10 out of 5 stars! My husband and I looked into hiring remix specifically Kipper about 6months out from our wedding day but unfortunately he was already booked so we went with another competitor. Which we learned the hard way was a HUGE mistake and now looking back fortunately our DJ quit on us a month before our wedding. Frantically I called our wedding planner she immediately put out a few request one being remix again since they were our original #1 pick. The owner Mitch was extremely responsive in trying to help us. As fate would have it Kipper was now available for our wedding day!! Kipper was the DJ for our wedding at Champion Hills on Saturday, May 14, 2022. There isn’t a single thing I would have had Kipper do differently for our celebration. All of our guests continue to provide rave reviews and tell us our wedding was the best they’ve ever been to, and we wish we could do it all over again. Kippper played a huge role in making our wedding the perfect celebration as the MC and by curating a playlist that kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night, including some of our older relatives that haven’t been on a dance floor in decades! It was clear from our first zoom call with Kipper that he has a passion for his craft. Throughout the entire process he was very professional and provided a lot of useful feedback on details we didn’t even consider. We didn’t have very many specifics regarding the reception music, so we just gave him some loose guidelines and a lot of flexibility. He blew away our expectations! He played some of the best music from the late 90’s through today. Throughout the entire evening we had guests coming up to tell us how awesome the music was and how much fun they were having. A lot of guests were even telling us a week after the wedding that they were still recovering because they couldn’t remember the last time they danced that much in a single night. If the party didn’t have to end at 11:00, I think everyone could have easily gone another hour or two. He read the crowd so well & crushed it!!

My wife and I had our wedding at Hawkesdene in October 2022 and DJ Kipper flawlessly executed the music and MCing from the ceremony all the way to our last dance. There aren't enough stars to leave here for DJ Kipper! He was delightful from the moment we first met to discuss our wedding and clearly put a ton of work into making our wedding everything we asked for and more. If you have the chance to book Kipper as your DJ, do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed!

I can not speak highly enough of Remix and our DJ, Ryan. Several of our wedding guest have told us it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding. Ryan kept the dance floor moving all night long. He was also incredible with the kids! My nephew is obsessed with DJ's and sound mixing. Ryan took the time to show him the sound board and mixing table. My nephew is still talking about how cool that night was. From beginning to end Remix was professional, easy to work with and so much fun!

Kipper was the DJ at our wedding and we could not have been happier with our entire experience. He was great at listening to what music we wanted and incorporating both the songs we love (a lot of which were not your typical wedding songs) and classic songs that our parents and rest of wedding party would know. He played it all in a way which flowed and kept everyone on the dance floor. It was honestly hard to leave the dance floor because we didn’t want to miss whatever song he played next! You can tell he really loves what he does and that is totally why he is so good at it. I would 100% recommend Kipper and the rest of the Remix team, you will not be disappointed!

Kipper was amazing, legendary! Our guests said it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to and the best photo booth they had ever used! They loved the digital feature vs the print out booths they had seen at other weddings. Kipper was so amazing, his transitions were flawless. I don’t think I left the dance floor once! It was so memorable and it was majorly because of how great his DJing was! I’m honestly sad we won’t get to hang with kipper as much as we have been. He’s so awesome and made our wedding a 12/10.

I highly recommend Remix Weddings for your wedding day!!! DJ Kipper was extremely professional and really took the time to get to know exactly what kind of music we were wanting. Can't say enough about Kipper and the team at Remix Weddings, extremely professional and really took the time to understand our wants. We had a large contingency of guests travelling from abroad, so really wanted to strike the right balance in pleasing all crowds while still ensuring it was the music that we liked. The short review: Work with Remix Weddings, they're the best of the best. Especially work with Craig Loveland -- he made our wedding absolutely amazing, and is not only an awesome DJ, but a great guy and friend. The long review: My wife and I were sold on Remix after our initial call with the owner, Mitch Fortune (yes, that's his real name). He's a great guy and is totally passionate about all things DJ, especially for weddings. We worked with Craig Loveland (C-Love) for our wedding at Highland Brewing Co in Asheville, and my wife and I have only the best things to say about him. We met with him a few months before the wedding, shared some beers, and had a great time just getting to know each other personally. Professionally, he set the bar very high for himself, yet STILL managed to exceed expectations. Craig worked closely with us every step of the way and with our month-of planner, tailoring the DJ experience to exactly what we wanted and then some. We've been to and heard stories of many weddings with DJs ranging from sub-par to mediocre, but Craig is head and shoulders above the rest. He's a truly talented DJ, and is, by all accounts, a good, warm-hearted guy and is someone worth knowing.

