Being from the prairies in Canada, I can confidently say that ever hole on this course is a dream. The elevation changes are incredible and the greens are quick. As intimidating as this course looks while playing, it is surprisingly forgiving. The sand traps are really soft and white and the course is long (played from the green tees). Would highly recommend and I’ll be happy to come back next year!

We hosted a work event here, we have a great time! The golf shop and director was very helpful and knew how to successfully run a tournament. This place is reasonably priced for AZ golfing. The grille is small so make a resy before stopping in for lunch but the view is awesome. At the top of a hill. I would come back here.

Excellent course. Great scenery even with (very expensive) homes around the course. Phenomenal conditions and course maintenance. Definitely will go back. Great course design too. Difficult undulating greens and there are a lot of tee shots that filter the ball down to the fairway. Very fair and challenging.

Highly recommended! I traveled to Scottsdale for a bachelor party for which I volunteered to plan the golf outing. There was a large disparity in golfing ability amongst the group and I'm 100% satisfied with my decision to go with Eagle Mountain Golf Club. From the moment we arrived at the course the staff was exceedingly friendly and accommodating. They had all of the rental clubs pulled and kindly instructed us where the practice facilities were to warm up. Rangers were regularly patrolling the course to maintain pace of play. Course was in great shape and provided an exception desert golf experience.

Good course with great mountain/valley views! The driving range was in good condition and the course itself was in good shape. A bunch of the holes had some crazy elevation differences which made playing this track even more fun! This was a great track and we can’t wait to come back out and give it another go!

Great course. Really nice views and rolling fairways. The roughs need some work. Green are pretty quick and they have some tricky placements. Enjoyed the course and would play again.

Love the course, great challenges but I wish there had been a disclaimer about the condition of the greens before we actually signed in for our tee times. Make sure you call to ask what shape the greens are in before you book your reservation. Fantastic course, beautiful scenery oh, I just wouldn't want someone to be disappointed!

I am not a golfer but the restaurant here is excellent. Menu is very broad, prices reasonable, and service is consistently great. I highly recommend their relaxing patio views.

Fantastic course with surprises at every turn. Can be a little challenging so be prepared. The staff and course management was superb. We had an early morning tee time and had to fight off the bugs. Was a bit muggy but not bad and we were early enough that the heat didn't beat us up. Because of the rain the last few days the greens were slow and soft but dryed up enough as the day went on to be pretty fun. Highly recommend!

This course is fun. It has a great layout and some really good holes. I prefer the back 9, though. Good location, too. It is the first course you pass when entering Fountain Hills.

I love this course and have played it more times than I can count. Conditions are usually great and it has some challenging holes but some easy going ones as well. The views on this course are amazing. The ladies on beverage cart and the grill at the turn are amazing.

Excellent desert golf with numerous tees for all handicaps. Front plays easier than the back. Folks who have difficulty walking or hitting the ball more than 70 yards may want to sit this one out. Most enjoyable course with great scenery. Expect to pay $70 in the morning and $50 afternoon during summer.

Golfing in Early September, course in excellent shape , challenging with great views

Played today and the only reason I gave it three stars is because of the starter. Tee time was at 7:48, at 7:38 we were going from the range to the club house to get food and heard the starter yell, quite rudely “C’mon guys, let’s go!” So we turn around and go to the first tee. I made the comment “are we late”? He responded with “no, you guys are next up”..? Then when waiting to tee off he yells again and says “c’mon, hurry up!” So we tee off and we’re waiting on the group to clear the green anyway. Don’t tell me to pick it up and then make me wait. Didn’t get his name but the guy needs to calm down and learn some customer service skills.

Had breakfast in the restaurant which was good and served quickly. Wait staff was friendly and attentive to the needs of the customers. Great seating on outside patio with exceptional views. Definitely recommend.

Amazing course with many signature holes to test your game. Service was good course in great shape. It was a bit early so course was very wet still. That didn't detract from the sheer joy of playing on that track. I felt the price was very reasonable and look forward to playing it again. Most of the holes are forgiving with slopes on each side that help a hacker like me feel good about his (or her) game. Well spent morning, highly suggested.

