Had a great experience getting fitted for a putter. I worked with Will and he was great at walking me through the different steps of the process and explaining what he was looking for. He asked what price point I was mainly interested in right away and never tried to push me to spend more than I originally wanted to. I also had a gift card that, unbeknownst to me, was supposed to be online only but the staff found a way to make it work with very little hassle. Overall, a top notch experience!

If you want some better clubs and prefer not to spend it all on new this is the place to go. I got professionally fitted for a new driver and fairway wood, then came back and got fitted for new irons and a putter and couldn't be happier with what I ended up with!! Jake Montgomery is who I worked with both times and he was great! He also helped me correct a few things in my swing that I had been forgetting to do since I only started playing again last year after a 8-year hiatus. Hitting straighter and farther now, much like I used to. Highly recommended!

I arrived with a budget for used irons and left with custom-fitted new irons, within my budget! Andrew Plunkett was highly educated in all areas of golf and was happy to answer my naive questions. I’m just getting more into golf and had an old set of clubs I got from a co-worker, so decided to get fitted for a new set. Scheduled a fitting with Mike Sogard and honestly it was the most fun I’ve had at a golf related activity so far. Usually I want to pull out the Happy Gilmore club throw, but not that day. It was great to try a variety of clubs to see what felt best for me…and also have some corresponding data from the simulator. Mike was super knowledgeable and kept it fun and low pressure. I ended up getting a new set and my husband even got a driver and iron! I would highly recommend this for anyone, whether just starting out or more advanced. I’ll definitely come back when I need to get some new clubs!

Scheduled a tour van fitting with Tyler Fitzel for a new driver and irons. I walked away with a new driver and new irons and I was under my budget. Tyler did a great job explaining all the metrics to me and putting me with clubs that best fit my game. He did not push any one brand or the most expensive clubs. He put me into the clubs that best fit my swing and my game. He also gave me tips on ways to fix my swing and explained why the metrics were showing what they were. Tyler made this a fantastic experience and had excellent customer service. I walked away very excited about my purchase and have hit the clubs great! I would highly recommend scheduling a fitting with Tyler!

Went in thinking I wanted new clubs. Got a Tour Van fitting with Tyler F. And had an amazing experience. Tyler took time to let me warm up, swing on my driver, then started handing me a few different drivers. He made sure to let me just swing without knowing what I was hitting to make sure the fit and feel was right. Tyler was very patient and kind as I am not an experience golfer and even gave me referrals to pros in my area for lessons. Would highly recommend working with him if you’re in the market for new clubs! Track man was great technology, wish I can have access to this daily!

Tyler and staff were great! I went for a fitting to update a severely old set I've been playing for the last 15 years and could not be happier. Tyler and I met for 2 hours and hit multiple brands in the simulator to determine the best clubs for my game. His understanding of the technology and feedback of my swing made me feel very comfortable upgrading my clubs, and I'm very excited to get out and play. Highest recommendations. Had a great fitting with Dean Goodwin last week. I have never done a fitting, but was ready to invest in some new clubs. Dean was patient and extremely helpful considering I really didn't know exactly what I needed in regards to club type, etc. Had two brands in mind going in, but Dean made some additional recommendations after watching me shoot and ultimately went with one of his options. Going back to see Dean again for driver and wood fittings. Great experience, would highly recommend. Looking forward to getting new clubs!

I've always gone here for anything golf related, these folks are simply the best. I went in looking for a newer driver, and Jacob was absolutely fantastic. I had my mind set on the Cobra F9, but he quickly deduced it wasn't going to be good based on my swing mechanics (and as a lefty myself, he was great about being able to flip that in his head when going over terms with me). He went through at least 8 different combinations with me before finding one that felt amazing from the first swing on the simulator. He was also great about finding something on the lower end of my price point. I will always come here for clubs, and you should too!

I met with Andrew Plunkett for my first fitting ever. I got fitted for a driver, putter, and irons. He was very good at explaining all the different measurements of my swing and which in particular were more important for my game currently. He let me try out multiple options and choose which one I preferred. He was data driven, but knew that feel played an important role as well, so he left the decision ultimately up to me. I'm very happy with the new clubs and look forward to coming back for woods/wedges/whatever in the future.

Got fitted for drivers/woods with Dean Goodwin. I could not have more nice things to say -- Dean was extremely helpful, engaged, and committed to helping me find the exact clubs i needed to optimize my game. He was patient and did NOT cut any corners. Even gave me a transformational swing tip at the end of our session which has substantially improved my ball striking ability. Dean is phenomenal. Highly recommend scheduling a fitting with him.

Andrew Plunkett worked with me for new clubs. My fitting lasted nearly two hours, during which Andrew was very personable and extremely knowledgeable. He asked the perfect questions to learn what my style of game and physicality required. I had a great experience with Max at the Minneapolis store. Max worked with me to find the best set of used clubs to fit my game. I tried a set of irons in the simulator, followed by a driver and fairway wood. Max even recommended a different driver from the one originally selected, which worked great. He also spent time with me to select the right putter. The clubs were in great shape and I know I would have spent a lot more if these clubs were brand new. I took the clubs to the range the next day and was very impressed. Shots were going farther and straighter than in the past. I can't wait to get out and play a round with these clubs.

