In early Spring 2021, I signed my son up to start playing golf in the Junior PGA league run by the head pro, Robert Costello. I also started having him take lessons from Coach Robert as well. I cannot say enough good things about both Coach Robert and the course itself. He is the best kids golf coach I've ever met. I actually took a lesson from him and now my wife is getting ready to start taking lessons from him. The course is extremely well maintained. It has good holes with minimal blind shots, which I like. The greens are nice and the practice area is large. If you're looking for an activity for your kid or a good day out on the course with your buddies, this is the place to go. Coach Robert is an incredible instructor!

Recent June 2022 visit, fairways and greens were in great shape, really solid course with a great layout... No alcohol sales so BYOB, also no real food besides snacks, hot dogs and tiny cold cuts lol Great layout, the bunkers were phenomenal!!! Especially for November... The rest of the course was in good shape, greens weren't too fast but they rolled true so all good... recommend playing at least once if you enjoy links style layout... Greens have plenty of options for pin placements with subtle undulations but overall pretty small so irons need to be on point

Beautiful course, well run and in great shape. The greens are fast, and if you hit it in the heather good lick finding it. There's a bit of local knowledge required to play the layout, so don't be shy asking for help. The cart had yardage that was relatively accurate, as with the wind an elevation changes some creative interpretation is required. The range is ok, unfortunately it seems to be right into the prevailing wind which makes it tough to tell how you are hitting it. The short game area is nice, and the practice putting green is exceptional. I'll be back!

The best semi-private course Louisville. Especially if you're looking to play a lynx course they always keep the fairways and greens nice and plush and the bunkers actually have real sand

Great links course just outside Louisville. I have lived here for 10 years and this is my go to course. WIde open if you spray a bit off the tee, rewards great iron play, greens always roll true without being too fast. Has good pace of play with a very friendly head pro. Has a couple of gimmicky holes but this is a course you can go to and score and have a great time.

This course is excellent! The upkeep even during the winter is outstanding, and it's a very challenging and fun course! Excellent fairways, tee boxes and greens. One of the best courses in Kentucky! $10 to walk 9 at this course. If you go with this option, do the front 9. I recommend a cart for the back 9 if you go that route, much more hilly terrain and very long holes and steep slopes make it harder to walk. Definitely recommend this course!

Best Public Course I have ever played A rare 5-star and well deserved. This course has it all from perfectly manicured tee boxes, fairways, greens, fringes, etc. to well maintained carts with GPS including F,M,B distances, a great staff that goes out of its way to be helpful, and finally easy to book tee times with fair prices. The course is well laid out and is, by far, the very best public course I have ever played. Players of all skills will enjoy this course as it is wide open to be more forgiving to novice players transitioning to rolling fairways and turns that can be deceptive to more skilled players. Although open, the rough grass is exactly that and can make a ball disappear better than David Copperfield. As of June 2017, the grass is perfect with a hard ground so expect healthy rolls, a benefit when hitting into challenging winds, and a hindrance on the greens if you hit low. The staff manages tee times well which translates into nice spacing resulting with no waiting ahead and no pushing from behind. The Pro Shop has a nice selection of golf products at reasonable prices (think Golf Galaxy) with food & beverages prices in-line with expectations. Hate giving up a great secret but this is the course to play if you are in Louisville. Again, one of the best public courses I have ever played and an awesome staff that goes beyond and above to exceed expectations.

Love this course. Possibly the best upkeep on any public access course in Louisville. Links style course and the heather grass will eat you alive if you don't have good ball placement off the tee. Lots of bound shots so be careful if it's your first time playing. Bunkers always in great condition. Fairways nearly perfect. Greens have lots of movement and typically play pretty fast. Only thing negative I could say is I wish their practice short game area was a bit bigger and better. Overall, a must play.

This should be a 5 star rating due to the course conditions and pro staff. Course is amazing, but the fact that I had 6 guys coming to play (group of 4 and a group of 2) with tee times of 1:20 and 1:30 and the group behind us was at the tee at 1:23 and was complaining and called the pro shop because we were “holding them up” on the first hole. If you don’t understand tee times and golf etiquette than do not play golf. My guys had 1:20 and 1:30 tee times so don’t show up for your 1:40 tee time at 1:23 and complain that my guys are “holding you up.” This place is disorganized and people just do whatever they want and think they own the place. Tee times are made for a reason. Both of my groups still finished 18 holes in 4 hours which is correct pace of play. Won’t be coming back.

For carts on the path and many people walking pace was very good. Just a little over 4 hours to play. Especially being somewhat wet. Fairways good shape and greens a little shavgy but this time of year to be expected

The course is pristine! The greens are fast and the deep rough is brutal. My first time playing Nevel Meade and for mid-October, there might not be a better place to play in the Louisville area.

Beautiful course with rough tee boxes. Some tee boxes didn't even offer a flat spot one. Wide open but a challenging course made for a fun day. Straighten out those tee boxes for $55 a round!

For being a public course, you would never guess it. The grounds are pristine for the most part and the driving range is one of the best values in town. It's a bit off the beaten path, unless you live in Oldham/Prospect, but it's worth going out for. As for the course itself, it plays fair and is unique for the area due to the lack of trees.

Really nice course. Especially for the price. Only downside is that they have no alcohol whatsoever for sale, but you can bring your own alcohol on the course (liquor or beer).
