Just finished my first visit for a Brazilian and it was so great! I have had my sugaring done at more commercial places and this experience has been so much better. She was very kinda and informative and made me feel very comfortable. The process was quick and sort of painless. It’s always been a bit painful but this time not really at all. She also told me that it’s all natural and she makes the sugar herself. I’ll be back for sure for my next one and from here on.

Probably one of the best experiences I ever indulged in! This was my first time coming here and being sugared! I usually get hard wax Brazilians, but when I say I’ll never go anywhere else I mean it!! Ms. Zhila had me off the table in 9 minutes! It is way better than regular Brazilian waxing and I was not super sore afterwards. However, when I went she was pretty overbooked and started on me about 15-20 min after my scheduled time. the walls are really thin as well, so the waiting room will be able to hear your entire conversation with her, if that matters. This was not my first time getting a Brazilian sugaring, but it felt like it due to the authenticity of the sugar. I’ve gone to places before to get a Brazilian sugaring, but the experience was nothing like this. I actually felt like I received a real Brazilian sugaring going to Sweet Sensation. The sugaring was homemade and 4 huge cloths were used. No hair was left behind. No plucking was used. Wow, this is definitely the only place I will go to for my sugaring from now on. Zhila made my Brazilian sugar wax and eyebrow threading experience a great one! It was my first time back in a few years. I've had others perform those services but no one has ever managed to have me looking and feeling as good as Zhila! She's efficient, professional, and down to earth! 5-6 pulls of the cloth was all she had to do to remove ALL my hair from their roots for my Brazilian resulting in minimal, short lived pain. Zhila not only performs her services but she also tells you how to maintain healthy skin and answers all questions thoroughly. Zhila is very efficient! I’ve never gotten a traditional wax but I don’t think I ever will because I love the results of the sugaring. Her method is quick and easy and before you know it it’s over. She’s also very friendly and easy to talk to. I think I have a very decent pain tolerance lol so I’m not sure how to rate the pain. It can be painful, but that’s more so because of the shock of getting the hair pulled, but she prepares you before she removes the strip. Also, keep in mind the more you go the less painful it becomes so stay consistent!

I’ve been sugar waxing before discovering this place, and I have to say, Sweet Sensations is A LOT better than my previous, because I have not gotten bumps or ingrown hairs, unlike the last place I usually went to for sugar waxing. I had my first visit getting sugaring. I’ve never had it before because I can not tolerate pain. My visit today I was in and out in 10 minutes, bald as an eagle. She uses some sort of long cloth, that catches so many hair follicles that she’ll only need to do 6 pulls before she’s completely done. The 6 pull offs of the cloth included my buttocks area as well. She’s so fast, and really efficient. This is the fastest I’ve ever seen anyone do, and she also is very friendly and incredibly humble. Returning customer here.

I rated my experience as a 4 as it was a pleasant experience for the most part. There were 3 ladies ahead of me when I arrived for my apt (some arrived late due to really bad traffic from an accident) so I ended up having to wait about 30 minutes which was not bad. Zhila was very welcoming, made me feel comfortable and worked really quick. It did hurt a bit but definitely did not last as Zhila was very fast. I was in and out of the room, paid and back in my car in 15 minutes. I was under the impression that with sugaring the hair would be removed in the direction of the hair growth and in my case she did remove against the growth. Immediately upon leaving I was not in any pain but did feel tender and had some red bumps. All of the hair was not removed but a good 98% of it was, which I was fine with as I had coarse hair due to years of shaving. After a couple of hours the red bumps started to appear like little pimples (googled and says common after brazilian due to pores being open and this being my first time) I applied witch hazel as suggested by Zhila and the following morning it looked worse than when I shave. I did have some bruising on the thigh/lip area, which could've been due to me tensing up right before the removal and having sensitive skin. The bumps look like razor bumps and the hair was already growing back, I'm guessing because the hair broke off upon removal. Immediately after my apt I would have said YES! I would definitely return to Zhila however now a couple of days later I am not 100% sure I will be back. I am going to see how my skin heals and looks in a couple of weeks and want to try somewhere that uses the sugar paste for removal to compare. Overall - clean, quick, good service, other clients there seemed very pleased with their experiences and have been customers for years. Really wanted to give a 5 but I am not satisfied with my results. I will update my review if I end up returning.

