This was a great experience. I learned a whole lot from the instructor Jose who has a whole lot of patients for new bikers. They teach you how to ride and how to ride safe. Not too many classes that you can take over the weekend. This is the place to go for sure. I appreciate all the good advice and training you gave me Jose. Definitely not buying a Harley Davidson. The Honda shadow is about the same for less.

Took the motorcycle safety course this weekend and had a great experience. Our coach Jose was terrific. Made sure everyone was comfortable with what they were doing and had no problem showing you what needed to be done if asked. Just finished my classes. Jose was great. The classes are balanced excellently between doing your lessons and hanging out a bit in between the exercises and instructions to make the 8 hour days really easy to get through. Class size of 8 is perfect for everyone to get attention and those that need a little more help receive that without holding things up. Heather was also great teacher in training. I'm sure she's going to be a excellent fun instructor as well in the next couple of week.

Had a great time at this class . I was a fairly new rider and the instructor Jose taught me techniques I never knew about while also keeping me comfortable and confident on my motorcycle. He allowed me to use my own motorcycle so I could become more familiar with it as that is what I would be riding . I am way more confident with the feel of bike compared to how I was before starting. The knowledge learned will 100 percent come in handy if I am ever in a situation where I need to think fast and use a maneuver. They did not rush us and allowed us to master each task . I highly recommend coming to take your course at Tampa Motorcycle Training

The class really was worth the investment, the hands-on portion really built confidence to advance to the next maneuver. The instructor had real world experience that he shared to really understand why what he was instructing had to be done this certain way. The classroom portion was casual and worked well. I would strongly suggest this organization to anyone who has an interest in learning to ride and to an experienced rider as well.

Learning to ride a motorcycle was fun and made simple with instructor Jose thanks to his easy to follow explanations of how things work and demonstrations of the exercises the class were to preform and never got bored or worn out thanks to his upbeat and supportive personality and humor. Todd provided excellent training tips and guidance throughout the course. He took the extra time to explain in detail (many times repeatedly) each concept and walkthrough until everyone understood what he was asking. The nature of this type of training offers many challenges, long days in the Florida sun and heat, and the ability to hear (with motor running and helmet on), comprehend, apply and build proficiency, and retain skills from each exercise. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience I would highly recommend for both new and experienced riders in order to become a safer rider, and also better enjoy the riding experience.

So if there are ANY NEGATIVE post on any of these Google reviews, then they are SIMPLY NOT TRUE, especially if you get instructor Jose (With his guest assistant, which is his brother, and one of the most laid back/professional people you will ever meet.). The whole Tampa Motorcycle Training team was professional and created a great rapport with everyone right from the start! Also once you get in to the nitty gritty stuff with riding, rest assured, even it is your first time riding, you will have a team that will have your back all the way threw. So IF YOU'RE NERVOUS or things of that nature, then you can put all that to rest, because right away Jose creates a CALM and COOL ATMOSPHERE of learning and also assures that if you have a question, just ask as many times as you need, and if you don't feel good about a certain part that Jose has tasked you to do with the bike then simply tell him and he will help you work through it! All in all, we had a great class full of people with diverse backgrounds and that all come from DIFFERENT WALKS OF LIFE, so whatever race, color, culture, or creed, it is MY SINCERE BELIEF that everyone will be RESPECTFULLY WELCOMED to this basic rider's course and schooled properly so that they may succeed with their course goals! Shout out to the "Tick Tick Gang" (Inside joke for anyone that was present in this class lol!) for being the first class in a while to not drop a single bike and all receive a 100% passing score!

I’m the type of person who enjoys learning, but I can’t say I’ve ever had this much fun learning. Doesn’t matter if you never rode a motorcycle before, by the end of the two day class you will feel much more confident going out and starting your biking journey. The instructor, Jose, was awesome. Very attentive, relaxed, and personable. You’re not being yelled at a drill sergeant or some ex-cop with a bitter attitude. You’re being helped by a competent and funny coach who obviously wants to see you succeed. Great location for Zephyrhills/Wesley Chapel.

