I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Castro and the staff at TGMG Lois! Though familiar with the area, I wasn't sure of the exact location and in retrospect chose a very poor route, which resulted in an arrival 10 minutes late. I felt bad but did not think it too egregious since life has taught me to expect long waits in medical offices. But when I walked in, to my surprise, the waiting room was practically empty, and not because they weren't seeing patients (while there, I saw several patients exit after seeing the doctor), but rather because this office is wonderfully efficient! At the front desk, Alice greeted me with a warm smile and was very friendly. Though I felt sheepish for my regrettable tardiness, her kindness immediately put me at ease and made me feel welcome. I didn't have to wait long (between 5 and 10 min) before I was taken back to an examination room by one of the physician's assistants, Abigail, who was pleasant and professional. After taking my vitals, she reviewed the questionnaire I was asked to fill out in the waiting room and inquired about one of the answers I had provided, to ensure I fully understood the question and the implications of my answer, which I definitely hadn't, so I immediately changed the answer to ensure it was accurate. I am grateful to her for paying attention and not simply going through the motions! After she left, I didn't have to wait long (again between 5 and 10 min) before being seen by Dr. Castro. What a delight and a breath of fresh air to encounter such a doctor! Not only is he obviously very smart and a straight-talker, he is also down-to-earth and funny. We discussed my issue, he shared his knowledge and opinion, and wrote scripts for some tests to be performed. When he left the examination room, I felt completely satisfied both with the interaction we'd had and the medical plan he had put in motion. After a few minutes, a different physician's assistant, Gail, came in to provide the scripts that Dr. Castro had written and we went over them to ensure that everything was clear. Not surprisingly, Gail was also very pleasant and sincere in her style of communication, which resonated with me because I had already been seen by the doctor at that point, so she was under no obligation to do anything but shoo me toward the exit. Finally, as I was leaving, I checked in at the front desk and a different lady, who was on the phone at the time, put the person on a brief hold so she could check me out, rather than forcing me to wait until the call had ended, which I found very considerate. I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Castro and couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Top quality care administered by staff that are polite, friendly, courteous and professional... what more could you ask for?

Dr. Castro, is by are the best Dr. I have ever had and I am 44 years old. He will be my PCP as long and he stays in the area and I am forced to find another PCP and I hope that never happens. He really cares about his patients, you're not just another patient. He takes him time and he truly listens to your cares and any concern that you may have. He is God send.

Dr. Castro has a caring approach with a no bs attitude. He sticks with the facts, is very thorough and seems to show good insights into the root causes of heath problems. I highly recommend him. I have not had the same experience with some other office staff though. Try to see only him.

This was my first visit with Dr. Castro, and he was relatable, personable and very clear in his explanations and took the time to look at me and talk to me and listen to me instead of talk at me. He provided excellent care and he partners with you and not just tell you what to do. He takes the time to explain what he wants you to do and why and if possible shows you visually what he is trying to explain. We need more doctors like him.

VERY intelligent doctor with great feel for diagnostics both of my sisters are MDs so I’m quite critical. While his practice is pretty busy, once I became a regular patient of his, I have been able to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time if I had a pressing need.

I deal with office management and other offices on a daily and everything about this office is just a delight, from the staff, the doctor , and the waiting time. Dr Castro was amazing! This was my first time having him since my current doctor, Dr Ray, was not available for an appointment that day. I needed a prescription refill, so it was urgent that I have an appointment asap. He was able to squeeze me in and get me seen right away. This is also during COVID-19, so you can imagine it would have been difficult to get an appointment regardless, so I was really thankful to be seen. He listened and wanted to know about anything else that was going on while I was there, so that I wouldn't have to come back in anytime soon, which was really thoughtful! He got me refills and also got me referrals I needed. I would definitely recommend him and Dr Ray, my current doctor at that practice. All the doctors and the staff care and listen and I would recommend being seen at this practice.

Finally a doctor i can talk to. Our reg doctor that we loved left to go somewhere else so we had to find a new doctor. We went to a couple others but weren't comfortable with them. We never got to see the doctor, just a nurse practitioner even tho they told us we would see the doctor when we called & they never got back when we had a question . Then a friend recommended Dr Castro & I'm so glad he did. Dr Castro came in with a smile, went over our history, never felt rushed, he ordered tests,, then they even called us back to see if we scheduled tests yet & would help us if we didn't. We're relieved to finally have a doctor that we can go to for all our health needs & feel comfortable seeing. No wait either, they got us in within 15 minutes instead of the usual 30 min to an hour wait. I would def recommend Dr Castro to anyone looking for a doctor in the area. You won't be disappointed .

I've had a handful of primary care doctors over the past 5 years. Dr. Castro has been my favorite. He's nonjudgmental, he listens, and he doesn't dismiss any concerns you may have. Out of all the doctors I've gone to (and worked with), his bedside manner has been the most impressive. The front office staff and MAs are worth mentioning too. I've called in for prior authorizations and they were unbelievably quick to get me cleared. They've been the most consistently friendly group I've ever had the pleasure of meeting; there hasn't been one employee who didn't go above and beyond when I asked a question or needed something done. I actually moved out of the area and decided to keep Dr. Castro as my PCP. This practice is worth the drive.

First time I visited Dr. Castro was eight months ago (July 2019) for physical and then four days ago (Jan 2020) for follow-up. One about 10-15 minutes wait time....very good. Both times he showed a good beside manner and was professional. He listened to my history but like most doctors, his attention was also focused on typing in the information on the network in order to save time; they always seem to be in a bit of a hurry so a patient feels a little rushed. I told him how dissatisfied I was with an orthopedic specialist (with an excellent reputation) who gave me a very cursory exam for my left knee in December 2019. I either reaggravated an old injury or caused a new one (was painful/swollen 3-4 days). No pain and ok to walk now, but I can't run or play tennis because I'm not certain I will not reinjure it and set it back another few months. The specialist just recommended I do some exercises for muscles attached to the knee to strengthen them, and prescribed a knee brace to wear. Dr. Castro immediately ordered me an MRI, I didn't even ask for it or expect it. I will continue to see Dr. Castro and I do recommend him.