They did a great job in finding a club that will improve my game and add distance to my drives. I would recommend Will Frazier for a club fitting as he was friendly and easy to work with. We talked a lot about what my needs were and how I wanted to improve my game. He listen to my thoughts and gave great feedback. I was looking for a used driver to give me more distance and help me to drive the ball straighter. He put together 4 different clubs and in a short while I was driving the ball 30 yds farther and much closer to the center of the fairway. The $100 cost was included in my purchase price and it is a great value to have a club put together to match my swing esp for a higher handicapper like myself. The club comes with a 30 day return policy for in store credit if I decide its not right for me. It's a win win situation and I will be back for more when I start looking to replace my irons! I came into second swing looking to upgrade my driver, and Travis did a great job of helping me out. He asked me a lot of questions about what I’m looking for and what my golf game is like. I was able to try out 3 different ones and he explained everything about my swing on each one. He even asked what the budget was and suggested that I can wait a few months and get the driver I liked for cheaper. Just shows he cares a lot about each customer. Thanks so much Travis!

Had a great experience here, my wife and I are new to the sport and went in the store looking for drivers. Jeff really helped us by explaining the different styles of clubs and which one might work best based on our swings and experience level. He even gave us a brief lesson while on the simulator. The patience and attention we received really left an impression. We left with two new drivers and will definitely go back in the future for other clubs!

I had a great experience going in to get fitted for clubs. Got to hit a few iron sets and going into I thought I knew what I wanted. After seeing the data and working with James (he was awesome and very knowledgeable) we found a Ping set that fit me best. I couldn't be happier with the decision. This is one of the only places/locations I go to. Even time I have gone in for a different one off club, everyone has been amazing to work with. I would recommend this location 10 out of 10 times!

I had a great experience buying my clubs with my fitter Jake Montgomery. This was the first set of clubs I had bought since I was a kid, and I wasn't sure what I needed. Jake helped me find a set at the right price for what I needed, not what was expensive or what he liked. Jake took the time to answer all my questions and let me find the right set of clubs for me. Great experience!

2nd swing is great. I’ve had excellent experiences working with them every single time. I’ve purchased clubs in store in Minneapolis and they have a great selection. I’ve also purchased items online and the process is easy and shipping is fast. Today I got fitted for some new clubs and will definitely be back when I upgrade the rest of my clubs. The fitting process is great and there are so many clubs to test out. Trading in my old clubs was a breeze. Great spot for new and used golf equipment.

Booked a full bag fitting for my son with Michael Sogard 2 weeks ago. Drove 4 hrs both ways to spend some father/son time and get the 2nd Swing experience. Michael spent a full 2 hrs with my son and getting him hooked up with clubs right-sized for him and ones that he felt comfortable hitting. He walked out of the store jacked about his 'new to him' set of irons and woods...no longer needing to borrow dad's bag. I appreciate and think there is value in the extra investment in time and $ (could have bought them cheaper on ebay, etc) to pair him up with a set of clubs right for his swing and skillset and more importantly that he is confident in hitting. Michael did a great job working with my son. He was fully engaged with and respectful around our needs, and his confidence and insight assured us in our decision to choose a fitting and club purchases at 2nd Swing. Excited for Spring to arrive and spend some time on the course. Thanks to Michael for his help in getting my son (and me) fired up for golf season!

I had a club fitting with Dean Goodwin yesterday and was very impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail in the process. He was very patient! I was under the impression that club fittings were more for the above average golfer but I learned from Dean that isn't the case. It's more about maximizing what any golfer at any level can do with clubs tailored for them. Of course it is quicker and easier to purchase a set of clubs at a retail outlet but I would encourage anyone if they would like to "enjoy" their game more - with better striking ability of the ball - to take the time and go through the process of having clubs fitted that are more suited for you and your game. Ask for Dean - he'll tee you up! He's great!

I went in for a new driver fitting at the Minneapolis location and worked with Tyler Fitzel to find the perfect driver for my swing. Needless to say, I had an awesome time with Tyler and he was able to dial in the best driver for me! Tyler made my time enjoyable and stress-free. Tyler did a great job in Minneapolis. He was very knowledgeable, and helped me to pick out a great driver. He even helped me to get a better deal than I initially thought was available. He was mindful of the direction I was initially leaning, while also keeping my options open with other clubs that might be worth considering. He helped me to adjust and zero in further on a club than I thought possible. If you are going to be spending a few hundred anyways, there is no reason not to take advantage of what effectively becomes a free fitting.

As a complete novice golfer looking to get into golf, I recently scheduled an appointment for a club fitting. There I was paired with Jake Montgomery, who was wonderful to work with. He showed me a variety of clubs to start but helped me hone in on what clubs felt best among the bunch. When pairing that 'feel' with the machine tracking stats, we found a set that is working out for me! Throughout the visit I asked a ton of questions and Jake was insightful with his golf tips, and tricks and provided good advice on how to get started in the sport.

