The instructor, Mekonnen, is the best driving instructor I’ve had the pleasure of learning from. He’s very kind and laid back. He’ll give you good instructions and make sure you’re comfortable on the road. He makes sure you understand where you made an error and correct you with patients. I took the driving test 4 times and failed, sadly.. after having some practice with Mekonnen, I was able to pass the test with ease! It was so easy after I had his help :) DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL!

I am so happy. This is by far the best driving school around. Mekonnen is such a wonderful teacher. He is very patient and very encouraging! He literally gives you the confidence to succeed and is a great teacher especially for those with anxiety. I passed the provisional test on my very first try with his teachings and he prepared me exactly to a T for the test. Even the instructor at the MVA said I did great and had nothing to be worried about. The best teacher and the price can’t be beat!

Mekonnen is a very patient, caring, and encouraging driving instructor. Throughout the on road practice, he would correct any and all mistakes, and take it a step further by explaining the reasoning and how that will be related to the actual driving exam. He teaches directly what is on the exam and wishes for you to do your best. Because of him, I was able to get my license on my first attempt. I highly recommend taking his course.

I have failed my driving test multiple times and whenever I needed a practice before the next driving test I would go here. The driving school I went to no longer did extra practice due to COVID so I’m glad I found Circle Driving School. Instructors are nice and make you feel comfortable. I used a rental car from them and I passed my driving test finally. This school is very helpful and had various hours for days that you would need an extra practice lesson

I had such a good time driving and learning how to park with Mekonnen hes so nice and super good teacher. He eases any anxiety you may have about driving and gave tips on how to line your car up to easily pass the driving test which i passed on my first go using! I did my first part of my in class driving with another driving academy which contrasted so much with how laid back this driving instruction is but as well super thorough. I had an extremely positive experience with Circle Driving School. I was originally doing my driving practice with my friends, which was good but still not the same as an expert. I scheduled 4 lessons, 1 hour each, and went over everything I needed to pass my driving test. After the second class I had a good handle on front parking, back parking, and a 3 point turn. I scheduled for the Driving test service as well, since I did not have a car of my own. I met my instructor at his place of business and rode with him to the MVA. He handled my sign in and walked through the course with me and I passed my test on the first try!

I would recommend Circle Driving School to anyone who wants a professional and hassle-free driver's education. I tried a different driving school a few blocks from them and the experience was so frustrating and stressful. But when I reached out to Circle Driving School a few days before my test, they were so understanding, professional and patient. My instructor went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and ready for my driving skills test. On the day of the driving test, my instructor ensured that my appointment at the DMV went smoothly so that I can just focus on my test. I passed my skills test on my first attempt with thanks to Circle Driving School. I wish I could give them a thousand stars because five stars definitely feels too small for this awesome school! I wish I could give this place 100 Stars. In some words, they are the best. I have never had a driving license and I have always been afraid to drive. After taking the required in classroom education hours plus 6 hours driving, I concluded that they were very helpful, they DO care about the students, their safety, and their preparation. They get the students ready to pass and to succeed during their first MVA road test attempt. They are different from other driving schools, they put so much effort in helping the students that you would have not choice but to highly recommend them for their dedication. In other words, They care more about the students than about the money. In addition, I wanted to get some more experience behind the wheel because I was getting anxious while driving, so I purchased 14 extra hours which was THE BEST investment I had ever made. Mr. Gerry/Gary the instructor was amazing, he is so experienced, disciplined, and dedicated to teach. I was super lucky to have him. he encouraged me to do my best and taught me how to pass my MVA road/skills test. In addition, He focuses in safety for the students and the community. He is the best and this school is for sure the best in the area. I am very thankful to them because of their dedication, I finally got my driving license today.

I took their classes in 2020 for alcohol and road classes. The communication is easy and they are flexible. Prices are quite reasonable. And i loved Greg for my road practices. He teaches you with confidence and quite relaxed temperament which is very important to get over your anxiety and stress. I got my license after his lessons. Meanwhile, they are ethical too. Once, I had paid extra money by mistake and hadn't noticed that, the owner of school gave me a call to correct the payment and he reimbursed the money. I wasn't close to their address, but they would pick you up if they can.