Mitch DJ'ed our Asheville wedding recently, and we would wholeheartedly recommend him and Remix Weddings to couples looking for a wedding DJ. He was a joy to work with as we planned our wedding long-distance: cheerful, professional, super friendly and helpful, and very responsive whenever questions arose. He made our entire planning process fun, easy, and stress-free. One of the things that mattered most to us was making sure our small wedding of 35 guests still had a great dance party, and Mitch made that happen. He played a great mix of Top 40 and older songs that got everyone out on the dance floor and was wonderful about taking specific requests to keep the dance party going. He was the perfect MC for our event: professional and fun, and made sure that everything at the reception ran smoothly. Mitch and his team at Remix Weddings are AMAZING! They were accommodating and responsive during the wedding planning process and truly transformed our reception space with the use of a projected monogram and uplighting. Mitch played music for every generation of wedding guests and perfectly read the crowd in terms of what to play next. Mitch responded to emails quickly and approached each request we had with an open mind and enthusiasm. The day of the wedding I had no stress regarding our reception music because Mitch had thoroughly walked me through each portion of our reception days before. Our search for someone to DJ our wedding began at a wedding convention in Asheville, in February of 2018. DJ Kipper was in attendance with Remix Weddings, and we were immediately drawn to his bubbly personality and professionalism. He and the other employees of Remix made it clear that they were not just "wedding DJs," they were real DJs who also DJ weddings. Kipper met us several times throughout the planning process to discuss our vision, and had us make some playlists on Spotify to give him an idea of our taste in music and what we were aiming for. On the wedding day, he provided music during the ceremony, a microphone for our reader, and music for our reception. The mix and flow of songs throughout the evening was brilliant. Our dance floor was busy the entire time! He played specific songs to bring different generations of guests onto the dance floor, and also read and responded to the crowd. My husband and I got married on 4/30/2022 at Hawkesdene in Andrews, NC. The venue coordinator recommended Remix Weddings, and in particular Craig, for our wedding. She was not wrong! From the start, Craig was extremely helpful when it came to planning the right amount of songs for our ceremony and the best music theme for our cocktail hour and reception. Every email we sent, Craig responded within minutes! Our final meeting with Craig prior to the wedding was a breeze and he made sure he had every single detail he needed to make sure our wedding day went off perfectly. He set up the sound for our outdoor ceremony and every guest said that they could hear us perfectly. I was worried that guests wouldn't dance at the reception but trust us, they all danced (some better than others)! Craig even took the time to listen to our Spotify playlists that we sent him so that he got to know our music tastes. We highly recommend Remix Weddings, and in particular Craig, if you are looking for a DJ. They are wonderful to work with and they make sure your party is full of fun and dancing!

I work for a large company and we used Remix Weddings for our annual holiday party. We worked with Mitch. He is great! His customer service was above and beyond from initial talks, to planning and eventually follow through. Our party was executed perfectly. Mitch was professional, on time and most importantly fun! He did trivia for our party and really provided a great atmosphere for our 120+ guests of all ages (from 3-70). One of the best parts of our event was the photo booth-- it allowed people to take pictures with fun filters and backgrounds, send them to themselves-- and then we got an archive of all of the photos back after our party-- it was wonderful! We are so stinking lucky to have been paired with DJ Kipper on our wedding day. From the moment we talked to him, we knew he was going to be a great fit for us. Kipper is the best listener, and has a way of making sure every single request is met! He had some really great recommendations and suggestions that we incorporated into our wedding, and they flowed perfectly! He has a serious talent when it comes to customizing his services to your day! Kipper was so flexible to the timeline, and was able to keep the night flowing from one moment to the next. He did an amazing job flexing between music genres (we love country, but put together a list of songs from many different genres - and he made it work perfectly!) He has so much energy, and truly knows how to host an event! Before the big day, we had the chance to meet with Kipper - where he provided a handful of options for the important songs (ceremony songs, grand entrance, first dances, etc) to allow us to select the ones we like best. He also was able to put together the perfect custom mashup for my dad and I to dance to. Our wedding consisted of family and close friends, which made for a very different type of environment when it came to music and dancing. Kipper found the absolute perfect balance, and ensured that the selection was appropriate to audience on the dance floor. That being said, he definitely kept the dance floor moving all night long! We are so fortunate to have worked with Kipper, and cannot recommend him enough!!

