Best course among three I played during the travel to Tampa area. 16 holes have water hazard by or accorss the fairway, so challenging but providing wonderful view. Still beautiful green and well maintained grasses even in end of December, which I never see in Michigan and it was most delight to me. Don't know why but paid less than Glofnow showed at tee time reservation.

Course was good. A little over priced for the quality of the course. Greens had lots of bare spots. Fairways were not cut at all. Bunkers are more dirt than sand. It’s nice but definitely not an $80 round.

My wife and myself played on Sunday at West Chase and thoroughly enjoyed our day. We travelled from Orlando and arrived two hours early and the pro and starter arranged for us to start immediately on hole 10. We completed 18 holes in 3 hours. The course is a great test of golf with a wide range of tees to cater for all abilities. Every hole had its own individual character with water in play throughout. It is a fair course and If you play well, you will score well! Poor shots get punished and there are many risk/reward shots. A really good enjoyable course to play.

I've golfed here a few times in the past year and enjoyed it each time. The course is in very good condition. Greens were pretty quick last Wednesday. Look forward to playing at Westchase in the near future.

Nice layout, fast greens. Stopped here before moving my kiddo into USF. Played a twilight round and then one with my son next day. Twilight rate was perfect $. Mid morning rate next day was a little pricey but was prime time tee time and very nice course.

The staff is friendly and the course is in great shape! The greenskeepers do a great job maintaining the course. It has a great layout and is fun to play. I bought the hole in one pass and would definitely recommend it. It's well worth it!

What a 💎. The westchase Golf Club is one of the most challenging courses that plays just a little over 6600 yards from the back tees. The Westchase golf course is a test of every player's game. The courses require good courses management off the tee which will leave you a good chance to approach a well forgiven greens. Every hole is a beauty. I ❤️ every minute of it. I've been hosting an event there for the last 8 years. Jared and the entire crew has always welcomed us with open arms and provided the best service that anybody could expect. I'm not a golfer but all my players have always had extremely positive remarks about the course and the staff.

Nice course and friendly people. It has very good fairways and greens. The cars doesn’t have a cooler or GPS but the good taking care of the course make a great of impression. Nice Driver range with floating balls that you throw in to the lake

Great experience at Westchase! Friendly staff & course is well taken cared off. Starter inserted me with a foursome. Turned out to be great bunch of hard working guys just out to enjoy themselves. Course is not too long from white tees but most holes have water hazards or OBs. Clubhouse has limited supply but huge bathroom with showers. Ranging into water does not help but efficient I guess. Would definitely come back & test it again.

The course is tight, I personally found myself hitting a lot of irons and hybrids off the tees. Driving range is nice and there are nice putting and chipping areas. The point where the course takes a turn is on the greens. I have never seen so many, unrepaired, ball marks on the greens. The greens look like they have craters all over them. I am currently in league here, not sure if I would pay money for a casual round in its current state.

I must say I hesitate to write this review since I truly believe Westchase is the “diamond in the rough” of Tampa Bay Area golf courses. After moving relatively close to this course, this place has been my go-to. Dave in the pro shop is an absolute treasure, and if he doesn’t know you by name he sure makes you feel like you’re welcome regardless. I can’t say my experience has been as positive with others in the pro shop, but wanted to give Dave his well deserved shout out. I’m not entirely sure what is going on at the course, seems like management or owners have changed a couple times in the past year or so, but nevertheless the course stays in the same condition; beautiful. It’s a relatively tough track, high handicappers beware.

This layout was very cool and challenging from varying tee boxes. Greens are in great shape and roll pretty fast. Very cheap rate considering all. Use good judgment on your team ball because it will run once it gets in the Fairway.

We couldn't recommend this course any more highly. We (first timers) were greeted by the starter, Peter, he was fantastic. Peter answered all our questions and gave us great advice on how to get around the course in the best way possible. Course conditions were great. Pace of play was great. The greens were great. Go play this course!

Very nice golf course and a friendly and knowledgable staff. Decent driving range, nice putting green and chipping area. The course is very well-kept and on my visit it was in great shape. The layout was challenging and fairways drain well and were in great shape. Awesome staff! pace-of-play was very good. Well worth the money and I look forward to playing another round.

Greens were good but fairway need maintenance good customer support. We got little bit rain but we enjoyed the game. We had couple of sandwich es from the restaurant and was reasonably priced and taste good.

Greens are in good shape. The speed is consistent but not fast. Very little areas of damage from summer wear and tear. Rough is very tough and penalizing. Areas that were not cut are almost impossible to find a ball. Bunkers by far are one of the worst in the area. It does not appear that they have been maintained this calendar year. Very disappointing. For the price, the course could be better.

A well managed course in nice winter condition. Tight fairways, lots of hazards, and little margin for error will test your skill. Fast greens with subtle, challenging to read slopes can push your score. All that said, a course that is reasonably priced, that you will want to play again, and will not easily forget. Yes go here!

Interesting layout for many holes and staff is pleasant and helpful. A bit crowded and slow on my last round but not too bad. Cafe at the turn have selection of prepared snacks or quick bites to get you back on the course fast. Call ahead to have something ready is your best bet. Greens played fast and true, rough was prison for errand shots.

The course was great although not fancy. The holes are challenging but nothing impossible. There is a lot of water and even more swampy areas to get around. The course is in a beautiful residential area and the residents are very friendly. The employees and the regular players are very courteous , making you feel welcome. Course is well maintained and very affordable.