I stopped into the store to have the lofts & lies of my irons verified and adjusted by a professional. Max greeted me at the counter, and immediately started working on my clubs. He took the time to explain where the clubs were at when I brought them in, and also provided great advice regarding how often I should bring the clubs in to be checked. I recently had a Full Bag Tour Van fitting with Dean Goodwin at the Hennepin location in Minneapolis and could not have been happier. Dean was very thorough, answered all my questions, provided a wide variety of club head and shaft options, many more than I had originally anticipated. Dean was able to provide me with the iron set the day of the fitting, making the recommended loft adjustments on-site. I've been able to play 1 round with the new irons and am quite pleased, but I'll need some time to adjust to my new-found added yardage and accuracy. My 13-year-old son had an iron fitting with Tyler Fitzel at the Minneapolis store. His golf instructor referred us to Tyler, and I was very impressed with his knowledge and the ability to explain everything so well. He did a detailed analysis and it was amazing to see the difference in the clubs. My name is Sam and I just had an amazing club fitting experience with Josh. I am a brand new player (about two weeks in) and was using my dad's old clubs. Josh genuinely cared about what I wanted to accomplish, and we worked with my budget flawlessly. He even gave me some swing tips along the way. I would definitely recommend this service to boost your confidence and see your numbers on the trackman if you're serious about getting better at the game. We gained some extreme loft and yardage I was missing out with the old technology. Not only that but we found clubs that were visually pleasing to me as well. I had a fitting with Mike Sogard on 8/11. It was a great experience! Mike found me the exact clubs I needed, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm more of a recreational player and wasn't sure what to expect with the fitting. After going, I highly recommend letting these guys fit you for clubs no matter what experience level. If you are looking to get into a new set of clubs, this is the place to go. I will be recommending to everyone.

He supported me through the driver fitting and identified some issues with my swing which translated to not only my driver but my irons as well. Very personable and got a mini lesson to go along with my fitting. I will be back next summer to get fitted for irons and will look to set up time with Micheal.

Have worked with Dean and Andrew at the Minneapolis store and both are great! Very knowledgeable, good people who are passionate about helping versus other places that are going through the motions. They have helped me dial in on the best driver head and shaft combination helping me gain 20 yards further on my drives and tightening my dispersion. Also 2nd swing has universal driver head tips that you can try multiple heads with the shaft you like.

My son is really getting into golf so it was time to get him his own clubs. We scheduled a fitting with Michael Sogard at the Minneapolis location and could not have been more please with the experience. This guy knows his golf clubs. The whole process took about an hour and I don’t think I could have asked Michael to be any more thorough. Amazing customer service and incredibly knowledgeable. The store layout was very easy to navigate and the selection of clubs was almost never ending. There is something for every price range and also for every experience level. This is our second time purchasing clubs from this location and I promise it will not be our last.

I went in to look for a new driver and Tony helped me out. I told him what I was looking for and he gave me multiple suggestions. After I hit a few in the trackman he looked over the numbers while making adjustments to the drivers to better suit my swing style. He showed me which drivers I was hitting best and ultimately left the final choice to me between two drivers and I went home with a driver I felt confident with. Had a fitting for a wedge and putter with Michael Sogard and I couldn’t have left happier. Jacob was my fitter and did a great job, his personal knowledge was second to none, he took the time to find me the right clubs and to make sure the the fit, balance, shaft stiffness was right on. I have to give a big heads up to this superior service on this, my last set of clubs for retirement. Way to go Jake!!!

I met with Dean Goodwin for a driver fitting. I haven’t played golf since high school, so my knowledge of current equipment was out of date. Dean explained the characteristics of a good fitting driver and had me test various combinations in order to find the driver that fit best. As I thought about making the appointment, I was skeptical if it would be worth it. After the fact, I can say that I’m glad I did, as the difference between what I had and what I selected as a new driver is very noticeable. Dean was very approachable and I’ll seek his help with future club selections.

Got fitted for an iron set yesterday morning with Jake. Very happy with the overall experience! I am getting back into golf after years of being away from the game. Jake was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about all the clubs available. I also didn't feel like I was being pushed for the most expensive stuff. After purchasing the set I was told 24-48 hours for the clubs to be ready. They called me 3 hours later saying they were ready. Will be returning for other fittings and clubs.

I had a driver and iron set fitting with Michael Sogard last week. He was great about explaining the process and how they use data to review each swing. He got a baseline with my current clubs and then recommended 3 different iron sets and 3 different drivers to try. Each of those was then tested and analyzed. They don't work on commission so there was no pressure to buy the most expensive clubs. Michael even recommended the least expensive iron set out of the three since the data showed the best results with those irons. Michael was very knowledgeable and so far the results on the course are great. I highly recommend the club fitting service at 2nd Swing Golf.