Eagle Mountain lives up to its name. You get to play golf on the side of the mountain. My son and I played here May 31st and the course was in phenomenal condition. The staff here is friendly and the drive from Phoenix was easy. Pace of play was fantastic, we finished in 3 hours and 15 minutes and other Golfers were helpful to give intelligence about the course. This course is a must play in the Valley of Sun.

Fantastic and challenging layout with some awesome views. Up and down mountain course in good condition, except the sand bunkers. Would have rated 5 stars, except there is no sand in the bottom of many bunkers which made them unplayable. A go to course at a reasonable price for the Scottsdale area. Would play again without hesitation (6 handicap)

Great course for bringing a large party to, the staff were great! The first time on the course we saw lots of wildlife, the second round not so much. Food was good and the course, well, it's beautiful, you'll enjoy it! Will be back again!

The layout of the course wasn't great and the greens were slow and inconsistent like putting on Velcro. For the $140 I payed in September you could play the Raven which is a better course for half the price. Save your money..

Excellent lunch I had a coconut crusted shrimp salad, the shrimp were and quite large. The salad itself was very large. I came with a huge appetite as well, so that worked out perfectly. The salad came with two types of dressing on the side, I combined both, I believe it was a honey lime vinaigrette and a orange marmalade. The restaurant was not busy and closes at 3pm during the summer so we were able to play cards without taking up a table (or annoying the waitress) which was excellent. The food was a hit with the entire group, priced well, service was excellent! Just wish they would serve dinner or stay open until 5:30pm. Anyway, I highly recommend it to all.

We didn't get to finish our 18 holes due to the lighting storm today, the staff were super friendly helped us get to our car safely and refunded us!! We were able to golf the front 9, and the course was great even in the pouring rain. Excited to come back when it's sunny!

The course is not bad however I think they need to let people know you need a billy goat to help you walk around the course. Also the greens were cut way to short and approach shots never stuck on the green. They also were not very consistent. The course is ok however there are much nicer tracks in the area like Wekopa.

Very nice resort. The staff is extremely wonderful. I have been tona lot of resorts and hotels. This one makes you feel very comfortable they aren't overbearing and strict. They have a wonderful pet policy and the pool is open 24 hours a day. They have a wonderful little restaurant as well.

After being a greenskeeper for two yrs on a posh, private course in North Scottsdale I paid a visit to this public course and was impressed with it's layout, design, and beautiful views of South Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, and Phx from 20 miles away. Surrounded by golf courses in South Scottsdale where I live I can say that this public course in Fountain Hills is in my opinion top notch.

Beautiful scenery and very friendly staff. The layout of the course is challenging but fun. The greens are mostly sunken in the valley-shaped course so it was often a steep climb to and from the greens. Very few places had stairs or paths to and from the green. Not a course for people who might struggle with climbing hills. The course is in really bad shape right now. Maybe they are in transition, but it was pretty bad. Putting was very frustrating because of the condition of the greens. We look forward to returning when the course is in better shape.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at The Grille at Eagle Mountain to celebrate my birthday. Beautiful views and ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food. I had the Southwest Salad with salmon. The fish was perfectly cooked, the romaine lettuce, tomato, avocado were fresh and the corn, black beans and dressing were a great "Southwest" accompaniment. My friends both had the double scoop salad (tuna and chicken salad) on a bed of spinach, with other veggies and a fruit cup. They both said it was delicious. Our server, Rachel, was wonderful and very attentive. She came by several times to refill my coffee without being asked, which was much appreciated. I've lived in Fountain Hills for five years and this was my first time at this restaurant, but it won't be my last. I look forward to returning and highly recommend it to others.

Shop staff was stiff as a board. Asked for tee time/name and took payment. Did not say thank you or enjoy your round... Nothing. They did not offer directions to range or starter. They get zero stars. The starter gets 10 stars. He was awesome. Chatted us up while we waited for the group in front of us to clear. Course gets 4 stars. I was aware of the greens situation and they are generally on the mend. I chatted with a golfer in the bar prior to teeing off. I asked how the course was and he said it was a billy goat golf course. He then explained that it was a hike from the cart path to the green up and down hill. He was not kidding. The cart paths are not anywhere close to the greens and some inclines are very steep. Except the greens, the course was in fabulous shape. Views where outstanding....

I heard all summer how bad the conditions were here. So I waited to the end of the summer, and luckily we had a lot of rain. So by the time I got to play. This course was in great condition. Another great layout, and very fun.