Mitch was absolutely amazing! We gave him a short list of songs to play but a longer list of do not plays and really just let him know the vibe we were going for and he hit it 100%. He kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night. It was an absolute blast. If your looking for a DJ that knows how to read the crowd and keep everyone partying, Mitch is your guy. On top of that, he was so professional, organized and incredibly easy to work with. I may be biased but it was the best wedding I have ever been to :)

It also stressed the importance of hiring a fantastic DJ for your wedding to keep the party going. Mitch delivered. We had several zoom meetings before our wedding and Mitch helped us think through every detail, and many we did not consider. He helped with timing and overall day of event management. He set up at our ceremony site and provided amazing audio and then effortlessly was ready to go at the venue when the guests arrived. He kept everything going and the reception was the most fun. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and Mitch gets credit for a majority of that. If you are getting married - hire Mitch! Mitch did an absolutely amazing job at our wedding! Leading up to the wedding, he was always quick to respond to emails and completely thorough explaining each of the packages offered. The online process was easy and allowed us to make any requests and provide Mitch with information about us, the wedding party, and wedding itself. He took his time to meet with us the week of the wedding to make sure he understood all of the information entered online, our wedding vision, and what we expected from him. He had all of guests dancing and having a great time! He really understood the energy of the crowd and played off of the energy. I would have Mitch cover any event again in a heart beat! Mitch was our DJ for our January wedding reception at the Inn on Biltmore Estate. Everyone had the best time and we were so surprised at the amount of people on the dance floor. Mitch was responsive when we requested changes in the songs or adjustments to the timeline. My guests told me that they liked all the music and the evening appeared to flow seamlessly. The thing we liked the most was the online portal where we could make all of our song requests and submit timeline information. Mitch even scheduled a meeting with us to discuss our vision for our wedding reception. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding reception!

Remix Weddings in Asheville is awesome!!! The planning website was sooo easy and allowed us to outline more specific details we wanted for both our ceremony and reception. Our initial consultation with DJ Mitch helped us to outline everything, and really did help us when later choosing our music later on. We had DJ Ryan for our ceremony/reception, and he has got to be one of the nicest people in the world! So easy going, and gave us a ton of good tips (e.g., not allowing guests to request songs, cutting off toasts, etc.) Our music was perfect-- even some of our more specific requests were executed perfectly. The music at the reception was AWESOME. Our friends and family are still talking about how great of a party our wedding was. I would absolutely recommend Remix Weddings to anyone getting married in the area!!

I can't rave enough about Remix Weddings, particularly our DJ, Kipper. From the first time we spoke with him over the phone until the send off at the wedding, we loved that he was a part of our day. Kipper takes the time to get to know his clients and pick meeting spots and music that are unique to their style, wedding plans, and guests. We knew that there was something special about him, but after the wedding, our guests were referring to Kipper on a first name basis and he's become a bit of a household name! Not a single person has said "The DJ" because everyone just refers to him as "Kipper". Our guests (ALL ages) loved him so much they're trying to bring his services to Oregon! Kipper is one of a kind. While we loved all of our vendors, Kipper really stands out the most as an absolute all star. He listens, he cares, he helps plan and think through things, and he never makes you feel like he's too busy to do any of those things. I can't remember a time where I had as much fun dancing as I did during the wedding and could hardly believe that our time was up when he announced our send off. We made a special point to say goodbye to him (even over some of the guests!) just because his presence and contribution meant so much.

