Glen Oaks is a beautiful community, golf course, and country club all wrapped into one. My wife and I spent some time here while visiting my family during Mother's Day. The community is manicured and very well landscaped. We stopped by the Country Club just to check it out and it was beautiful as well. The front desk woman was very kind and welcomed us in. We made our rounds and took the video below from the balcony at the back of the Country Club. Definitely worth the time if you are stopping by the community.

Attended a wedding there last night. Beautiful ceremony on a covered veranda. The reception was inside and the Glen Oaks team provided an elegant setting. They plated food was good (tough to do a larger group in these environments), yet they could have used a few more servers. This would be a great facility for anyone's future wedding or gathering of 30 - 120 people. The building itself is nice and upscale .

The entire Glen Oaks team made our wedding day a dream come true! From the start to finish, Kelly and Shannon paid close attention to all details and gave us constant updates throughout the process. The set up was gorgeous and the food was a major hit! So many guests told us it was the best steak and salmon they’ve had at a wedding. Our guests can’t stop raving about how beautiful the venue was and how much fun they had! 10/10 would recommend Glen Oaks Country Club for any event! The staff is truly amazing!

Glen Oaks worked with us over many, many months to ensure that we had exactly what we needed and wanted on our wedding day. Shannon did a wonderful job taking care of us and we could tell that she genuinely wanted to make sure that we had the most smooth, enjoyable day ever. Our guests were very impressed with everything at Glen Oaks and the food was fabulous. We loved being able to get ready and have both our ceremony and reception all in one place. The whole GO team did a great job ensuring that everything was set up and executed for our perfect day.

It's a nice club with a beautiful golf course. The food at the club house is a 7 to 8 on a 1-10 scale. The residents are very friendly.

Glen Oaks was a dream wedding venue! We had our ceremony on the croquet lawn, cocktail hour on the beautiful veranda, and the reception inside. Such a unique and gorgeous venue - I loved having different areas and rooms for our guests to go. It truly felt like we had the entire building. The staff is also amazing! Emily - the event coordinator was absolutely fantastic to work with. We emailed back and fourth through the entire process and met 3+ times and I have to say she is the most organized/professional human being I’ve ever met. I don’t know how she does it! She is truly the BEST at what she does and she made our day exactly what we wanted with the perfect timeline. She handled our wedding so well - we couldn’t have done it without her. I can’t thank her and Glen Oaks enough!

First time in Iowa and first time in a country club. This restaurant has a great view of the golf course and a wonderful atmosphere. But enough about how beautiful the place is, the food was delicious. Since I was there for dinner I had the pizza. The staff was super polite and easy to talk to. They mentioned the pizza and the best part is that I could order a half a pizza and have as much toppings as I wanted....so I did. I ordered a half pizza with pepperoni, chicken, bacon, mushrooms, and onions. The pizza came out of a stone over and tasted amazing. If I lived near this place I would have lunch here just about every day. The best pizza place that I can relate it to is &pizza. It's a flat crust with fresh toppings. You can't go wrong with the pizza if you're here for lunch.

Our BNI meets every week at Glen Oaks. I really like Glen Oaks for many reasons including the staff, the breakfast, the business friendly environment etc. I cannot speak about the course since I have never played on it. I have also been to a wedding reception here and it was very well done with great food, great service and great dancing. This photo is me with an original mini Cooper that was parked in the parking lot today. Pretty cool!

Wow! We've spent the last couple of weeks visiting our in-law's who are members of this club so we've been able to go with them to the pool, out golfing and for various meals. We don't live in the area, but if we did I would venture to become a member - the club is amazing. The grounds and surrounding area are very well kept. We've tried plenty of options - from the more formal restaurant to the more casual fare by the poolside and each time the food was fantastic. Definitely a nice gem in the heart of Des Moines!

Beautiful facility and golf course. Amenities galore. Pool with mini water park and slides. Surrounded by million dollar homes. It is a look at how the other half lives. Gated community with 24hr a day guard on duty. If you can afford it, this is where you should be. If you have to ask, you cannot afford this.

What a beautiful place. Was there for meetings and was completely impressed with the layout and the views from the clubhouse. Service was on point at all times. They kept the tables cleared when food was served. Never missed a step. I look forward to next year and possibly a visit before then.

Beautiful. Great pool with water play and water slide. Very formal inside and clean but definitely snobby atmosphere. Located inside a gated community with million plus dollar houses. If exclusive, expensive, and stuffy is your thing. Go for it.

This is a great country club. We typically visit on special holidays for the brunch buffet (including a massive thanksgiving feast). We also use the swimming pool in the summer and it is perfect for our little kids.
