I just took drivers Ed with “open road driving school” I went from being so nervous to start doing drivers Ed to being so excited to have another drive time. The drivers Ed instructors are amazing and make everything overall a very fun time.

I cannot say enough about Open Road and the service they provide. My child went from being incredibly anxious and terrified of driving to becoming a confident and incredibly safe driver with this program! ALL of the instructors are kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable and supportive. The classroom portion is done at your own pace and includes modern information and videos. Jenny does a great job relating to the kids and works hard to get points across in a relevant way. The drive times are easy to understand, and they work with you at scheduling to try and fit around your schedule. I truly cannot thank Open Road and the staff enough for the experience my daughter had. Thank you Open Road and we look forward to sending our younger kids your way soon!

I just finished drivers ed here and I loved it. The instructor Jenny is extremely kind and very energetic, she uses stories and games to make the class enjoyable and engaging. Drive times are also a blast. Each driving instructor talks with you as if you've been friends for ever. They're always super kind and make it a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend!!!

My son is now finishing drivers ed and loved every minute. The instructors make the drives informative and fun at the same time. The drive times were very flexible and accommodating to our schedule, even being picked up to drive right after school at the school. Open Road was a such an amazing drivers ed class! Class was very engaging with driving videos and the easy to read slides, we have a lot of fun but also learn everything we need to know about driving. Driving was enjoyable, while also educational. The instructors are very friendly and always want to make sure we have fun on our drives but also learn everything we need to. I would recommend this class to anyone!

Great Course. It was a very fun class to attend. The instructors and teachers were very knowledgeable about the topics and very good at teaching them to us. The class itself contained lots of useful information that I would not have known otherwise. The driving instructors were very careful and safe and made sure we knew lots of technical driving processes to ensure our safety in the future. It was a fantastic course and I would recommend it to anyone considering taking a Driver's Ed course.

When she was teaching she was very funny and had lots of good jokes. The driving instructors were very helpful and patient. Open road driving is one of my favorite parts about my freshman year. The instructors were amazing. Jenny and Ryan always made the class fun. The curriculum is very well put together and every moment of class is planned out and utilized. Absolutely loved our experience with Open Road. They are a small operation with attention to each child. I had twins take the class, and they knew each one distinctively and their assets and weaknesses. This class was a great experience, far better than I thought I would have at a driving school. The classroom time was fun and engaging, while also extremely informative and up-to-date. The teaching and driving staff were all fantastic and I had a great time in both areas. All drive scheduling was efficient and manageable. I would recommend this driving school to everyone.

I honestly did not expect driver’s ed to be as fun as it was with the instructors here with Open Road. I was really nervous at first about the class, the tests, possible awkward drives with instructors but this class was super engaging, fun, friendly, and encouraging. The instructors easily become your friends, and are extremely easy to work with and talk to. For a simple driver’s ed class that could easily become boring, this highly exceeded my expectations. I’m honestly going to miss Jenny, Ryan, Karl, and all the others, it was a fantastic experience.

It was so much fun!!!! The teacher was great she told a lot of personal experience stories and she had a lot of enthusiasm. The driving instructors were also really awesome!!!! At one point when I was driving we created the Drivers Ed Musical! It was awesome and I wouldn'6 choose any other Drivers Ed school over Open Road!!

I started driver's ed with parents and other family member's stories of how boring, drawn-out, and uneventful it was, so naturally I had low expectations. However, after only a few hours with Open Road I realized that this driving school was none of those things; I was actually having fun! The instructors were funny, engaging, and very efficient at going through the material. While my parents drivers ed courses lasted weeks or even months, Open Road managed to consolidate it to 10 days! The best part of the course wasn't the class, though; it was the actual driving lessons. The instructors managed to make teaching a new driver the basics laid-back and fun. I actually started looking forward to each of the two-hour drives. If you are looking to enroll in a Driving School I would highly recommend Open Road.

This experience is unforgettable! Our class was taught by Jenny , and she was literally the best. She knew how to keep the class locked in while she was teaching and she always found a way to make it fun. I drove with Ryan every time and it was SO fun. We went to places like Lake McBride and Kalona. We went to get food and snacks, it was so much fun!

Jenny is super fun and makes class interesting. The instructors are patient and helpful. The class does go pretty fast, but it you are done in 10 days which is great. The guest speakers are engaging and the case studies in class make the material more applicable and real. Overall a great way to take driver's education!