Tyler did a great job with my fitting. We talked a bit of teaching first (we are teachers on many levels), then onto my golf game and what I hope to get out of it, my swing and ball flight tendencies, and then got into the real data (reals versus feels). Being a biology teacher, Tyler made sure to keep the right constants in the fitting equation and outside variables to a minimum. This really made a refined fitting in my opinion. I walked out feeling very confident that I was fitted into the irons, driver, and putter that was made for ME! NOTE - I did a full bag fitting but was a bit tired at the end when Tyler had me swinging some 5 woods to potentially fit in my bag. At that point, the data was just not bearing out that any was a good fit for me. Be it fatigue (probably) or just not the right clubs (possibly), Tyler didn't at that point try to fit the square peg in the round hole. He instead, suggested I go with what I had in my bag, try it ,and come back another time when I was fresh to complete the fitting. After years of inconsistent putting, I went to Andrew to find a putter that will provide better results and chances at making more putts. By using the Quintic technology, the data proved I was using the completely wrong type of putter. Quintic technology shows what your current putter is doing, Andrew compares those numbers to optimal spin and launch angle numbers in terms you can understand. Through the fitting process Andrew found a putter for me that had me rolling the ball with optimal numbers. I scheduled a fitting at 2nd swing on a whim as I wanted to see if I truly could get a few extra yards and a tighter control with fitted clubs. Let me tell you it was worth it! My fitting was with Dean Goodwin and he was exceptional, he explained everything to me and had all the answers I needed. But most of all, during the fitting process Dean listened and applied all the feedback I was giving him with each being of the club. I just started golfing this year, but decided to get fit for a new driver because the ones I bought secondhand just never felt right. Mike Sogard was my fitter I cannot speak highly enough my experience with him. Within 5 swings with my original driver, he could tell the shaft was too light, and the incorrect flex. He had me try 5 other drivers with adjusted shafts, and club speed went up 10mph instantly. Mike set me up with the clubs that were right for me, not the latest, greatest, and most expensive. Ultimately, I left with a new driver, hybrid, and wedges, all way under what I was expecting to spend. The whole process was informative, low pressure, and just plain fun. With in a few putts that I made with a new Ping Tyne 4, he knew exactly the tweaks we needed to get the loft and lie dialed in. Then, we went on their video capture in the putting area and figured out the skid along with all the other metrics we needed. He then adjusted the length of the shaft...and presto!!! *7/6 update-i was so happy with my wedge fitting and got the bug to replace my very old irons and scheduled a tour van fitting with Tyler Fitzel. I cannot speak highly enough about Tyler and how the fitting went. He went above and beyond and while breaking down the numbers and performing the fitting, he helped me correct my swing and by the end of my fitting I smashed a few high speed, straight, with a little draw, balls that felt so satisfying compared to my old swing. I can’t wait for my new irons to come in and would recommend Tyler to anyone looking for a great experience (in fact I have already tried to pressure some friends into setting up a fitting)! Great experience at 2nd Swing. I had a wedge fitting with Jake and he was incredibly helpful. I’m not a very good golfer (and full of lots of mishits) and going in for a fitting was an intimidating concept. Jake was friendly, very knowledgeable in answering my questions and also explaining the differences in the club options and making suggestions for my game. I was also very happy/surprised by the quick turnaround in having my custom clubs ready (about 4 hours!). I’m a newbie to golf, with this summer being my first. My clubs are one of those prepackaged sets that you can purchase. Every club in the bag is too long and heavy, and has standard sized grips despite being “women clubs.” There is nothing more frustrating than learning how to play golf with clubs that don’t adequately fit your size. I’m currently in the process of transitioning from my beginner set to clubs that are more appropriate igh t for me and my skill level. As someone that is still learning the game, I wasn’t sure where to begin my journey. There are so many brands, styles, sizes, etc. My husband told me that I needed to be fitted and that Second Swing was a good place too have this done. I was hesitant at first, but he eventually convinced me to do it. When we went there today (Minneapolis location), we were immediately greeted and helped by their friendly staff. I worked with their PGA Pro, Andrew Plunkett, and had him fit me for a driver. Golf is kind of an intimidating sport, as hitting balls in front of great golfers can be a bit nerve wracking for someone that lacks experience. Andrew was very professional, extremely knowledgeable and made the entire experience a lot of fun! It wasn’t at all what I had expected and I ended up purchasing a driver that I really love. When I’m fitted in the near future for new irons, etc., I will definitely be going back to Andrew. I cannot recommend Second Swing and Andrew enough.

Went to 2nd Swing in Minneapolis for the first time today. Was looking to get a new (or used) set of irons and possibly a Driver as well. Sam was the Associate who assisted me. He asked me some general questions to gauge my ability level and what I was looking to find. He then guided me to a couple of irons options and had me take some swings. After trying out 3 different sets of clubs we landed on Titleist T-300 irons. I also took some swings with a couple of Drivers, but didn't like the results I was seeing on their launch monitor or the feeling I got at contact. Sam was super helpful and I never felt rushed or pressured. I walked out with the irons and had a great experience. I will definitely be back the next time I need clubs.

