If I could give them more stars I would, I have never minded the dentist in fact I tend to be pretty indifferent. I absolutely love this place and the staff here. I moved to Kansas in August and I've known I had cavities in need of filling and assumed I would have more by this point so I called, they got me in the next day for an "emergency appointment" so they targeted one area to look at and it was free. They do work with my insurance which I was told a much more complicated answer by the Hillsboro location, they ended up being able to do 3 fillings on my left side as well as a wisdom tooth extraction the same day. They were very professional, accommodating, kind, and quick. They gave me a blanket, offered a pillow (I declined) , I took a nap while they did the fillings and then was mostly awake for the extraction which took all of 5 minutes. They made sure I was comfortable, explained everything, answered all my questions, and completely numbed in the area needed. I have never loved a dentist before and I absolutely love this place. Fantastic atmosphere and service. I even received a hand written thank you letter from Molly (loved talking with her). I'm healing just fine, they answered all my questions that came up a few days later. This place really deserves all the best, I will be returning.

Took me as a mid day walk in for a chipped tooth. Went through a full check up; repaired my tooth and a few extra small bits while in for service. Whole staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My teeth definitely look a million times better after leaving. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable dentist with fair prices.

I had the best experience here. Same day treatment and they even helped me with a bunch of different payment options. I went in to have an exam done and it had been a long time since I went to a dentist. Let me put your mind at ease, they took great care of me as a new patient. They did my X-rays, evaluated a plan for me, and we're in the process of taking it one step at a time to get my dental health back on track. I felt zero pain, they constantly checked up on me, and they did an amazing job on my fillings, my teeth feel like they did 20 years ago and I owe that to East Wichita Dentist. Additionally I must give high praises to the Entire staff for supporting me and finishing an entire bridge in one day! Well I've never had a bad experience going to a dentist so I never understood the fear most people have going to see one. Then the day came I had to see one so I picked Dr. Koepsel because he had the best reviews, I can see why that is because I myself am giving his staff as well as him five stars for one of the best experiences I've had at a dentist. Everything was clearly explained to me what was going to happen to when my next visit will be if all my appointments are going to be this good I look forward to keeping him as my new dentist. I will recommend him to anyone that needs a dentist.

Now that I've become a patient here- I can pretty much guarantee I'll never need to set foot in another dental office. Dr. Koepsel and his staff listen more attentively then anywhere else I've ever been. My dental work was so customized! They even encouraged me to list in detail EXACTLY what I wanted my teeth to look like AND to provide them pictures. There was a scheduling mishap one day, (which wasn't really a big deal.) But the next day in the mail I received a card from them thanking me for my understanding. This is the most friendly place I have ever been. Dr. Koepsel is the most skilled and knowledgeable dentist I have ever been to. (And he's funny!) His nurturing guidance and treatment of you from start to finish seems to be the standard in this office- and NOT the exception. The OUTSTANDING staff here seemed like they were informed and trained far beyond what is required of them to do a good job. In fact, they DON'T do a GOOD job here. They do a PHENOMENAL one!!!!

I called several offices and they got me in last minute with an absesd tooth. They not only took care of that problem but they also fixed a mess up from another dentist from a year ago. Had a bad toothache over the weekend and because of labor day I couldn’t find anyone to see me. But Sandy said come on in! All the staff was extremely nice! Dr. Koepsel made me feel so comfortable. I had to get a root canal done which isn’t the most fun but the Dr. was efficient and funny which made the time go by just a tad quicker. I absolutely hate going to the dentist but I definitely think I found the one dentist office for me ❤️❤️❤️ 100/10

Awesome, friendly staff. I went in to get a wisdom tooth extracted that’s been bothering me for years. Dr. Pargman and Mrs. Patricia were highly attentive and comforting. If you’re shopping for a dental provider on the east side of ‘Ta, East Wichita Dentist is a great choice. My interaction with Dr. Koepsel is always relaxed, leaving me confident that he’s thoroughly diagnosing the issue and recommending the best course of treatment. When there’s a ‘grey area’, his years of experience provide a solid foundation for his recommendation. Staff is equally competent and kind - I get a handwritten ’Thank you!’ card after every treatment - and the facility is top-notch with respect to today’s dental technology. I always leave fully informed on post-treatment expectations and recommendations. EWD will brighten your smile!

