Brody and his team did a great job. I highly recommend them. They spent two days fixing what the original homeowner had done to the electrical. They were polite, asked my opinion, and cleaned up after themselves. If you call Current Electric request Brody and his team! They had to fix at least one thing in every room, minus my two bathrooms. The wiring for outlets were wrong or two prong in every room (8 to be exact.) They fixed my lights in the kitchen to my fan, moved the garbage disposal switch, they are now up to code outlets. They installed three fans in the living room, bedroom, and garage. The basement needed two outlets moved, the panel needed to be relabeled and rewired, an outlet was added in the workroom that had none, updated two outlets in the laundry room (freezer now has an alarm if the breaker goes), and they had to run wire from the panel to the workroom and they hid it in the closet for me. The outside box needed to be updated to match the panel in the basement, and they fixed an outlet outside that was no longer working. Then they added grounding outside for me. I am very thankful that these guys helped fix my home as it was a fire hazard before. I only took some photos as there were too many items fixed to take pictures of.

If you need a no nonsense load panel upgrade from 100AMPS to 200AMPS, look no further. Check out the before/after pictures. These guys did great work, kept me informed and were very patient with me and my questions. Jerm was the leader of the show, and a great teacher for his apprentices. Thanks and GREAT JOB.

Our electrician, Eric, was great! Couldn’t be more satisfied honestly. He and his assistant did numerous things around our home that really needed to be done. He upgraded our electric panel from 60 A to 200 A.He installed a new Tesla charger including running wires quite a ways through the walls of the house to the garage. He and his helper installed two outdoor outlets, repaired several switches that were not working, installed lights in our living room and several new lights, switches and outlets in our basement. It was a big job and my wife and I were very very happy with Eric and his helper. We felt the price for all this was very reasonable. And Not only did they do great work but they were constantly working on things and not taking breaks. Equally as important, they were both very pleasant, and went out of their way to do exactly what we wanted and seemed truly happy to leave us feeling good about the job. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so because I was so Impressed with this company. My husband and I had been considering putting solar panels on our roof for years, and Current Electric was one of the companies we called for a quote. Current was the only company that sent a person to our home to discuss proposals. The other two companies did proposals by Zoom. Call me old-fashioned, but I really appreciated having a warm body come out to explain and discuss the project face to face. Ultimately, we decided to install a generator rather than solar, so Current sent another team out to do some electrical work and discuss our options for installing a generator. Again, the guys who came out were incredibly polite, and we never felt rushed while we sat and discussed our options for the project. Current goes above and beyond in terms of service, courtesy, and professionalism! Lastly, today, much to our surprise, someone from Current delivered a beautiful gift box filled with treats thanking us for our business. This type of thoughtfulness and courtesy will always be in fashion.

I just want to say how impressed I was with my overall Current Electric experience. Everything from the estimate all the way through to the completed project was handled with the utmost professionalism. The office staff was so helpful keeping me informed of my up coming electrician appointment, as well as, any other scheduling or just questions that there might be. When my electrician, Brody, was going to arrive he would call and tell me how many minutes out he was. When Brody and Joe arrived we would first go over a list of what work was going to be done today. If I had any questions Brody would always respond respectfully and compassionately with his electrical expertise. No question was a dumb question. Great communication from the entire Current Electric staff. I felt very comfortable having them working in my house. Every time they would come and work they would go right to work and when they were done they would do a great job of cleaning up after themselves. We had some outlets that needed checking and light switches that had been causing dimming of lights on their own. Plus we needed a new outside light fixture changed to a dusk to dawn light for safety. The evaluation was done in a very through manner with him explaining to us what he was checking on. We purchased the new outside light and they came back in 2 days to install it. They were punctual, called to let us know when they were on their way to our home. We are very pleased with their service and will use them again!