My husband and I were referred to 2nd Swing in Minneapolis, MN by a friend who was fitted for clubs there and said he had a great experience. Last year in 2021, I decided to give them a try. I was fitted for new irons by TJ Hallfin, he was AMAZING! He took his time and made sure I was comfortable. He even squeezed in a putter fitting. The irons improved my game, just recently I shot a 34 on a par 27 course. I'm not going to share what my scores were before, they were not good. This year I wanted a new driver, I made my husband drive 2 hours one way from Cloquet, MN to 2nd Swing in Mpls because my first experience was so great. I was not disappointed, I was lucky enough to have TJ again and he helped me find my new Ping driver and I enjoyed the experience. He even helped my husband find his new 3 wood. There is no other choice, hands down the best place to go! Not to mention the location is really easy to find. Go book your appointment with TJ, he's fantastic!

I had my full bag fitting, with Andrew Plunkett, at 2nd Swing Tour Van on East Hennepin Ave, in Minneapolis, MN. Andrew is a great guy-friendly, relaxed-easy to talk with. He asked really good questions, such as "what did I want to improve on in my game-distance, accuracy, trajectory, etc". I answered "all of the above". He smiled and said "let's get at it". He also asked if I had a particular make of club that I was leaning toward. I didn't want to bias the fitting, so I said no-whichever brand seems to fit me the best. Andrew had me hit four different clubs, with different flex shafts, from four different brands of golf club makers. I hit a lot of golf balls-LOTS! He encouraged me several times to take a break, so that I wasn't swinging tiredly. We used the Trac Man 4 launch monitor, of which I'd read great things about. Andrew was very thorough in explaining all of the launch monitor info, and the printed graphs that he gave me when we were finished. He also tested me for how flush my clubhead was to the turf, at ball contact, and explained the adjustment he'd order from the club maker. I'd read up on club fittings a good amount, and what I received that day, was more than I could've asked for. I couldn't think of any questions to ask when we were done-they were already answered. He gave me his email address/phone in case I had questions down the road. I am totally satisfied-extremely happy with how my club fitting went, how soon my clubs were ready, and love my new clubs. I'd recommend Andrew, and 2nd Swing Tour Van to anyone and everyone. Thanks Andrew!

My new iron fitting was with Dean Goodwin in the Tour Van at the Minneapolis 2nd Swing and it was fantastic. I swung several head/shaft options and the data on Trackman showed some obvious winners. Once Dean pointed out the top 2-3 options from Trackman, I chose the Mizuno JPX 921 forged irons with the Project X LZ 6.0 shafts based on performance and feel. It was like a caddie listening to his player - ultimately the player has to hit the shot he wants. The caddie's job is not to tell the player what to do, but to listen to how his player is feeling and guide the player. Fantastic Service! I was in the US for business and ran into 2nd Swing in Minneapolis with 45 mins to buy an iron set - used or new. I scheduled a Tour Van fitting with Tyler Fitzel, I was in the market for new irons and possibly a new driver. Tyler did a great job explaining all the metrics to me, I had narrowed down the irons I was interested in to 2 manufacturers. We got to work hitting the irons, Tyler has great honesty and is willing to tell you if a club is not going to work for you, I appreciate this because it saves unnecessarily hitting clubs that won't work for you. After multiple shaft changes and fine tuning we got a good fit in the irons. Next was to hit some drivers. After some different drivers and shaft changes I wasn't seeing much of a difference from my existing driver, Tyler gave me some swing tips but also explained why the distance wasn't matching up with swing speed. We decided to wait until the spring to dial in on a driver. Thanks for the hard work and tips Tyler, great fitting experience.

I had a iron fitting with Andrew Plunkett yesterday and was very impressed with his knowledge. I felt like he had my best interest in mind. I am a Senior and was looking to improve my consistency/accuracy and distance. Andrew led me towards the Senior flex graphite shafts and kept me with the Ping irons that I have played forever and like. Increased my distance my 20 yards and accuracy was way better. He also didn't push the driver and fairway clubs on me, but encouraged me to try out the irons and then look at the other clubs in the bag later this summer. Thanks Andrew for a great experience. I had an hour long iron fitting with Tyler Fitzel, I was very pleased with the time spent in the simulator. Tyler has the experience and knowledge that I was looking for in a club fitter. We walked through specs ranging from launch angle, spin rate, club head speed, and what clubs and shafts would be appropriate for my swing. Jake was my fitter. He was professional, knowledgeable, experienced and chill. I set up a swing evaluation for a used set of irons. Jake helped me navigate to a set of irons that was right for me. I was able to swing for a full hour and try out 6 sets of irons. He did not pressure me out of my spending goal. Great driver fitting experience with Drew Bjordal! He's extremely knowledgeable and explains all the data points he's looking at when trying out clubs. I was stuck between two drivers where look, feel, and distance were about the same, Drew showed me some small differences in launch, spin, and attack angle that helped me make a decision. The fitting was 10/10, very efficient and affective fitting, explained the different statistics they looked at well. Only complaint is the trade in I found the exact same clubs I was trying to trade but the ones I found on the second swing website had 2 less wedges than what I had brought in and they were charging $200 more dollars than what they offered me. Definitely worth selling your clubs on your own time rather than trading in. Otherwise was a great experience Jake Montgomery was really good at his job also has a very sweet lookin mustache.

