Big compliments to Linrick golf staff for the bunker improvements over the winter. Y'all have done a great job rebuilding the most important bunkers. I think removing the few you have will help with the long-term maintenance load. I played on a wet winter day, (see pictured, haha) but as always, I very impressed with the greens, which were alive, smooth, and consistent. I'm very, very excited for this year's season! Linrick is the best deal in the Columbia area and has some wild, challenging holes.

Good municipal course and the price is right. Has driving range and put practice. Friendly staff. crew seems to be always out maintaining things. Good place to just get out and play a basic round.

Had a great outing here last week and I have the say the greens were in outstanding shape! The course was beautiful as the leaves were beginning to change and my round was very enjoyable. My one critique of the course is the main facilities are somewhat dated and are in need of renovation. This does not ultimately detract from the quality of your round of golf but could certainly increase the attractiveness of the venue in the future. All around great golf spot, will definitely go back soon!

Enjoy the course, its a little bit of a drive from Columbia proper, but nothing too extreme. I do think you can tell this is a county owned and operated club. The ‘Clubhouse’ badly needs to be re-done, it’s like walking back to the 80’s. As far as golf goes, I really do like the course, think there are a lot of really good and interesting golf holes that present challenges. My 1 complaint is the greens…it was like playing on a wet sponge. Im not sure if they need to water less, put down some sand, or whatever, but it’s not good. Nothing rolls out, everything hits and stops. Counterpoint however is for $40 on a weekend morning, the value is really hard to beat. I do kind of wish the County would sell to a proper golf management company, an influx of cash, and this could be a really great place to play, even if it were a few dollars more per round.

Nothing fancy as far as clubhouses or shop go. But the course was well maintained. Except the bunkers do not have actual sand. It's been there so long it's just hard. Not real sand traps. Could use some sand in bunkers but everything else looks good.

Loved the course played with a wonderful group. Course a little dry in spots due to local droughts. Interesting layout and friendly staff.

Played here yesterday for my second time. They are doing great things at this place. They are re-doing the bunkers and almost all of them were finished. They are bright white, raked and soft. The greens were in great condition. Def take the ride out and play this spot. Best deal around for $40 and nicer than some that are $60. I can't wait until the spring gets here and it gets green.

Decent course for municipal. Definitely tight and challenging with a solid layout. Fairways were in good shape, greens were a 3/5 (squishy and furry) hence the drop in stars. Decent bang for your buck for the average golfer

Best golf for the money in Columbia and some really cool holes. It's a municipal course and has some slow greens but it's very well maintained and the staff is very nice.

Great fun layout regardless of skill. Front is a easy walk. Back nine is a tough walk. Course is in great shape. Can't beat the bang for the buck. It is also a city course- in the country. Only two gripes - 1)- Lots of ball marks on the greens. 2)- Some loud foursomes every time I have played. Music blaring and yelling with horseplay. A bit of enforcement should help. Other than that I love this course.

Course is amazing, one of the better municipal courses I've ever played. A great mix of challenges. Over water, hard doglegs, greens with large elevation changes..... Well worth the money

I really enjoyed this golf course. It is challenging and has some memorable holes. The fairways and tee boxes were not in the best of shape, but the greens were immaculate. All in all, it was a very good round and I would recommend this course.

Went here to golf on 4/17/21. Fairways and greens were ok. The rest was pretty bad. Tee boxes were full of weeds and the rough was just hard pan. In my opinion, this course is ok but not worth what they are asking for 18+ cart

In desperate need of a starter! Go there on your tee time and the 1st tee box is always 3-5 groups behind. Good walking course, front 9, back nine you’ll get your exercise. Over a great place to play, players need to repair more ball marks and help take care of the course.

First time playing this course and it far exceeded expectations. I thought $40 was pretty steep for a municipal course, but after playing I think it is priced correctly. At or below average cost compared to other courses in the area, but at or ABOVE quality compared to others. Will definitely be back in the future

I used to play this course around 30 years ago. There was no irrigation and the rough was red clay and rocks. Thats why we called it Lin-rock. To get a tee in the ground at the tee box was impossible. But I always thought it was a good layout. Now I am pleasantly surprised! Green fairways, grass roughs, and greens to be envious of. You have got to see the change for yourself. I won't discuss the traps as they do need work. Overall, very pleased and it is still one of the best layouts in the area.