From the time of the first meeting for a quote to the last day of work, all personnel were very professional, knowledgeable and patient, when having to work around both my work schedule and their own jobs scheduling. Tyler was the lead for all the work that was performed; new electrical for second floor living space, A/V cabling for TV throughout the house, installation of a security surveillance system (smoke & carbon monoxide detectors) and the installation of three new ceiling fans. I have recommended them to a friend, who was also very satisfied. I will be contracting them next year to upgrade a few things. Jake and Eric did a fantastic job! I thought my rooms were wired for fans they were but my Builder did not install the proper boxes. They explained the problem to me using terms I could completely understand and assembled and installed three fans for me. When finished the cleaned I need debris and explained how to use the remotes. The guys at Current understood my issue; listened to how I wanted it resolved; came up with options; and let me choose one of them. It even came in under quoted cost. Furnace tripped the breaker on the coldest day of the year & when i reset it-sparks flew out the top of my panel! Current was able to come out same day. The technician Dan M was courteous, professional & got me back up & running safely. The only down side is I was quoted a $45 service call & when the technician arrived, he explained it cost $45 just to place me on a list for him to show up then it was actually a $243.50 fee for him to tell me what was wrong. The woman making appointments should have made that clear. Thankfully I am able, but what if I didn't have that kind of money-being 2 days before Christmas? Kind of misleading but not the technicians fault.

Current Electric came out and gave me a detailed estimate on a new outdoor light I wanted installed over our back door and fix our ceiling fan in our bedroom. They called and came out ahead of the scheduled date and a few days later Eric and his assistant were here doing the job. They were professional, fast, polite and did an excellent job! They were done in 4 hours and cleaned up after themselves and at very reasonable prices. Not an hourly rate, but a flat fee for the work. I would highly recommend Current Electric for any kind of electrical problem or installation you have. A+++++.

Wade and team came in to fix very poor work by a previous electrician. Not only did they have to figure out and troubleshoot what went wrong (light switches and outlets did not work in multiple rooms) they also found a series of other dangerous problems. It was a huge job but they know their stuff, were very professional and completed the job in budget. Highly recommended! We will use them again if we need electrical work.

The only reason I gave 4 stars is, if I wouldn't have followed up after the quote to install, I am not sure when it would have been done. Tyler came right away after the home show and gave quote, then I didn't hear from the scheduler. When I talked to them at the booth at the next home show they said they would call me the following Monday... waited until Thursday before I called myself again. Then I finally was able to get it scheduled. The work was great, service from the electrician great. Hopefully scheduling gets better. But if I needed work done again I would call them.

I realize the copper wiring involved in that process is costly, but it was still a bit more expensive than I was expecting for an hour or so of work. This was my first time using Current, they came as a reference from my brother. From the very outset, starting with Kevin's visit, EVERYTHING went as smoothly. Kevin told us, in no uncertain terms, that a new Generac Generator will take a few months to procure, he was more than correct. Not only are the generators well behind schedule at the manufacturer, but now the switchbox was also on backorder...gotta love "supply chain issues". Then, suddenly, WE Energies informed us that a new meter and upgraded lateral service had to be installed, another unexpected blip on the production schedule. The main reason all of the delays and hiccups didn't have their typical aggravating effect was because Kevin and Emme kept me completely updated with calls, emails and texts, I never had the opportunity to stress over something because I felt out of the loop. As good as the continuous communication was, it was outdone on installation day. Kevin and his crew were simply AMAZING. Never stopped working, never left anything out of place, did a perfect build and kept me informed throughout the day as to what was happening, what it required and when it would be completed. They had indicated the install would take an entire day...they were in and out in under six hours. Except for my new generator, new gas line, new transfer switch, and my total satisfaction, they left no evidence that they were ever here. 5 stars is 5 stars short of what I would award. WELL DONE !!!!!

