This band was everything and more than we could ask for from our wedding band! From the start the band was quick to respond to our inquiry, booked with us despite the late notice (it was our 3rd wedding date thanks to Covid-19 and we planned it all in 3 months), and very helpful with all the planning and prep beforehand. They were so flexible and I loved that we could choose how many band members we wanted to hire! My head was spinning with all the details and planning, but Kelly, our main contact, made sure we stayed on track and were ready to go on Wedding Day! On the day, the music and energy was superb! The dance floor stayed packed! They accommodated all of our requests and even added some great suggestions that we utilized for moments we were unsure of what to pick. Not only were all our guests having a great time but from my perspective the band was too! We have some great candid shots of the band smiling and laughing along with us. They avoided all the specified music we requested that not be played and even took special requests from the guests, which was fun for everyone! This resulted in one of our favorite memories of the night - the band played "Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing and my husband played the role of Baby and his Groomsmen played Johnny. It was perfect and unscripted and will live on in our memories (and wedding pics/video!) forever! Truly, if you are into awesome live music, dancing, having a great time, and working with kind, honest, flexible, talented, and fun people - you've found your dream band with Emerald Empire Band. We are so so pleased to have found and hired Emerald Empire Band for our Wedding Day - thank you all for making our reception one to remember!

Emerald Empire Band was one of the best vendor decisions we made throughout our whole wedding. Their high energy performance had everyone on the dance floor the entire night (even my grandparents!), and, even two months after the Big Day, I have guests reaching out to tell me that this was the best wedding band they have ever heard. They curated an amazing set list - from the live dinner music that made us feel like we were in a Nancy Meyers movie, to the high energy dance floor hits, and ending the night with our special request - "All I Want for Christmas Is You" - Emerald Empire Band truly did not miss a single beat. And, as one of our guests said, "You haven't lived until you've danced to Mr. Brightside played by a brass band!" In addition to booking the 11-piece band, we also used Emerald Empire Band for a string trio for our ceremony and jazz trio for cocktail hour, in addition to MC services and amplification. Kelley was so wonderful to work with and took every detail and small request to heart, seeing it all through. I cannot recommend Emerald Empire Band enough - and, I hope my engaged friends are reading this so I get to attend a wedding they are playing at soon!

Words cannot describe how AMAZING Emerald Empire Band was on our wedding day. From day one being in contact with Mike we felt very confident that they would be a perfect fit for us and our special day. The band performed all of our suggested songs and did a wonderful job MCing the whole reception. The energy the band members had was contagious and kept the dance floor packed the entire night! The way they interacted with our guests was so inviting, so much so one of our friends took a turn on the mic! Overall I cannot recommend Emerald Empire Band enough! Hire this band immediately!!! Emerald Empire played at our wedding in May 2022 in Asheville, NC. A great band has always been one of my top "must haves" for my wedding, and this band completely blew us away! We chose a more intimate guest list size but the dance floor was hoppin' all night. From the start, our producer (Derrick) was very attentive and put together musicians that matched our style and met all of our needs. I loved that I could customize the band size and instruments, etc. and they were happy to accommodate some specific requests, like being introduced second-line style by the horn section and specific songs for first dance, last dance, etc. On that note--if you have chosen to go with a band rather than a DJ, make up your mind to trust the band. You won't be able to give them a list of 30-40 specific songs to play, and if that's important to you, then hire a DJ. But a good band (and this is a GREAT one) will honor the list of styles you provide, and will also read the crowd, playing songs you didn't even know you wanted but get everyone dancing.

If you want incredible music and a full dance floor all night, emerald empire band is the right decision. Our producer, Derrick, was so helpful through the planning process. EEB handled our ceremony playlist and emceed our reception in addition to their awesome performance. Tracy is such a talented singer! They were extremely easy to work with in the planning stages and they utilize a dashboard to make communication that much easier. You can easily document the flow of your show, which genre of songs you want (& don't want!) and an array of other detailed information to make sure your event is flawless. Super talented group & can't wait to work with them again.

Emerald Empire is an unbelievable service and did an amazing job with our whole ceremony and reception. Their process is extremely organized and they make sure they have every detail covered for you. Justin was our contact and he was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. For the money, there is nothing that will add more to your wedding than having their live music at your ceremony. We had them perform MC service at our outdoor ceremony, play a jazz trio during our cocktail hour, and had a five piece band play our reception. I would recommend anyone looking to make their reception or event special to strongly consider EE.