Growing up I had a fear of going to dentist and had some procedures that I should of been sedated for, but wasn't. Coming here, they understand and have several options to accommodate you pain tolerance, so far I've only had 1 procedure done, 2 teeth pulled, 3 fillings and was able to save a tooth by deeply cleaning around it. They offer IV sedation which is what I did, it's through a third party company, they were great, little pricey cause most insurances don't cover it and have to pay at time of procedures same with the office, you pay up front at time of procedures. At first I didn't like that, but its kinda nice once you are done with your appointment and walk out, no bills in the mail, when your done, your done. Only problem I see is if something was urgent to be done and you wouldn't have time to save, and IV sedation is about a 3 to 4 week waiting period, which allowed me to save money up to the time of my appointment. Overall dr. Koepsel is amazing, great guy! Hopefully I helped in your decision, have a great day!

Every person is so friendly, greets me by name when I walk in, and the dentists take such good care of me. The manager, Joyce, has been so great to me and always goes above and beyond. Love it here!

My 1st experience was as the concerned Wife. My husband woke up one day with a swollen cheek and in horrible pain. He was traumatized by a dentist in his childhood and almost had a panic attack thinking of having to go to the dentist. I went to Google and found this dentistry since they do emergency service. They immediately got him in the same day and put him at ease. The next appointment, after saving, my hubs went in to have all the work done. He HAD to be sedated. The office put me at ease and Dr. Koepsal took amazing care of him and even saved one tooth we thought needed pulled. He called me to even communicate the new plan before he did it! He wanted to make sure I agreed and my husband would agree. The only hard that stinks is that antastesia is NOT covered by any dental insurance and all dentists use the 3rd party company that requires payment at the time of service. Fast forward to a month later and I broke a tooth. I actually went to my dentist that I normally see and they don't remove teeth...so u instantly called Dr. Koepsal while I was still in MY dentist's parking lot...they got me in right away and removed my tooth that day. It was the easiest dental experience I have ever had. I only needed local numbing so no need for me to wait. I am no longer going back to my old dentist. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this office and Doctor!

He won’t recommend treatments when they aren’t necessary, but does fantastic work when they are. He’s also quite entertaining while he’s working!

Your smile is the pathway to your heart. After having perfect teeth for nearly fifteen years, I chipped one of the front teeth of my dentures. I had dropped them earlier that week, but I have dropped them before, except this time they probably hit on that particular tooth and while eating peanuts a pretty good size of the tooth chipped off. I have to tell you, even though I was grateful I hadn’t broken the plate, it was totally deflating. After having perfect teeth for nearly fifteen years, I had chipped a tooth. I didn’t even want to get out of bed. I had always known my dentist had made me a good set of denture. I had dropped them before, but the plate is thick & heavy. I didn’t have the money at the time to replace them; I was and still am reluctant to replace them with an “affordable” set, not really knowing what I was going to get for that price and then it occurred to me that maybe someone could simply replace the tooth. East Douglas Dentist was able to do this in only 24 hours at a more than affordable price. I am totally blown away by this place. Everyone was very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. And when I do need my dentures replaced, I will definitely go here and I totally recommend them to anyone who needs dentures, needs denture repair or simply needs dental work. I have my smile and my confidence back I think, especially in this day & age, when everyone is wearing a mask and no one can see your smile, it’s more important than ever to have a great smile so than when you do drop that mask, everyone can see what a beautiful smile you have. Thanks to everyone at East Wichita Dentist I have mine back! Peace.

