Herb and his team are great—incredibly flexible and easy to work with! We ended up postponing our wedding celebration twice due to COVID and Herb was gracious enough to allow us to roll everything over both times. Not to mention he basically read my mind and came up with a gorgeous bouquet and elegant floral arrangements with very little direction. Everything turned out beautifully! Herb's team also arrived to the venue early to set up the fountain so we could take family photos before the reception. Having that amazing backdrop in place early was wonderful and so appreciated. We loved working with Herb!

Herbivore Floral Designs was absolutely amazing from our initial emails and phone calls all the way through until the wedding day! Herb understood our vision very clearly and the end result was even more beautiful than we could have imagined. From getting the color scheme ratio perfectly right, making the most beautiful arch for our cake back drop, having a personalized bridal bouquet drop off and picture, and the last minute standing flower tower over our head table, Herb and his team were the most flexible and friendly group I could’ve asked for. We could not recommend them enough for any event you may need florals and greenery for!

We had a wonderful experience with Herbivore- our flowers were gorgeous, Herb’s style is amazing and unique, and he’s a pleasure to work with. Our wedding was originally scheduled for March of 2020, and we had to cancel our celebration at the last minute. Herb was great about it, he rolled with the punches and stuck with us as we went through the experience of postponing twice. When we finally got to have our party, we asked Herb to add some fun and funkiness to our original more classic floral vision, and man, did he deliver! His style and aesthetic are flawless, and the arrangements were beautiful. He’s also fun to work with, and he helped us stick to a budget too.

Hands down one of the best vendors for our whole wedding. Flowers were the most important thing for me at our wedding and so I was very picky with choosing a vendor. Needless to say Herbivore blew my expectations out of the water!! We had several revisions to the original proposal and Brent was always very attentive to the details I wanted and timely with his responses. He also took into account our budget and helped work things in different ways so I could still have all my flower dreams come true. Couldn’t not recommend them enough!

Herb and his team are INCREDIBLE! I am a wedding planner and I have been blown away by their floral designs. The team is super easy to work with and very responsive. Herb even threw in a few extra orchids (bride’s favorite) as a surprise for the bride, which I thought was really thoughtful and special. Guests were complimenting the floral arrangements all night! From our first call with Herbivore, I knew Herb and his team were the ones I needed for our wedding florals. He is incredibly knowledgeable and professional and delivered stunning florals for our wedding day. He worked within our budget, listened to ideas and executed. Bouquet drop-offs went perfectly (including the fun photo-op!) and set-up/tear-down also went smoothly. Also, so thoughtful with including a mini bouquet for details shots. Herb transformed our venue while also keeping the romantic/classic vibe I envisioned. I'm still dreaming about our ceremony arch and the romance of all the candles. His team is so FUN and makes the process enjoyable. I can't say thank you enough!

We are still over the moon about our florals from Herbivore. Herb and his team were one of the first vendors we booked once we had our date because we never had any doubt that they would be able to nail our vision. They were incredibly helpful when we had to reschedule our wedding due to covid, and even helped us cut down on costs by recommending we repurpose flowers from the ceremony to the reception space! They made our ceremony, reception, bouquets, and cake florals beyond anything we could have imagined and we are still getting compliments on them!

My wedding reception had a tropical flare to it and after seeing some of Herbivore's past work, I knew they would be the right florist for the job! My initial inquiry was in January 2020. Herbivore worked with my budget and even helped me add some other floral items that I would've never thought of! It was also great that they offered votive decorations as well. Of course after going under contract, Covid happened and we ended up doing a smaller ceremony in 2021 with the big hurrah in 2022. Herbivore was very easy to work with during the shuffle around that I ensured that they did the florals for both ceremonies. On the day of the "big hurrah" the Herbivore team stayed in constant contact and even personally delivered the bouquets to my bridal suite. Everyone loved all the colors. 10/10 I would recommend!

After an initial 30 minute phone call he sent over a mood board that captured my exact vision and then delivered the most gorgeous florals for both events. While planning my wedding, I had a half-baked vision of my style: organic, natural greenery, anemone flowers, blues and whites. And, if possible, I really wanted to incorporate oyster shells from my Maryland hometown into my bouquet. The Herbivore team was creative, ingenious, and flawless in the execution of my vision. There were oyster shells splashed throughout my bouquet as if they were flowers! Felt natural and organic, just like the rest of our florals. The bouquets, the boutonnieres, the ceremony altar, the centerpieces, everything felt like us. God Bless Herb and the Herbivore Team! These kind, talented humans had to put up with me and my mother for a solid year and a half. Working with Herb was one of the most fun experiences with wedding planning because my floral was most of my decorative design. The aesthetic we had developed for our wedding was very colorful and eccentric. Think large painted palms and baby's breath floral clouds. Herb worked with me until the very last minute to make sure my vision came to life. I even cried when I saw my bouquet for the first time. His team did an incredible job and I'm so thrilled I got to know him through this process. If I am ever in need of florals again for an event in Nola, he is the person I will call!