While planning the wedding of our dreams and wedding of a lifetime, my husband and I quickly discovered how difficult it was to not only find a DJ, but the perfect one! That all came to a halting stop when we first spoke to Mitch over the phone. We were a destination wedding so a lot of our planning naturally happened over a phone call. He even helped us pick out the most amazing song for my husband to walk down the aisle. Let’s just say, my husband and I gave Mitch 18-hours worth of music, because we are huge music addicts, and he played as much as he could (In an 8-hour window). He was so accommodating. He made our dream a reality. I cannot rave enough about Mitch. We had a smaller set-up for the reception, and then had a larger-scale set-up for the after party that was more of a club feel. My husband and I were married in April 2018 and after an exhaustive search for the right DJ (we were really picky!), we settled on Mitch Fortune of Remix Weddings. Mitch handled our pre-ceremony music to welcome in guests, our ceremony music (we chose non-traditional contemporary RnB songs to walk to), our cocktail hour, and our reception. He is the main reason we had such a good party! Everyone was dancing, young and young-at-heart. Mitch was really easy to work with and always available to return emails promptly. His set-up was especially nice as well! There were never any cords visible and his corner of the room looked professional and intentionally polished. He even made sure he checked in with me about our wedding attire and vibe so he could match it! Mitch was, without a doubt, the most organized vendor we used for our wedding reception. I comment on this first, because when it's down to the last couple weeks before your wedding, you immensely appreciate someone like Mitch. With his client planning portal, we were easily able to choose songs we wanted/didn't want/wanted if he had the right place in the lineup for etc. All of this was done well in advance. Now, as for his performance at the reception... EXCELLENT does not even come close. He did everything we asked of him without bothering us with any questions so we could enjoy ourselves. During the reception and in the days after, everyone commented on how GREAT of a job our DJ did and how WONDERFUL our playlist was. Our friends and the older guests at the wedding alike all PRAISED him. You won't regret working with him. He makes it so easy and does a FANTASTIC job. One last note...I forgot, in the midst of wedding planning, that our reception was originally supposed to be shorter than the amount of time in Mitch's smallest event package. Later, we added time on to our reception and I asked him how much extra I owed him. He reminded me that we still had extra time in the original package, so I didn't owe him anything. Others might not have been so honest. We couldn't have been happier with using him as our DJ.

Our DJ was Ryan and he was amazing. He was easy to work with and was well prepared for our initial meeting. He walked us through every step of the wedding and had great suggestions on music and order of things. Day of wedding went off without a hitch even though we made some last minute changes to our schedule he stayed on top of it and just went with the flow and really made sure our wedding was fun. All of our guests really enjoyed themselves and were dancing all night. He really did a fantastic job not just as a DJ but behind the scenes planning. Ryan took over as our wedding coordinator as soon as the ceremony was over and it was so smooth. I would highly recommend Ryan and Remix weddings to anybody.

DJ Mitch Fortune is the best of the best! You will never regret the decision to use him or his company! Very professional, very responsive, easy to use system for picking music, mixes the music flawlessly, and works great with all age groups from kids to the grandparents. He had our whole group dancing, and it was absolutely perfect! Worth every penny. If you’re debating between a cheaper Dj and remix- go with remix- I promise you they will not disappoint! We couldn’t have been happier and we got so many compliments on the DJ and his mixing ability! I would choose Remix over and over again! If you can get Mitch- grab him early he books up fast :) I would give more stars if I could!

Of all of our vendors 2 of them have received overwhelming feedback from the guests. Our photographer (Sunday Grant) and our DJ. Everyone, and I mean everyone, loved the music. Mitch is an actual DJ - not just someone keeping a playlist on cue, or stopping the music to talk a bunch. He made his announcements on time, brief, and then kept the party going all night. If I ever have another even requiring a DJ in the WNC area - won't even bother looking anywhere else.

Working with Mitch was a real pleasure! We met with Mitch first and had such a good feeling about him right from the start. I'll be honest though, then we met with another, cheaper DJ that our planner recommended so we could have options. We were so glad we went with our instinct! He did an absolutely amazing job that was worth every penny and more! The client portal was super easy and fun to use. It was a great and organized way to make sure all our important songs were played, as well as kept us on tract with its checklist. Someone's already said this, but Mitch is definitely a crowd/mind reader, because he played an array of music that kept everyone out on the dance floor all night! I wish the night could have gone on forever! I think most of our friends would agree, because we still (almost 6 months later) have people tell us it was the best "party" they'd ever been to and that the music was amazing! :)