Great place to play golf compared to some of the other golf courses in the area. Long par 5's for me anyways hole 16 par 5 over water and 17 uphill par 3 are just brutal. hot dogs and snacks are good just an overall good experience playing here. Have been back several times and will continue to come back.

Great course. It's has nice greens in good shape. Not a flat course. Fairways are good too. It's a bit harder than flat lying courses. Some elevated and low areas. Overall I think it challenges even better golfers.

Played there for the first time today. Staff - Kimmy was awesome, sweet, friendly, professional, thank you. Now the course was anything but friendly, lol. Greens were awesome for this time of year. Fairways were in good shape but there's rarely a flat spot to be found. Always seemed to be playing some sort of angle, ball above or below my feet and or a downhill or uphill angle. Pretty sure I only missed 2 fairways and it still seemed like I was grinding on every shot. Greenside rough was mostly dormant and very tight lies. The course layout, especially on the back nine, was exceptionally challenging. It's not the kind of golf course you can over power. IMHO it's about placement and patience. This course kicked my butt. I can't wait until late spring or early summer to give it another try. Worth the money but manage your expectations, it's a challenge.

4 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. The group ahead of us drove golf carts to the edge of the greens. Tee boxes need help, they have little to no grass. The greens are the worst I’ve played this year. Nice layout nd mix of holes. Apparently the price was right as the place was packed.

I played this course with my father. The course is nicer than you would think for a county course. Some of the holes have incredible differences in terrain from the tee to the green. The pro shop is small. They had barbecue in a crockpot for a lunch snack. The prices were reasonable, staff was helpful, and the starter was fairly laid back.

The golf course is very nice and well laid out. Soft greens and a challenging course. I would have given this course 4 stars except for the following: The man in the pro shop was a little snippy and he seemed irritated when we had a mis communication about green fees. I told a couple of my buddies about this and they said they had noticed him acting the same way when they played there. I may be back but won't expect any hospitality next time.

I played this course twenty years ago while visiting here and did not remember it well at all. So, when my brother in law suggested we play there, my friends and I were very favorably impressed with the low cost, minimal crowd, and uniqueness of many of the holes at LinRick. Fairways and greens were in good condition. The Pro Shop was old and worn, but really, who cares about that ? It's really about the golfing experience and we all came away with smiles and the feeling we'd all love to play there again when we are visiting this area.

This is a good track, one of the better ones in the area, the people that work here are great Can't beat the rates. The Greens were in great shape this past week. I will be back many times. Seinor rate is $26 awesome sauce.

Long course but great layout. This is a Richland County owned course, I believe. It can sometimes be pricey for what you get, but it's a generous course for the most part. Some spots can be narrow or blind to hit into, while others are very open and forgiving. Definitely keeps it interesting.

Went on as a single, great staff had joined me with a nice twosome. Challanging track, elevation changes, you will use most if the clubs in your bag, greens are good you can hit to them & they hold, but a little slow(into the grain). Had great time, scenic course, excellent value, I will return, Thanks.

A great public track in SC for the money. Ronnie in the golf shop could not be nicer. Played terrible but had a blast. They are always accommodating to big groups. Will definitely be back soon.

I enjoyed playing here. The greens were slower than what I'm used to but they were pretty true. I particularly enjoyed holes 3, 9, 14, 16, 17, and 18. Fun course and challenging. Will play again

Course looks good. I was concerned about the mangy, sick coyote pup around #14 tee box. Staff seemed to know about it, saying they'd seen 2.

Good course layout and price. Don't expect any clubhouse frills, cause there are none. Course is managed by the County, so everything is minimum needs.

Linrick is in great condition and has been the last time I played it. It's a very challenging course where you really have to weigh risk and reward. The greens were in great shape as were the fairways. An excellent value.

Very nice layout and good conditions. Greens were nice. We played after it rained all night so course was wet, but dried out nicely as the day went on.

The golf course are in good shape, but the older golfers playing in foursomes refuses to let a twosomes play through. The pro shop does not seem to care. A 4 hours round can turn out to be 4 and 1/2 to 5 hours long.

Difficult course, but very good condition. I do not recommend walking the back nine unless you are young and in very good shape. The membership cost is very good. There needs to be bathroom facilities on the course of which there are none.

This course has got it right! They put their money into the grass and bunker maintenance and not the clubhouse or 2 immaculate bathrooms and no sand in the bunkers. Great conditions and a serious challenge!