Edit: We had our Halloween wedding in 2021 and it was stellar, in large part thanks to Herb and his team! The florals were totally gorgeous, especially my bouquet - so many compliments! Herbivore perfectly integrated spooky vibes to our Halloween wedding - for ex, he integrated Spanish moss into some of the florals and used test tubes and skulls for the arrangements. Totally beautiful, completely perfect! His team is a joy to work with, and I was honestly so excited to see him when he dropped off my bouquet at the hotel. He also worked really well with our other vendors (Luminous and Latrobes). 10000% recommend Herbivore! Full disclosure: Our wedding hasn't happened yet! Covid has made us reschedule our wedding from this year to 2021, and Herb has been a dream to work with during this crazy time. It was a bummer to have to postpone our wedding, but at the end of the pandemic, we're all going to need a reason to party HARD! So what else can you do, other than postpone your wedding to Halloween 2021 and plan an epic reception that involves costumes, Halloween decor, and an afterparty in the streets of the Quarter?! I don’t know where to start at expressing how incredible Herb and his team was. I don’t know how they pulled it off with Covid, hurricane, and a flower shortage but they somehow made it look even more beautiful than my inspiration pictures! And beyond what I expected. I had every color on my dream board and Herb made it happen! It’s been a few months and everyone is still talking about how incredible, unique, magical, and gorgeous our wedding flowers were! Friends and family have even taken screenshots to their florists to keep recreating the magic that Herb and his team made to have it in their own home to make their week brighter. He was a pleasure to work with and was EXTREMELY responsive to all of our emails, usually responding within minutes. Jennifer was such a treat to work with! This was my first rodeo, planning everything from FL and navigating all the florists in New Orleans was such a process and very overwhelming! I knew Herbivore was the ONE when the communication flowed effortlessly and the team accepted my many photos and changes without batting an eye. Our flowers were fresh and perfectly placed at the St Louis Cathedral and Marche. We had one long table of probably 50 guests between all our round tables and Herbivore did a beautiful job creating a showstopping garland that was just perfect and caught everyone's eye without taking up too much space on the table.