For Mother's day, my husband set up an analytical session in order to buy a driver. I bought a driver, a hybrid club, and set of irons - all used clubs, that fit my size and swing. Reviewing the analytics of my shots with each club made the session interesting and fun. My daughter was impressed with my "Smash factor." I had a driver fitting with Andrew Plunkett. Very impressed. He asked me a lot of questions. He showed me a lot of metrics. He explained a lot of metrics. We tried a lot of combinations of drivers with different shafts. He recommended a shaft based on my swing speed that was not cheap. He actually recommended me trying the shaft on my current driver, which would have been less expensive. I actually was going to go with the combination based on my improved yardages. Which would have been the least expensive option.But of course the gods said not so fast. The last swings of the fitting actually produced the longest and most accurate drives. So I went with the most expensive option! But the point of this longish story is Andrew wanted the best fitting for me even if it meant a smaller sale (they don’t work on commission BTW). Would definitely see Andrew for any future club needs.

Great experience with the different staff members that I had contact with. I tried to schedule a spur of the moment full bag fitting hoping there was a slot available. There wasn't a two hour fitting available but I was able to get my irons fitted and scheduled the following week for the other clubs. I was apprehensive about getting fitted to start with which is why it was scheduled last minute. I wasn't sure my game was sufficient for a fitting. I met Andrew Plunkett for my session and was immediately at ease with him. No false pretense or pushiness. Just good vibes from the start. I was able to settle down, settle in and feel like my game was worth it. Andrew walked me through the process and let the numbers speak for themselves. I was literally blown away by the raw data and subsequent improvements. If you're hesitant about getting fitted or think your game isn't worth it I urge you to rethink your position. Jacob Montgomery helped me with my driver fitting yesterday. First, he asked me what I was looking for, price, if I wanted a specific brand, and how I currently play. I was totally open to anything so he gave me 3 drivers to test and after using 2 of them he went out on the floor and grabbed a different driver that he thought would be a good fit. I hit 4 balls with that one and boom, he figured it out and I was dialed in. He knew instantly I needed a higher gram shaft and that solved my slicing issues. That driver ended up being the most reasonably priced of the 3 so I appreciated that too. Overall, I had a great experience, felt comfortable, and I will be going back. Jake answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable.

Mike was very patient with me and his subtle encouragement made me feel comfortable in a place that can be overwhelming for someone who isn't great at golf like myself. He knows more than I'll likely ever know about golf but he did in no means come off as arrogant. I left excited about the game with a great set of used clubs. When my swing gets better and I start to lower my scores I will not hesitate to book another fitting. The data I received from Trackman was worth the $150...so even if you don't buy clubs you'll leave knowing more than when you came. Thanks again Mike, I really do appreciate your help and insight.

Had a full bag fitting recently with Dean Goodwin. I walked in not really knowing what to expect but came out with a full bag of clubs that I was confident in hitting. Dean was amazing to work with. The whole process went smoothly and was super efficient. Dean suggested a range of different clubs and shafts to work with and we eventually came out with very clear winners in each category. He even gave me some tips on my putter stroke as well. I’ve heard that other fitters like Golftec, are way more expensive than they should be, but Dean gave me a full sheet with all the prices and specs of each club and it was the same as the normal retail price of each club. Would highly suggest checking out 2nd swing and getting fitted!

I had an iron fitting with Will Frazier yesterday and had a great experience! I have only been golfing regularly for a few years and was hoping to gain more consistency and move into a more compact head size. Will was very knowledgable and after watching me take a few swings with my old irons and chatting through my golf experience, tendencies, & preferences he found 4 great options for me to try out - all of which fit my swing and I was able to hit much better than my last set (had a very hard time narrowing it down). He knew right away that I needed stiffer shafts and that helped immediately with my consistency. He explained all of the TrackMan data and showed me what he was looking for in each option. Will was never pushy and I didn't feel pressured to buy something on the spot. After narrowing down the best option for irons, we had some extra time and he showed me some hybrid and wedge options that I took a few swings with. I had an iron fitting with Will Frazier yesterday and it did not disappoint! I had never been fitted before and was hitting 13 year old irons. It was time. Will was very polite and loose right off the bat. Nothing felt forced. We hit a few balls with my current 7 iron and then started going through various other 7 irons and looked at the numbers. He was great at explaining to me each number, what they meant, and what we should be striving for. To my surprise, the clubs I hit best were more of a players iron. I would have bought the complete wrong type of club for my game if I hadn’t spent the time with Will. Also, the set I landed with had a huge dent in the 9 iron shaft, they guys at 2nd swing were sure to get it replaced and mail it to me in a few days. I had a Full bag fitting with Michael Sogard yesterday, and let me start out by saying what a great experience it was. This was my first club fitting and from the start Michael made you comfortable and that he was there to fulfill what you wanted to gain from the session. I already had a set of irons I was confident with, but of course there are times where as Michael likes to put it "Golf Happens." The knowledge that Michael has for the game and within less than 10 strikes of my 7 iron. He realized the angle of my irons had to be adjusted 2 degrees for a cleaner strike off the face. Awesome. Then it was time for the main reason of me being there. A Driver, Fairway Wood, and a Hybrid. Literally the first ones that Michael put in my hand were the ones I went with. My Ball Speed, Spin Rate and Carry improved substantially. After all that. It was time to look at my putter. Like my irons this took little time for Michael to evaluate. My putter needed to be cut down to make it feel more comfortable. That was it haha. My only advice for anyone coming into a club fitting for the first time is be prepared to swing, a lot; but know it's 100% worth the experience, and I would highly recommend Michael. I know for a fact my golf game will be better this year, and I'm truly looking forward to the years ahead!