Nice course. I played well, but if you shank shots you will lose balls. Very tricky greens to read. They were fast but also very subtle changes that you didn't always see. Course was in good shape, fun track, good marshalls on the course.

We search long and hard for a wedding venue close to Scottsdale with amazing views and feel so lucky that we found Eagle Mountain in Fountain Hills. Rikki, the Events Director, was amazing to work with! She was so accommodating with any request and brought it all together perfectly for our wedding! She met us many times for walk throughs with our vendors and always so easy to communicate with. She truly went above and beyond making it a perfect day! I would highly recommend having any event at Eagle Mountain, their space is gorgeous and private room has big panels that open to the outside.

Don't know what's going on with this golf course - going from one of the best courses in the valley to a less maintained and average course. For the amount they charge for a round there you expect more. Seems like they are living off their reputation and that's going downhill. Tee boxes so so, lots of brown in the fairways and greens not the best. Played other courses the same week that were much less expensive and in much better condition-sad to see this happen.

Nice, challenging golf course. Lots of elevation change, great views. Greens were nice and well maintained. My only gripe is the ranger. There was a group of 2 playing behind our group of 4. They complained about our pace despite the fact that we were 20 minutes ahead of pace. Instead of correcting that group and leaving us alone, he actually confronted us and asked us to speed up. I still give this place a 5 star rating though.

Could be a top track in the Valley based on layout, challenge, and views - like it was the last time I played it in 2015. But greens are diseased and unplayable. So bad they will ruin a great ball-strking day. You can see they are spending a ton of cash redoing almost all the bunkers. Good for them, but I'm only in 1-2 bunkers per round whereas I'm on all 18 greens. The course just needs to be shut down and the greens fixed. Then the Troon money machine can go back to charging outrageous fees during the peak season for greens that are actually worth playing.

Fun course to play. Service was great and food was good. Try the grilled cheese sandwich. Lots of different types of holes. The 10th and 18th have great views. Carts were good and range was ok. Putting green out of service. The price was ok as this is still considered off season.

Probably my favorite course in the valley. Forgiving fairways, but you can still get in trouble. Greens roll true and the fairways are in good shape. A few patchy spots, but thats to be expected when you've had 50 days over 110 degrees. An enjoyable, playable course with great staff.

Went to the restaurant. Outside patio view, over looking the Valley; was wonderful! Service was good. Salad options for lunch were good. I ordered steak burger. Surprised that I wasn't asked how I would like it cooked. Wasn't served hot or warm. Room temperature. I went with a group of five. Others had salads. Non of us were overly excited about our lunches. Maybe dinner is better? I was invited. I wouldn't go again or make the choice to eat there. Would consider location for cocktails on the patio.

Tried playing golf Friday morning, played only 9 holes because of rain. Decided to grab some breakfast and wait it out when the rain and lightning came crashing in, literally. They refunded our golf and covered our clubs. Thank you guys. Definitely be back soon.

Fun course, but just be prepared to get a lot of hill climbing done as you don't get to drive your cart onto several of the fairways. When it's 105+ degrees and sunny, it is a lot less pleasant than you might think! Not a whole lot of shade on the front nine regardless of the time of day. The back nine has a better tree placement for later day shade respite. With that said, it is absolutely beautiful, and with the roll of the ball tending to get you back onto the center fairway, it is a great day of golfing! The restaurant has two amazing ladies serving everything with a smile and great attitude. It fills up to capacity at lunch, but they manage to keep up and deliver great tasting food and beverages! When it cools down, we will definitely return!

4.5 stars. Really good course. Great staff. Fun to play with some wonderful views and lots of elevation changes. Make sure you go to the bathroom before you tee off since the first one is after the 6th green. Worth the drive.

One of my favorite courses and the staff is very helpful. My only complaint is Ed the driving range ranger. I came with my well mannered kids that are versed in golf etiquette. He made it very clear that kids are not welcomed.

Eagle mountain is awesome. It's a nice tucked away jem. It's very peaceful. The clubhouse has an off the hook restaurant. They make have a fantastic breakfast bunch menu. When weather is nice the outdoor dinning is beautiful. The service is is top notch, food fresh and presented well. Kids are allowed accompanied by parents. Parking is free and they have wheelchair accessible parking and an entrance.

