Wedding Church Flowers We had to use Moates Florist for the flowers at the church for my daughter's wedding in July. In the end, the flowers turned out beautiful but the path to get there was very bumpy hence the 4 star rating. We initally reached out to Moats almost a year before the wedding. The intial employee we worked with was disengaged and had her own agenda. That employee is no longer with Moats. Once the owner became more involved, communication improved but I still found them very slow to respond, return calls and emails. Each time I called there was either a holiday or a funeral that was taking place and they would call me in a few days/weeks etc. It was very important to me to understand what I was getting for the price point I was willing to spend. As a non-flower person, the names of flowers, what season they are in, etc means zero. So it was hard to have a conversation of what flowers I wanted when they already had the inspiration pictures and I needed them to tell me what worked with the pictures we provided. Finally, the end of May (6 weeks or so before the wedding) I was able to get pictures of a wedding they had done in the price point I wanted. We switched out colors and it was smooth sailing from there. The flowers they did provide were beautiful and we were very happy. Moats had been around for a long time and is well respected in the industry. It appears what ever internal issues they may have had were resolved which is wonderful for them.

Decided to stop in because I felt like getting flowers for my partner and didn’t want to go to a grocery chain to pick up something pre-arranged. Moates Florist was super helpful. Worked with my budget, tied in the colors I wanted, and let me know about their order-ahead service! On the positive the service was fast and friendly. I placed my order for my bridal bouquet Friday and picked up Saturday. I paid just under $50. The bouquet looked a little thrown together. The greens overpowered the flowers. I asked for simple but I feel like I got something anyone could have thrown together. I was hoping for a little more care and attention to detail. My wedding may be small and not planned with weeks or months to spare but it's a special day for me and I had hoped for a bouquet that reflects simple but elegant.

Absolute best florist shop in Tampa. Due to a personal conflict I came several minutes after closing time to pick up my order. LaJuanda not only allowed me to still come in and pick up my order. She also spent time to make further additions to my sympathy piece, making it that much more special. She also allowed me to take a sneak peak into the green room :) I highly recommend coming to this shop, they will be the only location I go to purchase flowers.

Moates is a top notch florist that provides second to none customer service. I forgot to order flowers for an upcoming funeral service being conducted the next day. I ordered a large peace lilly online and was ecstatic about the variety offered. I was even more happier to learn that Moates has products to meet budgets of all kinds. I would highly recommend this florist their customer service was amazing and they were very helpful at helping me find the right arrangement for the occasion. Even though I called past the time for same day delivery they were still able to work with me and get the flowers out same day. In addition, Susan is very skillful at wrapping, there are so many colors you can choose and she'll wrap it all up for you. Ordered a Birds of Paradise tropical arrangement to be delivered within a certain timeframe. Very pleasant to deal with. They didn’t have the flowers in stock but they called the supplier to pick them up and agreed to have the arrangement delivered on time. Not only were they early but it was the most beautiful arrangement I have ever seen for that price. I will definitely use them again.

I ordered flowers for my daughter who was in the hospital. To our surprise, they released her early. I was in a panick and called Moates immediately so find out what could be done. They were just putting the order on the delivery vehicle and said they would rush it over. It arrived before she was discharged. The “Bee Well” bouquet was absolutely amazing!! By 4:30, the staff at Moates had tracked down patient's first name (which I did not have) as well as the room number, and DELIVERED the perfect arrangement. I live away from my family in Tampa and every time I have order from Moates the service has been 5 starts , My mom has a hearing problem so the delivery driver call me because no one was answering the door, when I explain to him the situation, he didn't complained he stayed until my mom heard the door bell with only great attitude, Today I had the pleasure to speak with the owner of the store, Now I understand why is such a great business, thank you, Thank you Thank you :) I have order from them in the past 3 yrs and never let me down even last minute delivery they really tried to make it happen !

High priced,for what little they had. Most the time no one is there. And was told they only like doing funeral arrangements more than the other stuff. They did have a clean store,building and parking lot. They are just in the wrong location with the high end business they want to do. Also very short,one way conversation, made me feel like I was bothering them from face chatting and hanging out ( if they were working I could see it ,but not just hanging out gossiping). I won't never go back,but I would tell some associates that are wealthy about them and say only use if last resort or an emergency.