Was fitted for new irons by Dean Goodwin at the MPLS location. Dean was very thorough and prepared, and did a great job right off the bat of telling me what we were looking at and what the improvement goals were that we would be looing at (current clubs vs new clubs). He asked questions about my swing, what my goals for improvement were, and had a handful of recommendations of clubs to try. As we progressed through the fitting, Dean gave me feedback on the performance of the club and also asked me how I felt about the given club. After trying approximately 10 different types of irons and multiple shaft combos (plus hitting my current set to establish a baseline), Dean was able to give me very clear and measurable feedback via the Trackman setup that matched the feedback that I got from the club (impact sound, feel, weight, etc). He helped me select a set that added approximately 12mph of ball speed, and 20 yards of distance, while also increasing the apex of my flight substantially. I have thought about getting fit for clubs for a few years now, and I have had some less than enjoyable interactions with other employees/fitters at some other local retailers, and that really discouraged me from pursuing this sooner. The experience I had with Dean was very enjoyable, and I could not be more satisfied. New clubs are not a small monetary investment, and the fitting with Dean made me much more comfortable that I was making the right selection - as opposed to grabbing something that looks cool off the rack and hoping that I like it. I would 100% recommend that you go through the fitting process with Dean Goodwin at Second Swing in MPLS. You will not be disappointed!

I recently had what was intended to be a full bag replacement fitting with James Seidel. James explained thefitting process and, after swinging several brands, i settled on a new set of irons. After swinging several drivers James suggested that, if I was satisfied with my current driver I continue using it because those I was testing were not performing much better than my current. I really appreciated his honesty. After after adding a hybrid we called it good. This was my first club fitting. James made the process relaxed and fun. There wasn’t any pressure sales at all. Went in for a fitting with Dean today looking for a fairway wood or hybrid that would fill the distance gap between my longest iron (4) and my driver. I was thinking hybrid because I had trouble hitting my current 3 wood and I would use the club off the tee and from the fairway. Dean had me hit both my driver and 4 iron to get my average distance for both and then we started hitting different fairway wood and hybrid options. Dean knew the clubs very well and picked the Ping G425 3 Wood and it fell right in between the two clubs exactly where I wanted to be. I hit it off the turf and a tee and had great results on both and the club felt great. I've been getting fit for clubs the last few purchases and it's the only way to go. I had a custom fitting with TJ Hallfin this past weekend and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. This my first time getting truly fitted for new clubs. TJ is extremely knowledgeable with the game of golf and really helped make me my decision on my new irons. He explained everything in a way for anyone to understand regardless of the experience you have with the game. I would highly recommend TJ for anyone looking to get fitted for new clubs!!

Andrew helped me with a club fitting using the “Trackman.” I am agnostic re brands, I just want the club that gives me the best numbers. We tested five club heads and then three shafts. It took about 40 minutes. I ended up with a club that should work with the bulk of my shots, not just the 5% of shots that are perfect, ok 1%. Andrew also educated me on the why and how each club was different. It was a useful learning process. I would not buy another club without doing a fitting.

Andrew Plunkett is the absolute best fitter at any 2nd Swing location in the Twin Cities! I have purchased clubs, balls towels from all of the locations but continue to go back to Minneapolis because of Andrew. He provides candid accurate feedback while fitting and will make time even if you’re not scheduled (provided he is not already booked). He even saw me on the range near the shop and stopped by to see how I liked the club. He gave me a quick impromptu lesson/tweak to my driver swing set up. To top it off he gave me a half bucket of his balls to finish out the day because I ran out just as he came to say hi. I cannot say enough good things about Andrew. You will not be disappointed in his service, expertise, or kindness. I highly recommend him. P.S. he even gave me a few pointers during my girlfriends fitting 😁 and is how I met him in the first place.