As golf courses in the area go, this is a very solid option at a reasonable price point. Golf can get very pricey here in season and this location tends to be more in check than others. The one drawback to the golf experience (and not always a real negative) is the level of forgiveness offered on many of the holes off of the tee. Many of the landing areas are steeply banked chutes where pretty bad misses can make their way back to the middle. The views are great and the staff is friendly.

Wow. What a fun course. I played Cholla and Sagaruo at WeKoPa the two days prior and this course was just better. The Greens here are phenomenal. They roll pure and are so nice. This course is no where near as demanding as the two at We KO Pa, but its still challenging. Just a gorgeous layout with the undulating fairways and elevated tee-box's. Loved, Loved, Loved. Do yourself a favor and play it. So much fun.

Course was a bit burnt out but it's AZ. Great layout, super fun and challenging. Was mostly Covid aware but the holes didn't have noodles or anything else to stop the ball from dropping in. We're aloud to get my own cart which was nice.

Great golf course better conditions recently if you charge an exceptional price i expect exceptional quality one of my favorite courses i have ever played. I started thinking that way years ago when the course was not only a great design wonderful scenery and just a joy to play (forgiving fairways) but absolutely beautiful, immaculate grounds keeping the most well kept course i have played on was eagle mountain around ten years ago. At some point it fell off a bit which was more than a little dissapointing seeing that their prices didnt fall off at all... however i am happy to report the last couple times i played here it was wonderful they must have made a change and are getting back to why i loved this course to begin with. It is in great shape and i look forward to many more rounds there excited to see it this spring.

The only good thing when I played here was it was forgiving (open fairways) and nobody was on it. This was round 5 for the weekend. The course design is nice, but the course seemed in rough shape. I was told they've been neglecting it and it was once the course to play. Shame. Had a good time anyway, need a break - this is the place.

Went there for a wedding, for a midlevel venue this place was spectacular. They have an area on top of a hill for such occasions. A short walk away is their bar facility and entertaining room. This place is certainly a spot to look into. The views and facilities are fantastic.

Played for $15 recently, and you can say that was a steal. This course was beautifully laid out with the most elevation changes I've seen on a course. Yes, the fairways weren't in perfect shape, but that didn't take away from how amazing the course was. Greens were extra tough but rolled true. It was hard to focus just on golf with the breathtaking scenery and houses, or should I say mansions, that lie along the course. A must play if in the Phoenix area!

The course has gone down in quality for the past couple of years. There is green paint on the greens and even on the fairways to make it look like grass. Pretty bad shape for what had always been premier. :(. The greens putted very unpredictably due to the unevenness of the different surfaces.

This is definitely one of my top course's in the valley. Between the layout and the views you really get the ultimate experience. Bring your A game and a dialed in wedge and you can shoot low. Good luck out there but leave some birdies for me!

Love the layout but the course was in terrible shape (again) when I played recently. This course is so hit or miss on the quality of how it's maintained. If they would keep it in good condition, I would easily give it a four star.

Played on July 27th and overall the course was in good shape. The greens were a little slow and I had a few shots in the middle of the Fairway, but ended up in a dead patch of grass, but overall it was in good shape.

Me and three buddies played Sunday July 24th. We teed off at 8:15am. Obviously it is summer and the golf courses take a beating. The greens on the front nine were rolling well in the morning and were in pretty good shape. The back nine greens were much "fuzzier" due to the sun and breeze drying them out so putting was much more of a challenge. Even though a handful of their fairways were under repair in spots, it was worth the $45 to play. As always, I much prefer the front nine ;) the back nine can eat you up if your not hitting fairways as they are much more narrow -- views on the back are really awesome though! Go play Eagle Mountain!

I want to thank Brett and the ENTIRE Eagle Mountain staff for a great "card-holder" appreciation event. An afternoon of golf-on-the-house, followed by a great buffet and raffle prizes. (BTW, who does not like mac & cheese after 18 holes?) As I have so often stated, Eagle Mountain's employees are customer service centric. Brett and Staff, great job, not only during the event, but every day!

The Restaurant at the Golf Club is very good. We usually go for breakfast on Sundays after church but went to lunch there with a group of friends and it was very good. It was a Friday and we had their fish and chips and it was excellent. Others had a quesadilla, and two cobb salads. Everyone was very pleased with their food.