Pro shop, starter, all were very helpful and knowledgeable. As a foursome played in four hours, minimal waiting. Tees, fairways and greens all in excellent shape. Greens ran at 11+ on Stimp. Good course, would recommend

One of the better courses in the area - could use more bunker rakes (or people who actually use them!). 4 groups of a wedding party screwed up the schedule in the morning but rangers were quick to manage

Great course, some challenging and interesting holes. Mostly wide open fairways but excellent ball striking is a must on approach shots. A lot overpriced at times but well worth it when there is a deal on supreme golf/golf now.

Fun course to play. Reasonable prices. Guys in Pro Shop and cart guys...very professional. Had a bite to eat in the clubhouse. Good burger and I loved the fries. Service was a little skeptical at the beginning but she closed out with 5 stars.

Went to the course mid week in April. Far exceeded my expectations. Course is in excellent condition and well worth the price. Course IS challenging for the average golfer with plenty of water, marsh and well placed bunkers and trees. Will definitely be back

Very nice course. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only negative note is the blind forced carry in front of the ninth green. I will never understand course architects who make their reputation on making a hard game harder.

Just a really nice course for the average guy like myself. Challenging hazards, we'll kept greens and fairways, and great staff. Unfortunately, the only negative I have for the place is that my ball kept slicing all day long....never experienced that at other courses! ;)

Mike Cestone at the West Chase golf course is a phenomenal swing coach.. I have worked with him a few times over the years and today needed a very last minute lesson on the driver that I was snap hooking. Amazing job at diagnosing and fixing the problem so quickly I look forward to playing at carolwood on Thursday now. Anyone needing lessons for any part of the game seek this man out

One of the really well-run, maintained, and managed semi-private courses in Tampa Bay. I'm there several times a year and never disappointed. After your round, stop in their restaurant. Great menu, bar, and service.

Very good round, 1st time @ this course. Conditions were perfect, and I love the layout. Makes you think on every shot. Playing as a twosome was able to finish round in about 3 hrs. Will be back!

Just played here today and had to come on to say how nice it was. Everything is in awesome shape. Fairways, tees and greens have great, healthy grass. Extremely fast greens, tough to stop a ball on. Difficult and narrow course, tough to play! Can't wait to come back and see if I can't do better.

My buddy and I have had such a good time there recently that we have played 2-4 times a week. Good times with good friends for a great price playing evening golf. The golf shop personel and rest of the golf team are incredibly friendly.

Good: Nice layout, good condition, high rough, fair greens, challenging, good location. Bad: Went to the range pre-round and a employee was fishing for balls directly in front of us preventing us from hitting. 80% of maintenance staff does not stop their activities for you to take your shot. Pin locations on this day were not input into the GPS system. Called the pro shop and they said system was not working and they did not have sheets or anything for guidance. Not what I expect for $100 fee course in this market.

Recently I had a 50th birthday party at the WestChase Clubhouse.....Two words pop into my mind to describe the overall experience~~Simply PERFECT!!! Lauren and her staff were a DELIGHT to work with from the first time I met her and gathered info for the party. She handled each and EVERY step with 100% Professionalism, courtesy and ease!! I had worked in this industry for many years and can assure you I have NEVER had a easier time at pulling a party together. She handled each step herself and kept me informed the entire way. The day of the event she took a nervous wreck, me, and convinced me everything would run smooth... Smooth cant even begin to describe the party. The food was beyond AMAZING, her and her staff were MORE than sweet and accommodating and everyone had a INCREDIBLE time!! If anyone is looking for a AMAZING place to have any type party you need to contact Lauren and you will see what I mean.. 100 % bar none the BEST in WestChase and probably the entire area. I've now hosted three golf tournaments at Westchase Golf Club in the last 17 months for a combined total of over 300 players. Despite multiple (and often unpopular) changes at GM and other office positions, my experiences with Westchase Golf Club have continued to trend upward and I'm ready to talk to them about hosting a fourth outing in early 2019. For my most recent tournament of 27 foursomes, my players overwhelmingly enjoyed the conditions of the golf course and had zero complaints about the facilities, carts, practice areas or the clubhouse. I played Westchase today and have been telling all my players and all my golf colleagues that the greens (Especially on historically problematic holes such as 2, 5 and 7) were as good as I've seen them in at least six years. Much of that credit goes to the new superintendent, who I also worked with to make my event unique. He is not only very good at making a golf course look and play properly, but he was enthusiastic and available to me when I hosted my Good vs. Evil! golf tournament there on February 3rd, 2018. If you haven't played Westchase in the last six months, I would highly recommend going back and taking advantage of some special afternoon rates.

Great course! The driving range is cool and you hit into the water. Only giving 3 stars because the cart girl took my credit card to the pro shop and they locked the pro shop for the night before I got in from my round. Had to go home without my cc!

One of 5 courses we played on a Tampa golf trip. By far the most expensive and we were expecting great things. Didn't get it. OK, it's mid January and I understand that, yes, Florida has winters too. But we played courses for 1/3 the price in better condition. We played on a late Saturday morning/early afternoon. It rained (the only time in a week) sometime Thursday night. The course was almost unplayable. We were immediately told cart path only, which I can appreciate to maintain the fairways. But maybe don't build a golf course on a swamp. And, would it kill management to maybe offer a $5 discount, or bar/restaurant coupon, or first drink on-the-house as a way of saying, "sorry about the $100 greens fee and then a cart path only restriction"? I guess my takeaway is this: don't play it in winter months, and definitely don't play it within a week of rainfall.