My instructor was Dave G. Let me start off by saying I am not an easy person to teach. In school I needed my teacher to constantly repeat thing for me to understand and even then it’d be difficult. Dave made it so that even somebody who has never even approached a motorcycle could learn quickly. He has great techniques and makes his instructions very clear, ensuring that there is no confusion for any inexperienced riders. My class was mixed with some novice and some experienced riders. Even the experienced riders improved on their skill in things like turning and maneuvering. All in all I feel comfortable saying that Dave is an excellent instructor and I’d recommend his class to anybody who is in need of an msf certificate.

If you are an inexperienced motorcycle rider or someone looking for a training class to learn the correct and safe ways to operate and ride a motorcycle I highly recommend this one for you. Our instructor, Jose, was and is outstanding. He teaches you in the classroom about all the important information about safe operation of a motorcycle. Then as you move out on the range, you hear, see, and then practice all of the practical and simulated real world operation of the bike. It starts with learning all about the bike, through the safe operation of the bike. You are explained and then shown exercises designed to teach you safe riding techniques. You are taught techniques on avoidance of hazards from drivers and the environment around you. There's plenty of time in my opinion, to practice the tasks assigned and opportunities to ask questions as needed. Our instructor, Jose, gave feedback throughout to build confidence and continue building your skills. You then are given a fair and varied evaluation to show that you have developed those skills to a level to be proficient in safely handling the motorcycle. You then take a written assessment regarding rules and best practices of motorcycle riding. I highly recommend the training class. And I commend Jose on his thorough and positive teaching techniques.

Todd, our class instructor, is very diligent, thorough and professional. He is great in making assessment on the fly and will give advice on how to improve your riding skills. He always put emphasis on safety. I am glad I attended this class. It made me aware of my bad riding habits that I have to work on. Above all, it gave me confidence as a safe rider.

Overall had a great experience at Tampa Motorcycle Training. The written portion is done in Gables Powersports and is well air conditioned and comfortable. We had a small class size and we were able to complete the test packet and practice riding for our evaluation before the second day. Jose was our instructor and he did a great job ensuring we were all understanding the content and teaching, and demonstrated every course we did. Highly recommend TMT over the other options close by.

Had a great time the past two days taking this course. Jose was knowledgeable, entertaining, and clearly cares about everyone being safe and having a good time. Learning to ride a motorcycle can feel intimidating, but he does a great job of keeping everyone relaxed and confident. He also put up with me sticking around afterwards badgering him with questions and gave some good advice for my first bike. Beforehand I was bummed that I couldn't schedule something closer to my house, but by the second morning I couldn't wait to drive an hour to get up there and would've driven even further, it was 100% worth it.

Todd is clearly a natural of the craft. You want to survive? This guy will set you up for success. The habits he trains into you in such a short amount of time are life saving. The course was fun as it was informative. However, it can get very difficult if you don't bring an open mind and no sense of balance. If you can ride a bike, the latter isn't an issue.

I highly recommend Dave H as the motorcycle safety course instructor. He was extremely thorough in his teachings and truly focused in on what was important out on the road when riding your motorcycle. He incorporated his 52 years of experience on bikes into the curriculum which gave us real-life experiences to each of the 5 evaluation areas. This helped put perspective to the stopping, swerving, and turning simulations. As a person who instructs individuals on jet skis and boats for a living, I have to give Dave H props for his unbeatable patience with his clients. Overall, my experience here was simply put, awesome.

Student skill level ranged from total beginner to experienced riders. Classes are kept small and the instructors are there to help. Took the motorcycle Endorsement class over this past weekend and I had a blast. Jose was extremely patient with me and others in the class, answering all of our questions regardless of how specific or in detail we went. When I and others were not getting a concept, Jose would speak calmly and friendly to us exposing what we were doing wrong and how to correct it. Jose would often help us as well, guiding us in controlling and operating the motorcycle, while giving us real world advice and tips. I recommend bringing food/water/Gatorade and bringing/using sunscreen as you will be on asphalt in the sun. There is a tent that you sit under during breaks, and breaks are taken very frequently, about every 10-15 minutes. It can get hot. Bring a long sleeve shirt over a jacket as you will sweat in the leather, and unless you're overprotective about dropping the bike, or falling, you won't need extreme protective gear outside of jeans, shoes, long sleeve shirt, helmet and gloves. I recommend buying and bringing your own gloves too so you can get used to using the throttle, clutch, and brake with your own gloves so you get a better consistent feel. Good luck, and safe riding!

