’t get myself to sign up for their monthly deal after this. And it was brought to my attention that I would never get a Groupon price again and I would not get any deals on a membership later if I did not sign up that day. Okay… The only reason why I’m giving this place 3 stars is because of Cat. She is wonderful. The place is cute inside and seems to be clean. Make sure you get there a few minutes early for parking. I wouldn’t say don’t go here, because they do a good job. But make sure you understand what you’re paying for before you go so it’s not a sock. Email included with price just you know not to get it confused

Their Brazilian Enzyme Treatment is def 5/5! If you have issues with ingrown hairs or dark spots in your bikini area this treatment will clear it right up! I would give it 5 stars, but I am not a fan of the technique used for Brazilians. They use hard wax, but then put some type of cloth over the wax prior to removal. This process made the removal worse because the cloth would detach from the wax causing the waxer to ripe the same piece multiple times, instead of just once!