Emerald Empire Band was truly incredible!! Our guests were on the dance floor all night! We have since had countless guests tell us how amazing our wedding band was! We had an absolute blast at our wedding with a lot of that being thanks to them! We were rocking out on the shoulders of our friends at one point. It was awesome. The band was engaging with the crowd, flexible when we had a guest we wanted to sing a special song, super fun, very talented and friendly! Derrick was extremely helpful in the planning stages and was very quick to respond, professional and had great helpful hints and reading material to guide me through the booking and planning process. They are so organized! My wedding planner strongly discouraged us from having a band because she has had some bad experiences with bands only playing the type of music they wanted and not taking into consideration the music that the couple wanted to hear and being hard to work with in general. But I am SO GRATEFUL that this advice did not scare me away from hiring Emerald Empire. They did a great job of making our wedding music dreams come true and couldn't have been any easier to work with! The venue manager at our venue was thrilled when I told her we were having EEB performing because she said they were one of the best bands she has ever worked with and a lot of fun too!! They have a portal where you update your wedding information, and Emerald Empire receives those updates in real time. We had a thorough call about 3 weeks before the wedding to talk about what songs we were requesting for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We had an 8-piece band and WOWZA their sound was incredible. I loved the horns section, and the energy they brought to the event. Live music in Nashville is a *MUST,* and you will not be disappointed with Emerald Empire.

The coordinator Emmanuel was incredibly responsive, professional, and helpful with organizing everything days/weeks leading up to the event, so I felt secure on my wedding day. Emerald Empire played at our wedding in Pawley's Island June 2022. We booked them because I had seen them play at a friends wedding a couple of years earlier. They were amazing and we could not have asked for a better music experience! They learned our first dance song and did an outstanding job choosing songs throughout the night. We used them for the ceremony and reception. They have an online planning page that is easy and great to use to plan/communicate with the band before the big day. Many of our guests throughout the night commented how great the band sounded. They definitely set a great vibe for the night! Ward was also great to work with.

We had them provide a single acoustic sax during the welcome, processional music and mics, a jazz trio for cocktail hour and a 10-person full band for the reception. Kelly was an amazing partner from the start and made the whole process super easy. This band really held themselves up to their reputation as the No. 1 wedding band in the greater ATL area. They offer many different packages that can suit to your needs. We decided to get full 7-piece band, multiple PA’s with microphones for speeches/vows, cocktail hour music, and reception walkout songs. We did not have to worry about one thing the entire day with Emerald Empire Band. Not only was the music the perfect amount of funk & soul, but they had an incredible stage presence as well. Once they all got on that stage, they saw no reason to have any music played through the speakers that wasn’t them playing. Saying that, they offered to learn our first dance song, mother/son dance, and mother/daughter dance songs and delivered them perfectly. I really hope we get invited to another wedding this band is playing at as they are just simply that good.

I can not compliment this band enough! We hired them for our wedding and because it was so affordable went for the full 7 piece and we have zero regrets. The band managed to make me feel as though I was at a concert but somehow still managed to keep me and my groom the center of attention! We were very happy with the entertainment provided at our wedding by The Emerald Empire Band! What especially impressed me was their song selection. They had unique song selections that you don't hear at every wedding, while keeping the music upbeat and wedding appropriate. They had our specific requests prepared for the first dance, father/bride dance, and mother/groom dance. They were accommodating to our schedule of events for the day, and they also kept the volume at a reasonable level. So both dancing and conversations could be enjoyed by our guests the entire evening. From the beginning, Rob was very easy to communicate with, and he offered a very organized form for us to fill out with the details of the evening, to keep everything running smoothly. From the start, Emmanuel was so incredibly helpful, kind, and just overall excited about his job, which made me excited as well! We used them for both the ceremony and reception and could not have been happier. They play acoustic guitar and keys of all during the ceremony and it made for such a romantic vibe. Them playing an acoustic version of Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles when we walked out almost made me cry it was played so well. During the reception they were the life of the party and went way longer stretches without a break than I ever expected. 10/10 would recommend.

