My love for the SLK clinic runs deep. Being a client there is like having your own personal fairy godmothers on standby. It probably sounds dramatic for me to say that these beautiful people have changed my life, but that is exactly what they've done. Growing up, I was always very self conscious about my recessed chin. I was teased relentlessly about that, my acne, my gummy smile, and in general, the fact that I wasn't a 'pretty' girl. Kids are brutal, and frankly, adults weren't much kinder. And those words stuck with me, buried beneath the piles of beauty products I bought over the years that promised to make my skin smoother and tighter. I tried not to smile too big because what if someone saw my gums and teased me relentlessly for it? And pictures of me from the side? Forget about it. I can't show you a before photo because it doesn't exist. For thirty-eight years, I hated my side profile so much that any photo of me that actually managed to get taken from the side was immediately destroyed, never to be seen again. Side profile? I don't know her. I only ever wore my hair down and as close around my face as possible to conceal my chin. The older I got, the more self conscious I became as gravity began to take its toll, giving me a double chin no matter how small I was. My recessed chin got even MORE recessed, and my confidence was at an all time low. That was when I had my first consultation with SLK in March of 2020. It started with Botox to smooth my wrinkles and stop my upper lip from disappearing when I smiled. Then, I ventured into microneedling and Vivace and that thing where they zap away that little pocket of padding beneath the chin. Slowly, I started regaining some confidence and wearing LESS makeup. As someone who used to not go ANYWHERE without a full face of makeup, this was a huge revelation. But then, I got filler for the very first time, under my eyes (tear troughs) for the deep dark hollows that framed my eyes and in my chin to balance my profile, and that is when the magic happened. Mallory did my first set of injections and when I tell you that woman is an ARTIST. If you saw me in person, you would have no idea that I never had a chin. This chin looks (and feels) like it was always mine. As the filler started to settle within a day or two, something amazing happened when I looked in the mirror. For the first time in my entire life, I didn't pick my reflection apart. The person staring back at me looked how I felt on the inside: beautiful. A month later, I haven't even had my second appointment yet, but I have already stopped ducking away from the camera. Instead, I smile because I'm happy. Because I feel pretty. Because there's no longer an endless stream of thoughts wondering if I concealed my chin well enough. Is this what Amy Schumer felt like when she fell off that spin bike and whacked her head in the movie "I Feel Pretty"? Because SAME, girl. Same. Can't tell me NOTHING. Beauty may only be skin deep, but how we feel about ourselves runs so much deeper than that. Our lack of confidence creates a domino effect and impacts every single aspect of our lives. But on the flip side of that, when we feel we look our best, that bleeds over into other areas of our lives. The truth is, I have always deserved to take up space, regardless of if I had a chin or not or if my gums showed when I smiled, or if I was wearing tons of make up or none at all. But now, I own the space I take up, and I feel comfortable in it. I simply cannot tell you what a gift it has been to finally feel good in my own skin. I have only one regret about my filler, and that's that I wish I'd done it a loooooong time ago. If you're considering it, let this be your sign to go for it.

I'm very cautious about injections or anything cosmetic, because I like things to look natural and I must say that they have completely perfected the craft of making everything look flawless yet natural at the same time. All of the staff and team are extremely accommodating and made the process so comfortable. My face looks and feels so smooth. Amazing services, results, and employees! I have received botox from other places in Nashville, but I never got the service and results as I did at SLK. I have also had two microneedling sessions and have seen a huge difference in my complexion! Before, I would get some deep/almost cystic acne here and there and since my treatment, I haven't had any deep pimples/acne pop up. Unfortunately, I am a picker, so I had small scarring from that before my treatment. Specifically, during covid (once I started reaching my late 20s), I have seen that these small scars weren't healing as well as they normally would. Which, I later learned is to be expected since my collagen wasn't producing as it was when I was younger. I tried probably over $3000 worth of beauty products, serums, etc. during covid (figured I'd try these things since I wouldn't be seeing people in public) and nothing was working. I had mentioned to Mallory Simon multiple times what was going on and she kept mentioning I really need to try microneedling. I knew my boyfriend was going to propose soon, so I finally went to her for help so I could be ready for a proposal/wedding. I wish I had not spent so much money on at-home treatments/beauty products (even bought an acne light) and went to her in the first place. The results I got from her doing my microneedling is like nothing I have every tried! Anyone who is in their late 20s or older, I would highly recommend getting this treatment from SLK/Mallory. Once I saw the results with the microneedling (helped fade the scarring I had and almost diminished any acne/breakouts I had), I decided to try a little botox as well. So far, I have been nothing but impressed and thankful I have finally found a solution to the issues I was having with my skin! Love this company and love working with Mallory! Y'all are the best!!

Recently had Micro-needling done for the first time at SLK and love it! If you have never gotten it done before, it can seem a little daunting at first, but I promise the results are worth it. It was quite a few days of down time for me (I know everyone’s skin reacts differently). I thought I’d be able to go out and do normal things, but I l looked and felt very uncomfortable. It felt and looked like a really, really bad sunburn. After about a week, my face was finally starting to look a little normal and now we’re at about 3 weeks and my skin looks INCREDIBLE. It is glowing and smooth and I feel confident even going out without makeup on - it looks that good. Definitely would recommend using the Colorescience makeup products (that they sell at SLK and online) post treatment. It’s very lightweight and has SPF. Would definitely recommend this treatment at SLK and per usual, the ladies there are always so helpful and accommodating.

I have visited SLK for 2 out of 3 Vivace treatments. Cheney has been so helpful with explaining treatments to me and puts me at ease during each visit. Heather has been my RN and she is just wonderful and experienced. I've used BBL before at another practice and it burns like HELL so I was very nervous about pain, but with face numbing cream used before the treatment, I can not even feel the needles! The treatment itself is very relaxing. I'm hoping Vivace will help tighten skin on my neck and lower jaw area. I have always had very good skin and small pores, but after both of my previous treatments I can immediately feel a tightening in my skin and I glow for days! Overall I hope the 3rd treatment will help with long term tightening.
