The U Street Family Dentistry are all super kind and accommodating! Dr. Topiwala is very nice, efficient, and patient. I don’t like going to the dentist because I have sensitive teeth, but the staff makes the experience as pleasant as possible. They have also scheduled me for last minute appointments multiple times when I’ve had issues with my retainer that was making it difficult to eat, or when I needed something extra when I was just scheduled for a cleaning.

Love this dentist office. I appreciate their transparency and attention to detail. Dr. Patrick is really amazing and has her patient’s best interest at heart. When I realized she was out of network, I got really sad. However, she referred me to another great dentist in the office who I began seeing. When I had my first appointment with her she told me Dr. Patrick told her personally to take really good care of me. These small, personal touches make you feel at ease, especially considering that going to the dentist can be a daunting task. I love this office and am glad I chose to come here.

i literally never leave reviews for anything, but want to say how much i love u street family dentistry! it's been over a year since i've started going there, and everyone has been stellar. you receive such wonderful care from beginning to end. dr. topiwala is incredibly kind in listening to my concerns and also super thorough when it comes to dental health and all the hygienists are skilled in everything they do. the office is bright, clean, and they always have music or a tv show playing in the background. even though i've moved neighborhoods, i am more than happy to trek over for my dental appointments!

I really appreciated being able to watch TV during the cleaning, etc. to alleviate some of my anxiety about the visit. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and they were able to fit me in same-day for an emergency visit. The dentist (Dr. Topiwala) was able to identify the issue within 5 minutes and explain all the options we might take to resolve it. My previous dentist was not able to identify the issue and had done unnecessary work to resolve it, so a coworker recommend I check out U Street Family Dentistry. Not only were the dentist and dental assistant great, but the staff at the front desk (sorry I didn't catch a name) was extremely helpful and took time to explain the different costs I might encounter. They are professional and organized and don’t try to upsell you for dental work you don’t need. They take most PPO insurances. I have seen the same dentist consistently since I began going here. Visited U Street Family Dentistry for the first time for a cleaning and establishing patient visit. I was impressed with how helpful and supportive staff were with ensuring I had an appointment that worked, confirming correct insurance info so I wasn't hit with a surprise bill later, and being responsive. I saw Dr. Topiwala for my exam and cleaning. She actively listened to my concerns, was very knowledgeable, and made helpful suggestions for personal care between visits. Even more importantly, I appreciated how she talked through an additional service (based on my health history), asked whether it was covered by my insurance without prompting, and was transparent about cost. Parts of my actual cleaning were a little messy, but she was attentive. Honestly, I care more about treatment quality and knowledge base than whether I got a little water on my face.

I saw Dr. Yee as a new patient for a routine dental cleaning. On arrival I was promptly greeted by the front desk staff. I was brought back for treatment quickly. The dental assistant and hygienist were lovely. Dr. Yee talked me through every procedure, and even discussed the x-ray and photo findings with me. Dr. Yee and her staff provided excellent dental care. I will definitely be coming back!

I hate going to the dentist. But U Street Family Dentistry is incredible. Everyone, from the hygienists to the dentists, is kind and warm. Nobody berates you or makes you feel bad. They just take care of you. The office is clean and beautiful, there are TVs in the ceiling to distract kids (and adults, as needed). They move fast and I never have to wait. I had to have some serious dental work and it was fast and painless. I would recommend them highly to anyone, of any age, who is dentist adverse.

Update 2: I have continued seeing my dentist here. I had no follow up issues with my cavities. I've been able to avoid any additional cavities. The staff has been great about highlighting areas of concern in advance so that I can improve my brushing and routine. They are quite respectful and considerate, especially for me who never likes to go to the dentist Update: Cavity fillings went well! I've hardly had a tingle of pain as my tooth heals, and pleasantly watched tv while the work was done. Local anesthesia was adminstered well and worked great, I didn't feel a thing the whole time. Price with my insurance was better than my old dentist too! Kind, Professional, and Comfortable. I felt right at home during my my first trip! I asked and was given a price estimate for the work based on my insurance, and talked about my dental care shortcomings. I'll be back for a cavity filling unfortunately (they even used mirrors so I could see it with my own eyes), but feel like I'm in good hands. Will update!

I had a cleaning and check up with Dr. Topiwala today, i explained that i have severe anxiety about visiting the dentist and people working inside my mouth. She was caring and compassionate during the cleaning constantly checking if i was ok and she was very gentle. She was very detailed in explaining the treatment options and i never felt pressured. I was really nervous about coming in, but it was so refreshing to see such a compassionate and caring atmosphere. My receptionist (Indya) was so sweet and welcoming. My dental hygienist (Yolanda i think) was fantastic and my dental cleaning flew by. The dentist- Dr Yetunde Patrick - is the sweetest dentist I have ever met. I haven't been to the dentist since Aug 2019, so I was ready for a cleaning. From scheduling my first appointment, U Street Family Dentistry presented quick and kind customer service. I received my paperwork via email to complete online. The day of the appointment, I was running a bit late and they were so accommodating. When I arrived, I took note of their COVID precautions, where patients are supposed to text the office their last name to say they have arrived so no one sits in the waiting room. I was ushered in shortly right to the patient's chair. The hygienist was so knowledgeable and friendly! She made sure to educate me in dental hygiene as she was cleaning my teeth. She did such a thorough job! The dentist was kind and helpful when I had questions about problematic areas. Lastly, I walked away with the cutest tote bag filled with floss, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. 5/5! Highly recommend.

If is refreshing to have a caregiver who is knowledgeable, personable and professional. Not to mention, she has done a superb job fixing and maintaining my teeth with little or minimal pain. 1st off AMAZING TEAM. AMAZING DENTIST. AMAZING PEOPLE SKILLS. From the first call i made to them an awesome receptionist picked up. Made me feel so welcomed already. I had a bad infection that needed an extraction and they worked with me and my helplessness. I am beyond grateful. Dr. Yetunde and her staff are consistent, thorough, and highly skilled! In getting several cavities filled, Dr. Yetunde nimbly applied numbing medicine, was very careful during the process, and answered my many questions in detail. As someone who is somewhat squeamish, it was a better experience than I expected! I highly recommend their office.

I've been to two cleanings now at U Street Family Dentistry and both of them have been nothing short of amazing! I have tried several dentists here in the DC area and none have compared to U St! The staff are all extremely friendly! Yetunde and Joann are both so kind, efficient (finished in 30 minutes or less), yet gentle (with my sensitive gums) and honest. I have a very busy schedule like most of us in DC and during the week just doesn't work for me to take time off to go to the dentist, which is why U St family Dentistry being open on some weekends is definitely the icing on the cake!