I needed the electrician to review a flickering light on the Bathroom exhaust fan to make sure there were not wiring problems. Since I was having them review, I wanted them to replace the original Broan fan/heater/light exhaust fan with an updated model (in first floor bathroom with no access from above, so didn't know how they could do it, but they did!). Secondly, I needed to replace a bedroom light fixture with a ceiling fan and change out the receptacle for a new dimmable/fan remote. The third thing was to fix living room fan. The fan currently is connected with a light dimmer and not a fan control (which is bad for fan motor). I wanted dimmable lights as well as fan speed. Right now you dim the control and it dims both lights and fan….plus this is bad for the motor, didn’t realize that when we bought the house. I wanted something in the wall vs a wireless remote. I really didn't know how to do this, and they easily knew what to do and it works great! Fourth, in my electrical box they found that it was not wired up properly. I had them fix the issues for safety and then relabel the switches as they weren’t labeled correctly. Once again I am amazed by their service. They gave me the option to have an electrician out the next day. I had to ask for a week later as I was not expecting to get in so fast. On the day of, Joe W., the electrician was right on time. He was very polite and professional. He put his booties on and had blankets out as to not track in dirt. I gave him a walk through and he gave me recommendations on the items I needed. He also provided me some great recommendations down the road of ways to make things better and whether its something I could do myself. This was super helpful. For weeks I was trying to google how to do some of these tasks… but he knew right away. I should have saved myself the stress and just called them up. Along the way he found out my electrical box wasn’t configured correctly. I had him write up a quote and it was pretty cheap to fix so I had him do it as well. He was never pushy about it. Just very informative. I had supplied most of the supplies, fan, etc…but a couple things I didn’t get the right item so he ran to the wholesale store and picked up the right parts. He was back in no time with another electrician. They cranked out everything in a few hours, a lot faster than either of us thought. They knew exactly what was needed and help solve me some of the headaches of how the heck they were going to do something without causing me drywall issues or access issues. When done, they cleaned up everything. I tested it all and it worked better than I imagined. I am super excited for everything they were able to help me out with today. I would definitely recommend.

This is the 3rd time I have used Current and if I have any electrical work in the future, I will use them again. There was a little wait when I was scheduling, but that is all contractors. They even called when there were cancellations to try and get me in earlier. The day of the appointment they were on time, followed all safety protocols, and each time in and out of the house put on new booties. As we went through the jobs (adding 8 outlets (6 interior and 2 exterior). If there was another way to do something they would let me know and often it was a more inexpensive approach. You get the amount it will cost within 15 min of walking through the job and they get started right then. They were quick, clean, and took time to walk through with my wife what all they completed and tested it with her before they left. There was one thing that was lost in the translation between me and them. When they called that next day to see how it went, i explained it was my fault. They had someone out there that day to fix it. Again, I will use them again and again in the future and you should too.

We contacted Current Electric as we were looking to get some light fixtures and bathroom fans installed in spring, but when our breaker kept tripping after we DIY-ed the replacement of outlets this winter, we had to call for professional help! I called in august as the power went out in the garage . I was told no one could be out till October 29th .. I just stayed with that as I know companies are busy … well they called in September to have a technician check it out . Found out the problem and we agreed to update our panel also . They were fabulous! We had them come out to inspect an electrical panel for a house. Not only did they come out in the worst weather (snow storm, limited visibility, slippery roads), but they were on time! I honestly could not believe it. I thought for sure they would need to delay or cancel. On top of this, their electrician was extremely professional and friendly. He was a great guy, and I honestly wish I could remember his name. I would definitely give him a shout out. Would definitely hire again. Be aware that while they are not the cheapest electricians, they are not the most expensive either. I waited for 45 mins. for the technician to arrive and then called the office to check on the status of things. I was told I had received a message the day before from the dispatcher telling me the time had been changed. When I told the woman I did not get a phone call she didn’t say a word. I expressed my frustration over the poor communication and not once was an apology offered. I understand schedule changes, but at least extend an apology when an error is made on your part and be sure you are calling the correct phone number when leaving a message.

Seriously the best service I've ever had. Nicest electrician/person that I have dealt with in that setting. Was very respectful to the house. Answered all our questions and showed us what he was going to do. We had a few outlets, lights, and switches installed. The work is amazing, looks great. Personal note: we have a very loud, but tiny dog. The electricians were very patient with the annoying little guy. They would let the dog sniff their hand when they would come back from grabbing something from the truck, and pet him to calm him down. I found Current Electric on Angie's List where they had many, many glowing reviews. They were extremely responsive and prompt. I loved their emailed bid with each job listed separately with a cost so you could pick and choose what you wanted to do. Of the 5 projects we asked them to bid on, we hired them for 4 - the 5th we decided to skip. When he came out to look at our projects Jim let me know that they'd have to cut a 6" wide channel in the living room ceiling in order to be able to install recessed lighting because it had no attic access. We understood that we'd have to hire another company to repair the drywall and we were fine with that. Today Jeremiah and Brody completed our job and figured out a way to install the lights WITHOUT making any additional cuts in the ceiling! I wanted to have wall switches installed on 5 basement ceiling lights that had been on pull chains. Called Current Electric based on a neighbors referral. I ran the wire, installed the conduit, had everything ready, just wanted a professional to make the actual connections for safety reasons. Josh came out (a VERY nice guy, by the way) and gave me an up front quote of $900. I have to say I was pretty shocked by the amount and wouldn't have paid that much. After some discussion, we agreed on $650. He went ahead with the work, which took about two hours. Much to my surprise, after the work was completed, Josh said he was knocking $100 off the price as it had taken him less time than anticipated. Work was done well and a good experience overall-- thanks Josh!