Excellent band, horrendously bad photography services. We used Emerald Empire for our wedding. We knew we wanted to use their band; we were pitched and sold on their photography package as well. The band was truly inspired, and we heard from many guests this was the best wedding band they've ever heard. We agree. Billy Thornton as a band leader was superb and we recommend the band with zero reservations. On the other hand, we are appalled at how unprofessional, and just plain bad, their photography services were. At the wedding, the photographer added no value in terms of framing or posing anyone, including during the wedding party portraits. He had to be told to use his flash. He brought minimal equipment (one camera and flash; no external lighting or ladders or the like). We required everyone to be vaccinated; the photographer was not only unvaccinated, he had to be asked several times to place his mask over his mouth and nose. Then we waited for our photos, for nearly 7 weeks, and were told they were being "processed." Allegedly some manner of professional make-over/lighting/coloring was being done. Then we got the photos. Hoo. They are terribly lit, with weird shadows on the posed photos and a strange blanching of people on the left side of the posed photos (the photographer used a single flash and it was a rainy day, making the blanching unaccountable). They are badly composed. There are swaths of guests entirely missing. And best yet, there are dozens of photos with long-exposure light streaks, totally ruining them. There are fewer than a half-dozen "keepers" out of over 500 photos. Our guests, using iPhones, took better photos. After several hearty complaints, we received a partial refund, but the photos are unfixable and the opportunity to have quality photos for a one-time, critical life event is lost. Save yourself the heartache and go with someone else for your photography.

We are so thankful we chose Emerald Empire Band! they were so organized and accomodating from the pre-planning all the way to the day of! We loved the options they gave us for the band size because we originally choose to only have a 5-piece band, but we later decided we wanted to go bigger to a 7-piece and they easily made that happen! It was easily the best decision we made because the horns added such a great atmosphere! The band as a whole was AMAZING, they got everyone on the dance floor the whole night, played a few of our favorite songs that aren't your "typical" wedding music, and just truly made our reception the party we wanted! We loved the five piece band for our wedding. We also had a pianist for the ceremony and a jazz trio for cocktail hour. Our guests would not get off the dance floor and the band was fantastic! Working with Chris pre-wedding was easy and he went above and beyond to answer my questions, offer suggestions and more. I asked for specific songs played based on the crowd mood (type A) and they accommodated - I do recommend giving them the reigns more than I did (haha) as they know what they are doing! We went to a showcase and loved one singer, Nelani, and requested her. They selected the rest of the band who were awesome!!! They even learned to play a few songs for us. The MC was also great, we gave him super specific direction and he was not cheesy nor did he make random awkward comments or jokes (as I find most MCs do haha). My only suggestion is to make sure they coordinate with the planner or check in throughout as our timeline shifted and this was not communicated to the MC (this was the planners fault). My budget was respected and they strived to achieve exactly what I wanted! I did extensive research on bands, and the booking and planning process was by far the best, in addition to the reasonable cost and excellent performance. This weekend marks the first anniversary of my daughter’s wedding and it brings back lots of great memories, not the least of which was the performance by Emerald Empire Band. They were absolutely fabulous! I’d give them 7 stars (two extra) but Google won’t let me. They were easy to work with during the booking phase and very cooperative with all the Covid 19 issues and concerns last year. The musicians were incredibly talented and played like they’d grown up together. The sound was so tight! The playlist spot on! Our band consisted of seven pieces (drums, bass, guitar, keyboard, sax, trumpet, lead singer) with a magical eighth (second singer) showing up unannounced. My wife and I received many compliments about the wedding but none more so than those associated with the music. EEB made the whole event a smashing success! Great job! Great talent! Great party! Thanks EEB!!!! PS: I thought the price was very reasonable, too.