Great way to quickly learn the necessary information to get your drivers’ license. Even though the course was 1 1/2 weeks, I felt equipped to handle almost any situation that I came across on the road. Videos of real crashes demonstrate the consequences of not following road laws, which encourages students to apply skills to reality, and not forget them as soon as they leave the class. Jenny, who teaches the classroom portion is energetic and always keeps the class moving, and driving instructors are personal and adaptive to personal needs. They were even willing to drop me off at work after some of my drive times to accommodate my schedule! Would definitely recommend for any person looking for a driver’s ed class!

I really enjoyed this class. The instructor was really nice and fun. We take notes but overall not that many and there's only two homework assignments which aren't very hard. If you study your material you should do well on the tests. My driving experience was much better than I thought it was gonna be. The driving instructors didn't make me feel nervous. Overall I think I really improved on my knowledge of the road and my driving abilities.

My daughter had a great time taking this class. She loved all of the instructors & how they made it a fun experience. At the beginning of the week she barely knew how to drive & after a week I feel like she has been driving for years. Her confidence has skyrocketed & I can honestly say I feel very safe being her passenger. Nice work Open Road!!

Really good course! Learned lots about not just driving, but how to buy a car, how to maintain a car, and just how dangerous it is to drive impaired. Jenny and the various instructors are all great and really light hearted, and I didn’t feel super pressured to the point that I couldn’t learn from my mistakes. We had Karl for a good portion of our drives, and he’s amazing!! Would recommend taking this class.

Going into the class I did not know what to expect. The instructors made the class informative, but yet fun. I gained a lot of useful knowledge and helpful driving techniques. After the six sessions of driving, I could tell that my driving had improved. I would highly recommend taking this class!

My son said that the class was not only educational but very fun as well. The class instructor, Jenny was his driving instructor and he said that she was very friendly and engaging as well as fun but also educational and always put safety first. The Priuses could be identified from far away because of its colorful and smart appearance that lets others know it's a driver's ed car. He said that the class was also engaging and fun and he liked how they had different videos and activities almost everyday. He highly recommends this drivers ed program and I do too.

Jenny makes the class super fun and all of the driving instructors were very nice. It's great that it only takes two weeks to complete, and the driving sessions are scheduled during the same two weeks that you have class. It makes the class relate much more to the driving, and it's easier because what you learned in class is still fresh in your mind when you go out on the road. Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to take driver's ed!!

Drivers Ed was so much fun because of the instructors. I recommend coming here rather than joining any other drivers ed and buying a tee-shirt at the end of class. You learn so much and it feels like no time at all. You learn a lot and watch a lot of videos too. Would definitely recommend.

Coming to class every morning was a little tough, but Jenny was always enthusiastic, funny, and ready to teach. I enjoyed driving with the instructors, who were very helpful and patient. Open Road Driving is a great program!

Hands down the best (and only) drivers Ed class I’ve taken!! From the viewpoint of a student, I learned a lot and am certain that my driving has improved. The driving practice sessions were super duper amazing and Ryan made them 20 times better!!

Even though you have to sit in class for ten days three hours each, this is still a really good drivers ed class. Jenny makes this class much more enjoyable, and you gain a lot of important lessons when coming out of this class. The six hours of driving are very helpful, and the instructors are really good as well.

I love this driving school so much! After a friend seggested it to me, I looked it up and signed up for the class! Open Road is by far the best driving school in all of south east Iowa. Jenny is a rock star! You can defiantly tell that she puts a lot of effort into making every class an exceptional experience. Ryan is very knowledgeable and is fun to do driving time with. I feel like they really cared about me personally and wanted me to succeed. They listened to all of my concerns and made sure that I thoroughly understood the material and laws involved in driving. If you want your kids to learn and not complain about having to go to drivers education, send them to Open Road!

I held off driving because I hadn't found a good teacher yet. When I began open road I forgot there are bad teachers. I was encouraged and given entirely positive interactions. I began knowing so little but knew I'd grow enough to gain my license. This is a friendly, comfortable and easy experience. And you can tell how much they believe in you and know you can be successful.

I LOVEDDDDDD open road. It wasn't at all like school, and it was more interesting than I thought. Jenny's teaching skills are on point, and I wouldn't say there is any improvement to be done. There were very good instructors, and there were only a few instructors that I didn't like. Overall this class is very intriguing, and I couldn't have had a better time. Also, PAY ATTENTION TO NOTES IN CLASS! That's what you'll need for the final.