All lights were installed where I wanted them. One set of vanity lights did not have bulbs installed or the globes put on the fixture. Bulbs should have been included, but apparently were not. I had to leave before they were finished. I went to the store I purchased the vanity lights, and there were bulbs in the box they opened. I was given the bulbs and needed to install them myself along with the globes. I would hire them in the future for electrical work.

I have used Current Electric three more times since this first review. Jim has done all the last three jobs, which were extensive. Emmy, from the office, communicates regarding appointments, she is friendly and professional. Jim, electrician, is friendly, professional, and great with my animals. Jim knows his stuff and thoroughly explains what needs to be done. He doesn't seek to do unnecessary work and run up a bill. I will request Jim from Current Electric but would trust any of their electricians. Current Electric did a thorough walk through about a week prior to doing the actual work. They provided me with a detailed estimate and requested one-third down, which I paid. The electrician, Jeremiah, and his apprentice, whose name I don't remember, were on time, wore masks, and covered their shoes with botties. They were in and out of the house a lot and were careful about the booties. I had been told the work would take a full day, which it did. Everything was completed. The two men cleaned up and vacuumed the areas where they had been working. I have two dogs and a cat and they were friendly toward my animals ànd checked with me to make sure the vacuuming wouldn't upset the animals. I am thrilled with all the work done. I would use Current Electric again.

Tyler and Wade had great communication prior to showing up, and after they arrived I can honestly say they were the most professional and courteous professionals we've had in our home. A prior handyman had messed up a six switch panel, cutting off power to separate rooms in the house. Tyler thoroughly explained their process and answered any questions I had before starting to work, and then listened and asked questions to my explaining of the situation. You really don't get that type of VIP treatment from many other professional tradesman. Tyler and Wade systematically identified the the different switches (multiple three ways and outlets inside and outside the home), constantly communicating to us when power might be going on/off. They then solved EVERYTHING, and Tyler walked us through all of the solutions, and cleaning up the small debris. I had 3 small ceiling fans that needed to be installed and 4 outlets that needed to be checked. The ceiling fans I had purchased 2 myself and Sean brought us one more. We were charged over $1,700. When I told others, they said we got robbed. They are right!!! 15 minutes each fan took for instalation. The outlets changed took only a few minutes as well. We paid for the fact that he installed it that day and also checked our fuel box. Gave many great suggestions, Sean was extremely nice and thorough. I just feel that amount of money was crazy to pay. We paid for his experience and certification but way too much money spent for the work he did. I really felt the cost is extremely high. I wish I wasn't so eager to get it done. I would have saved at least $1000. I would do business again if they had fair prices..

Current Electric added a sub panel to our house and electricity to our garage back in 2005. I had them come out today to check why our garage lost power sometime yesterday afternoon. The technician quickly determined that a switch near the floor where the power comes into the garage was inadvertently turned off. 😅 All power was restored, free of charge. The technician even suggested a remedy to ensure that it doesn’t happen again! Excellent customer service, and fabulous workmanship the FIRST time! Excellent experience! I called Current to fix a cable wire that had been accidentally cut in a previous renovation. (The cable company said it was too difficult for them to fix and recommended that I call an electrician.) Jim estimated the project. He was very helpful, listening carefully to what I wanted and then offered a different way to achieve my lighting goal. Both options were priced separately in the bid so I could choose. Taylor and Jake did the work. I was concerned about the trenching that would have to go through my new plantings, but none were harmed. My gazebo now has electricity with a fan/light combo they installed. There was a halt in the work flow to consider how to best ground the system, which was determined to include drilling through my basement and garage wall and running the wire along the ceiling. Necessary per City inspector. That was done with a minimum of disruption. I’ve waited for a long time to have this work done because it seemed overwhelming to me. I’m very pleased with the result and would happily work with Current Electric again.