Never been on a bike once. Passed! Small class of 8 max so I felt I there was good direction. Coaches were great. Alot of new riders in my class showed me I am not alone. Super fun! Bring water both days and snacks or lunch day 1.

He made it comforting to learn something new and made my experience even better. I fell. I bruised. I ache. The best experience I had. Jose Acosta is an amazing patient teacher and despite my own nervousness and hesitation he was there for every potential rider at every step. I was frighten enough to even touch the class, fearing failure, but a few hiccups I managed to carry my confidence well and will ride with his teachings for a long time. You will enjoy this class and the others. It's okay to be afraid and fall, just pick yourself up afterwards and constantly ask for help. I really enjoyed this course! Shoutout to Todd for being an amazing instructor and providing a wealth of knowledge. Todd did a great job explaining the ins and outs of riding and encourging questions. You do not need to know very much in order to take this course. I reccomend that you at least know how to ride a bicycle, have a growth mindset, try not to have anxiety of riding a bike get the best of you (this is especially true if you tend to get anxious easily), and take safety seriously. The environment was laid back while also safety focused, consisting of book work and 14 different exercises/ test tracks to get you riding comfortably.

Excellent class. We had eight people, ages 25 to 75 (both men and women) in our group. Our coach Jose has a great attitude, an obvious passion for riding and enjoys encouraging others. His calm, positive, professional demeanor instilled confidence in our ability to complete the class and pass the test while keeping the learning environment fun. There was never any pressure to hurry through an exercise or keep up with anyone. Im a 54 yr old woman, never felt intimidated and had a great time. If your thinking about getting your motorcycle endorsement, this is the class.

This is the first time in a long time I go into a new experience with no expectations. I believe this helped me tremendously. I never even been on scooter or a passenger on a motorcycle so at my age this is a huge move. I drove from the Tampa airport to the course location for about 50 min. And it was well worth it. The class was excellent. I loved the small amount of students, it makes it a little more personal, making it easier and faster to learn throughout the course. Jose, the instructor was very helpful and patient, got us all to where we needed to be effectively. He gave us the proper time to feel comfortable with what we were doing and gave us breaks often enough so we would not suffer from heat exhaustion (greatly appreciated). i recommend them . i recommend this school more than the other motorcycle training schools in this part of the state because the prices are better the teachers are better in comparison from computer research i did . the meeting places were very clean . the customer service was terrific . they did text or call me back shortly when given texts or calls each day . i did have two instructors - jose and david hewitt . the instructor jose instructed patiently and very kindly . david hewitt has much teaching experience . when he noticed the difficulties i did have with slow curves because i kept using front brake which disrupted my balance - he told me to if needed for slow turns use back brake . when he told me this , to my surprise , my turns were much better then . the employees of this school will do what it takes for you to get your waiver by the end of the course . they make it easy for the students that wish to be there then . thank you thank you to the employees have a nice rest of the day .

I have over 50 years of motorcycle driving experience but when I moved from Michigan to Florida 7 years ago my motorcycle endorsement was not transferred onto my new Florida drivers license. Ouch….found out years later the endorsement was not there and was quite shocked to find it never got transferred! Should of looked at my license a lot closer when I first got it! Anyway had to retake a recertification after driving easily over 100k miles on a bike…….arrggg! Want to say this, “ I give Jose 5 stars because of the way he handled dealing with me! Small class did give everyone a chance at some one-on-one time. Very relaxed atmosphere, which was nice since motorcycle riding is all about fun, but, knowledgeable instructor made it nice to know you're getting the correct information. Honest approach to the safety aspect of riding. I was there due to the fact that Florida required it in order for me to add the endorsement since they do not recognize Alabama's motorcycle license, even though I've had it (still have the actual original license) since 1974.!.