They were INCREDIBLE for our wedding! We got the 7 piece band and it was perfect. We were pretty specific about what we wanted them to play (and not to play) and they delivered just that. We asked for a mix of 2000s/90s throwbacks, current pop, and classics, and that’s exactly what we got. We first saw the band in 2020 at a friends wedding near Nashville. We were so blown away by how great they were that when my daughter got engaged she and her fiancée booked the band for their wedding. The band went out of their way and drove from TN to a suburb outside of Chicago to perform at the wedding on 6/4/22. The owner of the venue said they were great, the wedding guests said it was one of the best weddings and bands they’d ever seen. Not to mention all the band members are really nice people. Emerald Empire provided excellent entertainment at daughter's wedding reception last Friday in Raleigh. The music for the reception was a big deal for us. The groom is a musician and many of the guests are in the music business and/or musicians themselves, and our family's favorite part2 of any wedding reception that we attend is the music and the dancing. So needless to say, we had high expectations. And Emerald Empire was not only able to meet them, but in fact beat them! The song selection was just what we wanted, and our guests literally never stopped dancing once they got started. The groom was very excited ahead of time about the horn section, and the band did not disappoint. Every member of the band displayed their immense talents, all were amazing musicians and did a great job establishing rapport with the crowd! Our guests could not stop talking about how great the band was! The cherry on top was learning and playing Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" to wrap up the night - the groom's family favorite. That essentially brought the house down! And the remaining guests beamed for hours as we took the party to a nearby bar, giving nothing but praise for Emerald Empire! In addition, Richard's professional and organized approach to the planning, responsive communication and easy demeanor throughout the process was truly appreciated by all of us and contributed greatly to the success of the event. The dance floor stayed packed for the entire reception; there was never a break in dancing because every song they played was better than the last. To customize our reception music, Emerald Empire requested that we complete a questionnaire detailing our favorite music artists and genres. I was so impressed that the band made sure to hit on all our favorite artists—including some newly released songs that were likely learned just prior to the reception. Not only can they play most songs at top quality, but they are great at feeling the vibe and playing the appropriate songs at the correct time. Additionally, making great calls for unexpected events - my Dad was not feeling well so during the father daughter dance and it was like they knew what was going through my head when they shortened the song for us in a way that was not noticeable. All and all they are great at picking up vibes and adjust accordingly. In addition to being easy to work with. The ceremony music was beautiful and the moment the band played the first note at the reception, the dance floor was packed. First off, it was very convenient to have a one stop shop for any of your music needs for your wedding. We ended up adding the string duet for the ceremony pretty close to the wedding. They were really mesmerizing to listen to, and helped set the tone for the ceremony. Then the band for the reception, I am still dancing to! We put a lot of trust in our band and they delivered, big time! We really kept a basic, tight schedule and our main request was keep people on the dance floor. In the begining, the floor was kind of empty, but I could see them cutting songs off and moving quickly. They finally played this Harry Styles song, which I definitely didn't request, and for some reason in clicked. For the rest of the night, they kept the floor packed. My only requested song, was Shout by the Isley Brothers. I remember wondering, "Where is the song?" But, they saved it for towards the end and it killed. I was too nervous at the ceremony to remember anything and was not at cocktail hour. But, everyone from the wedding said they did a great job with the classical and jazz stuff. They have a very structured plan when you hire them. You have a form to constantly update and fill out so everyone is on the same page. Then, as the date approaches, we worked with Kelly one on one over the phone to make sure everything was to our liking. He made it really easy on us. Then the day of, they handled everything. Our officiant didn't want a mic, so they had to make a quick change and they easily did. They had all the equipment and lighting, so everything was professional. The singers and musicians sounded awesome! I only wish I could have talked with them more and thanked them personally(crazy day!). We had an amazing evening and Emerald Empire Band was one of the main reasons.

All the musicians came onto the floor and the crowd absolutely loved it. The lead singer even came to the club with us after and danced the rest of the night away with us. But once it got to the reception, we were completely blown away! They were so professional and easy during the booking process, and I am in awe of the show they put on at our wedding. The band was very professional, timely, and everything they played sounded amazing. We enjoyed working with them and have no complaints about their professionalism or the quality of their music. We did dislike the amount of time between songs, which got awkward & during which many people left the dance floor, because they seemed a bit ill prepared and had to discuss which song was next. We also wished the band was better at reading the crowd & increasing the tempo of the music accordingly; in addition the music on the iPod that plays during the band's breaks is kind of weird, quiet elevator music so maybe be specific in what you want the band to play during their break.

I had seen them play at other weddings and thought they were awesome. Unfortunately at my wedding they were pretty sub par with an expensive price tag. They mostly played Blues and Rock which I specifically said I was not interested in. When I brought this up post wedding, I was told it was because I booked too small of a band (4-person). Obviously if it was a too small of a band to execute the music I wanted, they should have told me since I made an extensive customized profile of what I was looking for. The main singer wasn't engaging and the music in between was very quiet which cleared the dance floor. I had my entrance song and first dance songs on my phone but they were unable to use them because they didn't have an adapter which could have been planned for. Definitely didn't ruin my day or anything but was disappointed.

The band was fantastic. It started with the ceremony and Tyler hit it out of the park when Jennifer and I walked down the aisle to an acoustic guitar version of the Etta James song- At Last. The reception was a home run. Everyone- young and old were raving and ranting about the band. Even Jennifer's 89 year old grandmother is still talking about the band.The dance floor was packed most of the night. Don't hire this band if you even think you could possibly have an unexpected problem come up.My son hired Emerald Empire for their wedding Sept 9th at Wild Dunes Resort unfortunately because of Hurricane Irma the resort forced them to change the date to Friday the 8th or cancel the wedding when my son contacted Richard and explained the situation Richard could only provide a saxophone player for the second line and the worst DJ I have ever seen at an event Richard refuses to refund any money and my son paid him in full a week before the wedding because he wanted his bride to have the one thing she wanted a great party band to make the night unforgettable Well Richard said he couldn't find even a 3 piece band to play so when he says he has all these great musicians he can connect with don't believe him. When there's a problem all Richard will do is take the money and run