Background: I am admittedly picky and hard to please. Growing up an engineer's daughter, I learned early on to be a stickler for quality work. On Monday afternoon, I stopped in at Current Electric and spoke briefly with the person in charge (manager and/or owner). Since I'm not too far from their office, he said he could have someone swing by before the end of the week and take a look at the 7 exterior light fixtures I needed installed. Shortly after noon only two days later, I get a call asking if I'm free in the afternoon (which I was) for one of their electricians to come over. About 20 minutes later, after walking around the house and seeing the work, I'm signing a contract for what I consider a fair price. Almost as important as the cost, installation was to commence on the spot and was completed late that same afternoon. For over a week, I'd been on the phone and on Yelp calling no fewer than 11 electricians and handyman services trying to find anyone who was willing to even give me a quote. Of the other 10, only three had called back and only two of those were willing to give a specific day when someone could come out and provide a quote. The electrician Current Electric sent to my house was professional, hard working, friendly, and resourceful. His resourcefulness was crucial to his success. Of the 7 light fixtures, 3 were very tricky and much problem solving and tool skill was needed to complete the installations. My many questions and requests were also graciously handled to my satisfaction. I will be hiring this company again and highly recommend them.

This is the second time we used Current Electric. The electricians are awesome and were very good at what they do. Loved Josh. My only problem with this company is the front desk/appointment people. The first time we were told they would come out on a specific date/time. Only to find out the gal put in the wrong date in the computer. The second time we were told they would be at our house at 9am. Only to find out we were put on some "will call" list. Which means whenever someone becomes available during that day. They finally came (after 2 calls to them) at 2:30. Get some extra people to work at the appointment desk and preferably someone that can get it right.

Final Phase

Immediately Tyler introduced himself, the job he was requested to do and his intent to do a complete job to my satisfaction. He looked things over and wrote up the quote. He recommended/explained why I needed a better "insulated" tubing for my exhaust fan and installed it. He finished the job in a timely fashion and cleaned up well after. I would have work done by Tyler/Current Electric Co. again.

Their attention to detail is certainly worth noting; for example, the previous homeowner had attempted to wire in their own outlets and left the job uncompleted with unfinished wiring behind the walls. My technician Steven insisted that he rewire the entire basement and pull out all of the unfinished wiring as a result, and the finished job looks and functions wonderfully and was done within 2 days. The two techs did a good job of completing the tasks I had for them. I was fully satisfied with the work. I'm giving 3 stars only because I didn't care much for the way Current bid the job. I had mentioned to them that I rejected a bid from another company, and Current asked me twice how much that bid was, before giving me their own estimate. When Current did give me an estimate it was a set amount, and the invoice also shows only that amount, without labor rates or parts itemized. I prefer the old-fashioned method for giving estimates: tell me the labor rate per hour, give me an estimate of how many hours it will take, then bill me for actual time and materials. I believe that's a more straightforward approach to doing business.

We were having issues with our generator simply displaying a "red light" and not running its' usual maintenance schedule. Went onto their website, chatting with a support rep. and had an appointment for the following week setup with in minutes. No hassle or difficult if we didn't know all the details such as model, serial, etc. Tech came out at the beginning of the appt. window, explained the entire generator to me from top to bottom, and went over our options for resolution. He determined the best route would be to do a full maintenance on the generator and replace the battery (which was 5 years into its' 5 year expected lifetime). He took the time to walk me through every question I had, no matter how stupid it may have been, and explain to me how everything worked. Since we "inherited" the generator when we bought the house, there were plenty of questions I had that couldn't be answered in a manual. Simply incredible service, attention to detail, and the price was far lower than I expected. Overall incredibly impressed with the company and we will be using them again for our future electrical needs.