This is the best dentist office I have ever been to in my 53 years of life! Dr Koepsel is the first dentist to understand my anxiety and work with me, and get me through the visit with such a kind gentleness. He's pretty funny too! In the last 3 years, I have had implants, crowns, fillings, etc done here, and I won't go anywhere else. All of the office staff has been super friendly and helpful. I am so relieved to have found this place, and my anxiety has gone down quite a bit when I have to go in. My teeth are now fully restored, and I plan to keep it that way. I have extreme anxiety and fear with dental work. It took everything I had to make an appointment then it took everything for me to show up. Amy was very nice and talked me through everything. Very informative and amazing. The ladies are all very great and understanding. I chose this office due to the fact they offer sedation. Although I was embarrassed for letting my teeth get so bad, I was reassured to not feel embarrassed. Things happen and things prevent us from fixing it. Affordable. Pleasant. I called to set up my first appointment, and instead of waiting several weeks to get in, they scheduled me for two days later. Everyone was extremely nice and professional. Amy was my hygienist and she actually took the time to explain everything she was doing and why. This is a wonderful amazing dentist office. They help me out in a time of need. I had a serious abscess going on. Originally went to GraceMed what a nightmare it was. Grace med saying they could get me in same day, wait around 5 hours to find out might not happen. Called East Wichita dental and they were able to get me in right away. The staff is amazing, overall a wonderful place. Really clean,can't go wrong going here. I feel it's the best dentist office in town. I've been to several unfortunately. I appreciate all they have done for me.

The most caring and friendly staff! Exactly what you want when you have to go to the dentist. I had a substantial amount of work done right away, Dr. Koepsel called to personally check on how I was healing and his office phoned my husband three times to offer updates on my progress during the procedure. As someone who has suffered pretty severe anxiety around the dentist's chair in past years, I can honestly say that I now enjoy going to the dentist and taking charge of my dental health. Dr. Koepsel does fabulous work and is always so happy to see me :-D Comfort is their top priority, so if you have any nerves about going to the dentist they will definitely take good care of you. They have helped me through an impacted wisdom tooth and a failed root canal (ouch!), and I couldn't be happier with how quickly they were able to work me in when I was in pain and get me the treatment I needed. Although some are definitely better than others, I haven’t found an office that sticks with me. After a visit to this office, I can happily say I have found my favorite dentist office in Wichita. I called this location after having a horrible experience at an oral surgeon's office. Front desk was so supportive and compassionate and they sought to take care of me from start to finish. It was only my third time at East Wichita Dentist but yet some of the employees knew me by name. Tiffany was my hygienist and she took her time with my cleaning. I called this office on a Monday, hoping and praying that I could get in. I had broken a tooth that past weekend and a filling had also fallen out of it. I was in severe pain and they got me in that morning. I needed a root canal and a crown and every person from the front desk to the dentist, himself, was awesome. I was in the dental chair most of the day and they made sure I was comfortable the whole time. My assistant was funny and we talked like old friends. My dentist was amazing. I actually fell asleep while getting my root canal! I was that relaxed. They went through payment options with me and, honestly, for as much as I had done, the final cost was half of what I thought it would be. AND~normally you have to get a temporary crown and wait until the permanent one is done 2-3 weeks down the road, but they had mine done within an hour. No having to go back - & since I live an hour away, that was so nice. These are some of the greatest people!!! The dentist, himself, called me the next day to make sure I was doing ok and not in any pain and a week later, I got a thank you card from the assistant, letting me know she enjoyed our time together and spoke of the conversations we had in the card- so I know she remembered me. That’s pretty remarkable for this day and time. My kids and I will definitely be going back. They are a wonderful crew and I thank all of them for helping me in my time of need.

They are so accommodating and receptive to patients‘ wants and needs. The entire staff works to make sure you feel comfortable, safe, and well-informed from the waiting to the service to the financial portion of each visit. Their office is clean and everyone communicates really well with other staff and patients. I recommend all the staff, but on my particular visit Michelle stayed with me, understood my fear around anesthetic and got me glucose tablets and water to help my shaking after the anesthesia caused an adrenaline rush. No one rushed me through any part of my visit, and Dr. Pargman made sure my filling was comfortable to bite and she clearly answered all of my questions. Thank you!