I drove over an hour to have Dave teach me to ride a motorcycle. This was not my first class. I took myself out of my first motorcycle training class as the bike was too large and intimidating for me and the class was very fast paced. I am a female in my mid forties and only had experience on the back of a bike. I was scared!! Dave took the time with me to settle my nerves and get right to what I was doing wrong and how to correct it. Within the first exercise I felt so much more comfortable. By the end of the first day I was enjoying myself! He also taught us so many safety tips and advice on continuing our training once we are on our own. I had an instructor named George who was rude, angry, yelled all the time, and over all didnt teach us things we needed to learn for the test......but thanks to David, my girlfriend and I passed with flying colors!!!! I have been riding as a passenger for many years. I have wanted to ride my own bike for the last several years, but was unsure of which class to take. I have heard some horror stories from other ladies who have taken courses and felt belittled, were yelled at, etc. The first positive was that courses were offered frequently, and my friend and I were able to book the weekend course in the week prior. VERY LUCKY... The class is limited to 8 riders and there are 2 instructors which offers a more personal feel to the instruction. The atmosphere of the class was very positive and supportive from the first minute. Dave and Lisa were very genuine, respectful and patient, guiding us into confidence easily. They really made us feel that they cared about our progress and really wanted for all of us to become excellent riders. Dave is extremely thorough, and ensures that you understand every technique that is being taught. For a girl like me, who was completely unsure of myself, I left this course feeling very confident and ready for the next chapter... the streets! I would highly recommend this company to ANYONE. I tend to go by reviews for everything I can and I'm glad I did that for the BRC and found this training. I already had a lot of experience riding, but coming to FL from MA I had to do it. Dave taught this course extremely well and gave me a lot of slow maneuver tricks I did not know when I self studied and practiced myself (which I did a lot before). I don't think these guys let anyone down either, so if you have test anxiety, these guys will get you through (as long as you are not a danger to yourself or others of course). I drove over an hour to go to this specific training and highly recommend it!

Dave G and Jose are definitely the stars of this training course. I just finished my course today and passed! I was extremely hesitant to take this course since I have no background in motorcycles but this training aided me in my confidence. You will get tired if you take this course because it is a lot of moving. From bikes and simulations to performance, you really put your body through a lot. Do not expect the itinerary to be exact. If there were parts we couldn't grasp the first time, we were given adequate remedial training sessions to get us comfortable. Do bring water and make sure you are hydrated because these bikes are like sitting on a space heater. You will sweat and you will get dirty, so don't bring nice clothes. Overall, Dave and Jose made sure we all knew what we were doing and provided adequate jokes to get us out of our heads so that we didn't overthink the tasks. If you get the chance to take the course with them, as Nike would say, just do it!

Went here to get my endorsement and was surprised by how in depth they go! Make sure you are very attentive and listen well! The instructors will teach you everything you need to know! They are friendly but also will correct you on things you aren’t doing well. Instructor Dave is a straight shooter (tell u like it is politely) who will LITERALLY walk you through what you need to do step by step as many times as needed and THEN he will still give you a demonstration on the bike! I'm a female who joined the class admittedly only wanting to learn to drive manual transmission with very little interest in motorbiking to come out of it very excited about the prospect of buying/riding a bike. I've never been on a motorbike before, and so it was initially a nervous experience. The first 2-3 hours on the range were rough and discouraging, but Dave was patient and encouraging with me, giving me useful feedback on what I was doing right/wrong each time I passed him in each exercise (there were about 10, maybe around 5-10 repetitions each exercise). I ended the class a competent parking lot rider and aced the driving test on the second day. Also took my wife's standard car in a parking lot after the class and was able to drive it with the same technique :) He did start to get a little short after repeating himself with certain students, not me specifically, but mainly because it's the umpteenth time that he's had to repeat it. Best advice I can give is don't feel pressured, he's a good guy and he clearly wants to see his students succeed in the class but more importantly, on the road. Thanks Dave and John!