Brian and Steve did a great job. They were friendly, efficient and cleaned up the areas after they were through. I like Current Electric but I think they are a bit pricey. Wanted one more thing done and they quoted me a price I felt was too high, especially since I just had $800 worth of work completed, and they wouldn't budge. Now it is back to getting quotes with other electrical companies opening the door for me to find someone who is just as professional but more reasonably priced. That said, I believe they do good work.

I want to Thank Current Electric for an emergency call visit in Wauwatosa. Steve, was so professional, genuine and helpful. He cares for his employer and for his customers. I can’t thank him enough for his expertise and for solving a problem that should never happen in the first place. Total difference of two companies - I had another Electric company do what I thought was routine maintenance, and found a couple items that was not working after he left even he said everything was working. The other company wanted to charge me for 160.00 for just one hour and doesnt back their work. including 80.00 trip charge to troubleshoot issues that the Electrician didn’t complete the first time. Current Electric cares for their customers and the trip charge is only 45.00 vs eighty!!!

They had their guys on the roof installing the panels and other ones in the basement preparing for the inverter and connecting all the wiring and correcting anything that needed to be corrected. I really appreciated the recommendation of installing extra support beams in the attic to support the roof. Especially with all the extra snow that we received I would’ve been worried but now I have no concern I know the roof will hold. Quick and professional service, but possibly overpriced. I paid over $700 for two electricians to install a bath fan and light switch in my master bath. No new wires needed to be run. This was just replacing one that I had removed. The two electricians, one named Mike, were great and explained what they were going to do and did so in just over an hour. They were awesome and I would recommend they do work again in my house. My only question is how much they charged for such an easy job and one that did not take that long. Lesson learned to get multiple quotes, but no doubting that Current Electric will do the job right.

Kevin, on the service end, was fantastic! Rachel, on the customer service end, should listen to the customers and keep them informed better. A customer shouldn’t have to wait all day for an hour and a half service call. I could have been much better informed as to when the tech was going to arrive. I called at 9:30am to see when tech would arrive and I had to call back at 12:45pm, still waiting for an answer. They can’t just say the tech will call you a half hour before he’s coming, or you end up waiting all day. Good company, just need to fix this!

We had a very simple job in our new house - needed a 240 outlet for a dryer. We learned that most companies will not quote for service "sight unseen", which is fair for electrical work. Current was the only entity that didn't charge an exorbitant "trip fee" just to quote (others ranged from $40-60 just to come out, not counting work done), and came in nearly $350 under the other company who quoted for us. The guys who came out to do the job quoted quickly, worked quickly and professionally, and double-checked everything to be sure things were good before they left. All in all took them only 1.5 hours, including quote and a quick trip for supplies. Generally a great, painless process. Price was what I expected (compared to some of the competitors), and payment was easy thanks to the use of tablets to take the credit card payment. We would definitely use Current again in the future! We're very pleased.

I contacted Current Electric to re-do an electrical problem that another electric company TOTALLY botched the job!! Current Electric has OUTSTANDING reviews and an A+ At the Better Business Bureau. All ratings are 5 Star ratings by individuals! Sean, the electrician sent by Current Electric did an EXCELLENT job. He was able to re-install an outside wall light fixture and put the junction box in the wall where it should have been whereas the other company pulled the wire to the outside and used an indoor round pancake junction box that didn’t fit and caused the fixture to not be flush to the wall ? I highly recommend this company !! And Sean the electrician did. GREAT job fixing the installation of the fixture !!!!

Joel got here and changed around our circuits as our furnace, fridge, televisions and certain parts of our home were not working. He informed me this was a problem with WE Energies and told me to call them. Well when he switched the circuits around we finally got heat from the furnace, (it was 57 in the house). He also got the fridge working and told me to call him after WE Energies had finished their work so he could come back and switch the circuits back to where they belonged. WE Energies came and had to install a whole new power cable to my home. They were really cool about it too. They had to climb up on my roof as well as attach the other end to the transformer on the pole in my backyard. Ok, Joel did an awesome job for us and didn't charge a penny even though he is the one who diagnosed the problem and did the work in the circuits so our furnace and fridge would come back on. Joel came back a couple of hours ago as he said he would and restored the circuits back to their original place. I can't say enough about Joel or Current Electric. This is such a great company. I'm glad I used Angie's List and Home Adviser to find this company.