It was juts by chance that I had a bad tooth and my normal dentist wanted me to wait a week to get me in and that was after I had to drive all the way there because they wouldn’t answer the phone and kept me on hold the second time I called for 45 mins! I called and they were able to get me In the next morning and would have actually done it that day but I had an appointment that I couldn’t miss. I started coming here six years ago and the people keep me coming back. Tiffany, Dr Koepsel, Kelsey, and the front desk folks are good about listening to my needs and providing me with quality teeth cleanings. I'm prompted for x-rays each time I visit, but I say no thanks and the staff respects my choice. I wasn't sure how things would be when the former owner/dentist retired, but David has done a great job since he stepped in and bought the practice. I'd go so far as to say things have improved. One can tell when employees are glad to work for a business, and there's no exception here. When I want to learn, Tiffany does a really good job educating me on how I can better take care of my teeth. It turns out good brushing and flossing technique is important for long term health of your mouth and your body. I learn something new each time I come. I'm grateful for the service here.

This place changed my view of "Goingto the Dentist". I have never had "real" dental work done. Like I've done small cleanings here and there but nothing serious at all...ever! But I was going to a dentist and was having severe tooth pain and they told me I needed a Root Canal but couldn't help me until a month later. I couldn't wait that long. So I called around and found this place and they got me an appointment for three days later at 8am and it was pretty amazing. I needed a lot of work done in one day and they did it all (as long as I was comfy). I was what the Doctor called a "Marathon Patient". The receptionist, the hygienist, the Dental Assistant & The Dentist herself we're pretty great, nice, sweet, funny and I felt really cared about how I was feeling considering all the work I was having done at once. I went to this dentist because my husband is a patient there he said they were very gentle and did good work. I have severe dentist phobia. I was in tears when I called the dentist to make an appointment and the receptionist was so wonderful so kind and compassionate. I went in for my first visit and found that the whole staff was that way from the receptionist to the person doing the billing to the dentist and the dental hygienist they are a wonderful group of people that make you feel comfortable , are very gentle and let you know up front what your cost is going to be for the next procedure. When my husband went to them they gave him several choices as to which direction to go with his teeth, we felt like we were in control of what was going on how much we were going to spend and what the outcome would be I was 200% pleased with them in every way highly recommend them if your looking for a new dentist be sure to try them first. After going there I am sure I will NEVER go anywhere else.. They really deserve more than five stars.

The office staff were exceptionally kind. When I called to set up my apt, they were able to work around my work schedule and was able to get me in quickly. The office itself is a little misleading on the outside, bc you don’t expect it to be as BIG and as high tech as it is!!! There were TVs in the corner of almost every room and while there were no doors, you didn’t feel like the person in the next room could hear your conversations. The technicians were kind and knowledgeable and able to answer my questions. I was able to see my X-ray within minutes of them being taken and we were able to discuss my wisdom tooth removal and why I would need to be referred to an oral surgeon. I learned more about my teeth in an hour and a half visit than all my late night googling dealing with tooth pain. I even received a handwritten letter from Michelle today thanking me for my visit. Which is why I’m writing this review now. The care and dedication shown by everyone on this team put any fear or trepidation I had out of my mind! I called them bc they were the most reviewed dentist in Wichita and now I know why! (Please note that the letter did not ask me to write a review. I was moved to do so on my own volition.)

Awesome Experience!! Haven't been in years since my last dentist retired. Resulting in an emergency visit to East Wichita Dentist Clinic. They scheduled me in right away as my pain was 10+. This place is a first class clinic! Upon arriving, I was greeted by Gaby and given a short tour of what they had to offer, insuring that everything was done in house with the latest technology. I had to have a root canal done so this was nice to know that my crown was not going to a foreign office to be molded! Luckily, I got Dr. Koepsel to rescue my tooth! Best experience at a dental office I've ever had! From walking in the door, getting my teeth cleaned, and being seen by the doctor I didn't feel like I had to be self-conscious about my teeth or the employees were trying to rush through me. In other offices, I always felt like I was getting judgmental comments, even for something as small as light staining or plaque build-up or get rushed through with half-attentive doctors who were over-scheduled. Here, Kelsea and Dr. Ashton Pargman were very friendly and informative throughout the entire process. I've had experiences at other offices like Wichita Family Dental who flag every hint of a developing cavity and pushed me getting a filling, which was extremely expensive and caused a strong aversion to going back. This office focuses on improving home cleaning and treatment (e.g. prescription toothpaste for a sensitive tooth) for a more cost-effective approach as opposed to going straight to drilling into my teeth. Highly recommend checking them out!