If I could give them 6 stars I would! I had a great experience here. Mekonen is the best. There was so much communication, prompt response and he was super flexible with my schedule. I contacted Circle Driving School as I needed to practice my driving skills more, especially the parking. And I can say that I wish I had found this school and the instructor earlier! Don't waste your time practicing with family and friends, go to this school - these people know how to teach you all the technical skills needed for your road test and for driving in general, as easy as 1-2-3. My instructor, Arega, the owner of this business, was very patient, gave a detailed feedback each time and valuable advice about pretty much everything. He really cares about your success and is very accommodating too. I wasted hours on learning the reverse parking before, and here I mastered it in an hour, and overall felt so much more confident. I went to take the road test and passed it with no problem! I highly recommend this school to everyone!

This school is better than Greg's Driving School and any other driving school in the area. I wish I would have taken my Drivers Ed here instead of at Greg's, which is closer to my home. Mechoian is awesome! I am a woman who couldn’t pass her drivers test to save her life before circle driving school. I took lessons with Mechoian and I passed the very first time with him! I have had a great exprience of being trained at Circle Driving school. The way the school organized is excellent. The office and the lecture room are well structured and organized. The instructor always prepares the training materials ( handouts, video demonstration, evaluation materials, etc ) very well before the arrival of students. The method of his lecture is interactive ( motivate students to ask questions). He elaborates questions raised by students clearly until he makes sure that students grasp the idea properly. During the driving skill training, he guides his students properly in a matured and patient way. He never ceases to respond for the students' questions; he is more focused and concentrated while students are driving with him. I honestly recommend Circle driving school to anyone who wants to have a good driving skill as well as knowledge about all important traffic signs, rules, and laws.

I came to Circle Driving School based on the reviews I found here, so I'd like to pay it forward and let people know about my positive experience. I came to the school the day I received a driver's permit and spoke with Mr. Arega Gera about the Maryland required 30-hour driver's education program. Turns out they had just begun day 1 of the 2-week course, so I enrolled that day and showed up for the course in the evening. Mr. Gary was my classroom instructor, and my initial driving coach. I can't stress enough how wonderful of an instructor that Gary is in both environments. The classroom curriculum is pretty dry (and state mandated), but Gary stayed enthusiastic and involved, and made sure that students participated in the lectures. Not only that, but he also worked with students to make sure that the material was clear, and to refine and correct students so that they don't make mistakes with the MVA or while driving. As for the road instruction, Gary was very patient, attentive, and analytical about my driving. Even if I was about to or had made a minor mistake, he never felt the need to grab the steering wheel from my hands or step on the passenger-side break. I've had an instructor in the past who felt the need to do both, constantly, and I'm sure many people can say the same (not that I blame them; being in the car with a new driver can be very nerve-wracking!). After I completed the 30-hour curriculum, which included 6 practice hours of driving, I decided to continue practicing with the school. I also had another instructor, Mr. Ruben, who I occasionally rode with. He was also an excellent teacher, and gave me some very useful perspectives on safe driving techniques that I hadn't considered. Most importantly, he also explained WHY it's a good idea to do certain things in certain ways, such as keeping up with traffic, how to look at your mirrors/blind spots, and making eye contact/waving with other drivers and pedestrians to communicate with them. The only inconvenience I had experienced was at a scheduled practice driving appointment, where my instructor (I believe it was Ruben that day) was scheduled to meet with me, but the previous appointment met with him 40 minutes late. Practice driving sessions are 2 hours each, and since appointments are usually scheduled back-to-back, this meant that I would potentially need to wait about 40 minutes until I could meet with my instructor. To accommodate both of us students, rather than reschedule I agreed to wait for the instructor to return after his current driving session was done. At this point Mr. Arega himself offered to teach me in the time we had before the two of them returned. This was a pleasant surprise, as Arega is the school's manager, and he definitely did not have to do this for me. But I was very thankful for it, because I was still able to practice that day and stick to my own plans. Once I felt ready and had enough hours logged, I enrolled through the school to take the MVA practical driving test. Forgive me that I don't remember the name of the instructor who came with me to the MVA (Maresh I believe was his name), but he also gave me some great advice, and also went out of his way to wait for me to get my papers after the test and drive me back from the MVA to my next destination. Oh, and yes, I passed the test on the first try! All in all, I've had an extremely positive experience with the school and its staff. I see that there is a lot of praise for Gary in these reviews, but my other instructors were all equally helpful and important in getting my MD license. It's clear that everyone wants to help you succeed, and that management appreciates you as a student and a customer.
