Annbriar has always had a special place in my heart. But this particular round (see picture) we played as the sun faded and the stars came out was the most spectacular ever. Nothing better than a summer night out at Annbriar closing the course down.

Hands down the best course in the Metro East. Only rivaled by Spencer T Owen in Alton. The greens are always in great shape and roll true. The difference between the fairway and rough is legitimate, even if you play using improved lies. You will not find a better golf experience in the area.

Has to be one of the best if not the best course in southern Illinois. Course is best maintained course I have played. No bare spots on tee boxes or greens . Cart paths are all in good shape . Only downside was I couldn't get a burger at 10 in the morning it was breakfast time . But the clubhouse is just as amazing as the rest of the course

Beautiful golf course and a very fun layout!! Conditions were absolutely amazing. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend if you are in the area. Only reason not 5 stars there was no water in any cooler on the course and no cart person with drinks. It was hot when we played definitely would have helped to be hydrated

It was our first time playing here. The course was in great shape. We all loved the layout as well. The clubhouse restaurant and restroom were very clean. Highly recommend playing here.

My wife and I took our fathers out here for a day of golf on fathers day. Everything was fantastic. Course was in great shape and the pace of play was great. Always an enjoyable time here.

In my opinion, Annbriar is the best kept and nicest course in the metro east. Course is challenging but fair. Good shots are rewarded and poor shots are penalized. Course is also very beautiful. Lots of pretty holes that are a blend of open links type holes with wooded holes as well. A must play if you are in the St. Louis area.

Beautiful layout with lots of rolling hills and challenging holes,greens were some of nicest I've seen this year and I've played on several different courses this year..my only complaint is they have the no cart signs way to far away from the skirts of the greens which makes for far too much walking on these hilly surfaces..me and my group were totally exhausted from having too park so far away from the greens...

Decent fairway and green conditions. Pace of play was extremely disappointing. There are other courses in the area in great shape that cost half as much.

The golf course has the best conditions for any public course in the St. Louis area, no question about it. Tee boxes are good, greens are good, fairways are good, bunkers are good, cart paths are good, club house is clean and functional. Everything about this place is just great as far as golf goes.

Absolutely fantastic course! Every hole has great personality and playing conditions are always top notch. It’s a fair course and the greens are always consistent. I played here for years on and off the played it 4xs in January and it moved me to become a member. The staff is amazing as well as the restaurant. Kevin, Scott and Mr Noble are particularly helpful and the clubhouse has some seriously great duds! Hope to see ya there and hittem well!

The veggie omelette was really good. Everything else was ok. Pancakes were huge, but sweet, like they were made from the Belgian waffle mix...which is okay, but not the best pancake. Service was probably what would be expected at this type of place (slow, brought us the wrong ticket, forgot to give us the toast that came with the order, and had to request a refill on coffee). It was okay, but we probably wouldn't go out of our way to go back. Prices aren't bad.

Was here after a friend's Celebration of Life. The food was excellent, fried chicken juicy, tender. The salad was superb. There was a lot in our party as well as a couple of other big golf parties. The four young ladies who were working did an excellent job keeping up with everyone's needs.

Great day on the course for Fathers Day 2021. The grass on the course was so impressive. Just the best we've played on all year. Cant wait to come back. The guys taking care of that course should get a raise!

A nice course. Tough and very hilly. Pretty wet after a rain 2 days ago. Update: I've now played this course once the grass has come in and it's much better. I played in the spring when the redbud and dogwood trees were blooming and it was the most beautiful day of golfing that I've ever had.

The course is great. No complaints there so I'm leaving four stars. The pace of play is less than desirable though. I played the first 7 holes in a little over an hour as a single. I then ran into a group of three who not let me play through. It took me 2 hours to play the next 7 holes before I gave up. COVID has definitely brought out new golfers who may not know golf etiquette. May be time for Annbriar to get a marshal.

The course is very nice. The design offers a good challenge depending on the boxes you select. The fairways are in very good shape and the greens roll true. It is often rated among one of the best courses in the Midwest. Possibly a little overrated but still a good place to play a round.

Course is exceptional. I’ve never come to play here and left disappointed. It’s always in great shape and the employees are friendly. Only complaint would be a recent Friday afternoon round where the course was slammed due to a lot of deals being offered after 3pm. It is what it is, but it would’ve been nice to have some semblance of order at the 1st tee — and not 3 groups attempting to tee-off at the same time. Again, this is a fantastic course and my only complaint after years of playing here.

In spite of the wet fairways and being cart path only, it was an enjoyable experience. Greens putted true and the rough was manageable. Tee boxes have great sight lines. Looking forward to playing again when the course will be in optimum condition.

What a day! Got a day off and snuck out to play with my uncle. This course is absolutely a must play! Friendly staff, pristine conditions and a lot of fun to play if I’m being honest. I’m a 12 handicap and my uncle is 18 and this course is playable and fun for all levels. I will definitely be playing here more often.

Course is great. Couldn't have asked for nicer facilities for the cost. Problem is pace of play is an absolute problem. There is no reason even on a weekend a round should take a 4some 6 hours. Never came across a marshal on the course the entire 6 hours....Other than pace the course is a 5 star facility.

Beautiful course and generally in great shape. There is one particular higher up staff member who has been rude to me on three separate occasions. Outside of him the place is great and the course is very fun.

Simply one of the nicest public courses in the metro east. I play there at least a couple of times a year, and I drive 60 miles to get there. The staff does a great job putting on a golf outing for a company I do business with. You're in the area and wanna play golf I would highly recommend Annbriar golf course.

I am not going to say too much about this place because I have been playing it at least once a year for more than twenty years and have seen this little gem get more and more popular to the point I occasionally have a tough time getting on. Wonderful course and from the tips you better bring your A game.

Nicest course in the entire area! 2020 update - Base upon the $75 price tag it’s a 3 star course. If you can land this for anything under $50 it’s easily a 5 star course.

Second favorite course to play in the MO/IL area. Don't be lulled to sleep by the front nine, because that back nine is a monster to deal with. Challenging to almost every aspect of one's game.

My wife and I played Annbriar on a spot basis for a number of years since we live about 40 min away. As time went on we found ourselves choosing to go back due to our "overall" expierence, and we pass a number of courses on the way getting there. We started palying in their couples league on Sundays and joined the mens and ladies evening leagues very soon after. With never having had a bad expierence at Annbriar we made the decision to join their annual membership program. I can say without exception we have always felt welcomed and appreciated there. There are very few if any public fee courses in the St. Louis area that compare condition wise, and certainly none where you will be treated better.