The Herbivore Team was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! When I started looking at vendors for my wedding I was completely overwhelmed with the options. Flowers were important to me but I knew that they could also eat up a budget! My wedding planner suggested Herbivore and after reviewing their Instagram feed and other reviews, I knew I at least needed to reach out and see what they can do for me. I met with Herb and he was AMAZING! He listened to what I wanted and made suggestions to keep me in budget. My mother had some... interesting ideas... on what she wanted for my flowers and Herb worked with her so well! By the end of it, I had the most beautiful wedding flowers and it was everything I wanted. My mother insisted that I have the largest wedding bouquet ever made and Herbivore delivered. It was STUNNING and I received compliments all night! Still to this day I receive "oohs" and "aahhs" when I show people pictures of my wedding day! The first thing anyone says when they see pictures of me in my wedding dress is "OMG THAT BOUQUET IS INCREDIBLE!". And, I was within budget!!! BEST. FLORIST. EVER! Seriously cannot sing enough praises for Herb and his team. When I started wedding planning, so many people told me to decide which three components meant the most to me and then allocate the appropriate amount of my budget toward those. Flowers were easily at the top of my list (followed closely by bar and band). So many people recommended Herbivore, and I was sold after the very first meeting. Herb instantly understood what I wanted and what I envisioned. I knew I wanted A LOT of flowers and made sure to budget accordingly. When we got the proposal, I was floored. Not only did it include every single thing I wanted and so much more that perfectly fit my aesthetic, it was considerably under what I had budgeted. Fast forward to our wedding, and it was nothing short of a dream. Herb's team worked absolute MAGIC. It completely took my breath away. I have had so many soon-to-be brides asked me who did my flowers, and they are genuinely shocked when I tell them what we ended up spending. Most of them assume it was at least three or four times that amount, and this is truly a testament to Herb and his team making sure that every bride, no matter their budget, gets exactly what they want. The Herbivore Floral design team is incredible. They came highly recommended from my wedding planner, and from the moment that I first spoke with Jennifer I knew they were going to nail my vision. The flowers the had at the venue were absolutely stunning and the team was so easy to work with. Two of the things that I loved most about working with this team was that they spent a lot of time asking specific questions about what I was looking for before we even agreed to work together, and then they sent over a very detailed proposal with photos that helped me feel confident they would nail it. Other vendors just sent over pricing. The team was also great about understanding the flow of the day and helping think through how to repurpose flowers from one part of the day to the next so that we could could get the most bang for our buck. I now realize the power of a perfect arrangement… When I saw my daughter’s bouquet, I saw my baby. Herbivore created a masterpiece incorporating oyster shells from a creek near our home off of the Chesapeake Bay. It was important to us that a piece of “home” ever-so-elegantly was woven into the fabric of this NOLA wedding. Herb, his husband and his team have the gift of understanding a vision and bringing it to life. Every floral arrangement was art that reflected my daughter’s dream of tying coastal beauty to industrial chic. The vibe flowed from an outdoor ceremony under the oaks to a cocktail hour in front of a fountain into an indoor reception space. It doesn’t hurt that Herb (still on site as we arrived to the venue) noticed our dresses and sent us in feeling like beauties. Initially I came to him with vague ideas and themes that I knew I wanted, and he helped me fully actualize and create the perfect scheme for the evening. He was kind, joyful, and very knowledgeable, and made the entire process feel stress-free and easy. Herb and his team are EVERYTHING. Herb made a last minute bouquet for me when my husband and I had our "COVID" ceremony in November of 2020, and it was one of the few things I had at the time that made me feel like a real bride. Then a year later in November of 2021, we had our dream "big" wedding (only 60 people) and Herbivore designed our florals. Everything from my bouquet to our ceremony arch to the arrangements on the dinner tables was perfection. Seriously – he prepared bouquets and boutonnieres for a bridal party of 24, flowers and décor for two venues, there were no hiccups, AND everything looked and smelled like we were part of a real-life fairy tale fit for a magazine. Not only is Herb incredibly talented, he’s also such a pleasure to work with. He met with us and enthusiastically answered all our questions and offered recommendations to limit our costs. He also graciously delt with us throwing him last minute curveballs – a change in the delivery location the day before the wedding, and an adjustment to our quote/scope a week before the wedding so we could throw petals at the ceremony, and I could add flowers to my hair. You can tell that he truly cares about his work and his clients; he’s responsive, supportive, professional, energetic, and positive. Not once did I have a disappointing moment working with him. Wow, Herb and his team were phenomenal to work with!! When I first met with Herb, I had a very loose idea of my floral setup. After talking with him for a matter of minutes, he was able to put together a vision board that was PERFECT! He is also a wealth of wedding vendor knowledge, and gave me wonderful suggestions for cake vendors and bands during our intro meeting. Fast forward many months, and we had to make a last minute venue change due to COVID. Herb was extremely understanding and accommodating when we needed to pivot to a completely different setup. From the onset, Herb was exactly what I wanted in a wedding florist. Everyone always says “it’s whatever you want” to the bride but what I wanted was an experienced vendor who knew how to make decisions and give direction. Brides have enough decisions to make - I really just wanted someone to take charge and give me confidence that I can let this huge task go. Herb is all of those things and more. He expertly fielded my questions with specific definitive responses (no wishy washy answers), he provided solid advice on style and color without being overbearing, and he really allowed me to have faith and trust that he will create a beautiful wedding, and he delivered. I loved all of it, and got lots of compliments from guests. I also love how he worked well with my venue (Latrobe’s) and lighting vendor (Luminous) - I think it’s great how the wedding industry works together and develops their own rhythm. One of my favorite moments from my wedding night is exiting the ceremony onto the street and Herb was right there waiting to enter to flip the ceremony space! It was so great to see him and he greeted me so warmly. I didn’t know he’d be there himself that night and I was very honored :). He worked behind the scenes and all of the decor was gorgeous. He even worked with me after the wedding to keep the flowers and that was so nice. I’d recommend him to anyone and for any event.