I have tried other sugaring places in the past before and while they did an OK job I was in so much pain because the session lasted forever! With Zhila I am in and out within 10-15 minutes which makes the process a lot less painful. I love that this is a natural service as opposed to waxing and I notice my hair growing in healthier and thinner. No bumps or ingrown hairs which is amazing. After moving, I needed a new waxer, and was told to try Sweet Sensation. Zhila was very welcoming, sweet while booking appointments, and couched me through my first sugaring session. It does hurt worse than hard wax the first time, but as you continue to go, the pain lessens each time. I have done a bikini wax before and it was long over do so I knew there was gonna be some pain. And yes it did hurt (at least for me) but it literally last for a few seconds. She is the only real sugar waxing location in Houston. She is very welcoming and does an excellent job. If you have left over wax, it's just sugar so you can just wash it off when you get home. Most incredible experience I’ve ever had. Done under arms at other places, painful as usual. Here (sugaring), my first time full arms and legs and Brazilian, not that painful. To be specific, I was eating the delicious SUGAR (made by herself) she uses for REMOVAL, watching her works, clean and fast, and didn’t shed any tears. I don't usually give reviews. I tried the Brazilian sugaring and since it's been a while it was a little painful but I see why it's better than waxing it literally just takes off the hair follicles. I discovered Zhila at Sweet Sensations in 2015. I have had leg waxing and leg sugaring from other providers prior to Zhila. However, Zhila was my first provider for sugaring Brazilian. It was incredibly fast, minimally painful and she herself was a joy to meet. I’ve continued to see her throughout the years on an inconsistent basis. I do not receive monthly service BUT I have never shaved since meeting Zhila. She is consistent every time, no matter my stage of hair growth. She has helped with skin concerns, hair removal, hair growth for my eyebrows, and built a great relationship with me as her client. Her salon is beautiful and very elegant. It’s tucked away in a quaint courtyard. Up stairs, her door stays locked to ensure privacy to her current appointment. She is quick to let you in once you ring the door bell. Sitting in her waiting area, there is soothing music with plenty of seating. It is small, but she is solo and just the perfect size for her. I’ve waited some time at some appointments. She is so accommodating to every client, she will spend any necessary time extra to ensure their comfort ability. Yet she is so quick with the service! My Brazilians are typically 5-10 minutes. My full leg, Brazilian, underarm, and eye brow combined take her just over 30 minutes to complete. I am always impressed with how quick she is while leaving no hair behind. Now I know it is commonly considered, “Is it painless?” Hair removal in general has pain associated. The way Zhila preforms, with speed, breathing techniques, AND her product/method; she is the least painful experience there is. Her product remains at a consistent temperature. The temp is at a high heat to spread over the hair easily. Without the heat, the product will stick and pull the hair giving the client more pain. (I know this as an esthetician myself). At the same time, with the hot product spread in almost every area of my body, for the last five years, I have never been burned, had skin lifted, or experienced any swelling/bruising. (that I am aware are all possibilities) Her results with brows are phenomenal. She helped me with product recommendations to help grow my brows where they were patchy. So happy with my natural full brows. The way she shapes my brows are so complimenting to my facial structure. She has a natural eye. If you experience any skin problems, you will find solutions with her. She has too of the line services and machines to give you expert results. The environment during her treatments are always relaxing. I have learned that Zhila has been body sugaring for 28 years, a career longer than I’ve been alive. She has two locations, one near the Galleria and another in Stafford. With that many years experience, I am confident Zhila has waxed every hair type that is in existence. Zhila was my first in the realm of Brazilian waxing. She made it such an easy thing. She put me at ease, was fast and professional and thorough. (KEYWORD! HA!) Over the course of 3 years I have been forced to visit another waxer/sugar twice. Both times I was so disappointed with the results. One grew back faster and the other you could barely tell I had had anything done. If I want all the hair taken off, I MEAN ALL of it. EVERYWHERE. Zhila gets that and does exactly what you want done. The first time was not painless, but it was bearable, and the second time was in fact painless. The longer you go (regularly) the less and less hair you will have, the thinner and softer the hair growth, and the less you will need to go. Which is awesome. Zhila is also adamant about your skin care regimen before and after your sugaring. She tells you just what to use (ordinary stuff from the store, not fancy salon products that break the bank) to be sure you are getting the best possible results. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. She always has the latest magazines to read (not only old outdated issues!) and the door stays locked and secure. Also, there is a no-men-allowed policy--even in the waiting room. Which makes it feel safe and private, like a place like this SHOULD feel.