Fun class to be in. Very informative. The instructors stories helped bring a deeper understanding of what we were discussing. The same is true with video clips we watched. They provided a visual to go along with the mental idea of what crashes and other things would look like in real life.

I really enjoyed learning in different methods like taking notes, moving to stations and having visuals. During this class you learn way more than you ever could from a parent or just driving. This class has prepared me to drive and I now know what to expect. Jenny, the instructor, had a very positive attitude and connected with us through driving everyday.

After classes, I would ask my daughter how everything went. She would respond saying that it went good, but she needed more practice with driving. During the course of the ten days, she kept saying that her instructors were helping her and that she was getting better. I learned from my child that the experience wasn't bad at all and that she had a lot of fun and even met some new people. The times of the classes are really convenient especially during things like spring break because it's only 10 days.

Loved the course. I enrolled, expecting a boring classroom where the instructor drones about signs and how to steer. What I actually experienced was a really fun instructor (the one and only Jenny) and an eye-opening presentation. There was a variety of things we did, such as watching videos where people screw up (plopping into a laundromat), real stories about teen drivers (Liz Marks), and lots of recent news articles/documentaries about terrible driving incidents (Justine Winter). In addition to learning how to drive safely on the road, we also received lots of valuable training on relevant topics such as carjacking, insurance, and gassing the car. The BTW (behind the wheel) instructors were also very friendly. They were patient with new drivers and helped turn near-misses or accidents into a learning experience. Most definitely recommend this course to any drivers looking for their school or intermediate licenses.

I'm not a morning person but coming to class got easier as the 9 days got on. Class discussions were interesting and sometimes on topic. The guest speakers were fun to listen to because it was a change in topic. The large class size was kind of hard to deal with in the small space provided. Jenny is always enthusiastic on every topic.

I would really recommend coming here for Drivers ed. Everything seems pretty relaxed and it didn't seem as stressful as I thought it would be. There was hardly any homework but you learned a lot in class. They make it so that You not only learn about drivers ed but also how to be safe and why you should not do something, not just do not do it. The instructors were great and you could tell Jenny was very passionate about her job and tries to make the experience as fun as possible. The drivers are very patient and kind. 10/10 reccommend.

My daughter is currently taking an open road drivers Ed class and she tells me on a daily basis that her instructors are outgoing and very patient and kind with her and their other students. She also learns many new things. Her classroom teacher, Jenny is someone she enjoys too since my daughter claims that she makes the classroom environment more fun and lively rather than boring and bland. They also do interactive activities at times rather than hearing a teacher always lecture and take notes on what's being lectured. I'd recommend this to my friends that have children that will be needing to take drivers Ed too. Open road drivers Ed is 100% worth it. I promise you that your children will enjoy it over other drivers Ed programs.

Pretty good school. The class was updated on news and there were no old tapes with cheesy 90s music and giving the general message to "be safe" (thank god). Class was informative (I actually learned stuff!) and the instructor (Jenny) knew what she was doing. She always found new ways to keep us learning without the constant boring notes (though we still did that). Breaks were great too. The driving was safe and there was always things to learn. Textbook work was light and assignments were reasonable. Overall I learned a lot and learned to be a better, safer, greater driver.

I learned so many things from this class. Coming into this class I had only drove a few times. After my 6 hours of driving with an instructor I learned to be aware and safe when driving. Also it was fun having different instructors through out the time. You got different view points from everyone.

It was a lot of fun, and it’s not too much information at once. Jenny works hard to make sure everyone has the information, and that everyone gets their drives done. It was a great time!

The material taught is diverse and covered in multiple ways other than just notes. The class is exciting and the videos shown display the dangers of driving. I would recommend it if you're willing to wake up early.

It was certainly an educational experience, the information given being incredibly valuable. Boredom was inevitable but the occasional disinterest didn’t take away from the class too much. Yet, some of the imagary was more upsetting than actually educational. I don’t remember the mistakes of the people in the dash cam footage, all I remember is bodies flipping through the air.

I liked the class because of the sense of urgency. Although I dislike some of the videos because if the person had any sort of reaction, they could've hit the brakes. I also like the..Brakes because it gives people a time to stretch. Epic

I really enjoyed thsi class a lot, I.T was a short class fulled with helpful information. We only had 3 easy test through out the week. We learned primarily through videos showing kids real life situations of kids our age.

I totally recommend this class. They tach u so much stuff and tell you about all the things you need to know know about buying a car and insurance. They also tell you about the things that can happen if you don stuff like texting and driving. I think this class would be perfect for any kid