Dr. Koepsel’s office had by far the best reviews! I called and was set up with an appointment that week. First, the office is immaculately clean with the latest modernized equipment. They saw me immediately at my scheduled appointment time with Zero wait! And his staff- I just cannot even tell you how awesome his staff is. It’s borderline ridiculous! This was a last-minute appointment because of a broken tooth and they did amazing job, beginning with the front desk personnel, then the tech and on through the dentist. The broken tooth became a symptom of a much more serious problem, probably related to my cancer treatment. But they talked to my oncologist, then got an appt for me with an oral surgeon, spent the time calmly explaining to me and then with my husband what the issues and routes are. I will be going back regularly for my dental work, happily. EDIT: thought I should update after I had my fillings fully redone. I had some fillings done a few months ago at a different dentist that were causing some horrible cold sensitivity pain, even to warm water. Dr Koepsel redid them without any pain at all, something I was not used to at the dentist, and now the same day I can drink cold water. What relief after 4 months of struggle.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dr. Fankhauser! I HATED going to the dentist before going to Doc. He makes sure it is a comfortable environment and makes sure there is no anxiety. I have been going to him for about 10 years. I started out seeing him for TMJ and then moved completely to him for all my dentistry needs. He is a perfectionist which is a great thing when it comes to my teeth! :) My hygienist is wonderful as well. She keeps close tabs on any changes happening and keeps my best interests at heart. My stepdad went to Affordable Dentures because his bottom denture broke... they got him in right away and got him on his way all in the same day... included in payment for the replacement denture is payment for denture adjusting... when he called to get readjusted they tried to schedule him out three weeks... later that afternoon he called East Wichita Dentist and they got him in right away the next morning, the adjustment took 10 minutes and the customer service was exceptional!!! I came across this dentist office on Facebook and now I'm super thankful! I had great care there, but I'm blown away by how awesome they all are with kids! My oldest (8) and youngest (5) needed fillings. Neither one even knew they were getting a filling. No fear or tears, but laughing and smiles. They give the kids a little toy after, which they get pretty excited about. I keep expecting to come across a grumpy staff member, but they make me actually WANT to come back. Plus, one lady went above and beyond to try to save us money by recommending an insurance plan for us (which she said they get no benefits from sharing). When I came to East Wichita Dentist in the summer of 2014 last year I had a serious problem with a tooth my previous dentist of 17 years was unable to properly diagnose and treat. Within 5 minutes of looking at my x-rays Dr. Fankhauser was able to diagnose the problem and provide the proper course of treatment. If I had not went to East Wichita Dentist when I did, I very likely would have lost that tooth. I have since then made Dr. Fankhauser and East Wichita Dentist my new primary dental care. I have had several visits and procedures since then and each visit has been a positive one. The entire staff goes the extra mile to make you feel valued and comfortable. Their facility has some of the latest dental technology in Wichita.

Went to see Dr. Frankhauser in pain a year and a half ago crying because my jaw hurt so much i couldnt eat anything but smoothies. He diagnosed me with TMJ, took the time to explain what was happening inside my tempromandibular joint (with animations!) And immediately went to work making a splint to relieve my pain. A year later he had not only solved the pain but reshaped my bite so that it wouldnt happen again. The girls who work with him are very caring and really know their stuff and really take care of you there. Reception is always very accomodating. Dr. Frankhauser is also hilarious. Love East Wichita Dentist!