I've been playing golf for a long time and had never been fitted for any clubs before visiting 2nd Swing. After buying some clubs online, I quickly realized I needed their angle adjusted. I made an appointment with TJ to get fitted for irons, and he took me through all of their diagnostics to come up with the right solution that fit me. Frankly, I should've gotten fitted before buying them in the first place. I really appreciated that TJ didn't have an agenda or was trying to push a sale. He made me feel like we were a team on a mission to get my game dialed. Once we were done with my irons I decided to upgrade my 3 wood because of TJ's attention to detail and thoughtfulness. I told him what my budget was and he found awesome choices that I could test to see what fit my game best. After the experience I had with TJ, I'll get fitted for every club going forward and won't go anywhere else to get my game right. In TJ's bay I could tell every detail mattered, from is priced getting your diagnostics running to the vintage golf magazines on the cite range, it was golf nirvana. If you're thinking about getting new clubs and don't know what to get, book a slot with TJ and he'll get you flushing it in no time.

I had a fitting at the 2nd Swing Minneapolis and had a great experience with James Seidel. It was a very easy-going, but professional atmosphere. I would recommend getting fitted there to anyone. I also love that they are one of the few places in town where you can demo clubs on a simulator (trackman) even without a fitting. Update: Given my positive experience with my driver, 3W, and hybrid fitting, I went back later in the week for irons and wedges. This time I had Tyler Fitzel as my fitter and had an equally great experience. I ended up getting fit for Mizuno Pro 225 4-GW and Vokey 56 & 60 wedges. The fitting bays are top notch and the fitters' knowledge has been fantastic.

So, did the fitting, and Cam did a great job of working with me, and offered a couple of golf tips that helped immensely. I went in for my first fitting ever, and didn't know what to expect. Tyler was absolutely awesome to work with. I came in looking for a new driver, possibly a 3 wood. A lot of my previous purchases of golf clubs have been off the rack or e-bay. I went into this fitting to see if I was swinging the right equipment. I ended up leaving with the same driver, a new 3 wood shaft, and a new tsi3 hybrid. It was awesome to not feel pressured in getting the new items. Tyler worked with me in fine tuning my own equipment, and finding what work best and preformed best. Tyler just let the data speak for itself, and communicated in a way for you to understand. Would definitely go back for an iron fitting.

I was a little nervous coming in since I am relatively new to golfing. James Seidel was fabulous at helping me select a driver that was in my price range. I thought he may pressure me to buy an expensive one, but that was not the case. I have been given a good set of used Callaways, but since I am a woman over six feet, I was told they are too short. James assessed my swing and took measurements and I I ended up lengthening the clubs and getting new grips. Couldn't be happier!

I did a driver fitting with Jake Montgomery at the Minneapolis 2nd Swing and I can't say enough about my experience. For reference, I'm an 8.6 index and was looking to replace 12 year old TaylorMade RocketBallz that I broke. Jake listen to my issues with my current driver and what I was hoping to accomplish. Basically was looking for a club to lower my spin, nothing crazy. Jake was thoughtful with his recommendation and was able to fit me with a Callaway Epic LS. I lowered my spin rate from 3500 to 2500, adding about 20 yards of distance. This was back on May 31 and I have since played 5 rounds with the new club. Results from the simulator have transferred to the course and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend using Jake for your next fitting! Thank, Jake. I'll likely be back for an iron fitting soon.

Couldn't be happier with my experience here, and I don't think I'll ever buy clubs anywhere else. Had a fitting with James recently and he was extremely knowledgeable about all the data that we were seeing on trackman, and even gave me a few swing tips based on data which was helpful. Long session getting fitted for new irons and a hybrid which helped me improve my game immediately. I was also trying to buy a fairway wood and test new drivers but had hit over 100 balls at that point, so I wasn't super comfortable making a purchase. He fully agreed and didn't want to push anything or sell me anything, truly trying to fit me into the best clubs for my game. Prior to this I also had a great experience buying a putter from Michael, very helpful and friendly and was accommodating for my price range.

2nd Swing Golf is a class act. I had my first ever iron fitting done this weekend. Jacob Montgomery took care of things, and it was low key and enjoyable. I've only golfed about 20 rounds total in my life, but I was ready for an upgrade from my $100 Wilson set from years ago. I was surprised by how well the fitting session went and how much distance and height we were able to add to my ball flight while controlling spin. I recently did a club fitting session for a new driver with Tyler Fitzel at their Minneapolis location. 2nd Swing's simulators are incredible with the amount of data they produce, but Tyler was excellent at pointing out what was important and why. He had me hit a variety of drivers with different shafts and we reviewed how each of them felt along with the simulator data. I'm very happy with the Callaway driver I purchased. Tyler also offered some useful advice for my swing which I've implemented. If you're making an investment in new equipment, I highly recommend 2nd Swing and Tyler.

I was fitted for a set of PING i525 irons by Tyler Fitzel. Tyler was extremely knowledgeable and told me things I never knew such as having the correct shaft for your swing speed is key to consistency. I'd go to Tyler again, and likely will when it's time for new wedges. I'd give 5 stars, but I was a little disappointed that I was fitted the day after a "free dozen balls with an iron fitting" promotion and the manager wouldn't budge. It should be standard practice to throw in some balls or a hat when a customer spends that much on a set of irons.