Among a literal sea of New Orleans wedding vendors, it can be hard to figure out which businesses are best to work when you're not a local. Herb's shop is one of those special few! He's been doing floral design there for years and knows so many other people in the local industry, so in addition to AMAZING flowers you also gain the benefit of helpful, honest advice while navigating a destination wedding. His proposal for our wedding is spot-on the vision I had, and we worked together to finesse it to perfection over just a few drafts (and had a lot fun doing it!). The effort he's put into the collaboration process is even more appreciated since my wedding isn't until Oct 2022 and he's been working diligently with other couples that are currently rescheduling due to COVID. His communication is always timely and genuine, never making me feel like I was just one of the many people that he talks to everyday. Where do i begin? If there were an option for 6 stars I would select it because I have so many excellent things to say about Herb and his team. In addition to doing florals for my wedding, Herb and his team also did the florals for my rehearsal dinner. From the very beginning Herb was all about my vision. He was able to use his talent and creativity to bring out exactly what I was looking for. I never could have imagined the perfection of what he created. I had somewhat of a short engagement and was only able to meet with Herb two or three times but it was all we needed because he kept me updated and emailed me ideas that I could choose from. He kept me in the loop with everything he was doing and made sure I was more than satisfied with his designs. I had a few special requests for my bouquet and wanted to include some family heirloom items and Herb went out of his way to meet me in person and collect those from me before my wedding. When we walked into our wedding reception we were amazed at how beautiful it was. Herb was able to capture that romantic/intimate/vintage vibe that I so desired. I highly recommend Herbivore for all brides. Whether you have a clear vision or you need some guidance, he will be there to help you and guide you and make all your dreams come true. The team over at Herbivore did an amazing job for us and really helped our wedding look beautiful. During a COVID wedding, they were very accommodating of the multiple changes in plans that occurred as we significantly reduced the size of our wedding over the year. They communicated with us well and the big day went off without any issue. Even better, the arrangements were beautiful and were a big hit in the photos that were taken. Herb and his team are the absolute best! When I was searching for a florist, Herb went above and beyond what he needed to do by coordinating a visit to our wedding and rehearsal sites so his first mockup was exactly what we needed. I didn't have an elaborate vision for florals and I didn't allocate a lot of our budget for flowers, so Herb was great about creating my vision (and more!) while staying in our budget. Herb was also probably the kindest and most fun vendor we dealt with which means SO much when wedding planning!

Most definitely loved Herb from the initial consultation to now! We were on a tight budget and made changes but Herb remained patient and executed our vision perfectly. All of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and arrangements were absolutely beautiful and definitely enhanced our venue! As I mentioned earlier, we were on a tight budget so he assisted with the decision of purchasing budget friendly candle décor ourselves. On the day of, he worked with our coordinator to find proper placement for the candles in addition to the floral arrangements! Herb and his assistant even went out of the way to by taking their time to lay our aisle runner. Herb also stuck around after our ceremony to reutilize/rearrange our flowers and bouquets to decorate our reception which further helped our budget! The following day, we noticed how beautiful/fresh the flowers still were and refused to throw them away. So we decided to go pass them out to some seniors and they loved them. We may have kept a few for ourselves… (: I'd like to add that before we both walked the aisles, he noticed our nervousness and provided a pep talk to help keep us calm! Best florist ever, we definitely recommend!

Herbivore Floral Deisgns did a phenomenal job on our wedding! Wow!!! The outdoor courtyard transformed into this magical place filled with fresh flowers, greenery and floating candles everywhere! It was stunning!!!! They also decorated our wedding cake and it brought me to tears when I first saw it. I would highly recommend Herb and his team to anyone and everyone!!!!

I highly recommend this florist. If you have no idea what you want, you know exactly, or you fall somewhere in between, Herb is perfection. He is a true artist of his craft who pours his love for what he does into every project. He couldn't have made it a better experience than he did. I had absolutely no idea of what I wanted other than "pretty". He met with my family and I and our decor/lighting vendor (Luminous Events) to get a cohesive idea. Talking with Herb was as comfortable as if he had been a friend of mine rather than someone trying to secure my business. He is so personable, caring, and genuine. He took the time to go through picture after picture, tons of Pinterest boards, and a few meetings to help me figure out what I wanted when I no clue. He made flower and greenery recommendations based on what appealed to me visually. After all of that, I still ended up changing my original ideas, but that just made him work even harder to figure out my tastes. (I'm still not quite sure how he did it since I still couldn't even say what they are!) With something as special as your wedding, it's hard to have that blind trust in anything pertaining to it, but out of all of the decisions I had to make, Herb was the one I trusted in the most and he completely delivered. Everything came out as breathtakingly gorgeous as possible from my fabulous peacock feather infused bouquet to the arrangements to the fairytale forest ceiling he created over the dance floor. It was everything and more than what I even knew I wanted. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful it all turned out.
